TAKATA RECALL. THIS VEHICLE RECALL WAS ISSUED IN MAY 2015. THAT IS OVER 18 MONTHS AGO WITH STILL NO RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. EVERY TIME I ASK FORD ABOUT THIS RECALL, THEY REPLY THAT PARTS ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE. I AM APPREHENSIVE TO OPERATE THIS VEHICLE WITH AN AIRBAG THAT COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE A FATALITY.
ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY FAILURE CAUSED CAR TO GO INTO "LIMP HOME MODE" (5 MPH) WHILE DRIVING FORWARD AT NORMAL SPEED OF 45 MPH IN TRAFFIC ON A CITY STREET.
TAKATA AIRBAG I HEARD IN THE NEWS A FEW DAYS AGO THAT IF YOU HAD A CAR WITH TACATA AIRBAGS YOU COULD CALL THE DEALER AND THEY WOULD PUT YOU IN A LOANER CAR. I CALLED GALLOWAY FORD WHRE I BOUUGHT THE CAR SPOKE TO HYDEE AND SHE TOLD ME TO CALL CUSTOMERS RELATIONS , I DID I SPOKE TO MCKAPAE, SHE TOLD ME THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE A REPLACEMENT AND THAT THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME A LOANER BECAUSE OF THE CAR YEAR
WHEN WILL REPAIR S BE COMPLETED HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR ?
TAKATA RECALL. I AM TRYING TO SELL THIS VEHICLE TO PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE. THE TRADE IN VALUE IS DIMINISHED AND THE LOAN VALUE IS TOO LOW FOR PROSPECTIVE BUYERS TO PURCHASE MY VEHICLE. FORD IS UNABLE TO REMEDY THE RECALL ISSUE IN A TIMELY MANNER.
LAST SEPTEMBER 15TH 2016THURSDAY NIGHT I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON ROAD PR2 IN QUEBRADILLAS PUERTO RICO. AROUND 50MPH. SUDDENLY THE CAR COLLAPSE IN THE LEFT FRONT END. I TRY TO PULL THE VEHICLE TO THE RIGHT WITHOUT ANY RESPONSE, I TRY TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN AND NO BRAKE RESPONSE. I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, FINALLY THE VEHICLE STOP WHEN TOUCH THE CENTER CONCRETE WALL IN THE CENTER OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE HAS SERIOUS DAMAGE ON THE LEFT FRONT CORNER. AT LEAST I WALKED OUT WITH NO INJURIES. THE NEXT MORNING I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER AND I WAS TOLD TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALER. THE CAR IS IN CABRERA HNOS IN ARECIBO, PR. THE CAR ONLY HAS 13008 MILES BUT THE 3/36 EXPIRED IN MAY 2016. THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND CONFIRM THE LEFT BALL-JOINT IS BROKEN AND CAUSE ALL THE DAMAGE. THE MANAGER ALSO SAY AN FORD SPECIALIST SHOULD EVALUATE THE VEHICLE BEFORE DO ANY REPAIRS. I WANT TO REPORT THIS DUE IS NOT NORMAL A PART LIKE THIS BREAKS IN ANY VEHICLE. THE MANAGER IN THE DEALER [XXX] KNOWS ABOUT THE CAR AND TOLD ME TO CALL FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE TO REPORT THIS EVENT. I WAS TOLD THE PART IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND ALSO TO REPORT THE INCIDENT TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY. I HOPE HEAR FROM FORD. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE BALL JOINTS IN THE VEHICLE COLLAPSED. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A MEDIAN. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,008.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF FORD WILL HONOUR THIS RECALL FOR ME, HERE IN GERMANY. I AM NOT AN AMERICAN (I'M SCOTTISH) AND I AM NOT IN THE ARMED FORCES. TAKATA RECALL I WAS SENT A NOTICE OF RECALL IN JULY 2015 A SECOND ONE IN MAY 2016 AND STILL THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THE AIRBAG IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CAN DO FOR ME IN THIS CASE. I WENT TO SELL THE CAR BACK TO PALM BAY FORD AN THEY WOULD NOT BY IT BACK BECAUSE OF THE AIRBAG RECALL 9/10/2016.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE PUT IN NUMEROUS CALLS TO FORD TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH LONGER I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE AIRBAG TO BE REPLACE. FIRST THEY SAID BY JULY 2016. NOW THEY DON'T KNOW BECAUSE THERE JUST TO MANY TO REPLACE. SO AFTER WAITING OVER A YEAR FOR THIS AIRBAG, I DECIDED TO TRADE THE CAR IN FOR SOMETHING ELSE. WAS NOTIFIED THAT I CAN NOT MAKE A TRADE WITHOUT REPLACING THE AIRBAG. I CALL FORD AGAIN. THEY STATE THEY CANT REPLACE THE AIRBAG, THEY CANT GIVE ME A REPLACEMENT CAR AND THEY CANT TAKE BACK THE CAR.. SO AS A CONSUMER IM STUCK WITH A DANGEROUS VEHICLE WITH NO HELP FROM FORD. TAKATA RECALL WAS RECEIVED 5 MONTHS AGO FOR THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG INFLATOR HOUSING. I HAVE BEEN CALLING VARIOUS DEALERS IN MY AREA FOR OVER 5 MONTHS AND NOT ONE DEALER HAS THE PARTS TO REPLACE THE HOUSING. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO GET THIS RESOLVED????

APPROXIMATELY 150 MILES INTO A TRIP WHILE TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE IN 6TH GEAR AT 80 MPH I HAD TO SLOW FOR BREAK LIGHTS AHEAD. TRIED TO DOWNSHIFT INTO 5TH AND IMMEDIATELY THE TACH RED LINED AND THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ENGAGE. TRIED TO GO BACK TO 6TH AND SAME ISSUE. USED THE FOOT BRAKE TO SLOW TO A STOP AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IN 1ST THROUGH 4TH GEAR OR REVERSE. DROVE TO NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP IN 4TH GEAR FOR REPAIR. THE EXTERNAL DIAGNOSIS WAS FINE SO THE TECH WENT TO REMOVE THE TRANSMISSION. HE NOTICED THE VENT CAP MISSING OFF THE TRANSMISSION AND ONLY 1 QT OF FLUID LEFT. THERE WAS A BURNT SMELL AND METAL SHAVINGS IN THE ASSEMBLY. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED DUE TO CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. JUST 3 DAYS PRIOR TO THIS THE CAR HAD BEEN SERVICED AND THE TRANSMISSION, CAP, FLUID ALL CHECKED OUT WELL. THE TECH AT THE DEALERSHIP EXPLAINED THE PRESSURE INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION COULD CAUSE A MAJOR BURN-OFF OF THE FLUID IF THE CAP CAME OFF AS IT APPEARED. SO A SLOW LEAK WAS NOT THE CASE HERE. THE REMOVAL OF THE VENT CAP WAS THE ROOT CAUSE.
AIRBAG RECALL IS ISSUED ON MAY 27, 2015. I BOUGHT MY CAR FROM TORKIN GRESHAM DEALERSHIP ON 5TH OF AUGUST. THE RECALL SAYS: SAFETY RISK: AN INFLATOR RUPTURE COULD RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING AND POTENTIALLY SERIOUSLY INJURING VEHICLE OCCUPANTS. REMEDY: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE DRIVER AIRBAG INFLATOR WITH A NEW ONE, FREE OF CHARGE. RECALL STATUS: RECALL INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT I CAN EASLY GO TO A FORD SERVICE AND REPLACE THE AIRBAG FOR MY SAFETY, THEY ACCEPTED THAT THEY DID NOT TRY TO COMPLETE THE RECALL BEFORE PUTTING THE CAR ON THE MARKET. AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR, I CALLED A FORD SERVICE, AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE REMEDY IS NOT READY, THE REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE NOT PROVIDED BY FORD YET. DID I BUY AN UNSAFE CAR? IS IT DEALERSHIP'S OR FORD'S FAULT? I WANT TO REPLACE THE DANGEROUS PARTS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
I NOTICED RUST BUBBLES ON THE EDGE ON MY HOOD WHILE I WAS WAXING AND SEE THAT IT A ISSUE THAT FORD SHOULD BE FIXING. I ONLY HAVE 25000 MILES ON MY CAR.
THE STEREO PANEL GLASS IS DEFECTIVE BECAUSE IT CAN NOT HOLD UP TO SIMPLE CLEANING SOLUTIONS I.E. WINDEX TYPE GLASS CLEANERS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROADWAY BEFORE IT ERUPTED IN FLAMES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE AND FILED A FIRE REPORT. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,000.

TAKATA RECALL> I WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON JULY 4, 2016. A PERSON TOOK A STOP SIGN AS I WAS GOING 40MPH ON A STRAIGHTAWAY STREET. AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND FRONT DRIVER SIDE WAS SMASHED IN. OUR VEHICLE WENT IN FOR REPAIR AND IT IS NOW READY TO GO, BUT IT'S MISSING THE AIRBAGS. OBVIOUSLY THE AUTO COLLISION CENTER CANNOT RELEASE THE VEHICLE WITHOUT THE AIRBAGS. NOW THEY'VE INFORMED US THAT THERE IS A RECALL AND THERE IS NO ETA ON THE PRODUCTION. WE HAVE CONTACTED FORD AND MAY OTHER SUBSIDIARIES AND NO ONE IS ABLE TO GIVE US A DATE, NOT EVEN AN ESTIMATE OF WHEN OUR VEHICLE WILL BE READY. THIS IS SUCH AN INCONVENIENCE. WE HAVE TO GET AROUND IN ONE CAR AND IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR US. NEITHER OUR INSURANCE COMPANY, THE PERSON AT FAULTS INSURANCE COMPANY, THE BODY SHOP OR FORD CAN GET US IN A RENTAL. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I AM REACHING OUT TO YOU TODAY FOR HELP. WE NEED TO KNOW WHEN OUR VEHICLE WILL BE READY. TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE TO SEVERAL FORD DEALERSHIPS TO GET AN UPDATE ON THE AIRBAG RECALL. THE STORY REMAINS THE SAME. FORD DOES NOT HAVE A SOLUTION YET TO THE PROBLEM. I FIND THIS TO BE TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE GIVEN THE FACT THE THERE ARE OTHER MUSTANGS PRODUCED SINCE THIS CAR HAS BEEN MANUFACTURED THAT DO NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE. OTHER CAR MANUFACTURES (IE. HONDA/ACURA) HAVE BEEN ABLE TO OBTAIN REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THE AIRBAGS ARE ARE AGGRESSIVELY SEEKING OUT OWNERS TO HAVE THE BAGS REPLACED AND EVEN SUGGESTING THAT SOME CARS NOT BE DRIVEN UNTIL REPAIRED. I DO NOT FEEL THAT FORD IS DOING ENOUGH TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE QUICKLY.
NO ACCELERATION POSSIBLE. FUEL CUT OUT. PULLED OVER CAR SHOOK. TURNED OFF. BACK ON 15 MINUTES LATER. HAPPENED 5 MORE TIMES IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. DEALERSHIP SAID TGEY FIXED IT, BUT PROBLEM PERSISTS. SAME CODE: CHECK FUEL FILL INLET. CAR ONLY 3 YEARS OLD. WHAT A JOKE. NO MORE FORDS FOR ME AND THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS BEEN TERRIBLE!

WHEN I TOOK MY KEY OUT LAST NIGHT THE IGNITION SWITCH CAME OUT ALSO.
VEHICLE LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING, ENGINE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON, DRIVEABLE BUT ONLY IN "LIMP" MODE. AFTER RESTART, ENGINE APPEARED TO WORK FINE, HOWEVER, SAME ISSUE REOCCURRED SEVERAL MORE TIMES AND CONTINUES TO HAPPEN-SIMILAR TO OTHER FORD VEHICLE THROTTLE BODY RECALLS. MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AS COMPLETE VEHICLE SHUTDOWN OCCURS WITHOUT WARNING. NO RECALL YET.

I ALSO CALLED THE FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTLINE AND THEY WILL NOT MAKE ANY STATEMENT IN TERMS OF SAFETY OTHER THAN THAT SOMEONE FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY SAID IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE.

I WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT GEARS WHILE DRIVING AND THE SERVICE DEPT ADVISED I HAD BAD SYNCHROS AND WAS FIXED UNDER WARRANTY. FAST FORWARD A COUPLE OF MONTHS AND HAD DIFFICULTY SWITCHING GEARS FROM 1ST TO 2ND HAD REALLY BAD GRINDING AND WOULD TAKE A COUPLE OF TIMES TO SHIFT. THEN, WHEN STARTING MY CAR FROM MY HOUSE, I WAS UNABLE TO GET THE GEAR INTO REVERSE WHILE THE CAR WAS ON. IT JUST WOULDN'T GO IN TO GEAR... NOT ANY GEAR IN FACT. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND PUT IT INTO REVERSE AND THEN TURN THE CAR ON. WHILE THE CLUTCH WAS FULLY PRESSED DOWN THE CAR STARTED MOVING BACKWARDS WHEN I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE BREAK. (THE CAR WAS LEVEL AND THAT NEVER HAPPENS). THEN AFTER BACKING UP I COULDN'T GET IT OUT OF REVERSE. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND PUT IT IN 1ST AND THEN START THE CAR. THE SAME THING - IT MOVED WITH THE CLUTCH IN AND COULDN'T GET IT OUT OF GEAR. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT. AFTER THE TOW, FOR WHATEVER REASON, THEY WERE ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR WITHOUT ISSUE. I'M NOT USED TO DRIVING A CAR WITH SUCH TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS THAT CAN'T BE DIAGNOSED.

SEVERAL OTHER MANUFACTURES HAVE ALREADY FIXED THE RECALLED CARS, YET FORD HAS NOT. PLEASE WORK MORE CLOSELY WITH FORD TO OBTAIN THE NECESSARY PARTS. IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO HAVE A CAR AND NOT BE ABLE TO SAFELY OPERATE IT.

TAKATA RECALL- I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON THE FREEWAY ONE DAY AND AS I ACCELERATED ON THE GAS GOING OVER 60MPH MY HOOD BEGAN TO SHAKE. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PRIOR PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR AND THIS STARTED DOING THIS OUT OF THE BLUE. I PULLED OVER TO MAKE SURE ALL THE SCREWS WERE INTACT AND MADE SURE EVERYTHING UNDERNEATH MY CAR WAS INTACT AS WELL. I DID NOT FIND ANY PROBLEMS. MY HOOD SHAKES ANYTIME I GO OVER 60MPH, AND THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR 4 MONTHS NOW. I TOOK MY CAR INTO A BODY SHOP AND THEY TEST DROVE AND WAS UNSURE OF THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM IS. THE LAST I HEARD FALL 2016 NOW IT'S WINTER. I LIVE I TEXAS WITH HIGH HUMIDITY SO I AM VERY ANXIOUS TO GET THESE REPLACED. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE.

TAKATA RECALL. WE BOUGHT OUR 2013 MUSTANG FROM MITCHEL SELIG FORD IN WINDSOR CT ON DEC. 3, 2015 WITH THE RECALL ON THE AIR BAGS OUTSTANDING AND WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO BE FIXED AND ONLY PUT ABOUT 250 MILES ON THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE DANGER OF FAULTY AIRBAGS, AND HERE IT IS ALMOST OCT. 2016.
TAKATA RECALL- BOUGHT THE CAR FROM MITCHEL SELIG FORD IN WINDSOR CT. ON DEC. 3, 2015 WITH THE OPEN RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS. THE RECALL STILL HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN CARE OF AND THE CAR MAY BE DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WITH THE OPEN RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL, I CANNOT DRIVE MY 2 YEAR OLD CAR FOR FEAR THAT THE AIRBAGS WILL EXPLODE, WHAT IS MY RESOLUTION??? FORD HAS NO IDEA HOW MUCH LONGER AND IT'S ALREADY BEEN 12 MONTHS!
EVERY MORNING WHEN I TURN ON MY CAR IN COLD WEATHER I GET THE ERROR MESSAGE "POWER ASSEMBLY FAULT" AND AN INDICATOR THAT TRACTION CONTROL IS SHUT OFF. WHEN THIS HAPPENS I NO LONGER HAVE POWER STEERING OR TRACTION CONTROL. THIS CLEARS UP ONCE I WARM UP THE ENGINE AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND ON. IT HAPPENS EVERY MORNING NOW THAT WE ARE IN COLDER WEATHER AND CLEARS UP ONCE I HEAT UP THE CAR SO IT SEEMS THAT THESE ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS BECOME FAULTY AT 30-40 DEGREE FAHRENHEIT WEATHER.
