MY REAR BRAKE SYSTEM KEEPS COMING APART. THIS FIRST HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING AT 55 M.P.H. AND I HAD TO BRAKE SUDDENLY. I HAD TO DRIVE AROUND VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME TO AVOUD A CRASH, I HAD A MECHANIC PUT THEM BACK TOGETHER BUT THE PROBLEM KEEPS PERSISTING EVEN THOUGH I HAVE HAD THE BRAKE SYSTEM COMPLETELY REDONE. THE PROBLEM WITH MY CRUISE CONTROL IS THAT WHEN I USE IT AND SET IT THE CAR WILL GO THAT SPEED AND AFTER A WHILE WILL INCREASE THE SPEED ON IT'S OWN.I HAVE ALMOST GOTTEN A TICKET BECAUSE OF THIS AND SINCE EVERYTIME I USE IT THIS HAPPENS I HAVE STOPPED USING THE CRUISE CONTROL.*AK
ABS WILL APPLY BY THEMSELVES. BRAKE PEDAL WILL HAVE FULL HYDRAULIC PRESSURE WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN BRAKING MOTION. PUSHING REAL HARD WILL RELEASE THE PRESSURE. PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT. DEALER HAS TRIED TO FIND THE PROBLEM, BUT CAN'T REMDY ONE.*AK
WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45MPH WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON. STARTED TO SLOW DOWN BY APPLYING BRAKES. VEHICLE FAILED TO SLOW DOWN. TAPPED BRAKES HARDER & NOTHING HAPPENED. REAPPLIED BRAKES & VEHICLE PROCEEDED TO SPEED UP. SHIFTED INTO LOWER GEAR & VEHICLE WAS SLOWED DOWN & APPLIED THE BRAKES TO STOP VEHICLE. *AK
WHILE STARTING VEHICLE WHITE SMOKE WAS COMING OUT OF TAILPIPE. HEARD POPPING NOISE, ALSO WATER AND ANTIFREEZE WAS COMING FROM TAILPIPE. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND DEALER INDICATED ENGINE HEAD GASKETS WERE BLOWN.*AK BLOWER FAN BLADE HAD TO BE REPLACED. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE STARTER HAD TO BE REPLACED. CUSTOMER STATES TEMPERATURE GAUGE GOES UP, LOW ON WATER AND LOOSING COOLANT. DEALER REPLACED RADIATOR, WATER PUMP AND SERPENTINE BELT. BRAKES ARE GRINDING. DEALER REPLACED FRONT BRAKES HAD TURNED ROTORS. ON ONE OCCASION, THE THROTTLE POSITIONING SENSOR HAD TO BE REPLACED. *TT
WHILE DRIVING AND APPLYING THE BRAKES, ABOUT 90% OF THE BRAKING POWER WAS LOST. UPON THE CHECKING THE VEHICLE, A VALVE ON THE BRAKE VACUUM HOSE WAS CRACKED. OWNER WAS ABLE TO REPLACE THE VALVE. THE DEALER IS NOT AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. *AK
TRANSAXLE WILL NOT ENGAGE AFTER COMING TO A STOP. L/F BRAKE PAD STAYS PARTIALLY ENGAGED RESULTING IN PREMATURE WEARING OF SAID PAD; LUCKILY, I WAS COMING TO A SLOW STOP WHEN IT GAVE OUT COMPLETELY. THIS PROBLEM WAS NOT ANALYZED UNTIL MY SECOND FRONT BRAKE JOB WITHIN 25 0R SO MONTHS. WITH WIPERS IN USE, ACTIVATING THE TURN SIGNAL IN EITHER DIRECTION CAUSES THE WIPERS TO STOP.THIS TENDS TO BRING ON A SLIGHT SENSE OF PANIC DURING A HEAVY RAIN. LIGHTS GO OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THIS SWITCH HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE AT MY EXPENSEAS HAVE ALL OTHER BEFORE MENTIONED PROBLEMS EXCEPT THE WIPER ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN UNEMPLOYED FOR 4 MONTHS AND CAN'T AFFORD FIXING THIS INCONVENIENCE. *AK

THE BRAKE POWER ASSIST IS INOPERATIVE. THERE IS A PLASTIC FITTING THAT CONNECTS 3 PIECES OF RUBBER TUBING & THESE RUBBER TUBINGS CONNECT ENGINE VACCUUM TO THE POWER BRAKES. THE PLASTIC FITTING BREAKS IN COLD WHEATHER BECAUSE OF THE VIBRATION OF THE ENGINE AND CAR BODY. *AK
ABS BRAKE FAILURE, WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED, THEY PULSATE AND CAUSE VIBRATION AFTER DRIVING FOR A PERIOD OF TIME, *AK
FAILURE ON THE BRAKE ROTORS, PADS, AND CALIPERS, THE BRAKE PADS, ROTORS AND CALIPERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED TOO OFTEN. *AK

BRAKES OVERHEAT AND SMELL LIKE BURNING AND PEDAL BECOMES VERY HARD, CONSUMER STATES THIS IS REFERRED TO AS PHANTOM VACUUM OBSTRUCTION, BRAKES STILL WORK, HOWEVER VEHICLE WILL ONLY ACCELERATE UP TO ABOUT 45 MPH. *SLC
