MOTOR MOUNTS FELL OUT, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO JUMP AND DAMAGE THE ROD/RADIATOR AND CV BOOT. DEALER HAS NOT SEEN VEHICLE. *AK
CONSUMER STATES WHILE USING THE WINDSHEILD WIPER THE WIPER'S WOULD WORK INTERMITTENT . DEALER HAS BEEEN CONTACTED. MJS
WINDSHIELD WIPERS OPERATED ERRATICALLY. HIGH SPEED QUIT FIRST. OTHER SPEEDS WORKED FOR AWHILE THEN THEY WORKED FOR ONLY A FEW MINUTES. CONSUMER HAD TO KEEP CHANGING THE SPEED TO KEEP THEM WORKING. SOON THEY STOPPED WORKING ALTOGETHER, AND DRIVER HAD TO KEEP PUSHING IN THE WIPER WASHER BUTTON TO KEEP THE WIPERS OPERATING. *AK
ENGINE HEAD GASKETS WORE OUT, CAUSING LEAKS INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, AND WEAR ON THE ENGINE. ENGINE HAS BEEN REPLACED ONCE BEFORE BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK

THE ODOR ALSO APPEARS WHEN THE CAR IS FIRST STARTED AND WHEN IT SITS AWHILE. *AK
WHEN DRIVING AND EITHER MAKING A LEFT OR RIGHT HAND TURN CONSUMER HEARD A NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF VEHICLE, CAUSING POOR STEERING CONTROL. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED DEALER. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. BUT SECONDS PRIOR TO DRIVER'S AIRBAG DEPLOYING, 2 PLASTIC PIECES CAME OFF THE DASH WHICH WAS LOCATED RIGHT NEXT TO AIRBAG IN I-SHAPE, HITTING DRIVER IN THE FACE AND BREAKING NOSE. ALSO PASSENGER'S AIRBAG DEPLOYED, CAUSING INJURIES TO PASSENGER WITH PERMANENT DAMAGE TO LUNGS DUE TO CHEMICALS IN AIRBAG. *AK
MOTOR MOUNTS RUSTED. A RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED; HOWEVER, THE COVERAGE PERIOD HAS BEEN EXCEEDED. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
AFTER STARTING VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. APPLIED BRAKES AND EMGERNCY PARKING BRAKE, WHICH DID STOP VEHICLE . BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. TO GAIN CONTROL OF VEHICLE CONSUMER TURNED IT OFF. DEALER REPLACED POWER BOOSTER WHICH DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
PURCHASED 2 TIRES 5-27-00. ABOUT 1 MONTH LATER THE TREAD CAME OFF OF THE LEFT FRONT. ON 8-17-00 SECOND TIRE BLEW OUT THE SIDEWALL WHEN IT HIT A 4 INCH POTHOLE. TIRE WAS WORN ABOUT 20% AFTER 4800 MILES DRIVEN ON IT. STORE WHERE THEY WERE PURCHASED, REPLACED BOTH TIRES. JUST WANTED TO SEND INFO TO BE LOOKED INTO.( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: 70SR 15WW )
THIS VEHICLE STALLS WHEN STOPPED AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. IT ALSO HESITATES WHEN BEING DRIVEN. I AM REPORTING THESE COMPLAINTS BECAUSE I UNDERSTAND OTHER OWNERS HAVE HAD THESE PROBLEMS AND THAT A RECALL IS UNDER CONSIDERATION. THANK YOU. *AK

LOCAL TIRE DEALER HAS STATED THAT THIS MODEL OF TIRE (LTE 3000) HAS PROBLEM WITH SEPARATION OF LAYERS IN SIDEWALL.( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: P205/65R15 )
WHILE DRIVING DOWN ROAD, REGRADLESS OF WHAT SPEED, VEHICLE JUST DIES WITHOUT ANY TYPE OF WARNING. SOMETIMES VEHICLE WILL START AGAIN AFTER A FEW MINUTES. SOMETIMES VEHICLE HAS TO BE TOWED. *AK THE VEHICLE STALLS NUMEROUS TIMES AND REPLACING THE DISTRIBUTOR AS POSSIBLE CAUSE DID NOT GET RED OF THE PROBLEM. *YH

IGNITION SWITCH SPINS FREELY AND THE KEY WILL NOT GO INTO IGNITION EASILY, WHEN THE KEY FINALLY FITS THE CAR WILL NOT START, VEHICLE STALLING HAS BEEN OCCURRING. *MJS
CONSUMER HAD AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE RECALL REPAIR 98V-323 OF THE REAR LOWER SUBFRAME MOUNT PLATE NUT BUT WHEN HE ARRIVED HE WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE NO MORE PARTS AVAILABLE AND THAT PARTS ARE INSTALLED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. NLM
WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED WOULD MAKE GRINDING NOISES, LIKE METAL AGAINST METAL. ROTORS WERE VERY BAD. HAD DEEP GROOVES IN THEM. CORDS WERE COMING COMPLETELY THROUGH & OUT OF TIRES. ALSO, BALL BEARS ARE WEARING OUT.

ENGINE COOLING FAN CIRCUIT IS BAD, CAUSING VEHICLE TO OVERHEAT AND HEAD GASKET TO BLOWOUT. A RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED ON VEHICLE MAKE AND MODEL; HOWEVER, THIS VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED DUE TO VIN. *AK

REAR SUBFRAME HAS CORRODED. DEAELR CLAIMED RECALL 98V323000 REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED IN MARCH 1999, BUT DEFECT STILL EXISTS. *AK
WOULD BE DRIVING VEHICLE WHEN TRANSMISSION WOULD SLIP OUT OF GEAR WHEN GOING OVER 65MPH. VEHICLE WOULD ALSO JERK AND STALL OUT. TOOK TO MECHANIC, AND A BROKEN TIE ROD WAS FOUND.*AK CONSUMER STATES THAT FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS WHILE DRIVING FROM 30-65 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS OUT OF GEAR. *SLC

DURING INSPECTION OF VEHICLE MECHANIC NOTICED SUBFRAME WAS CORRODED TO POINT WHERE MOTOR WAS READY TO DROP. THERE IS RECALL 98V323000, BUT THIS VEHICLE NOT AFFECTED DUE TO VIN. *AK

CAR STALLS WITHOUT WARNING. I NOTICED THE PROBLEM WAS PUBLISHED STATING THE IGNITION SYSTEM WAS FAULTY.
CONSUEMR STATES THAT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE REAR SUBFRAME HAS SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE AND THE LEFT REAR HAS STARTED TO SEPARATE. THE VEHICLE HAS ALREDAY BEEN REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIOANL INFORMATION. NLM

ENGINE WOULD CRANK OVER BUT NOT START---VEHICLE STALLS AT TIMES WHEN COMING TO A STOP
I OWN TWO TAURUS STATION WAGONS, THIS ONE AND A 1990 MODEL, BOTH PURCHASED USED. BOTH HAVE HAD TWO PROBLEMS IN COMMON. THE PARKING BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ON BOTH CARS HAS FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. ON THE 1992 MODEL, THIS LED TO A LEAKING REAR WHEEL HYDRAULIC BRAKE CYLINDER DUE TO OVERHEATING. ON THE 1990 MODEL, I ONCE DROVE 2 HOURS ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY WITH THE PARKING BRAKE ON. THIS LATER CAUSED THE REAR RIGHT SPINDLE TO BEND, PUTTING THE TIRE SEVERELY OUT OF ALIGNMENT. THE HEAT HAD ESSENTIALLY ANNEALED AND SOFTENED THE SPINDLE. NO MECHANIC I HAVE TALKED TO HAD SEEN THIS BEFORE. THE OTHER PROBLEM IS THE SEAT BELT BUCKLES. BOTH BECAME UNRELIABLE AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. SIMILAR MODEL CARS AT THE JUNKYARD ALSO HAD BROKEN BUCKLES. BOTH AT TIMES APPEARED TO BE BUCKLED, THEN LATER SLID OPEN. MR
SEAT BELT CLIP NOT WORKING. FORD COMPANY SAID THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING IT IF YOUR CAR IS OVER 50,000 MILES AND I HAVE OVER 120,000 MILES ON MY CAR. PH
THE CONSUMER EXPRESSED HIS CONCERN OF WHAT HE/SHE FEELS TO BE UNFAIR/DISHONEST TREATMENT GIVEN BY FORD. PER INVOICE, THERE WAS AN ISSUE OR CONCERN ABOUT THE IGNITION COIL(S). THE CONSUMER REQUEST MONEY BACK. MR SCC *JB
