1995 TAURUS FIRE STARTED UNDER THE HOOD. *TS THE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE WHEN BLACK SMOKE STARTED EMITTING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONSUMER MANAGED TO PULL OVER BEFORE THE VEHICLE BECAME TOTALLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE CONSUMER SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND FOUND OUT THAT HER VEHICLE HAD BEEN RECALLED FOR A FAULTY COOLING FAN WHICH COULD RESULT IN A FIRE. THE CONSUMER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT HER VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CONSUMER WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE TO SEE IF THE FIRE WAS CAUSED BY THE COOLING FAN. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE BECAUSE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS SO BADLY DAMAGED THEREFORE THEY PROVIDED THE CONSUMER WITH NO ASSISTANCE. *NM
I AM THE OWNER OF A 1995 FORD TAURUS WITH AROUND 64000 MILES. I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON THE DATE OF 11/27/05 WHEN BLACK SMOKE STARTED COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD, I WAS ONE LIGHT FROM THE WESTBROOK FIRE DEPARTMENT SO MANAGED TO GET TO THE FIREHOUSE AND OFF THE ROAD TO PREVENT ANY OTHER DAMAGE TO OTHERS AROUND ME. I ENDED UP LOSING MY BRAKES FROM THE FIRE AND EVERY WIRE AND ANYTHING PLASTIC UNDER THE HOOD HAD BEEN DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE IS A TOTAL LOSE. IT SEEMS THE FIRE HAD BEEN CAUSED BY AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AND STARTED TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. I CHECKED ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THAT FORD HAD ISSUED A RECALL FOR A PROBLEM WITH THE COOLING FAN CAUSING AN UNDER-HOOD FIRE. I CONTACTED FORD ON 11/28/05 TO VERIFY IF MY VEHICLE WAS AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL AND WAS TOLD YES, BUT I HAD NEVER BEEN NOTIFIED. AFTER THIS I WAS TOLD BY FORD THAT I WOULD BE CONTACTED IN SEVERAL WORKING DAYS WITH FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. I WAS CONTACTED BY FORD ON 12/13/05 AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO UNTIL A FORD DEALER CHECKED THE CAR TO SEE IF THE FIRE WAS CAUSED BY THE COOLING FAN. ON THE DATE OF 12/14/05 I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO HAMMONASSET FORD LINCOLN IN MADISON CT TO LOOK AT THE VEHICLE. THEY LOOKED AT THE VEHICLE AND SAID THERE WAS SO MUCH DAMAGE UNDER THE HOOD, THAT EVERY WIRE HAD MELTED THEY COULD NOT TELL EXACTLY WHERE THE FIRE STARTED. I HAD THE CAR TOWED BACK HOME AND ON 12/20/05 I WAS CONTACTED BY FORD VIA U.S. MAIL AND WAS TOLD DUE TO THE EXTENSIVE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE THEY WERE UNABLE TO VERIFY A MANUFACTURER''S DEFECT THAT THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS UNABLE TO OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE AT THIS TIME. EVERY WIRE UNDER THE HOOD IS STRIPPED OF ITS PLASTIC COATING. AND THE PAINT ON THE HOOD IS BURNED OFF RIGHT OVER THE FAN. THIS SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED TO A CAR WITH ONLY 64000 MILES . *JB
PASSENGER REAR COIL SPRING BROKE PRIOR TO PURCHASE IN 2002 @ APPROX 61,185 MILES, DRIVER REAR COIL SPRING BROKE @ APPROX 88,000 MILES. REPAIR SHOP SENT ME TO FORD AS THERE HAS BEEN RECALLS ON SPRINGS. FORD DEALER SAID NO OPEN RECALLS FOR THIS CAR, FAILED TO MENTION THE GOV'T INVESTIGATION. NO CONSEQUENCES YET - TIME WILL TELL. WILL REPAIR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BUT DIFFICULT W/O JOB. OLD PARTS ARE AVAILABLE - IF FORD WANTS THEM THEY CAN HAVE THEM AS SOON AS THEY REPLACE & REPAIR AT NO CHARGE. SPRINGS SHOULDN'T BREAK PRIOR TO 61,185 - WHY ISN'T FORD TAKING THE LEAD ON THIS?? *NM
HAD BEEN DRIVING AUTO AND WHEN ENTERING PARKING AREA I HEARD A LOAD BANG AND THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE STARTED TO WOBBLE. I STOPPED, GOT OUT AND LOOKED AT THE FRONT OF THE CAR. THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE WAS FLAT AND UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, I FOUND THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT SPRING HAD BROKEN AND PUNCTURED THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE. AT THIS TIME, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO REPAIR DAMAGE OTHER THAN PUTTING ON TEMPORARY SPARE TIRE TO PARK THE VEHICLE. *NM
DT: THE CONTACT STATES THERE IS NHTSA RECALL NHTSA 98V323000 CONCERNING THE STRUCTURE FRAME AND MEMBERS. THIS VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS INDICATED IN THE RECALL, BUT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO THE VIN. THE CONTACT REPAIRED THE VEHICLE AT HIS OWN EXPENSE. THERE HAVE BEEN NO FURTHER PROBLEMS SINCE THE REPAIRS. *AK UPDATED 11/16/2005 - *NM
FAILURE OF CRUISE CONTROL DISCONNECT SWITCH UNDER THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER - LIKE THE FAILURE CURRENTLY UNDER RECALL FOR FORD TRUCKS. I WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK DUE TO THE INTERLOCK. THE FUSE THAT CONTROLLED THE CRUISE CONTROL AND BRAKES BLEW. WHEN THE CAR WAS DIAGNOSED BY THE REPAIR FACILITY, THEY FOUND THAT THE DISCONNECT SWITCH AND THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR HAD MELTED TO SOME POINT. THE PART HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE FORD PART USED TO REPAIR WAS XW7Z-9F924-BA. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS PART IS A NEW DESIGN, OR THE OLD DESIGN. *NM
1995 FORD TAURAS AND THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE DISCOLORED SO BADLY THAT IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE AT NIGHT. I HAVE TRIED ALL TYPES OF PLASTIC CLEANERS AND NOTHING WORKS. THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE IS TO REPLACE THE LENS WITH NEW. I CALLED FORD AND THEY HAVE NO RECALL FOR THIS HAZARDOUS CONDITION. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED OTHER TAURAS' ON THE ROAD WITH THE SAME CONDITION.
STUCK IN TRAFFIC ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS HIT AND THE FRONT END DROPPED. PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND SAW THAT THE FRONT LEFT SPRING HAD BROKEN AND DROPPED THE FRONT END. WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF AT EXIT. BY THIS TIME, BROKEN SPRING HAD SEVERED THE FRONT TIRE WHICH BLEW OUT. HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED HOME - MY EXPENSE. AT REPAIR SHOP, DEALER FOUND THAT BOTH FRONT SPRINGS WERE BROKEN HOWEVER THE RIGHT FRONT HAD BEEN BROKEN FOR SOME TIME WITHOUT ANYONE'S KNOWLEDGE. HAD TO REPLACE SPRINGS, STRUTS AND SHOCKS, NEW TIRE, FRONT END ALIGNMENT, STABILIZER BAR CONTROL, BRAKE HOSE AND AXLE SHAFT ASSEMBLY WHICH WERE ALL DAMAGED AS A RESULT OF THE SPRING BREAKING. LUCKILY WE WERE STOPPED IN TRAFFIC AND NOT CRUISING AT 65 MPH WHEN THIS HAPPENED OR THIS COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. *NM
DT: CONTACT STATES THE LEFT FRONT SUB FRAME BOLT BROKE IN HALF, LEAVING THE SUB FRAME DOWN ABOUT FOUR INCHES. THE SERVICE DEALER SAID IT WOULD BE VERY DIFFICULT AND TIME CONSUMING TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. A RECALL ISSUED ON THE REAR SUB FRAME BOLT.*AK
DT: THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995, FORD TAURUS. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING PROPERLY. CONTACT COULD NOT TELL HOW FAST HE WAS GOING BECAUSE THE SPEEDOMETER WAS NOT WORKING. WHEN GETTING OFF AT THE EXIT THE VEHICLE WAS BEGINNING TO SLOW DOWN. HE THOUGHT THE CAR WAS OVERHEATING. WHILE TRYING TO GET OFF OF THE ROAD SAW SMOKE APPEARING FROM THE RIGHT TIRE ON THE FRONT. SOMEONE CAME UP TO HIM AND HE TURNED THE CAR OFF AND JUMPED OUT OF THE CAR HE LOOKED UNDER THE CAR AND SAW FIRE COMING FROM THE GAS TANK. THE AIR INTAKE AND BATTERY MELTED. ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS STILL WORKED BECAUSE IT DID NOT GET INTO THE FIRE WALL. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD ENOUGH TIME TO SALVAGE MOST OF THE VEHICLE. IT WAS UNKNOWN WHERE THE FIRE STARTED. THE DOME LIGHT WOULD NOT GO OFF THE VEHICLE. ALSO, THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LIGHT WOULD NOT GO OFF. WHEN CONTACT NOTICED THESE LIGHTS WERE ON HE TOOK THE FUSE OUT THAT CONTROLS THESE LIGHTS BUT SINCE HE WAS GOING ON A LONG DRIVE . BACK HOME HE PUT THE FUSE BACK IN TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO. THEN WHILE DRIVING HOME THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE. *AK
DT: CONSUMER COULD NOT MOVE TRANSMISSION OUT OF PARK WITHOUT TURNING THE IGNITION SWITCH TO ON. ALSO, BRAKE LIGHTS WERE NOT COMING ON. *AK
WAS DRIVING VEHICLE WHEN I EXPERIENCED AX EXTREME OVERHEATING CONDITION. OVER COURSE OF LESS THAN 2 MINUTES TIME MY VEHICLES TEMPERATURE GUAGUE PROGRESSED FROM THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE NORMAL RANGE ALL THE WAY UP PAST THE RED ZONE ABOVE NORMAL. AT TIME OF OCCURENCE IT WAS A COLD DAY OUTSIDE AND I WAS LESS THEN 5 MILES FROM MY HOUSE HAVING DRIVEN VEHICLE LESS THAN 10 MINUTES SO I WAS FAIRLY CERTAIN EXTERNAL FACTORS COULD NOT HAVE EXPLAINED THIS DEGREE OF RAPID ENGINE OVERHEATING. THIS OVERHEATING WAS ACCOMPANIED BY EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF THICK WHITE BILLOWING SMOKE EXITING FROM MY EXHAUST PIPE (SEVERE TO THE POINT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE OUT MY REARVIEW MIRROR. UPON GETTING THE CAR BACK TO MY HOUSE AND ALLOWING IT TO COOL OFF I INSPECTED THE RADIATOR AND FOUND IT TOTALLY VOID OF COOLANT AND PRECEEDED TO REFILL IT WITH OVER 6 LITERS OF REPLACEMENT FLUID. UPON INSPECTING THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ENGINE I WAS ABLE TO ASCERTAIN THAT NO COOLANT HAD LEAKED FROM MY VEHICLE AND FINALLY UPON INSPECTING THE OIL WITHIN THE VEHICLE I NOTED THE ENGINE OIL WAS CONTAMINATED WITH COOLANT/WATER RESULTING IN A THICK WHITISH MILKY APPEARANCE. UPON CONSULTING A MECHANIC AND HAVE SOMEONE COME TO MY HOUSE TO LOOK AT THE CAR IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE HEAD GASKET FAILED. AT THIS TIME I AM UNCERTAIN AS TO THE EXTENT OF DAMAGE TO THE CORE ENGINE ITSELF.
SPEEDOMETER WORKS UP TO SPEEDS OF 45. ANYTHING ABOVE THAT THE SPEEDOMETER NEEDLE JUMPS AROUND AND MAKES A CONSTANT CLICKING NOISE. I RECEIVED A SPEEDING TICKET FOR THIS. LOOKED ONLINE FOR DIAGNOSIS AND FOUND THAT EVERYONE HAS THIS PROBLEM. *JB
IT WAS DISCOVERED IN 2005 THAT BOTH FRONT COIL SPRINGS WERE BROKEN NEAR THE BOTTOM ON MY 1995 FORD TAURUS. A PORTION OF THE COIL SLIPPED PAST THE BOTTOM SUPPORT OF THE STRUT LEAVING THE SHARP BROKEN EDGE ABOUT 1/4 INCH FROM THE TIRE. IT IS ESPECIALLY WORRISOME ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHERE THIS SHARP EDGE WILL PROBABLY PUNCTURE THE TIRE IF THE COIL SPRING SLIPS FURTHER, PAST THE BOTTOM SUPPORT OF THE STRUT. THIS WOULD IMMEDIATELY STOP THE ROTATION OF THE TIRE. AS AN IMPROVEMENT TO THE SITUATION, THE PORTION OF THE BROKEN COIL SPRING NEAR THE TIRE WAS GROUND DOWN GIVING IT ABOUT 1/2 INCH CLEARANCE FROM THE TIRE. THE COIL SPRINGS HAVE NOT YET BEEN REPLACED, BUT REPLACEMENT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CAR HAD ABOUT 125,000 MILES ON IT WHEN THE DEFECT WAS DISCOVERED. THE CAR WAS DRIVEN ON ASPHALT AND CONCRETE ROADS IN AVERAGE CONDITION. COIL SPRINGS SHOULD NOT FAIL IF A CAR IS DRIVEN USING NORMAL CARE. IT WAS DISCOVERED IN 2010 THAT THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR COIL SPRING WAS BROKEN NEAR THE TOP. *TR
DT: THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE, AND THE OWNER BARELY ESCAPED. FOUND OUT LATER THAT CAR WAS UNDER A RECALL, AND HAD BEEN REPAIRED FROM PREVIOUS OWNER. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AS ADVISED BY FORD. DEALERSHIP DETERMINED THE CAUSE OF FIRE TO BE THE RECALLED PART. BUT, FORD REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGES. THE RECALL PART INVOLVED COOLING SYSTEM CIRCUIT BREAKER. WHILE DRIVING OWNER SAW A PUFF OF BLACK SMOKE COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. AS THE OWNER EXITED THE CAR, A FEW SECONDS LATER, THERE WERE FLAMES COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. LOCAL FIRE DEPTMENT CAME, AND CONDUCTED THEIR OWN INVESTIGATION WHICH DETERMINED THE SAME LOCATION OF THE FIRE. CONSUMER HAS BEEN IN CONTACT WITH FORD SEVERAL TIMES. CONSUMER WANTED CAR TO BE FIXED. *AK

WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS HAVING THE OIL CHANGED IN HIS 1995 FORD TAURUS THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THAT THE EPOXY COATING COVERING THE ENGINE OIL PAN FAILED AND CAME OFF. AS A RESULT THE PAN WAS SEVERELY RUSTED. *NM WHILE DRIVING THE SPEEDMETER NEEDLE SUDDENLY MOVED BACK AND FORTH VERY FAST*NM
FORD TAURUS 1995, BROKEN FRONT COIL SPRING. *BF THE CONSUMER LEARNED OF A RECALL RECALL, HOWEVER HE WAS TOLD THE RECALL DID NOT APPLY TO HIS YEAR VEHICLE, EVEN THOUGH HE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE. *JB
WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE DRIVER HEARD A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT. SUDDENLY, THE FRONT LEFT SIDE COLLAPSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE DRIVER THAT THE LEFT FRONT STRUT AND COIL SPRING WERE BROKEN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *NM
MY 1995 FORD TAURUS GL HAS WENT THROUGH 3 TRANSMISSIONS IN THE PAST 6 YEARS. THIS TIME THE TRANSMISSION CAN NOT BE REBUILT. I AM TIRED OF SPENDING MONEY TO KEEP THIS CAR RUNNING WHEN THE ONLY PIECE THAT KEEPS GOING OUT IS THE DREADED AX4N TRANSMISSION USED IN THIS VEHICLE. IS THERE NOT ANOTHER TRANSMISSION THAT WILL WORK IN THIS CAR?
BALL BEARINGS IN ENGINE FAN MOTOR, IDLER PULLEY, AND BELT TENSIONER ALL CEASE, OR SHRED INTO METAL BITS. ENGINE FAN FAILS, CAUSING OVERHEATING, PULLEY AND TENSIONER FAIL AND FALL OFF THE CAR, CAUSING LOSS OF ELECTRICITY, POWER STEERING AND WATER PUMP, CAUSING MORE OVERHEATING, PLUS A LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE STEERING OF THE CAR. *JB
WHILE DRIVING AIR BAG DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON. CONSUMER CONTACTED FORD, WHO WILL WILL NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE. *AK.....*AK
HEADLIGHTS COVERS ARE MADE OF INFERIOR MATERIALS AND ARE EASILY SUN-DAMAGED, CAUSING REDUCED NIGHTTIME VISIBILITY AND FREQUENT NEAR-ACCIDENT SITUATIONS. *JB
1995 TAURUS WAS RECALLED FOR THE SUBFRAME MOUNT, 98S36. RECALL WORK DONE JUNE 24, 1999. SUBFRAME MOUNT FAILED DUE TO RUST ON DECEMBER 15, 2004. CAR PARKED AND IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. CONTACTED LOCAL FORD DEALER ON JANUARY 3, 2005 AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING. *NM
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED SPEEDOMETER FLUCUATED BACK AND FORTH. *AK
THE VEHICLE HAD A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD. THE DOORS WOULD NOT LOCK AUTOMATICALLY AS THEY SHOULD. *TC THE WINDSHIELD WIPER FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. THE DOME LIGHT FAILED. THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE. *NM
1995 FORD TAURUS. BOTH REAR SPRINGS BROKEN. ACCORDING TO DEALER POTENTIAL DANGEROUS CONDITION. TIRE DEALER ENCOUNYERED MANY SIMILAR FAILURES. WILL NO LONGER USE FORD REPLACEMENT SPRINGS STILL NO RECALL BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY!
THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START. CONSUMER HAD THE COMPUTER/ COIL, AND DISTRIBUTOR REPLACED. ALSO, ENGINE HEAD GASKETS WERE REPLACED THREE TIMES.*AK
CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER . TOOK THE VEHICLE TO DEALER FOR REPAIRS. HOWEVER, CONSUMER FELT THAT REPAIRS WERE DONE. CONTACTED FORD CORPORATION. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM RECURRED. *AK
AFTER FILLING THE VEHICLE WITH FUEL, VEHICLE WAS PARKED, CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE FUEL SPILLED ALL OVER THE DRIVEWAY. TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, WHO DISCOVERED THAT FUEL TANK HAD A VERY BIG CRACK IN IT. THERE ARE RECALLS ON THE FUEL TANK, RECALL 97V144000 AND 97V145000 WERE ISSUED ON THIS PROBLEM. *AK
BRAKES ALWAYS FELT WEAK SINCE PURCHASE OF CAR IN JULY 2004, CAR COLLIDED AT LOW SPEED WITH A CAR IN FRONT OF IT WHEN BRAKE PEDAL WAS PRESSED TO THE FLOOR, AS THE DRIVER IN FRONT OF MY CAR WAS NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO TRAFFIC AND WAS DRIVING A VAN THAT COULD NOT BE SEEN AROUND, AND PROCEEDED TO LOCK HIS BRAKES TO AVOID REAR-ENDING THE CAR IN FRONT OF HIM. FAULTY ANTI-SKID VALVE CAUSED BACK WHEEL BRAKES TO BE INOPERABLE, ALLOWING NO FLUID THROUGH. BREAK LINES WERE RUSTED THROUGH AND LEAKED FLUID ONCE THE VALVE HAD BEEN REPLACED. BRAKE CALIPERS WERE ALSO CEASED AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. MASTER CYLINDER AND BREAK BOOSTER ALSO FAULTY. PROBLEM IS NOW BETTER BUT AFTER APPROX $1500 PROBLEM IS STILL NOT RIGHT- CAR REFUSES TO STOP MOVING WHEN CAR HAD NOT BEEN RUN FOR A DAY OR MORE. IT MUST BE SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL TO STOP THE CAR. PROBLEM GOES AWAY AFTER ENGINE WARMS UP. NO VACUUM LEAKS, PROPER VACUUM PRESSURE AT ALL TIMES. *JB
AFTER FORD RECALL REPLACED HEAD GASKET DUE TO LEAKING COOLANT INTO FRONT 3 CYLINDERS OF 3.8 ENGINE, ENGINE STARTED USING OIL (QUART EVERY 600 MILES), CAUSING FRONT PLUGS TO FOUL AND BAD ENGINE PERFORMANCE. BEING THIS WAS THE SECOND COIL SPRING THAT FAILED I LOOKED AT THE OTHER 2 AND DISCOVERED THAT THE RIGHT FRONT COIL SPRING WAS BROKEN ALSO . IT WAS BROKEN NEAR THE TOP ON THE LAST SPIRIAL AND DID NOT MAKE THE CAR DROP DOWN MUCH . SO I GUESS THERE COULD BE MANY CARS LIKE THIS WHERE PEOPLE ARE NOT AWARE THE SPRING IS EVEN BROKEN. ALSO IN NOVEMBER OF 2003 I HAD TO HAVE REPAIRS TO THE THE CRADLE BUSHING REPLACED FOR THE REAR SUBFRAME . THIS TIME I JUST WAS TURNING RIGHT FROM A STOP SIGN WHEN IT BROKE AND DID NOT LOSE CONTROL BUT IT MADE THE CAR PULL / STEER TO THE RIGHT . I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THIS WAS A RECALL ON CERTIN VEHICLES BUT NOT ON MINE .

WHEN ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT THE GEARS, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO MOVE. THE CONSUMER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE FRONT SEAL AND TRANSMISSION NEEDED REPLACING DUE CORROSION. PLEASE FILL IN ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *JB

THIS IS THE THIRD TRANSMISSION IN THIS CAR, OR ABOUT ONE EVERY 30,000 MILES. (I THOUGHT 30,000 WAS THE TIME TO CHANGE THE FLUID, NOT THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION). *AK
MY 1995 FORD TAURUS WITH 3.8 LITER ENGINE HAS EXPERIENCED HEAD GASKETS FAILURES TWICE. THE FIRST TIME, FORD MOTOR COMPANY ADMITTED THAT THE DESIGN WAS FAULTY AND REPLACED THE ENGINE. THE SECOND TIME OCCURRED 28,000 MILES LATER, ON THE NEW ENGINE. NOW THEY REFUSE TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR A DESIGN THAT IS OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE.
