WHEN MAKING A LEFT OR RIGHT TURN AT ANY RATE OF SPEED THE VEHICLE WILL LOSE ALL POWER STEERING ABILITY WHICH COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. DEALER REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION MODULE WHICH MAY HAVE CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK

CONSUMER STATES IN WARM WEATHER WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PLACED IN GEAR VEHICLE DOES NOT MOVE. PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE INTERMITTENT. *AK IT TAKES 10-15 SECONDS OF PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL BEFORE THE VEHICLE GOES INTO GEAR, FORWARD OR REVERSE. *SLC
DEFROSTER IS USED,WINDOWS FOG UP, CAUSING POOR VISIBILTY. DEALERS COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM. CAUSE UNKNOWN. *AK

WHEN DRIVING IN RAINY WEATHER THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT. THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ALSO STOP WORKING. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP THREE TIMES SINCE APRIL OF 1997 FOR THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALER CHANGED THE POWER STEERING BELT WHICH DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. VEHICLEIS AT DEALERSHIP FOR THE FOURTH TIME FOR THIS PROBLEM. *AK

NO STEERING AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY WILL NOT SUBREGATE FORD UNLESS THERE HAS BEEN PRIOR CRASHES. THE COMPANY I HAVE IT AT NOW DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR. I HAD NO STEERING. PLEASE CALL ME FOR MORE DETAILS.
FORD IS NOT PROVIDING ANY INFORMATION ON COOLANT RUST DENYING RUST AT ALL. HAVE REPLACED RESEVOIR FOR ANTIFREEZE DUE TO A PREVIOUS RECALL... HEATER COIL HAS GONE OUT DUE TO CORROSION THAT FORD IS DENYING EVEN EXSISTS.
AT 61,000 MILES A MALFUNCTION HAS OCURRED WITHIN THE TRANSMISSION WHICH CAUSES THE VEHICLE, WHEN COMING TO A STOP, TO GO INTO NEUTRAL EVEN IF THE VEHICLE IS IN DRIVE. ALSO, AFTER STEPPING ON THE ACCELRATOR PEDAL THE VEHICLE WILL JUMP, AND PROCEED IN DRIVE. DEALERSHIP CLAIMED THAT IT WAS BECAUSE OWNER DID NOT CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID, OWNER LATER DISCOVERED THAT THERE WERE SOME RECALLS FOR DIFFERENT VIN#S. *AK.ET.
WHILE DRIVING POWER STEERING HAS FROZEN UP, MAKING STEERING HARD TO CONTROL, AND IT DOESN'T RETRACT ON ITS OWN. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE AT VARIOUS SPEEDS THE ENGINE WILL SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN WITHOUT WARNING WHICH COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. *AK
MY PROBLEM IS NOT BEEN DETERMINED A SAFETY DEFECT AS YET BUT COULD POSSIBLY BE ONE EVENTUALLY. THE STEERING MAKES A GRINDING NOISE WHEN TURNING RIGHT. I HAVE REVIEWED YOUR DATABASE ON CONSUMER COMPLAINTS AND HAVE FOUND OTHER INSTANCES OF A SIMILAR PROBLEM. I HAVE ALSO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE DOOR HANDLES AND HAVE ALSO TO THIS DATE HAVE HAD THE ENTIRE FRONT SUSPENSION REPLACED. I REALIZE THIS IS A FORUM FOR REPORTING SAFETY DEFECTS BUT I HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL OTHER MEANS

WHEN WE DRIVE THRU A SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER (PUDDLE) WITH THE RIGHT FRONT, THE CAR STALLS. I HAVE SEEN MANY OF THESE REPORTED IN YOUR COMPLAINTS DATABASE & AM WONDERING IF ANY ONE HAVE SOLVED THIS PROBLEM YET. IT JUST SEEMS LIKE WATER GETS ON THE SERPENTINE BELT & IT SLIPS & STALLS THE CAR. ONCE IT EVEN RESTARTED AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT SHUTTING THE KEY OFF & RE-STARTING. THIS SEEMS VERY ODD TO ME. HOW DOES THE ENGINE REFIRE WITHOUT TURNING THE KEY? *AK
