BRAKE FAILURE, THIRD TIME IN TWO MONTH PERIOD. *AK
VEHICLE IS A FORD WINDSTAR LIMITED 2003 MINIVAN. THE ADVANCE TRAC SYSTEM CAME ON DURING NORMAL OPERATION AND ON DRY PAYMENT AND UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SPINNING AND I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 25 MPH. THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE LEFT INTO THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND THEN SLOWED TO A STOP ON ITS OWN. THERE WAS A TERRIBLE NOISE AS IF THE FRONT SUSPENSION WAS BEING TORN APART. I DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED OFF THE ADVANCE TRAC SYSTEM. AFTER TESTING THE TRANSMISSION AND I PROCEEDED TO MY DESTINATION. WHEN I WAS A FEW HUNDRED FEET FROM MY HOME I TURNED THE ADVANCE TRAC SYSTEM BACK ON AND IT REPEATED THE SAME SCENARIO. I THEN PARKED THE VEHICLE IN MY DRIVEWAY AND CALL A TOWED TRUCK FOR DELIVERY TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. *JB
I HAVE POWER SLIDING DOORS ON MY WINDSTAR VAN. THIS VAN HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE SHOP NUMEROUS TIMES BECAUSE THE DOOR WILL NOT SHUT SECURELY. I HAVE ACTUALLY HAD TO TAKE IT TO THE SHOP WITH THE DOOR ONLY PARTICULARLY SECURE FOR THEM TO EXAMINE THE PROBLEM. THIS IS UNSAFE ESPECIALLY SINCE MY CHILD WAS IN THE VAN WITH ME. I REPORTED TO FORD THAT I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING IT FIXED AND THEY SENT A LETTER FOR ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER, PLEASE NOTE I HAD BEEN TAKING IT TO THE DEALER FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS. *NM
WE'RE WRITING THIS LETTER TO INFORM YOU OF WHAT WE SEE AND FEEL IS A FLAW IN THE DESIGN OF THE 2003 FORD WINDSTAR AND A SAFETY HAZARD. WE TOOK OUR 2003 WINDSTAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FROM WHICH WE BOUGHT IT, " PRAIRIE FORD" LOCATED AT 601 WEST ROOSEVELT ROAD, WEST CHICAGO, ILLINOIS 60185 BECAUSE WE WERE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE DUAL SLIDING PASSENGER DOORS WINDOWS FOGGING UP WITH OR WITHOUT PASSENGERS. THIS WAS CAUSING A VISION PROBLEM FOR THE DRIVER BECAUSE YOU COULD NOT SEE OUT THOSE WINDOWS FOR THE PURPOSE OF; BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT OR WHEN CHANGING LANES DUE TO THESE WINDOWS WOULD NOT CLEAR DURING COLD OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES. THERE ARE FOUR CEILING VENTS (2) IN THE MIDDLE AND (2) TO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. WE NOTICED THAT THE (2) MIDDLE CEILING VENTS DID NOT WORK WHETHER YOU USED THE FRONT CONTROLS OR YOU USED THE PASSENGER COMFORT CONTROLS ASKING FOR HEAT. THE (2) FAR BACK CEILING VENTS DID WORK AND DID PRODUCED HEAT AND WERE VERY LOUD TO THE PASSENGER TO THE POINT THEY COULD NOT HEAR CONVERSATION TAKING PLACE FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THIS WE BELIEVE IS NOT VERY PASSENGER FRIENDLY AND THE COMFORT CONTROLS DO NOT PROVIDE COMFORT FOR YOUR PASSENGERS. THE PASSENGERS SEATED BEHIND THE DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WERE NOT COMFORTABLE BECAUSE THEY WERE ALWAYS COLD AND COULD NOT SEE OUT THEIR SLIDING DOOR WINDOWS, BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT DEFROST OR CLEAR. WHEN YOU ASKED FOR HEAT A RELAY SHUT DOWN THE (2) VENT TO THE MIDDLE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT CEILING VENT AND ONLY THE FAR BACK UNIT PROVIDED HEAT. WE WERE INFORMED THAT WE ARE THE FIRST TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM BY OUR SALES PERSON. WE WERE FURTHER INFORMED THAT THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW AND THEY THE DEALERSHIP HAD NO ANSWERS ON HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. *JB
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT TWO. FIRST, THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT PROPERLY WHEN CHANGING GEARS. THIS CONDITION ALMOST CAUSED A REAR END COLLISION. SECONDLY, DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT WILL NOT LATCH IF ANY TYPE OF DEBRIS GOT INSIDE OF THE BUCKLE OPENING, LEAVING THE DRIVER WITHOUT ANY RESTRAINT IF THE VEHICLE GOT INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ROCKED SIDE TO SIDE, AND THE REAR END WOBBLED. *AK
VEHICLE PULLS TO THE LEFT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND REAR AXLE DOG TRACKS. UNABLE TO DRIVE IN LEFT LANE OF ANY MAJOR HIGHWAY WITH OUT VEHICLE WANTING TO DRIVE INTO ONCOMING TRAFIC OR CENTER MEDIAN OR RETAIN WALL. *AK
SINCE PURCHASE I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION, AIRCONDITIONER, AND THE ALTERNATOR--THIS HAS BEEN REPLACED 4 TIMES. THERE IS STILL AN ISSUE WITH THE INTERIOR LIGHTS COMING ON. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED TO FORD AND THEY STATE THERE IS NO ISSUE ON THEIR PART. *TR
MY 2003 FORD WINDSTAR HAS SEVER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE INTERIOR LIGHTS RANDOMLY COME ON AND WILL FLASH UNTIL I TURN THEM OFF WITH THE DASH CONTROL. IT WILL GO FOR FEW DAYS WITH NO PROBLEM AND THEN START FLASHING AGAIN. THIS STARTED AT ABOUT 40,000 MILES AND STILL HAPPENING AT 115,000 MILES. DEALER HAS CHECK SEVERAL TIMES AND SAYS THEY CAN FIND NO PROBLEM. OF COURSE WON'T DO IT WHEN AT DEALER. *TR
THE BRAKE LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON FOR ABS AND EMERGENCY BRAKE. THEY ARE OFTEN SPONGY AND DON'T OPERATE WELL. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN ONGOING. THE CAR HAS BEEN LOOKED AT DOZENS OF TIMES BUT NO ISSUE CAN BE IDENTIFIED.
DRIVERS SIDE SEAT MOVES WHEN PARKED AND LEFT ALONE. THIS VERIES FROM 1/2 INCH TO SEVERAL INCES. PROBLEM IS INCONSISTANT. ALSO SEAT BACK BENT AND THE SEAT CUSHION IS ALSO NOT SUPPORTIVE.
WE RENTED A FORD WINDSTAR FROM HERTZ DURING A RECENT VACATION. WHILE SHUTTING THE MANUAL SLIDING DOOR, I BROKE MY MIDDLE FINGER AND BADLY BRUISED MY RING FINGER. THE DOOR HANDLE INSIDE THE VEHICLE, USED FOR SHUTTING THE DOOR, APPEARS TO BE TOO CLOSE TO THE DOOR JAM. I WAS DISTRESSED TO SEE ONLINE THAT OTHERS HAD COMPLAINED OF THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AS LONG AGO AS 1999, STATING THAT IF YOU DIDN'T GRIP THE HANDLE TIGHTLY, BUT INSTEAD LEFT YOUR FINGERS SLIGHTLY EXTENDED, THEY WOULD BE INJURED AND THAT FORD HOPED TO HAVE THIS FIXED IN THE 1999 VERSION.(HTTP://WWW.CARTRACKERS.COM/FORUMS/LIVE/FORD/25.HTML) SEE THE 2ND PARAGRAPH. OBVIOUSLY, IT'S NOT YET FIXED. *LA
WE PURCHASED THE 2003 FORD WINDSTAR IN OCTOBER OF 2003. SINCE THAT TIME, THE VAN HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE SHOP 5 TIMES BECAUSE OF A LOUD SCREECHING IN THE POWER STEERING, INTERIOR LIGHTS FLICKERING ON AND OFF (WHICH THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULDN'T FIND A REASON FOR THAT AND THAT I SHOULD JUST TURN THE INTERIOR LIGHTS OFF SO THAT IT DOSEN'T HAPPEN), AND A THUMPING IN THE FRONT END WHEN THE WHEELS ARE TURNED SHARPLY. THEY TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD BRING THE VAN TO THE SHOP WHENEVER ANY OF THESE THINGS HAPPEN SINCE THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS CAUSING THESE PROBLEMS AND I HAVE DONE THAT. I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING A LOANER CAR FROM THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THE VAN IS BACK IN THE SHOP. I CALLED FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THEM. I NEED TO KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING AND WHAT CAN BE DONE TO FIX THIS VAN.
2003 FORD WINSTAR WIFE WAS LEANING ON FRONT PASSINGER DOOR, DOOR WAS LOCK, BUT AS SLOWING DOWN FOR STOP SIGN AND A FEW BUMPS IN THE ROAD THE FRONT PASS DOOR "POPED"OPEN ENOUGH TO SOUND THE DOOR OPEN ALARM. THE DOOR DID NOT OPEN ALL THE WAY, THE LOCK BUTTON WAS STILL IN THE DOWN POSITION. FORD DEALER LOOKED OVER AND SAID THEY SAW NO DEFECT, HOWEVER WHAT AND WHY DID THE DOOR COME OPEN PART WAY.*AK
MY HUSBAND AND I WERE DRIVING OUR 2003 FORD WINDSTAR WHEN IT WAS HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE TRAVELING AT A HIGH SPEED. THE IMPACT WAS ON THE PASSAGE SIDE BACK WHEEL AND CAUSED OUR VAN TO ROLL OVER. HOWEVER, THE PASSENGER SIDE AID BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. ALSO, THE LATCHES THAT CONNECT THE REAR SEATS TO THE FLOOR RELEASED FROM THE TWO SEATS AT THE MIDDLE ROW. SEVEN DAYS LATER FORD RECALLED 257,119 WINDSTAR MINIVANS BECAUSE THE LATCHES THAT CONNECT THE REAR SEATS TO THE FLOOR COULD RELEASE IN AN ACCIDENT......FORD WINDSTAR IS A VERY UNSAFE CAR, SPECIALLY IF YOU USE IT WITH CHILDREN!!*AK
THE ELECTRIC SLIDING DOOR ON OUR 2003 FORD WINDSTAR WILL NOT STOP IF MY WIFE OR CHILD IS IN ITS INTENDED PATH. THE DOOR WILL LITERALLY PIN THEM AGAINST THE DOOR FRAME. I HAVE HAD TO APPLY FORCE IN ORDER TO HAVE THE DOOR REVERSE. *AK ALSO THE DOOR MECHANISM (LATCH) WILL NOT ALLOW THE DOOR TO OPEN WHEN PULLED. THE DOOR MUST BE FORCEIBLY PULLED TO ECTIVATE THE AUTO OPEN SEQUENCE. MY WIFE HAS STATED THAT WHEN CLOSING THER DOOR WITH THE KEY FOB THAT THE DOOR DOES NOT ALWAY CLOSE, SHE HAS HAD TWO OCCURENCES WHERE SHE HAS REMOVED MY DAUGHTER FROM THE VAN AND CLOSED THE DOOR, WHEN SHE CAME OUT OF THE STORE THE DOOR WAS OPEN.
2003 FORD WINDSTAR WAS BROUGHT IN TO DEALER FOR HEAT PROBLEM AND VEHICLE WAS DETAINED DUE TO RECALL. DID NOT GET ANY INFORMATION VIA MAIL REGARDING THIS RECALL. *TR
PURCHASED VEHICLE 10/17PM WITH 50 MILES REGISTERED ON ODOMETER. DRIVING THE CAR HOME FROM KING'S FORD, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE SHIFTING WAS ROUGH UPON STARTING AND STOPPING THE CAR. THE OVERDRIVE LIGHT WAS ALSO FLASHING ON AND OFF. 10/18 AM, THE WINDSTAR WAS TAKEN BACK TO KING'S FORD SERVICE WHERE 2 DIAGNOSTIC CHECKS SHOWED TRANSMISSION TROUBLE.
WE OWN A 2003 FORD WINDSTAR VAN. EVER SINCE WE HAVE HAD THE VAN AFTER RUNNING AT CRUISING SPEED THE ENGINE WILL NOT IDLE DOWN. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES BUT THEY COULD NOT FIX IT. BEING A FORMER FORD TECH. I TRIED TO FIX IT MY SELF AND REPLACED THE TPS SENSOR WITH NO LUCK. NO MATTER WHERE YOU SET THE IDLE SPEED THE PROBLEM WILL COME BACK. WE HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH PROBLEM FOR THREE YEARS NOW AND ARE GROWING VERY TIRED. NOT ONLY IS THIS DANGEROUS IT IS WEARING OUT BRAKES FASTER. IT SEEMS TO BE AN ELECTRONIC PROBLEM WHERE THE COMPUTER WILL NOT LOWER THE IDLE. I HAVE CHECKED THE THROTTLE CABLE AND THROTTLE VALVE AND NOTHING IS BINDING. I CAN'T BLAME THE MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP, I BLAME FORD. I HOPE THIS CAN BE CORRECTED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. I BOUGHT THIS VAN SO I WOULD NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY WIFE AND KIDS. *JB
THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND BRAKE PEDAL ARE TOO CLOSE. WHEN PUSHING THE BRAKE PEDAL SOMEHOW THE ACCELERATOR IS PUSHED, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE. ONCE, CAUSED A COLLISION, WHERE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE HIT A PARKED VEHICLE IN A PARKING LOT. *AK
THE POWER SLIDING DOORS ON MY 2003 WINDSTAR OPEN SPONTANEOUSLY AFTER CLOSING. THIS IS A CONCERN WHEN THERE ARE CHILDREN OR PETS IN THE CAR. TWO DIFFERENT CAR DEALERS HAVE ATTEMPTED MULTIPLE TIMES TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY HAVE BEEN UNSUCESSFUL SO FAR. ANOTHER ISSUE IS THE CAR ALARM GOES OFF FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. THEY HAVE ALSO ATTEMPED TO FIX THIS PROBLEM, WITH NO SUCCESS.
EXCESSIVE WIND NOISE IN FRONT SEAT AREA AT 65 MPH OR FASTER. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO REPAIR. CANNOT LOCATE PROBLEM BUT RECOGNIZES THAT IT EXISTS. *NM
AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ACTIVATED. WOULD CHANGE FROM A BLINKING LIGHT TO STEADY ON FOR 20-30 MINUTES. VEHICLE TAKEN IN FOR SERVICING. NOW ON DAY #2 IN THE SERVICE DEPT. ESTIMATED TO BE READY IN ONE MORE DAY.*AK
THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE BLEW OUT. THE DRIVER PULLED OVER TO CHANGE THE TIRE WITH THE JACK. WHILE TAKING OFF THE FLAT TIRE, THE JACK COLLAPSED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DRIVER WAS NOT INJURED. *AK THE TIRE WAS BEING CHANGED IN THE GARAGE ON A FLAT CEMENT FLOOR. *SCC *JB
THE ADVANCED TRACKING SYSTEM ENGAGED ON ITS OWN. WHEN TRACKING SYSTEM ENGAGED VEHICLE SHOOK VIOLENTLY. THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED THREE TIMES SINCE AUGUST 2003. *AK *NM
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 FORD WINDSTAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE SYSTEMS ABS MODULE WAS DEFECTIVE. THE ABS BRAKE LIGHT STARTED COMING ON AND THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT IT CAUSED THE FAILURE TO OCCUR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED WHEN THE COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 115000.
I BOUGHT A 2003 FORD WINDSTAR ON JULY 7, 2003. SHORTLY AFTER I LEFT FOR PA, FOR VACATION. AFTER ONE WEEK AND A HALF ON WAS ON RT. 380 IN PA, AS I APPROCHED THE EXIT THE CAR STARTED TO SHAKE. I DID KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON, I PRAYED AND GOT FOR THE EXIT. AT THE END OF THE EXIT I GOT OUT OF THE CAR, WALKED AROUND IT AND I COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING. SO I THOUGHT IF I COULD MAKE IT ONE MORE MILE TO THE GAS STATION I WOULD BE FINE. I WENT 8' AND I HEARD THIS NOISE. I GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND THE WHEEL BROKE AWAY FROM THE WHEEL. MY BUMPER COUGHT THE WHEEL AND DENTED THE BUMPER. THE CAR WAS TOWED THE THE NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE SAYING IT WAS SOOM THING I DID TO THE CAR, AND THEY WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CAR. AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS TO SETTLE THE MATTER THEY WILL DO NOTHING FOR ME.*AK
PASSENGER AUTOMATIC SLIDING DOOR REOPENS WHILE IN THE PROCESS OF CLOSING. THIS HAPPENS ABOUT 80% OF THE TIME. WE HAVE TO MANUALLY FORCE THE DOOR TO CLOSE SOME TIMES AND TRY 4-5 TIMES THE OTHER TIMES TO CLOSE. THIS PROBLEM ALSO OCCURS SOMETIMES WHILE IN REVERSE OR DRIVE, WHEN CLOSE BUTTON IS PUSHED INSIDE. ALSO, THE SLIDING DOOR DOES NOT STOP AND RETRACT IF SOMETHING IS IN THE WAY. I, THE OWNER, REMOTELY CLOSED THE DOOR AND REALIZED I FORGOT SOMETHING, I WENT TO GRAB FOR IT, AND THE DOOR CONTINUED TO CLOSE AND ALMOST SHUT MY SHOULDER AND ARM INSIDE. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ABLE TO PULL MY ARM OUT, BUT THE DOOR CONTINUED TO CLOSE UNTIL IT FINALLY SHUT. *LA
THERE IS A NOISE IN THE REAR BREAK DRUMS CAUSED BY MOISTURE. *MR THERE WAS A NOISE IN THE REAR BRAKE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO MOISTURE AND NOT TO WORRY. THE TRANSMISSION WAS PROBLEMATIC, AND THE REAR BRAKES HAD STARTED TO NOT STOP PROPERLY. THE REAR BRAKES WERE READJUSTED, AND A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS ADDED. THE NOISE IN THE BRAKES HAD RETURNED. *SCC *JB
I HAVE A 2003 WINDSTAR SE. THE GAS PEDAL HAS A PIVOT IN THE ARM AND OVER THE LAST 8 MONTHS THAT I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE THIS PEDAL HAS CAUSED ME TO ALMOST GET INTO SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. THE PEDAL FLIPS ALMOST HORIZONTAL TOWARDS THE DRIVERS SEAT WHEN I TAKE MY FOOT OFF OF IT, THEREFORE WHEN I GO TO LEAVE A STOP LIGHT OR SOMETHING OF THAT NATURE IT IS ALMOST LIKE SLAMMING THE GAS PEDAL. IN ORDER TO GET THE PEDAL BACK IN THE POSITION IT WAS ORGINALLY IN I HAVE TO FLIP IT BACK UP WITH MY FOOT. THIS IS A VERY BAD PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I BELIEVE THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS VAN TO FIX THE PROBLEM.*AK
THE HARD SHIFTING STARTED ABOUT A YEAR AGO. NOW WITH 160,000KM THE TRANSMISSION NOW SHUDDERS AND SHIFTS ERRATIC. I WAS TOLD BY THE TRANSMISSION SHOP IT'S THE TORQUE CONVERTER NOT WORKING RIGHT WHICH IS CAUSED BY THE A DEFECT IN THE VALVE BODY. A COMPLETE REMANUFACTURE MAKING IT BETTER THAN FORD CAN WILL RUN $2500. $1800 IF I REMOVE AND INSTALL IT MYSELF. *TR
THE CONSUMER NOTICED THE ENGINE RACED WHEN A STOP WAS MADE. CONSUMER HAD TO PLACE THE ENGINE IN NEUTRAL IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. *AK THE MOTOR RACED THREE TO FOUR RPM'S WHEN THE CONSUMER TRIED TO STOP. THE COMPUTER DIDN'T SHOW A SIGN OF FAILURE. *SCC *JB
I AM WRITING ABOUT OUR 2003 FORD WINDSTAR. OUR PASSENGER AUTOMATIC SLIDING DOOR FREQUENTLY POPS OPEN AFTER IT APPEARS TO HAVE LATCHED SHUT. IT HAS OPENED BY ITSELF ON THREE OCCASIONS WHILE THE VAN WAS IN DRIVE. RECENTLY MY THREE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER ALMOST FELL OUT OF THE VAN HEADFIRST ONTO CONCRETE BECAUSE THE DOOR POPPED BACK OPEN AS SOON AS IT "LATCHED" SHUT. THE VAN HAS BEEN IN TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM SEVEN TIMES WITHOUT SUCCESS. WE FIRST STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH BOTH DOORS WITHIN THE FIRST 2 WEEKS OF PURCHASED. THE TIMES THE DOOR HAS POPPED BACK OPEN ARE WAY TO NUMEROUS TO COUNT. THE NUMBER LISTED BELOW IS A LOW ESTIMATE.*AK
2003 FORD WINDSTAR THE SIDE DOORS HAVE NOT WORKED RIGHT FROM THE TIME WE BOUGHT THIS VAN. TOOK IT BACK TO DEALER, SAID IT'S CONTACTS ARE DIRTY. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 FORD WINDSTAR. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE LIGHT AND THE ABS LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIANS STATED THEY COULD DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE FOR A FEE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
NAR 03-25-2003. THE CONSUMER HAD TO RETURN THE VEHICLE TO THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS BECAUSE OF A PROBLEM WITH THE SLIDING DOORS. THE FIRST TIME THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE CONSUMER NOTICED THE DRIVER SIDE REAR SLIDER PANEL WAS HANGING ON BY A FEW PLASTIC RIVETS, THE DOORS WOULD POP BACK OPEN AFTER THE CLOSED BUTTON WAS PUSHED. THE DEALER MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO FIX THE DOOR. *JB
STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AT 35 MPH. CONSUMER HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKE AND GAS PEDALS SIMULTANEOUSLY TO UNLOCK STEERING WHEEL. DEALER HAD BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
