Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)SINCE TAKING DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE, THE AUTO-LEVELING HEADLIGHTS DO NOT STAY IN ADJUSTMENT, LEADING TO THE LOW 'BEAM' OF LIGHT BEING EITHER WAY TOO LOW, AND THEREFORE NOT ILLUMINATING THE ROADWAY SAFELY, OR BEING TOO HIGH (MOST RECENTLY THE LOW BEAMS WERE HIGHER THAN THE HIGH BEAMS). THE DEALER HAS CONSULTED WITH HYUNDAI, AND THEY FREELY ADMIT TO ME THAT THEY CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER 5-6 TIMES, WHERE THEY MANUALLY ADJUST THE LIGHTS WITH A SCREWDRIVER, BUT THE LIGHTS ON THEIR OWN RE SELF-ADJUST TO EITHER TOO LOW, OR TOO HIGH AND IN NEITHER CASE THE ROADWAY BEING SAFELY ILLUMINATED. MOST OF THE TIME THEY ARE TOO LOW. I HAVE GOTTEN 4 FLATS BECAUSE OF POOR ILLUMINATION. I AM UNABLE TO DRIVER THE CAR AT NIGHT. PHOTOS ATTACHED SHOW THE BEAM IN THE NYC HOLLAND TUNNEL, SHOWING THE LOW BEAM LOW, AND NOT ILLUMINATING PAST ABOUT 75'. I HAVE MANY OTHER PHOTOS, PLUS DASH CAM VIDEOS SHOWING THE PROBLEM.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
