Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND IT DISPLAYS A MESSAGE 'SHIFT TO PARK,' EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS IN PARK. IT DOESN'T ALLOW THE CAR TO SHUT OFF COMPLETELY. THE ENGINE TURNS OFF, BUT THE ELECTRICAL STAYS ON. WHEN WE TRY TO DRIVE IT, IT IS SLOW TO ACCELERATE AND THE RPMS SHOOT TO 4 AND DON'T GO DOWN UNLESS BREAKING. FINALLY THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE PAST 55MPH AND THE RPMS STAY AT 4, WITH THE ENGINE BEING VERY NOISY. THIS LEFT US STRANDED AN HOUR FROM OUR HOUSE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. FORTUNATELY THIS OCCURRED IN A PARKING LOT. WE DROVE A FEW MILES TO TRY TO GET TO OUR DEALERSHIP, BUT DID NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
