THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN PLACING THE GEAR IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE THE CONTACT NOTICED A VIBRATION AND A LOUD BANGING SOUND IN THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THERE WAS NO KNOWN REMEDY FOR THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN NORMAL OPERATING CONDITION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
