DASHBOARD BY AIRBAG HAS CRACKED FOR NO REASON AND NOW IT HAS CRACKED OVER THE DRIVERS SIDE TWO CRACKS JUST KEEP HAPPENING TO THE DASHBOARD I AM CONCERNED THAT IF AIRBAGS DEPLOY IN ACCIDENT PASSENGER OR DRIVER WILL DIFFENDLY WILL BE HURT BY PEACIES OF PLASTIC THIS HAS HAPPENED WELL VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND WELL PARKED OVER NIGHT
TAKATA RECALL WENT BACK TO LOCAL CHEVY GMC DEALER AGAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME IN ALMOST 3 YEARS SINCE I RECEIVED MY RECALL LETTER FROM GM. THEY LOOKED UP RECALL AND AGAIN TOLD ME THAT IT HAS BEEN RECALLED BUT THEY HAVEN'T AGREED ON WHOSE GOING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I AM TIRED OF WAITING AND DRIVING A TRUCK THAT IN MY OPINION IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE WITH THIS SAFETY RELATED ISSUE. I WANT THIS FIXED BECAUSE 3 YEARS IS LONG ENOUGH TO FIGURE OUT WHOSE PAYING AND GET THE JOB DONE. IF IT DOSEN'T GET RESOLVED SOON I WILL HAVE TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST GM. I DRIVE THIS VEHICLE DAILY SO IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED.
TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED MY FIRST RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2016 AND IT IS ALMOST 3 YEARS LATER AND STILL NO RESOLUTION TO THE PASSENGER AIR BAG PROBLEM. I'M CONCERNED FOR ANY PASSENGER THAT RIDES WITH ME IN THE EVENT THAT THE AIR BAG WOULD DEPLOY. SEEMS LIKE 3 YEARS IS WAY TO LONG TO GET THIS FIXED.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL TWO YEARS PRIOR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STOPPED AT TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING OR IMPACT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KING BUICK GMC (1700 W EVANS ST, FLORENCE, SC 29501) AND A CASE WAS OPENED WITH THE MANUFACTURER HOWEVER, THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT GMC WAS UNABLE TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGES AND TO RESOLVE MATTERS THROUGH THE INSURANCE PROVIDER. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAG WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER WHEN SHE RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTIFICATION. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE STICKING BY THE RESULTS FROM THE INVESTIGATION IN 2019, THAT PRODUCED NO MERIT FOR THE ALLEGATIONS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,735. ## VIN PASSED ## GMC 2008 SIERRA ##
THE DOOR ACTUATORS ON BOTH BACK SEAT DOORS OF MY CREW CAB HAVE FAILED AND PASSENGERS CANNOT EXIT THE VEHICLE NOR CAN THE DOORS BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE. THIS FAILURE IS INTERMITTENT AND AND UNSAFE FOR PASSENGERS TO EXIT THE VEHICLE IN AN EMERGENCY. THE TRUCK IS AT THE GM DEALER BEING REPAIRED FOR $670.00 PLUS TAX AND SHOP CHARGES.
MY SIERRA DEVELOPED A NOISE ON DECELERATION. TOOK IT TO THE GMC DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT HAD A WORN CAM. $5500 TO REPAIR, $7750 TO REPLACE ENGINE. I KNEW THAT A WORN CAM WOULD CAUSE LIFTER NOISE ALL THE TIME SO THAT WAS WRONG INFO. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION I FOUND OUT THIS TRUCK HAS ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT. WHAT HAPPENED WAS A FAILURE OF THE SYSTEM. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THIS TRUCK ALWAYS HAD HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION. I DEACTIVATED THE ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. THE TRUCK RUNS ON ALL 8 CYLINDERS, IS COMPLETELY QUIET AND NO LONGER USES OIL. IT IS BETTER THAN NEW. I ALSO FOUND HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS SIMILAR TO MY AND PAID FOR EXPENSIVE REPAIRS. THIS ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT IS NOTHING MORE THAN A SCAM TO FALSELY INCREASE FUEL MILEAGE AND TO RIP OFF CUSTOMERS WHEN IT GOES BAD. IT CAN BE DEACTIVATED WITH A $175 CHIP.
ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND FRONT LEFT OF THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. IF AIRBAG GOES OFF SHARDS ARE GOING TO FLY AT FACES. SAFETY HAZARD IF THE AIRBAG WAS DEPLOYED AND IS NOT AESTHETICALLY PLEASING MAKING A FINE GM VEHICLE LOOK SLOPPY
DEALER STATED GM WAS NOT REPLACING AIR BAGS
left side frame is defective, I have welded 4 patches on frame.from the bend by wheel well and fuel tank to front wheel well all by were frame has bracket welded and bottom of inside of frame . if hit on left side can cause frame to crumble and fuel tank to explode. it needs to be looked at for recall. i have spoken to many oweners of 2007 to 2009 gm trucks. and all have same problem. my truck only has around 112 thousand on it this is 3rd year i had to repair.
DASH IS CRACKED IN THE "COMMON PLACE" FOR THESE VEHICLES. CORNER ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND AT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, THE TRANSMISSION IS ALSO A ISSUE, THE 3/4 GEAR PACKET HAS WENT OUT AND THE HOUSING INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION IS CRACKED, SO IT WOULD'VE BROKE SOON ALSO.
TAKATA RECALL WHY HAVE THE OWNER OF THESE VEHICLES BEEN NEGLECTED AND NO REPAIRS SOLUTIONS HAS BEEN OFFERED?
MY HUSBAND WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT WHEN THE SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. WE CONTACTED GMC THEY SENT SOMEONE TO INVESTIGATE. THAT PERSON SAID DUE TO SOME WATER LEAKING IN ON THEM IS WHAT CAUSED IT. NOTHING WAS WET THOUGH. NOW THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP. SEEMS LIKE IF THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A DEFECT IN THE FRONT AIRBAGS IT IS A CHANCE THE SIDE ONES ARE ALSO BAD. THEY HANG LIKE CURTAINS. HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE IT SINCE THE SEATBELTS LOCKED ALSO. THE COST TO REPAIR WOULD BE $6000. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WAS NO FAULT OF OURS. THERE HAS BEEN SO MUCH TIME PUT INTO TRYING TO GET THIS RESOLVED. WE CANT E THE ONLY ONES THIS HAPPENED TO. SUGGESTION?

LIFTERS FAILED AT 98,000 CAUSING ENGINE REPLACEMENT.
TAKATA AIR BAGS. I HAVE BEEN TO THE GMC DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE LAST 2-3 YEARS SINCE THE RECALL WAS PLACED ON MY PICKUP FOR THE TAKATA AIR BAGS TRYING TO GET THE AIR BAGS REPLACED OR FIXED. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT GM HAS NOT COME UP WITH A SOLUTION OR RESOLUTION FOR MY VEHICLE TO REPLACE OR REPAIR THE RECALLED TAKATA AIR BAGS. THIS ABSURD THAT THE RECALL HAS GONE ON THIS LONG AND GM DOES NOT HAVE A PLAN OR A WAY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE THE TAKATA AIR BAGS IN MY 2008 GMC SIERRA 1500 PICKUP TRUCK. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AND FORCE THEM TO FIX THESE AIR BAGS BEFORE MORE PEOPLE ARE KILLED OR SEVERELY INJURED.

"TAKATA RECALL" I WAS AT A VET CLINIC GETTING MEDS FOR MY DOG, TRUCK WAS TURNED OFF, WHEN I CAME BACK OUT TO GET IN TRUCK IT LOOK LIKE A BIG PILLOW IN THE TRUCK, WHEN I OPEN DOOR THE SMELL WAS HORRIBLE AND IT WAS THE AIR BAG HAD EXPLODED ON PASSENGER SIDE..CAME HOME AND GOT ON THE INTERNET TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL, SURE IS.. TAKATA RECALL - RECEIVED NHTSA RECALL #2049151 GM # 16V381, IN 2016. I'VE CALLED MCKINNEY TX GMC BUICK NUMEROUS TIMES OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS & HAVE BEEN TOLD REPEATEDLY THAT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. TODAY I CALLED & SPOKE WITH A GM REP (PH# 866-996-9463). I WAS TOLD THAT MY PARTICULAR VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL & IS SAFE TO DRIVE (HE READ ME A LONG STATEMENT THAT I'M SURE GM TELLS THEM TO READ). WHEN I ASKED HIM WHY, WHEN I ENTER MY VIN IN THEIR WEBSITE SEARCH, IT SAYS MY VEHICLE IS AT RISK, HE COULDN'T ANSWER. SINCE RECEIVING THE ORIGINAL NOTICE OVER 2 YEARS AGO, I'VE PURPOSELY LIMITED THE MILES DRIVEN ON MY 10-YR-OLD TRUCK, BECAUSE OF THEIR RECALL LETTER. NOW, THEY'RE SAYING THE LETTER WAS WRONG, BUT THEY'RE NOT WILLING TO SEND ME SOMETHING STATING THAT. I HAVE ZERO FAITH IN WHAT THAT GM REP TOLD ME, & I'M REALLY HESITANT TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY. PLEASE ADVISE IF MY VEHICLE IS, INDEED SAFE TO DRIVE, OW WHETHER I NEED TO CONTINUE PURSUING GM FOR REPAIRS. IF THEY CAN PUT SAFE AIRBAGS IN A NEW TRUCK, WHY CAN'T THEY PUT ONE IN MINE?

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

REGARDING RECALL FOR GM 14515B. OR NHTSA 14V614 I HAVE A 2008 GMC SIERRA SLT WITH A 5.3 LITRE ENGINE. MY VEHICLE FAILS TO START AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON WHEN BROUGHT TO THE DEALER THEY CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP FLOW CONTROL MODULE PART 20759945 THE SAME PART NUMBER THAT IS MENTIONED IN THE CURRENT RECALL. I ALSO HAVE SAME CONDITION MENTIONED IN CURRENT RECALL. BUT WHEN ASKED ABOUT THE RECALL GYM CANADA CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DEALER JUST SAYS THERE IS NO RECALL ON MY VIN BUT CAN'T EXPLAIN WHAT VEHICLES ARE AFFECTED BY RECALL AND WHY. MY VEHICLE FALLS WITHIN THE YEARS AFFECTED BY THE RECALL. I AM SENDING THIS BECAUSE I THINK MORE VEHICLES ARE AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL THAN ORIGINALLY MENTIONED. IF YOU COULD LOOK INTO THIS PLEASE. I JUST FIND IT WEIRD HOW THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCES THE SAME CONDITION AND THE SAME PART IS AFFECTED BUT FOR SOME VEHICLES IT'S NOT A RECALL. WILL SOMEBODY HAVE TO DIE FOR THIS TO BECOME A CONCERN. I HAD A RECALL ON MY AIRBAG 2 YEARS BACK AND THE DEALER SAID THAT THE PARTS OR ON BACK ORDER.AT WHAT POINT DOES THIS BECOME A SAFETY ISSUE????
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC SIERRA 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER. ALSO, THE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE ENGINE, AND REDUCED ENGINE POWER INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (BETTEN BAKER BUICK, 2901 28TH ST, GRANDVILLE, MI, 49418, PHONE NUMBER: 616-530-9191) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 96,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE RECALL NOTICE STATED THAT A SECOND NOTICE WOULD BE SENT WHEN PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL GM IS STILL NOT REPLACING DEFECTIVE INFLATORS. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE COMPLETED THEIR INVESTIGATION MONTHS AGO BUT THERE IS SILENCE.
I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND HIT A FENCE AND THEN A POWER POLE. THE IMPACT PUSHED THE POWER POLE ABOUT A FOOT AND MY ENGINE WAS PUSHED INTO THE INTERIOR. THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. AT THIS IMPACT SHOULD THE AIRBAG HAVE DEPLOYED?
TAKATA RECALL CONTACTED JIM CURLY DEALER AND THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE THE AIR BAGS BECAUSE THEY SAID IT WAS STILL AN OPEN RECALL. SO THEY ARE NOT BEING REPLACED AT OUR RISK TO INJURY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2008 GMC SIERRA 1500. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, SMOKE EMERGED FROM THE VENTS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO A SHOULDER LANE WHERE THE PASSENGER SIDE BEGAN TO CATCH FIRE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WIRES WERE VISIBLE PRIOR TO THE FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY DEEMED THE VEHICLE DESTROYED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V383000 (AIR BAGS). THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OPENED A CASE FOR THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 118,000.

"TAKATA RECALL". CALLED A CERTIFIED GMC DEALER FOR AIRBAG REMEDY AND THEY SAID GM HAS NOT MADE ANY REPAIR PARTS AVAILABLE. I NEED TO WAIT UNTIL THEY DO...WHICH MAY BE NEVER?!?!?
DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED ABOVE THE DRIVERS INSTRUMENT DISPLAY, AROUND SPEAKER AND NOW HAS CRACKED AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WITH THE DASHBOARD BEING LOOSE. IF THE AIR BAG IS EVER TO DEPLOY IT WILL MORE THAN LIKELY HURT MY PASSENGER WHICH COULD BE MY WIFE, MY CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN. THIS IS RIDICULOUS, THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF GMC VEHICLES HAS THIS SAME ISSUE !!!!!
