There are 2 owner-reported lighting complaints for the 2006 GMC Yukonin NHTSA's database. These are unverified consumer reports and may not reflect confirmed defects.
The Brake lines are not coded so the brake line rusted and when brakes got applied they burst causing accidents for no pressure and can’t stop. Air bags light stays on and will not go out. I have put new lights bulbs in truck but lights are still dim.
THE UPPER BRAKE INDICATOR LIGHT (BAR) ON TOP OF THE REAR LIFT GATE DOOR MALFUNCTIONED. I DID NOT REALIZE THAT IT HAD NOT BEEN WORKING OR FOR HOW LONG. OBVIOUSLY THIS WAS A DANGEROUS SITUATION. THE DEALER CLAIMS IT "BURNED OUT" AFTER DISCOVERING IT DURING INSPECTION OF ANOTHER PROBLEM, HOWEVER, NONE OF MY OTHER VEHICLES HAVE EVER NEEDED REPLACEMENTS FOR THESE LED LIGHTS. AFTER PAYING $300, FOR A NEW BRAKE LIGHT BAR IT WORKED. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT IT SHORTED OUT OR MAY HAVE HAD WIRES THAT BECAME CORRODED. JUST ONE OF A MULTITUDE OF CONTINUING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE. *JS
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
