DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY BACK WINDOW SHATTERED INTO A MILLION LITTLE PIECES.
WE WERE NOTIFIED, AS WE WERE GETTING SERVICE DONE ON OUR VEHICLE, THAT THERE WAS AN AIRBAG RECALL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. WE WERE NEVER INFORMED ABOUT ANY IMPENDING RECALL. WE THEN CONTACTED OUR DEALER, AND WE WERE TOLD THAT AS OF MAY 2016, GMC DID NOT YET HAVE A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. NO FURTHER WORD ON ANY CORRECTIVE ACTION TO DATE.
WE WERE AT A STOP AND WE STARTED TO GO AND TURN THE TRUCK HESITATED AND DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WE RESTARTED THE TRUCK BACK UP AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND IT HESITATED WHEN WE STARTED TO GO AGAIN AND IT WAS OVER EXCELERATING AND TOOK A WHILE TO CHANGE FROM 1ST GEAR TO 2ND GEAR
WE BOUGHT THIS YUKON AND THERE IS A AIRBAG RECALL AND I CALLED TO MAKE APPT AT THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY CAN'T FIX IT UNTIL GMC SAID IT'S OK BECAUSE AND TO KEEP DRIVING IT. THIS IS NOT RIGHT I HAVE A YOUNG SON AND FAMILY THAT I DRIVE IT EVERYDAY THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING THE VEHICLE. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CALL ME OR EMAIL ME WHAT TO DO.. MY 2008 YUKON HAS HAD AN ELECTRICAL MYSTERY FOR AWHILE NOW. WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOORS THE "CHIME" WILL BE VERY FAINT AND THEN THE NEXT TIME IT'S VERY LOUD. THE CLOCK RESETS LIKE THE BATTERY HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED AFTER SHUTTING THE CAR OFF. THE DOOR LOCKS WILL LOCK AND UNLOCK BY THEMSELVES WILL I'M DRIVING. I CAN TURN THE CAR OFF AFTER DRIVING IT AND IT WILL BE COMPLETELY DEAD. IT WONT DO ANYTHING. YOU CAN'T LOCK THE DOORS, TURN ON THE RADIO, START THE CAR OR ANYTHING. ALMOST LIKE IT DOESNT HAVE A BATTERY AT ALL. WAIT 10 MINUTES OR SO AND SLAM A FEW DOORS AND IT STARTS RIGHT UP. WE'VE REPLACED BATTERIES, ALTERNATORS, FUSES AND TAKEN IT TO MECHANICS WITH NO LUCK. AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY IT WILL WORK FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND THEN IT WILL DO IT AGAIN. THERE HAS TO BE A SHORT SOMEWHERE AND AFTER GOOGLING IT THERE ARE 1000 OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. WE HAD PROBLEMS SINCE WE PURCHASED THE CAR IN 2017 AND I'M POSITIVE THE OWNER BEFORE ME HAD THE SAME ISSUES.
ENGINE FAILURE AT 64,000 MILES. DROVE VEHICLE FROM HOME AND THEN VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY BEGAN SHAKING VIOLENTLY. TRUCK DRIVING FINE UP UNTIL THAT POINT. NO WARNING SIGNS. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BEFOREHAND. VEHICLE NOW AT GMC DEALERSHIP AND NEEDS NEW ENGINE FOR UP TO $10,000. GMC IS NOT COVERING THE EXPENSE. GAVE $2,000 TOWARDS THE REPAIR. VEHICLE PAST WARRANTY PERIOD. ENGINE SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 64,000 MILES. REGULARLY MAINTAINED.

THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE CHROME IS PEELING OFF, AND IT CUT MY WIFE'S HAND TODAY. THERE ARE 3 OF THE 4 DOORS THAT HAVE IT PEELING, AND I AM WORRIED ONE OF MY CHILDREN WILL CUT THERE FINGERS ALSO.
I LOVE MY TRUCK. THE ONLY THING THAT IS UNSATISFYING IS MY CRACKED DASH FROM THE LEFT SIDE TO THE RIGHT OF THE TRUCK. THE AIR BAG LIGHT FLASHES DUE TO THE SIDES WALL AND DASH BOARD AIR BAG IS COMING OUT.I WOULD HATE TO HIT A SQUIRREL AND IT THE AIR BAG POPS. I HAVE ONE WINDOW THAT REFUSES TO COME DOWN AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, THE DANG CRUISE CONTROL ONLY SETS AFTER 80MPH. I HVE TO PRAY EVERYDAY NOT TO GET A SPEEDING TICKET IN LOW SPEEDING AREAS AND THE DASH BOARD WITH THE SHARP EDGES WILL NOT CAUSE MORE INJURIES THAN THE AIRBAG IF I'M EVER IN AN ACCIDENT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON XL 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED MIXED SIGNALS AND VARIOUS WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC (AAMCO TRANSMISSION IN GLENDALE, CA, 818-247-8024) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE COMPUTER SYSTEM WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED BY THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (CAMILO REAL CHEVROLET IN LOS ANGELES, CA, 323-2643-050) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 250,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V383000 (AIR BAGS). THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000. I WAS REAR ENDED AT APPROXIMATELY 8:00 AM THIS MORNING. BOTH MY VEHICLE AND THE TRUCK THAT HIT ME LIKELY SUFFERED DAMAGE THAT WILL RESULT IN THEM BEING TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANIES. I HAVE A MAJOR CONCERN ABOUT MY AIRBAGS NOT DEPLOYING. I HAVE NOT YET READ THE POLICE REPORT, BUT THE DODGE RAM TRUCK THAT HIT ME WHILE I WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT HIT MY YUKON WITH GREAT FORCE. TAKATA RECALL, I WAS MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN WITH THE LIGHT WHEN I WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. I HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY, (NOT AT FAUGHT) WAS THE POLICE REPORT. THERE WHERE 3 VEHICLES INVOLVED. TRUCK (1) HIT CAR (2) AND I WAS CAR 3.WAS HIT AT RIGHT FENDER AND DOOR POST AND DOWN THE WHOLE RIGHT SIDE OF CAR. CRACKED WINDSHIELD . FRONT BUMPER COVER AND HOOD WHERE DAMAGED ALONG WITH RIGHT FENDER, RT. PASSENGER DORE, RT. PASSENGER DOOR, RT QUARTER PANEL AND REAR BUMPER COVER.. I ALSO WAS INJURED IN ACCIDENT. HAD PINCHED NERVES BELOW NECK AND HAD 4-5 MONTHS OF THERAPY.
WHEN THE TRUCK GOES FROM THE AUTO STOP TO ENGINE POWER THE CLUCH IN THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T ENGAGE FULL SHUTTING THE TRUCK OFF WHEN TRYING TO PULL OUT FROM A STOP. THE TRUCK HAS SHUT OFF SEVERAL TIMES WHEN TRYING TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT WITH MY 5 SMALL CHILDREN ON BOARD. OTHER TIMES IT WILL ONLY PARTIALLY ENGAGED LEAVING YOU WITH ALMOST NO POWER TO PULL OUT IN TRAFFIC. MY TRUCK IS STILL UNDER 100000 MILES BUT OVER THE 5 YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD.
"TAKATA RECALL". BEEN TRYING TO GET AIR BAGS REPLACED BUT DEALERSHIPS KEEP SAYING THEY CANT GET THEM IN
JUST BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THE RECALL ON THE GMC SILVERADOS. I HAVE BEEN HAVING THE SAME ISSUE ON MY YUKON DENALI. I PURCHASED A CAR IN DECEMBER OF 2016. AND I'VE HAD AT LEAST EIGHT OR MORE INCIDENTS. OF THE CAR EITHER NOT STARTING OR SHUTTING OFF FOR 3 TO 5 SECONDS AT ABOUT A 15 MILE AN HOUR TURN. I FEEL AS THOUGH MY VEHICLE COULD BE AFFECTED THE SAME WAY AS THESE ARE. I WOULD LIKE A REMEDY TO WHY MY CAR SHUTS OFF DURING A LOW-RPM TURN. WHEN THE CAR COMES BACK ON ALL GAUGE LIGHTS COME ON FOR A BRIEF SECOND. AND THE THERMOSTAT GOES UP A LITTLE BIT BECAUSE THE FAN HAD SHUT OFF FOR A MINOR SECOND.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS SPLITTING DUE TO THE MALFUNCTION OF THE AIR BAG. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V381000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PART NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,043. DASH IS CRACKED AT THE CORNER OF THE AIRBAG AND IN FRONT OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON. WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CHASSIS ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V614000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE ]MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 160,000.
TAKATA RECALL...ELECTRICAL IS ALWAYS MESSING UP. ALWAYS FUEL EMMISIONS SYSTEM LIGHT, WHICH THEN MESSES UP THE RADIO THAT SHUTS OFF AND ON AND GETS WARM, SIGNALS THEN DO NOT CLICK. THE STRUTS AND SHOCKS GIVE ME PROBLEMS. I HAVE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY FIXING ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER. THIS SUV IS MY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION WITH MY FAMILY OF 8. I FEEL IT IS UNSAFE TO BE DRIVING. THE TRUCK IS AFFECTED WITH DRIVING IN A STREET, HIGHWAY OR MAKING A TURN.
HAVE A 2008 GMC YUKON XL 1500 THAT WAS BOUGHT BRAND NEW FORM DEALERSHIP. OVER THE YEARS OF OWNERSHIP HAVE HEARD A POPPING OR SNAPPING NOISE ON OCCASIONS IN THE FRONT DASH PANEL. THEN TWO WEEKS AGO HEARD IT AGAIN THEN WITNESSED THE DASH CRACK OPEN ON THE TOP LEFT SIDE WHICH HAS CAUSED THE DASH PANEL TO WIGGLE FREE AND ALSO CRACKED AT THE MOUNTING POINT. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON A MAJOR CITY STREET. THOUGHT THE DASH WAS GOING TO SHATTER FROM THE NOISE IT MADE. HAD TO PULL OVER THANK GOD IT DID NOT COME OUT WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSE ME TO WRECK. HAVE SEEN THIS REPORTED OVER AND OVER WITH THESE DASH PANELS. ALSO IT REPORTED ON THE NEWS OVER THE INTERNET FROM WMCACTIONNEWS5.COM. THESE NEED TO BE RECALLED AND REPLACED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY HURT OR WORSE. THE SAD PART OF IT ALL IS THE DEALERSHIPS WANT OVER $1000.00 JUST TO REPLACE A PART THAT THEY KNOW FAILS AND THAT THEY HAVE STRUCTURAL ISSUES WITH AND OVER 100 PLUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT ACROSS AMERICA ALONE.
THE CAR FLASHES REDUCED ENGINE POWER, STABILITRACK OFF AND THE CAR CAN BARELY GO 30 MPH. THE ENGINE RUNS VERY ROUGH WHEN IT IS DOING THIS ALSO. MY CODE SCANNER DISPLAYS CODE 641 WHICH IS OPEN 5VOLT REFERENCE ON BANK 1. IT DOES THIS MORE WHEN THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS WARMER OR THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING STILL WHILE RUNNING. ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC CAUSING NEAR MISSES AND OTHER TIMES WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. JUST YESTERDAY IT DID IT 20 TIMES IN A FOUR MILE STRETCH. THIS CAR IS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE.
CPSC:I HAVE A 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI WITH 80K MILES. ALL 4 EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ARE BROKEN BECAUSE OF A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT WHICH HAS BEEN RECALLED IN PREVIOUS YEARS. THE DOORS WILL CLOSE AND LOCK THE PASSENGERS IN THE CAR ON OCCASION AND COULD CAUSE A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD IN AN EMERGENCY. ALSO THE INTERIOR OF EACH DOOR HANDLE IS COATED WITH A "CHROME" SURFACE COVERING THAT PEELS BACK AND HAS INCREDIBLY SHARP EDGES WHICH HAVE CUT ALL 5 OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS, THIS IS ALSO A KNOWN ISSUE WITH DENALI'S AND HAS BEEN RECALLED IN THE PAST. *BF
MY VEHICLE EXPERIENCED AN ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE FUEL PUMP FLOW CONTROL MODULE, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL WHILE I WAS TRAVELING AROUND 70 MPH ON THE FREEWAY. I LOST ENGINE POWER, POWER BRAKING, AND POWER STEERING. I NEARLY HAD AN ACCIDENT WHEN PULLING OFF TO THE SHOULDER AND BRAKING. I AM AWARE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL OF THE PART THAT FAILED IN GM BULLETIN 14515B. GM HOWEVER INFORMED ME THAT MY VIN WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. THE DEFECT IN MY FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY MY GMC AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER. I AM LOOKING FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF THE $550 DOLLARS I PAID TO SEWELL SERVICE TO REPLACE THIS COMPONENT AS IT SURELY SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED IN THE RECALL.

THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON XL. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS SWERVING TOWARDS HER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO INCREASE SPEED AND AVOID A COLLISION; HOWEVER, THE OTHER VEHICLE LOST CONTROL AND CRASHED INTO THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE FRONT FRAME, FRONT PASSENGER SIDE, AND REAR FRAME OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WERE DAMAGED. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS AND REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A MECHANIC FRIEND WHO CONFIRMED THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CASE HAD CLOSED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.

HAVE A RECALL ON THE PASSENGER TAKATA AIRBAG FOR OVER A YEAR. DEALERSHIP INDICATES THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PART AND WILL NOT HAVE A REPLACEMENT PART. GM IS STATING IT'S SAFE TO DRIVE, EVEN THOUGH 20 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED RELATED TO THE TAKATA AIRBAG SYSTEM. MANUFACTURERS SHOULD HAVE AN OBLIGATION ON KEEPING THEIR CUSTOMERS SAFE. ALSO NO RESPONSE FROM GM ON THE DEPRECIATION OF THE VEHICLES VALUE DUE TO THIS DANGEROUS DEFECT.

WE HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR 4 MONTHS. THERE IS A CRACK BEGINNING OVER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE (THE BEGINNINGS ARE THERE AS WELL AS BEING ABLE TO SEE THE CRACK UNDER THE SURFACE OF THE DASHBOARD) AND ON THE DASHBOARD INTO THE AIRBAG COMPARTMENT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I BOUGHT THIS SUV FROM LEGENDS AUTO SALE. AFTER I BOUGHT IT, I NOTICE THE ENGINE BAY WAS REAL RUSTY LIKE ITS BEEN IN WATER OR DRIVEN OVER LOTS OF WATER. I DIDNT GET A CAR FAX AT TIME OF PURCHASES BUT DID CAR FAX MYSELF , AND IT APPEARED THAT VEHICLE IS FROM NEW ORLEANS. WITH ALL THE DIRT AND GRIM COMING OUT OF VEHICLE ITS DIFFENTLY FROM NEW ORLEANS. SO FAR I REPLACED NEW PADS AND ROTORS, MASTER CYLINDER, BRAKE SWITCH, NEW SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES. THE PROBLEM OCCURRING NOW IS THAT MY TRAC LIGHT AND ABS LIGHT WILL COME ON AFTER HALF HOUR OF DRIVING AND CAR SEIZES UP AND I'M UNABLE TO ACCELERATE. I WOULD HAVE TO SHUT OFF ENGINE AND LET REST FOR HALF HOUR TO AN HOUR BEFORE LIGHTS GOES AWAY AND I'M ABLE TO MOVE AGAIN. I'M NOT SURE BUT IT MIGHT BE DUE TO IT BEING IN THE FLOOD THUS CAUSING CORROSION AND RUSTING IN ALL PARTS OF VEHICLE. I DON'T HAVE DOCUMENTS ON ME AT THIS TIME AS I MISPLACED IT BUT CAN GET IT AGAIN AND UPLOAD IMAGE.
TAKATA RECALL IT HAS BEEN SIX MONTHS SINCE THIS RECALL WAS ISSUED. THIS YUKON HAS BEEN KEPT AND DRIVEN FOR SEVERAL YEARS IN THE HOT/HUMID CONDITIONS INDICATED IN THE RECALL. I DO NOT FEEL IT IS SAFE, OR THAT THE AIRBAGS ARE TRUSTWORTHY AND THE DEALER CANNOT/WILL NOT REPAIR IT AND HAS NO ESTIMATED DATE TO EXPECT A SOLUTION. WE ARE NOW ENTERING WINTER, WHICH IS THE MOST DANGEROUS TIME TO DRIVE WHERE I LIVE. THERE ARE FAR MORE ACCIDENTS, AND IN TURN FAR MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE AIRBAGS TO FAIL AND CAUSE INJURIES THAT WOULD NOT OCCUR IF THE RECALL HAD BEEN RESOLVED.
2008 YUKON 5 CRACKS ACROSS THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD WITHIN 30 DAYS, 3 CRACKS HAVE FORMED IN 72 HOURS. ONE CRACK APPEARED WHILE I WAS AT WORK, IN THE SPAN OF 3 HOURS. THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN REGULARLY MAINTAINED AND KEPT IN A GARAGE FOR MAJORITY OF ITS LIFE. THE CRACKS ARE FORMING SO FAST THAT PIECES WILL BEGIN SHATTERING AND FALLING INSIDE. TWO CRACKS HAVE FORMED NEXT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, THAT HAS TAKATA INFLATORS- EXCITING TIMES! MY DEALERSHIP HAS INFORMED ME THAT GMC WILL NOT COMPENSATE OR ASSIST IN REMEDYING THIS ISSUE- BUT THE DEALER WILL BE HAPPY TO REPLACE THE DASH FOR $1300.00.
MY BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/L ALENZA TIRES ARE EXTREMELY DRY ROTTED. SO BAD THAT THE SIDEWALL CRACKED BAD ENOUGH TO LEAK AIR. TIRES STILL HAVE LOTS OF TREAD LEFT.

THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND WAS DRIVEN HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.
THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE POSSIBLY DAMAGING THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. CAME OUT ONE MORNING AND IT WAS CRACKED. HAD A FRIEND WHO HAD A BRAND NEW DENALI AND IT HAPPENED TO HIS IN LESS THAN 1 YEAR FROM PURCHASE.
SEVERE VIBRATION ISSUE. STARTED AT ABOUT 65 MPH AND LET OFF ABOUT 74. AT IT'S PEAK, ABOUT SAME AS HOLDING A JACK HAMMER INSTEAD OF A STEERING WHEEL.. DEALERS ARE BLAMING TIRES, ONE IDIOT TOLD ME VIBRATION WAS NORMAL. IT IS NOT. THE SOUND SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM PASSENGER REAR QUARTER AREA. THREE DEALERS CANNOT DIAGNOSE. IT WAS A FAILING U-JOINT ON THE REAR OF THE MAIN DRIVESHAFT. MINE FAILED I LOST THE YOKE ASSEMBLY AND THE DRIVESHAFT, AND IF GOING QUICKER - WOULD HAVE LIKELY PUNCTURED THE GAS TANK. LIKELY RESULTING IN A FIREBALL.

THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN LOUISIANA AND HAS SPENT MUCH OF ITS LIFE THERE - LOUISIANA IS CONSIDERED A CRITICAL, FIRST PRIORITY AREA UNDER YOU RECALL. I NOW UNDERSTAND THAT GM HAS SUBMITTED A THIRD REQUEST FOR WAIVER - PLEASE DENY AND REQUIRE GM TO FOLLOW YOUR ORDER.
