THE SEAT HEATER IN THE REAR RIGHT SEAT OVERHEATED AND CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE MY 10 YR. OLD CHILD WAS SEATED IN IT. WE WERE IN MOTION AT THE TIME ON THE INTERSTATE. I BELIEVE THE HEAT MECHANISM FAILED AND OVERHEATED AND WOULD NOT SHUT OFF CAUSING THE CUSHION TO CATCH ON FIRE. MY INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER IT (I DID GET A ESTIMATE TO FIX COVER AND CUSHION) AND THEY SUGGESTED GM SHOULD INVESTIGATE AND FIX THE SEAT DUE TO A MAJOR DEFECT. GM WAS NO HELP AND WANTED TO CHARGE ME $800 TO FIX OR TURN IT INTO INSURANCE. THEY ACTED LIKE THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE AND I CAUSED IT SOMEHOW.
TAKATA RECALL -- COMPLAINT: GENERAL MOTORS HAS FAILED TO OFFER A SCHEDULE, PARTS AND A PROCEDURE TO REPAIR PASSENGER SIDE TAKATA AIR BAG PROBLEM AFTER 6 YEARS! PLEASE HELP?
THE PLASTIC DASH IS CRACKED NEXT TO THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. ACCORDING TO THE INTERNET THERE ARE MANY AND GM WILL NOT RECALL THEM. DON'T KNOW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO THE PASSENGER IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED WITH THE PLASTIC DASH CRACKED AROUND IT.
MUTIPLE REDISTRIBUTING OF VECHICLE BY FRAMED POLICE RETALIATION AND TERRIFFS CONTROLING SIGNAL AND CUMMUNICATIONS THROUGH THE NEGLIGENT USE OF PARTS FROM MY TRUCKS BUILD BASED OFF OF SALES MEN CLAIMING TO PROTECT THE FINANCING DEPARTMENTS AND TRANSFER OF TITLES OF INCORPORATED DEALS DEALERS RIGHTS TO INVESTIGATING HIGH CACULATORY VARIABLES
TAKATA RECALL. THE AIR BAGS IN THE VEHICLE ARE DANGEROUS AND GM STILL HAS NOT REPLACED THEM
THE VEHICLE DASH BOARD HAS A CRACK RIGHT NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG, ALSO A CRACK TOWARDS THE TOP OF THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CRACK APPEARS TO HAVE COMPROMISED THE DASHBOARD ALL THE WAY TO THE PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG.
THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED AT THE CORNER OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THIS CRACKED HAS APPEARED TO CAUSE THE MIDDLE SECTION OF THE DASH TO SAG. I'M AFRAID THAT IF THE AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED, THE CONDITION OF THE DASH WILL CAUSE UNNECESSARY INJURY. THIS EXACT PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE AMONG THIS MODEL.
TAKATA RECALL HAVE NOT GOTTEN THEM REPLACED AS OF NOV--CALLED TWICE
DASH BOARD UNEXPECTEDLY CRACKED AT THE EXACT SAME SPOTS ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE. THE LOCATION IS OVER THE AIRBAGS WHICH COULD POSSIBLY TURN THE DASH BOARD INTO SHRAPNEL IF MY FAMILY AND I WERE TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. GMC SAID THERE IS NO RECALL AND THAT THEY WILL NOT REPLACE IT.
CRACKED DASHBOARD THAT MAY IMPACT AIRBAGS. THIS POSES A COMMUNITY HAZARD TO THOSE DRIVING.
"TAKATA RECALL" CONTACTED GM DEALER IN BATON ROUGE LOUISIANA AND WAS TOLD THERE ARE NO FIXES TO THIS RECALL. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO ENSURE MY EMPLOYEES SAFETY WHILE OPERATING THIS VEHICLE
I AM BEING TOLD THAT UNTIL GM FINDS A SOLUTION, THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO. MY CLEAR CONCERN IS THAT I CARRY MY 3 CHILDREN IN THIS CAR. I BOUGHT A BIGGER VEHICLE FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY AND NOW I AM STUCK WITH A CAR WITH FAULTY AIRBAGS. I HOPE THAT GM DOES NOT WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE HAS A DEATH DUE TO FAULTY AIRBAGS, I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT IT WILL BE FAR MORE EXPENSE.
TAKATA RECALL- I AM STULL WAITING FOR THE REPAIR ON MY AIRBAGS. I HAVENT BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND SURELY DONT WANT TO GET INJURED WITH THE FAULTY AIRBAGS!!!!
I CONTINUE ASKING FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THESE AIRBAGS AND THE DEALERSHIP CONTINUES TO CLAIM THAT THE FIX IS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL - GM HAS FAILED TO PROVIDE A TIMELY REPLACEMENT.
RECEIVED A LETTER OF RECALL OF THE AIRBAG IN MY VECHILE THAT CARRIERS A SMALL BABY AND THIS IS UNEXSECEPTABLE. I EXPECT MY VECHILE TO BE SAFE.
TAKATA RECALL: AIRBAG RECALL AS OF MAY 2016. I HAVE YET TO BE CONTACTED ABOUT A FIX. DEALER SERVICE CENTER DOES NOT THINK THERE IS A RECALL ALTHOUGH I HAVE CHECKED ALL LEGITIMATE SITES AND INDEED THERE IS. I WOULD LIKE THIS FIXED ASAP AS THIS AIRBAG ISSUE IS ESPECIALLY VOLATILE IN HOT AND HUMID WEATHER WHICH IS THE ONLY WEATHER WHERE I LIVE!

DASHBOARD HAS TWO CREAKS AT PASSAGE AIR BAG. VEHICLE ALSO HAS TAKATA RECALL WITH NO RESOLUTION. I AM CONCERNED DASH MAY INJURE PASSAGE IF AIR BAG INFLATES. YUKON ALWAYS GARAGED, MILEAGE 38,000.
TAKATA RECALL - PRODUCT NOT AVAILABLE. DASHBOARD CRACKING IN MULTIPLE PLACES AROUND AIRBAG WITH NORMAL USE AND SUN SHADE USED. GMC REFUSES TO REPAR.
2011 GMC YUKON DENALI HAS 2 CRACKS ON THE DASHBOARD POSING A SAFETY CONCERN. ONE CRACK IS AT THE CORNER OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND THE OTHER IN FRONT OF THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS IS AN OBVIOUS DEFECT THAT HAS YET TO BE ADDRESSED BY THE NHTSA OR GMC. THE CONCERN IS AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND PIECES OF THE CRACKED DASH BECOMING PROJECTILES.
THE DASH IS CRACKING IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS. IT HAS A LARGE CRACK ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND ALSO AROUND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG.
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 GMC YUKON. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO STOP AT A STOP SIGN, THE VEHICLE REAR-ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A HEAD INJURY AND HAD TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVABLE AND THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO HIS HOME ADDRESS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

DASHBOARD CRACKED
WE PURCHASED OUR VEHICLE SEPTEMBER 2017 AND DIDN'T NOTICE THE CRACKS UNTIL AFTER WE PURCHASED. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING TO ME SEEING THE POTENTIAL RECALL OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS AND AN OBVIOUS DEFECT HAVING TO DO WITH THE CRACKS FOUND ON MY DASH. ONE CRACK IS OVER THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WHERE MY 14 YEAR OLD SON USUALLY RIDES AND THE OTHER OVER THE STEERING WHEEL. DOES IT REALLY TAKE SOMEONE BEING SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED BEFORE SOMETHING IS DONE?
CRACKED DASHBOARD. POSSIBLE INJURY OR DEATH RESULTING FROM DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAGS WITH A CRACKED DASHBOARD. THERE IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM AS INDICATED BY THE NUMBER OF INTERNET COMPLAINTS AND NEWS RELATED STORIES.
DASH CRACKED OVER INSTRUMENT PANEL AN ABOVE AIR BAG...TRUCK ONLY HAS 54000 MILES AN HAS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF...THESE ARE NOT SMALL CRACKS...RUNS FROM DEFROST VENT TO ALMOST TOP OF DASH IN 2 PLACES...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 GMC YUKON. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED AND A LOUD POPPING AND KNOCKING NOISE WAS HEARD. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE LIFTERS IN THE ENGINE WERE DAMAGED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 177,199.

MY 2011 GMC YUKON XL DENALI, DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED OUT OF NOWHERE I GOT IN IT ONE DAY AND IT WAS THERE I NOTICED IT, UP THE DRIVER SIDE HUMP ON THE DASHBOARD, AND BESIDE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG, THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD WHAT IF I GET INTO A WRECK PIECES OF DASHBOARD WOULD GO FLYING EVERYWHERE, I HAVE EVEN CONTACTED GMC ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND THEY DON'T CARE, I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO GLUE THE DASH BACK TOGETHER BUT IT'S STILL SPREADING, THE MORE I DRIVE THE VEHICLE THE MORE IT SPREADS.
DASH IS CRACKED NEAR PASSENGER AIR BAG AND OBOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THIS DASH HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED ONE TIME BY GM FOR THE SAME PROBLEM.
THERE IS A DEFINITIVE, UNPROVOKED CRACK THAT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2011 YUKON DENALI WHEN IT WAS STATIONARY IN MY SECURE GARAGE. THE ENTIRE TOP PANEL NOW SHAKES AND VIBRATES AS A RESULT OF THIS CRACK. I TRAVEL WITH TWO SMALL CHILDREN WITH ME ON A DAILY BASIS, AND AM GROSSLY CONCERNED THAT AS THE CRACK CONTINUES TO GROW LARGER, SO DOES THE POSSIBILITY THAT SHOULD MY AIRBAGS DEPLOY IN THE CASE OF AN ACCIDENT, ONE OF MY SMALL CHILDREN OR MYSELF WILL BE FURTHER INJURED BY THE BROKEN PLASTIC ON THE DASHBOARD. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS INDEED A SAFETY ISSUE.
DASH WAS MAKING A TERRIBLE SQUEAKING NOISE AND THEN ONE DAY IT STOPPED. CHECKED THE DASH OVER TO FIND 2 CRACKS, ONE BY THE PASSNAGER SIDE AIR BAG AND ANOTHER ON THE DRIVE SIDE ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. I CONTACTED GM SINCE WE WERE OUTSIDE THE WARRANTY AND THEY PRETTY MUCH SAID SUCK IT UP NOT OUR PROBLEM. HOW HAS THIS NOT BEEN RECALLED OR ADDRESSED WITH SO MANY COMPLAINTS???!!!
THE DASHBOARD AROUND THE AIRBAG IS CRACKED. THE DASHBOARD IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER IS CRACKED IN 2 PLACES. IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE DASHBOARD COULD BECOME A PROJECTILE DUE TO THE NUMEROUS CRACKS.
MY YUKON DASH IS CRACKED IN 2 PLACES. THE DASH IS FLAPPING DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THE SPEAKER. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT HAVING AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYING AND SENDING SHARDS OF PLASTIC EVERYWHERE. I HAVE YOUNG GRANDCHILDREN. THIS IS NOT A CHEAP VEHICLE. WE BOUGHT THE BEST. I AM SHOCKED THIS IS NOT A RECALL. I AM VERY CONCERNED.
THERE IS A LARGE CRACK IN THE DASHBOARD. THE CRACK IS LOCATED OVER THE AREA OVER THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG WHICH IS A SAFETY CONCERN. IF THE AIR BAG WOULD DEPLOY, BROKEN PIECES OF PLASTIC COULD HARM THE DRIVER AS THE SAFETY FEATURES ARE WEAKENED. CRACK OCCURRED WHEN VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A GARAGE. NO ONE , NOTHING CAUSED THE DASHBOARD TO CRACK, IT IS A DEFECT.
VALVE LIFTERS NEED REPLACED. RESEARCHED AND THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE SEVERAL PEOPLE ARE HAVING WITH THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE. REPAIR SHOP ALSO SAID A COMMON REPAIR FOR THIS MODEL.
MY DASH KEEPS CRACKING ONE OF WHICH IS NEXT TO AIR BAG! 80K MILES
MY DASHBOARD BEGAN TO CRACK AROUND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. THE CRACKING WAS UNPROVOKED. THE CAR IS CLEAN, AND ONLY HAS 66K MILES ON IT. IN ADDITION, ONE OF THE CLIPS RECEPTICALS ON THE DASHBOARD THAT THE UPPER TRIM PANEL CONNECTS TO BROKE (IN THE CENTER PART OF THE DASHBOARD). NO IN ADDITION TO THE LARGE CRACK, THE DASH BOARD NOW RATTLES. I DO NOT HAVE PICTURES HANDY DURING THE TIME OF THIS SUBMITTER BUT I CAN PROVIDE THEM. 100'S OF OTHER HAVE ALSO HAD THIS PROBLEM, THERE ARE FACEBOOK PAGES AND VARIOUS PERTITIONS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND CONFIRMED THE DEALER'S INFORMATION. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE AIR BAGS IN MAY OF 2017. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN INFORMATION WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED ALL OVER. FLAPS AND MAKES HORRIBLE SOUNDS WHEN DRIVING. VERY DISTRACTING AND UGLY.
CRACKED DASH - IN THE EVENT OF AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT, BROKEN PIECES OF THE PLASTIC DASH WILL BECOME PROJECTILES IN THE PASSENGER AREA.
" DASHBOARD CRACKED" ON APRIL 6TH I GOT INTO MY CAR AND SAW THAT THERE WAS A HUGE CRACK IN MY DASHBOARD RIGHT ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. I HAVE REACHED OUT TO GM ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THEY ARE UNWILLING TO FIX THE PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH MY CAR IS UNDER GM CERTIFIED BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. I AM AFRAID THAT IF THERE IS A CAR ACCIDENT THEN PARTS OF THIS DASHBOARD THAT IS CRACKED WILL COME OFF AND INJURY WHOEVER IS IN THE CAR.
