MY TAIL LIGHT IS OUT ONLY ON THE BRAKE PART THE DEALERS SAID I HAVE TO REPLACE THE HOLE LIGHT IVE HAD MY CAR NO MORE THAN 2 YEARS RUNNING WELL JUST THE LIGHT PROBLEM THE DEALER SAID IT HAPPENS ALOT BUT IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY THEY WANT TO CHARGE 600 DLLS I THINK THEY SHOULD FIX THEIR ISSUE AN NOT HAVE PEOPLE SPENDING THIS MUCH FOR SOMETHING THEY KNOW THEY SHOULD FIX
I PURCHASED MY TRUCK FROM GILROY CHEVROLET IN SEPTEMBER 2019. THE WEEK WE BOUGHT IT MY HUSBAND HAD TO CHANGE THE BREAKS AS THEY NEEDED TO BE CHANGED. SHORTLY AFTER WITHIN A WEEK FROM THAT WE STARTED HEARING A POPPING SOUND FROM THE LEFT FRONT PART OF THE TRUCK. SOMEWHERE NEAR THE AXEL OR TIRE BARING. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND STATED THEY HAD SOLD ME A CAR WITH NO BREAKS AND WITH THIS MYSTERIOUS NOISE. THEY DIAGNOSED THE CAR, CHARGED ME AND DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM I DIDN'T EVEN GET REIMBURSED OR AN APOLOGY FOR BEING SOLD A CAR THAT HAD NO BREAKS. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO A NEW DEALER FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSIS. WHERE THEY ARE ASKING ME TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC FEE AND DEDUCTIBLE I FEEL THE ORIGINAL DEALER WHO SOLD ME THIS DEFECTIVE CAR SHOULD HAVE TO PAY SINCE I HAVE PAID THESE DUE ONCE ALREADY. ANY TIME THE STEERING WHEEL IS TURNED ALL THE WAY YOU FEEL AND HEAR THE POPPING NOISE.
BOTH REAR TAIL LIGHTS ARE OUT. THE REPLACEMENT FOR THESE ARE OVER 800.00 AND GM HAS KNOW ABOUT THIS FOR YEARS. PLEASE HELP, AS I CANNOT GET MY CAR INSPECTED WITH THE LIGHTS BEING OUT. *TR
INTERNAL CIRCUITRY OF PASSENGER TAIL LIGHT CRACKED IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS CAUSING THE LED'S THAT PROVIDE RUNNING AND STOP FUNCTIONS OF THE LIGHT TO FAIL. THE CAR WAS NOT WRECKED OR DAMAGED IN ANY WAY. APPEARS AS IF METAL FATIGUE FROM BUMPY ROADS PERHAPS CAUSES THE CIRCUITRY TO FAIL AT AT LEAST 2 WEAK POINTS IN THE METAL CIRCUIT. THE PROBLEM WAS POINTED OUT BY A TRAILING POLICEMAN WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, HE KINDLY NOTIFIED ME THAT THE ENTIRE LIGHT WAS OUT.
CAR ENGINE SHUT OFF WITH NO WARNING, I STARTED THE CAR, DROVE ABOUT 50 YARDS TO A STOP SIGN, STOPPED, STARTED TO PULL AWAY AND THE ENGINE COMPLETELY DIED. NO WARNING LIGHTS. I WAS HALFWAY INTO THE STREET. I PUT THE CAR INTO PARK AND WAS ABLE TO START IT AGAIN. THE CAR HAS ABOUT 37,000 MILES AND WAS SERVICED BY THE DEALER 11 DAYS PRIOR (ROUTINE SERVICE).
THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN DECEMBER USED. THE VEHICLE NOW HAS 62,000 MILES. VEHICLE WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT AFTER WORKING FINE THE DAY BEFORE. WENT TO USE AIR CONDITIONING AND IT WOULD ONLY BLOW HOT AIR. AFTER CHECKING ONLINE, AND WITH EXPERIENCES FROM OTHER OWNERS, THE AIR CONDITIONING FAILURES APPEARS TO BE A VERY COSTLY COMMON ISSUE BUT THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR THE DEFECTIVE PARTS. THE VEHICLE IS STILL IN FOR REPAIRS AT THIS TIME. ALTHOUGH THIS ISSUE WAS NOT SPECIFICALLY SAFETY RELATED IN MY SITUATION, THE POTENTIAL FOR SAFETY CONCERNS EXIST. HAD THE AC FAILED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING WITH CHILDREN OR ANIMALS INSIDE COULD BE FATAL.
LEFT REAR LED BRAKE/TAIL LIGHT WENT OUT AT APPROXIMATELY 43,000 MILES. IN DOING RESEARCH THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM IN GMC YUKON. IT SEEMS TO BE JUST AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRES AS MINE DID. THE COST TO REPLACE IS ANYWHERE AROUND $800.00. I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO GET IT REPLACED AS IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. RESEARCH ALSO SAYS THESE LED'S SHOULD BE LASTING MUCH LONGER THAN THEY ARE ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL. I FEEL WITH THE NUMBERS SO HIGH GMC REALLY NEEDS TO LOOK INTO A RECALL AND GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED OR HELP COMPENSATE SOME OF THE COST. ALSO, THIS PART IS NOT READILY AVAILABLE SO WE GO WEEKS WITH NO BRAKE OR TAIL LIGHT UNTIL IT CAN BE REPAIRED. THIS IS SO NOT SAFE!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 GMC YUKON. AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT OPERATE WHILE IN THE DRIVE OR REVERSE POSITIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO SHEEHAN BUICK GMC (2800 SEVERAL HWY, POMPANO BEACH, FL 33064) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 GMC YUKON. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V645000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REMEDY SHOULD INCLUDE REPLACING THE ENGINE VACUUM PUMP INSTEAD OF REPROGRAMMING THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE CONTACT'S CONCERNS. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 GMC YUKON. WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE JERKED AND ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE VACUUM PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A GMC DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO JIM TAYLOR CHEVROLET (139 GRIMSHAW ST, RAYVILLE, LA 71269, (318) 303-6475) WHERE A DRIVING TEST WAS PERFORMED; HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT REPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V645000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 45,000.
THE LED LIGHTS ON THE LEFT REAR TAIL LIGHT ARE DEFECTIVE. THEY FLICKER OR DO NOT WORK AT ALL. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 43,000 MILES. TO FIX THE ISSUE REQUIRES REPLACING THE ENTIRE TAIL LIGHT AT A COST OF MORE THAN $800. IT SHOULD BE A RECALL ON A DEFECTIVE PART.
VACUUM PUMP. ENGINE LIGHT ON. BRAKE LIGHT ON. DROVE HORRIBLE & COULD HARDLY STOP AT TIMES. CITY STREET
BRAKE LIGHTS & TORQUE CONVERTER 2016 YUKON DENALI. THE BRAKE LIGHT IS OUT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND IT IS WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF THE WARRANTY EXPIRING. THEY HAD TO ORDER THE PART BECAUSE THERE'S A NATIONAL BACKORDER FOR THE ASSEMBLY. SO CLEARLY I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE. DID SOME RESEARCH AND THIS IS APPARENTLY AN ONGOING PROBLEM. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN A HASSLE FROM THE START. I'M BEGINNING TO BELIEVE THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AS WELL. I HAD A BATTERY ISSUE THAT THE DEALERSHIP COULDN'T FIGURE OUT EVEN AFTER SHOWING THEM THE ONSTAR ALERT. ORIGINALLY I WAS TOLD ONSTAR WAS PROBABLY JUST SENDING IT AS A MILEAGE ALERT. TURNS OUT AFTER I INSISTED THEY PUT THE VEHICLE ON A MACHINE AND IT SHOWED THE BATTERY WAS INDEED FAULTY. MULTIPLE THINGS HAVE GONE OUT ON A VEHICLE WITH BARELY 30,000 MILES ON IT. THE TORQUE CONVERTER IS ALSO A MAJOR CONCERN BECAUSE IT 'SHED' METAL PIECES WITH THE CAR HAVING LESS THAN 20,000 MILES THEY ONLY DRAINED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THE BULLETIN TOLD THEM TO DO. HOW IS THIS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN? MY YUKON DROVE LIKE A LAWNMOWER VIBRATING AND HOPPING. THIS IS THE WORST VEHICLE I'VE EVER PURCHASED, AND WITH THE ISSUES THAT KEEP PILING UP IT LOOKS LIKE WE AREN'T ANYWHERE NEAR THE BOTTOM OF THE PROBLEMS.
BRAKE LIGHT/TURN SIGNAL FAIL WITH NO WARNING TO DRIVER. THE FAILURE REQUIRES REPLACEMENT OF THE ENTIRE COMPONENT. DEALER QUOTED $826 TO REPLACE ASSEMBLY. I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE HAVE A VERY HIGH FAILURE RATE. ALONG WITH THE LACK OF WARNING TO THE DRIVER THAT THEIR REAR BRAKE LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS ARE NOT WORKING THIS IS SERIOUS PROBLEM. THE FAILURE RATE IS SO HIGH THAT SEVERAL INDEPENDENTS ARE REPAIRING THEM
WHILE IN SLOW TRAFFIC, I PRESSED BRAKES TO STOP. THE BRAKE PEDDLE DID NOT COMPRESS DOWN, CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO ENTER THE HIGHWAY MEDIAN TO KEEP FROM STRIKING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. THE MEDIAN WAS WET AND MUDDY. OUR YUKON HAD TO BE PULLED FROM THE MEDIAN BY A GOOD SAMARITAN.
THE RIGHT SIDE TAIL LIGHT HAS STOPPED WORKING. IT'S GOING TO COST $850 TO REPLACE THE LIGHT. THIS VEHICLE ONLY HAS 42K MILES ON IT. THIS SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM WITH A $58K VEHICLE. RESEARCHING THE ISSUE SHOWS THAT THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM. SO MUCH SO THAT THERE IS NOT A TAIL LIGHT TO BE HAD FOR MY VEHICLE! THERE IS A SHORTAGE FROM ALL THAT HAVE WENT OUT.
BRAKE LIGHT STOPPED WORKING BUT IT CANT BE REPAIRED UNLESS YOU REPLACE THE ENTIRE LIGHT ASSEMBLY. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. SO MUCH SO, IT IS A 3 MONTH WAIT TO GET IT! NOT TO MENTION IT COSTS $500-800!! NOW I CANT EVEN DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY CONCERN OF SOMEONE REAR ENDING ME. GMC NEEDS TO RECALL THESE OR PAY THE 3 MONTH CAR RENTAL FEE.
AIR CONDITIONING - WE WERE TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP JULY 1ST 2019, AN AIR CONDITIONING HOSE HAS A CRACK IN IT, AND THUS THE REFRIGERANT HAS LEAKED OUT. A NEW HOSE WAS ORDERED. IT IS NOW AUGUST 13TH AND WE STILL DO NOT HAVE OUR VEHICLE BACK. THE DEALERSHIP HAS DOZENS OF VEHICLES THAT ARE IN NEED OF THIS FIX ( WHICH, WE ARE TOLD IS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY SINCE WE HAVE 50,000 MILES ON IT). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
SERVICE POWER STEERING DRIVE WITH CARE ALERT APPEARS ON MY DASH
LOW SPEEDS THE BRAKES FAIL , WHEN PRESSING ON BRAKES YOU GET A HARD BRAKE PEDAL WITH NO BRAKES .
REAR BRAKE LIGHT LED STRIP IS OUT. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 37K MILES ON IT. DEALERSHIP WILL NOT REPAIR IT BUT WANTS TO SELL A NEW BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR $750 EACH. IF YOU TAP ON THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY, IT COMES ON MOMENTARY AND GOES OUT AGAIN. BRAKE LIGHTS ON BOTH SIDE OF VEHICLE CONTINUE TO FLASH RAPIDLY, THERE HAS TO BE SOME TYPE O OFELECTRICAL PROBLEM TO CAUSE THIS ISSUE,
MY REAR TAIL LIGHTS (BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE) KEEP FLICKERING AND GO OUT INTERMITTENTLY. THEY ARE LED LIGHTS, NOT BULBS; THEREFORE, THEY CANT SIMPLY BE REPLACED WITHOUT INCURRING A COST OF $800+ PER LIGHT. THE DEALER CLAIMS THERE IS NO RECALL ON THE LIGHTS.
REAR BRAKE LIGHT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE WAS WORKING INTERMITTENTLY AND NOW WILL NOT WORK AT ALL. I WAS NOT IN AN ACCIDENT AND NO DAMAGE HAS OCCURED TO THE PART. IT JUST STOPPED WORKING. THIS IS AN LED AND IS NOT SUPPOSED TO GO OUT ACCORDING TO GM. GM IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUR AND WILL NOT FIX IT.
DRIVER SIDE REAR LED BRAKE LIGHT NO LONGER WORKS.
ANOTHER MESS WITH MY 2016 YUKON SLE. THE A/C CONDENSER WENT OUT AT JUST OVER 60K MILES -- $1600 TOTAL IN REPAIR COST. APPARENTLY THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND GM HAS ISSUED SPECIAL REFUNDS FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM IN PRIOR YEARS 2015 AND BEFORE -- BUT HAS NOT YET DONE SO WITH THE 2016 YEAR EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE SAME PART AND ISSUE. I AM PAYING TO GET THIS FIXED TODAY AND COUNTING ON THE SPECIAL REFUND IF NOT A RECALL.
LED TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY MALFUNCTION. UNKNOWN WHEN ISSUE STARTED, BUT LED LIGHTS SHOULD OUTLIVE USEFUL LIFE OF THE VEHICLE.

THE BRAKE LIGHTS IN THE 2016 GMC YUKON VEHICLE FAILED. THE DESIGN REQUIRES A WHOLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT. THE DEALER QUOTED $750 PER LIGHT. THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE WIDESPREAD AND CAUSED BY FAULTY LIGHT ASSEMBLY.

2016 GMC YUKON HAS ONLY 40K MILES, YET BRAKE LIGHTS ON REAR DRIVER SIDE ARE OUT. HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE RE:SAME ISSUE; COST TO REPAIR IS $650-$800. THIS SHOULDN'T BE AN ISSUE WITH THIS AGE OF THE VEHICLE. CONCERN IS THE PASSENGER SIDE WILL GO OUT NEXT AND COST ANOTHER $650-$800.
DEFECTIVE LED TAIL LIGHTS DO NOT WORK ALL THE TIME. HUGE SAFETY ISSUE FROM A 50,000$+ SUV. GM WILL NOT COVER REPAIR IF YOU GO OVER A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MILES. MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WITH THESE YUKON'S. TAILLIGHTS ARE ABOUT 1200 EACH TO FIX RIDICULOUS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 GMC YUKON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE LIGHT WENT OUT. THE ENTIRE UNIT WAS REPLACED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WITH MANUFACTURER APPROVED PARTS. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,500. *BF *JB
WHEN IN TRAFFIC AT SLOW SPEEDS THE BRAKE SYSTEM SHUTS DOWN AND TAKES MY BODY WEIGHT TO STOP CAR. HAD CHECKED AND NO VISIBLE LEAK. NOW GMC HAS A FIX BUT CHARGE TO FIX IF OVER WARRANTY MILEAGE. SECOND ISSUE IS THE TRANSMISSION WENT AT 96,000 MILES WHILE HIGHWAY DRIVING LOOSING ALL TOP END GEARS AT 65 MPH. GMC DID NOTHING BUT DEALER HELPED ON THO AS WELL
AIR CONDITIONING BLOWING HOT AIR
I HAVE 3 YEAR OLD GMC YUKON XL AND THE CONDENSER HAS GONE OUT ON IT. THIS IS ABOUT A $1,600 REPAIR DUE TO GMC'S POOR DESIGN OF THE LOCATION OF THE CONDENSER. THE LABOR ALONE IS ABOUT 8 HOURS TO REPLACE AND I FIND THIS VERY WRONG OF GMC TO DO TO CUSTOMERS OF SUCH AN EXPENSIVE VEHICLE.
TAIL LIGHTS ALTERNATING NOT WORKING. THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH THE LED TAIL LIGHTS. THIS IS A MASSIVE PROBLEM AND ALL OVER THE INTERNET. GMC IS CHARGING $1000 PER TAIL LIGHT TO FIX DESPITE THIS BEING A DEFECT. THE REAR TAIL/BRAKE LIGHTS ON THE GMC YUKON SERIES HAVE A DEFECT THAT KEEP CAUSING THE RUNNING LIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHTS TO WORK INTERMITTENTLY. I HAD AN ENTIRE NEW LIGHT INSTALLED AND THE SAME ISSUE OCCURRED WITHIN A FEW THOUSAND MILES. GMC IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND HAS YET TO ISSUE A RECALL FOR THESE DEFECTIVE LIGHTS. OBVIOUSLY THIS IS AN IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURE OF THE VEHICLE IN ORDER TO ALERT OTHER DRIVERS OF MERE PRESENCE, BRAKING, AND TURNING ACTIONS.
THE LED TAIL LIGHTS GO OFF AND ON AND THE ONLY WAY TO REPAIR IS TO REPLACE THE WHOLE UNIT
RIGHT LED BRAKE LIGHT HAS STOPPED FUNCTIONING. THROUGH ONLINE SEARCH ENGINE, I'VE DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS AN INCREASINGLY FRQUENT PROBLEM THAT GMC HAS REFUSED TO ADDRESS.
THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSERS AND ASSOCIATED PARTS ARE FAILING ON THE 2016 GMC YUKON. GMC HAS YET TO ISSUE ANY RECALL EVEN THOUGH THESE AC UNITS ARE CONSTANTLY BREAKING ON THESE VEHICLES.
STARTED THE VEHICLE AFTER IT HAD BEEN SITTING FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR AND THE GAUGES DID THEIR REGULAR CHECK SWEEP FROM LEFT-TO-RIGHT, THEN THE FOLLOWING WARNINGS APPEARED ON THE DRIVER INFORMATION DISPLAY SCREEN: 1) SERVICE AIR BAG; 2) SERVICE TRAILER BRAKE, AND; 3) SERVICE FRONT CAMERA. AFTERWARDS, THERE WERE NO GAUGES EXCEPT THE VOLTMETER (TACHOMETER, FUEL, TEMPERATURE, OIL PRESSURE AND SPEEDOMETER WERE ALL AT RESTING POSITIONS). THE DRIVER INFORMATION SCREEN WOULD NOT SHOW THE GEAR SELECTOR, THE MILEAGE OR THE SPEED AND THE WARNING LIGHTS FOR THE AIRBAG, EMERGENCY BRAKE, TRACTION CONTROL AND TPMS STAYED ON. I DROVE THE VEHICLE A SHORT DISTANCE AND SHUT IT OFF, RESTARTED, AND IT DID NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE. THERE WAS NO OPTION TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE IMMEDIATELY, BECAUSE WE HAD A TRAIN TO CATCH, SO WE HAD TO DRIVE IT ABOUT 20 MILES WITH NO SPEEDOMETER, BUT WE CALLED OUR GMC DEALER AND MADE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT FOR APRIL 22, 2019 ONCE WE PARKED AT THE TRAIN STATION. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED UNTIL APRIL 21, 2019, AND, WHEN STARTED AT THAT TIME, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND DRIVER INFORMATION SCREEN WORKED CORRECTLY. ON APRIL 22, 2019, OUR GMC DEALER (WOODBRIDGE BUICK-GMC) PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTICS AND DISCOVERED A B3980 (NO ENVIRONMENT IDENTIFIER RECEIVED) IN THE HISTORY. ACCORDING TO THE SERVICE ADVISER I SPOKE TO, THIS CODE WILL INVOLVE THE RELAYS FOR THE TRAILER BRAKING AND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. ALSO; THEY TOLD ME THAT THE BATTERY CABLE WAS LOOSE, SO THEY TIGHTENED THAT AS WELL. OUR EXTENDED WARRANTY DID NOT COVER THIS AND WE HAD TO PAY FOR THE DIAGNOSTICS DUE TO OUR MANUFACTURE WARRANTY EXPIRING 2 MONTHS BEFOREHAND. AS OF NOW, THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT HAPPENED AGAIN, BUT IT IS WORTH REPORTING DUE TO POSSIBLY BEING A SAFETY ISSUE.
THE ANTENNA ON THE YUKON GETS WATER IN IT WHEN IT RAINS. IT HAS MESSED UP MY GPS SYSTEM AND MY ON STAR SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING. IT HAS LEAKED INTO THE SUV. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME IT RAINS.
PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE LIGHT NOT WORKING. YUKON HAS UNDER 40,000 MILES AND IS METICULOUSLY CARED FOR. I HAVE READ MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ONLINE AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A QUALITY ISSUE. THERE IS NO EASY FIX AND A COMPLETE REPLACEMENT IS REQUIRED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE GIVEN IT IS A BRAKE LIGHT. BRAKE LIGHTS SHOULD NOT MALFUNCTION IN THIS MANNER. A RECALL IS CERTAINLY IN ORDER AS FAILURE TO SIGNAL BRAKING CAN BE A RISK FOR MYSELF AS THE DRIVER AND OTHERS.

VEHICLE IN MOTION AND BRAKES WOULD NOT WORK UNLESS YOU PUT ALL YOUR BODY WEIGHT ON THE BRAKES, AND THEN JUST BARELY. HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES ON AND OFF BOTH AT HIGH RATE OF SPEED ON HIGHWAY AND ON CITY STREETS. TOOK INTO GMC DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED THE VACUUM PUMP FOR THE BRAKES -- PROBLEM SOLVED AFTER SPENDING $800. WE ARE LUCKY THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I UNDERSTAND THIS EXACT PROBLEM IS A KNOWN PROBLEM CURRENTLY BEING INVESTIGATED. PLEASE FINISH YOUR INVESTIGATION QUICKLY AND ISSUE A RECALL -- SOMEBODY IS GOING TO GET KILLED IF THIS IS NOT FIXED. I LOOK FORWARD TO BEING REIMBURSED FROM GMC WHEN THE RECALL IS FINALLY ISSUED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 GMC YUKON. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERED AND FAILED TO RESPOND APPROPRIATELY. THE RPM GAUGE WAS ERRATIC AND FLASHED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MARVIN K. BROWN AUTO CENTER (1441 CAMINO DEL RIO SOUTH, AUTO CIR, SAN DIEGO, CA 92108) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT A POWER TRAIN WARRANTY PROVISION WAS NOT AN AVAILABLE OPTION AND THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT ISSUED A POWER TRAIN RECALL. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE REMAINED AT THE DEALER AND HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,268.
VACUUM PUMP WENT OUT ON MY VEHICLE RESULTING IN ALMOST BEING HIT BY A SEMI TRAVELING 65MPH. I HAD TO CALL A WRECKER TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE AND HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AS IT WAS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE. I PAID OUT OF POCKET FOR THE WRECKER AND THE REPAIR BECAUSE THE VACUUM PUMP WAS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AT 38,633 MILES. I WAS LEAVING A DRIVEWAY AT A SLOW SPEED TO TURN ONTO A FARM TO MARKET ROAD AND MY BRAKES WOULD NOT WORK.
RIGHT REAR BRAKE LIGHT ASSEMBLY FAILED. IT IS A SEALED ASSEMBLY AND CANNOT BE REPAIRED WITHOUT BREAKING THE SEALED/SONIC WELDED ASSEMBLY. REPLACEMENT ASSEMBLY IS $700+ DOLLARS.
