Touch screen on console has lots of ghost-touches in warm weather operating conditions. The audio screen keeps switching from FM to USB MP3 player, and goes into settings or prompts for factory reset while driving, and without touching it. Also, Android AutoPlay navigation keeps jumping around on the map, and giving excessive warnings for next turn, without touching it. This is an EXTREME driver distraction, esp. while trying to use navigation. Local dealer was not able to reproduce in their shop on a cool day. They told me they had 12 other complaints of this issue, and no fix available from Honda, as of Oct. 2025.
1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The infotainment touchscreen is malfunctioning. It registers false inputs “ghost touches” without any user interaction. Yes, the vehicle and affected screen are available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The ghost touches cause the screen to randomly change menus, activate or deactivate features, and make it difficult to use navigation, audio, and android auto with maps. This creates distraction while driving, as I have to focus on regaining control of the screen instead of the road, putting myself and others at risk. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The issue has not yet been officially confirmed by a dealer or independent service center, but it is recurring and can be demonstrated on demand. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The infotainment system has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or others. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lamps or messages were displayed. The issue first appeared recently (8/2025) and has recurred intermittently since then.
Touchscreen glitches by itself, clicking randomly on the screen and is unresponsive to touch. It started after 2 years of use after purchasing new, and has not resolved. Heat seems to make it worse. It is a safety issue as it'll click out of navigation, or become difficult/impossible to change settings.
The infotainment system is constantly glitching, randomly pressing buttons on its own. Map system goes in and out, can't make phone calls in emergency situations. The system is a distraction and can't be used.
The vehicles touchscreen system malfunctions and begins “phantom touching” buttons all over the top area of the screen. This results in excessive distractions to the driver as it attempts to make phone calls, start and stop navigation, change radio stations or source, and has loud beeping noises on each “phantom touch.” There is no way to disable the touchscreen or turn it off so each time you drive, these excessive distractions occur and the only “remedy” offered by Honda is to force the consumer to pay over $1000 out of warranty to replace the component.
The head unit touch screen in the car continuously beeps and glitches, sometimes turning on the radio, inability to adjust volume, and is presenting a risk as it is a serious distraction while driving the vehicle. There is no option to turn the head unit off itself without removing it from the vehicle.
With temperatures in the lower 40’s 30’s, the car won’t accelerate, lane assist, emission system problem, brake system, steering and many other warnings occur
Vehicle was involved in an accident and according to eye witnesses, the vehicle stuttered when pulling out into an intersection. This resulted in a t-bone accident where this vehicle was impacted on the driver's side and the passenger with this vehicle suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. infotainment screen flashing different screens intermittently, changes from radio stations, volume and apple carplay. Cannot be turned off. It must be a software problem. Honda dealer has no solution, I have brought in the issue three times with no solution offered. I have now passed my warranty so must pay for repairs. window system malfunctioning, will not work at random times.
