CLEAR COAT AND PAINT HAS STARTED TO CHIP AND PEAL. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MAKE YEAR AND MODEL AND HONDA IS AWARE. TO NO FAULT OF MY OWN NEEDING TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED ASAP. AT ONE TIME A LARGE PIECE OF THE CLEAR COAT CAME OFF AND HIT MY WINDSHIELD AND STUCK TO MY WINDSHIELD AND I HAD TO PULL OVER TO REMOVE IT FROM MY WINDSHIELD TO AVOID HAVING THIS HAZARD TO MYSELF AND OTHERS.
TAKATA RECALL THE WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP FAILED AS WELL. THIS WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO CLEAR THE SALT SPRAY FROM THE WINDSHIELD RESULTING IN ALMOST NO VISIBILITY. I WAS DRIVING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC ON INTERSTATE 94 HEADING EAST. *TR
FRONT SUBFRAME RUSTED ON PASSENGER SIDE PRESUMABLY FROM A/C DRAIN DESIGN FLAW. HAS NOT FAILED YET BUT WILL NOT PASS STATE INSPECTION WITHOUT REPLACEMENT OF SUBFRAME.
THE FRONT SUBFRAME IS GETTING RUSTY AND I CAN SEE A LOT OF WATER DRAINING FROM THE AC SYSTEM ON IT. I THINK IT MIGHT FAIL AND CAUSE A MAJOR ISSUE. MY CAR IS NOT RUSTY, IT IS IN A GREAT SHAPE FOR THE AGE. THE ONLY PLACE THAT IS RUSTED SO BAD IS THAT AREA. HONDA'S BAD DESIGN THAT MAKES THE AC WATER DRAIN PLUG DUMP INTO THE SUBFRAME MADE THAT PROBLEM HAPPEN.
THE ENGINE RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! IT IS NOT THE IGNITION SWITCH WHICH IS THE SUBJECT OF A PAST RECALL. HONDA DOES NOT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT WHAT IS CAUSING THIS ISSUE AND IF YOU CHECK THE INTERNET ALL KINDS OF HONDA OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM. I BET SOMEONE HAS ALREADY BEEN KILLED BECAUSE OF IT.
MY CAR'S ENGINE WAS SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING 65 M/H IN THE FREEWAY AND REGULAR ROAD. ALSO I COULDN'T RE START MY CAR RIGHT A WAY. IT IS HAPPENING MORE WHEN IS HOT DAYS THAN COLD DAYS. WHEN I TURN TO IGNITION SIDE NOTHING HAPPENED AND IT'S SO HARD TO SEE REGULAR LIGHTS INCLUDING AIRBAG AND ENGINE LIGHT ETC. I ALMOST GOT GET INTO ACCIDENT COUPLE TIME DURING AT NIGHT CAUSE I WAS TRYING TO GET MY ENGINE TURN ON MIDDLE OF STREET. IF THIS WERE ONE OR TWO TIME INCIDENT I WOULDN'T REPORT BUT AS SUMMER IS GETTING CLOSER IT IS GETTING WORST. NOW I AM GETTING AFRAID OF WHEN I COULD GET HIT AND I CAN'T GET INTO FREEWAYS. PLEASE CHECK ON IT. I WILL TRY TO MAKE SOME KIND OF RECORDING.
VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT. WILL RESTART AFTER A FEW MINUTES.
I HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR OVER A YEAR AND THE CAR IS CHIPPING SO BAD.I AM UPSET ABOUT THIS PROBLEM!!PLUS MY DASH LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING AND I HAVE RAN OFF THE ROAD SEVERAL TIMES.I HAVE CHECKED EVERYTHING AND I DON'T SEE THE PROBLEM.ZHONDA SHOULD HAVE TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR CAR PLEASE SEE BELOW FROM THE OTHER HONDA OWNER'S DESCRIPTION: AT 100,000 MILES MY 1998 HONDA ACCORD BEGAN JERKING AND BUCKING WHEN SHIFTING FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR AND ALSO WHEN ACCELERATING IN HIGHER GEAR. I WAS ALMOST KILLED BY A SEMI TRUCK BEHIND ME WHEN THE CAR BUCKED AND DECELERATED RAPIDLY. THESE ARE DANGEROUS CARS! THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND IN THE LOWER GEARS THE CAR WOULD GO INTO "LIMP MODE" AND I WOULD HAVE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND RESTART THE ENGINE IN ORDER TO DRIVE IT. I TOOK THE CAR TO A VERY REPUTABLE MECHANIC AND HE DIAGNOSED A COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE TRANSMISSION AND TOLD ME THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR AND MODEL OF HONDA. TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION WOULD COST $3,400.00. AFTER RESEARCHING I HAVE COME TO LEARN THAT IT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT IN THE TRANSMISSION THAT HONDA HAS BEEN AWARE OF AND HAS DONE NOTHING TO RECTIFY. I CONTACTED HONDA AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY "SYMPATHIZE WITH THE PROBLEM I HAD BUT BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO RECALLS OR ALERTS IN THEIR SYSTEM" THERE WAS NOTHING THEY WOULD DO TO HELP. THERE HAVE BEEN HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT TRANSMISSION FAILURE IN 1998 HONDA ACCORDS AND IN MY CASE IT ALMOST COST ME MY LIFE. IF YOU HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM, PLEASE REPORT IT TO THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY SAFETY ADMINISTRATION.
TAKATA RECALL, MY SON WAS TURNING ON NORTH COOK STREET AND WAS IN A CAR WRECK ANOTHER CAR. THE IMPACT WAS SO BAD BUT THE AIRBAGS DIDN'T EVEN COME OUT TO HELP HIM AS THEY WAS PUT IN THE CAR TO DO!

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1998 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 259,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 1998 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED VIOLENTLY CAUING INJURES. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED SEVERE INJURIES TO THE CHEST AND BACK, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO OPEN RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 95,000.

I BOUGHT THIS 1998 HONDA ACCORD AND I WANT TO KNOW WHY MY CAR VIN NUMBER IS NOT IN THE RECALLS FOR THIS NO WARNING CUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING AND ITS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE IT AND SOMETIMES IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO START UP AND THEN CONTINUE TO CUT OFF I HAVE REPLACED FUEL PUMP DISTRIBUTOR FULL TUNEUP AND NEXT MY IGNITION COIL WHICH IS A RECALL FOR MY YEAR HONDA ACCORD AND THIS CUT OFF PROBLEM SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF FOR MY SAFETY BECAUSE I OWN THIS VEHICLE AND WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT AND CONCERN OF THE RECALLS ON MY CAR PLEASE. WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THE CAR THE NEXT DAY I WAS ON THE FREEWAY AND THE CAR JUST CUT OFF AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT WAS OFF UNTIL I REALIZE I WAS SLOWING DOWN AND STEERING GOT HARD AND TRAFFIC WAS YELLING AT ME FROM THEIR VEHICLES AND I WAS SCARED PULLING OVER TO THE SIDE OF FREEWAY.AND AS OF TODAY IT DOES IT MORE FREQUENTLY AND TAKE LONGER TO START BACK UP THAN IT DID WHEN I FIRST GOT THE CAR SO I THINK IT IS UNFAIR THAT MY VIN NUMBER FOR THIS CAN'T BE TAKEN CARE OF UNDER THIS UNSAFE RECALL THAT MY CAR IS INCLUDED IN ONTHIS RECALL PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY IM NOT INCLUDED AND THAT'S NOT OK.
AFTER BRINGING THE CAR IN FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ON THE BRAKES, I WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE SUB FRAME IS COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH AND THE CAR IS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE. IT WAS A HUGE SURPRISE AS THE CAR HAS HAD REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND DOES NOT HAVE SIGNIFICANT RUST ON ANY OTHER LOCATION. I WAS TOLD THAT ANY POT HOLE OR LARGE BUMP COULD HAVE BROKEN THE FRAME AND COMPLETELY DISLODGED THE ENGINE. I WAS TOLD IT WAS A DESIGN ISSUE THAT CAUSED ISOLATED RUSTING ON AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE FRAME.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT NORMAL SPEED AND AS I WAS MAKING A TURN I HEARD A LOUD POPPING SOUND FROM THE FRONT OF MY VEHICLE. I TOOK THE CAR TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE INFORMED ME THAT MY PASSENGER SIDE SUB-FRAME ARM HAD RUSTED OFF AND SNAPPED. THIS CAME AS A SURPRISED, BECAUSE THE CAR WAS INSPECTED FOR A STATE INSPECTION LESS THEN A WEEK BEFORE THE SAID INCIDENT AND IT HAD PASSED THE STATE INSPECTION. I WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I WAS TOLD BY THE TECHNICIAN THAT THE AC HOSE WERE PLACED DIRECTLY ABOVE THE SUB-FRAME AND EVERY TIME THE AC WAS USED IT WOULD LEAK ONTO THE SUB FRAME AND CAUSE IT TO RUST. THE OTHER SUB-FRAME ARM HAD NO INDICATION OF RUST AT ALL. THIS IS A CASE OF COMPLETE NEGLIGENCE BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER HAS DESIGNED A FLAWED PRODUCT AND HAS FILED TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS. NO RECALL WAS ISSUED. NO STATEMENT MADE. THE OWNER CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF THE REPAIRS AS THE PRODUCT THAT WAS MANUFACTURED BY HONDA HAS INITIAL DESIGN FLAWS WHICH DIRECTLY ATTRIBUTED TO THE FRAILER OF A MAJOR STRUCTURAL COMPONENT OF THE VEHICLE. THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD AND HAS BEEN FULLY AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM. A RECALL MUST BE ISSUED TO PREVENT MOST OF ALL FATALITIES AND HELP ALLEVIATE THE FINANCIAL BURDEN PLACED UPON THE OWNERS AS THE REPAIRS ARE OFTEN TIMES VERY COSTLY.
1998 HONDA ACCORD DEFECT NUMBER:2303 IDLE AIR BLEED MAY BE RESTRICTED SO THAT IDLE AIR FLOW IS REDUCED. JERKING DURING DECELERATION, HESITATION AT ACCELERATION AFTERWARD UNSTABLE IDLE AND ENGINE STALL AT VEHICLE STOP. THIS IS THE INFORMATION I WAS GIVEN AFTER A VEHICLE INSPECTION WAS DONE ON MY CAR.
WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AND ALSO ON THE HIGHWAY I NOTICED A CLANKING NOISE COMING FROM THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL AREA OF THE CAR. PARKED THE CAR AND PUSHED ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE HOOD AND COULD HEAR THE NOISE. TOOK OFF THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE AND NOTICED SEVERE RUST THROUGH OF THE FRAME THAT CONNECTS BELOW THE CONTROL ARM. (2 PHOTOS ATTACHED) CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND AM GETTING ESTIMATES ON REPAIR COST.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 393,033.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 02V120000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); HOWEVER, THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 157,000.

THE CAR JUST SHUTS WHEREVER YOU ARE, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. IT HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. SOMETIMES IT WOULDN'T START. BUT MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND IT SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. SHE WAS VERY LUCKY THAT AN ACCIDENT DIDN'T OCCUR. THIS PART (IGNITION SWITCH HAS BE ON RECALL) FOR THE 98 ACCORD BUT NOT MY PARTICULAR VIN# WHICH I THINK IS RIDICULOUS. WHY WOULD IT BE ON 98 ACCORDS AND BEYOND BUT NOT THIS PARTICULAR VIN AND WE HAD THE SAME ISSUE AS THE OTHERS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. TRANSMISSION GOES OUT ON ALL OF THE HONDA BRAND VEHICLE. THIS IS VERY SCARY AND NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY GETTING OFF MY EXIT AND CRASHED BECAUSE OF THEIR FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS. I LOOKED UP WHAT WAS GOING WITH MY CAR AND THEIR WAS SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THESES CARS. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALLED!!!!!!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 266,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A FAULTY WIRE HARNESS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE DISTRIBUTOR, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 02V120000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 165,000.
VEHICLE INSPECTED BY MECHANIC WHO DETERMINED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE ENGINE CRADLE IS CORRODED AND WILL NEED REPLACEMENT. SUBSEQUENT INTERNET SEARCH INDICATES THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE PRIOR TO A DESIGN CHANGE IN THE 2003 MODEL YEAR. SPOKE WITH MANUFACTURER CUSTOMER SERVICE REP (CSR) WHO CLAIMED THAT THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF EVER HAVING RECEIVED A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS ISSUE, THOUGH NHTSA COMPLAINT IDS 10668618, 10632816 AND MANY OTHERS INDICATE THAT MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. CSR STATED REPEATEDLY "THERE IS NOTHING WE (HONDA) CAN DO", BUT ON FURTHER QUESTIONING AGREED THAT IT WAS MORE ACCURATE TO STATE "WE [HONDA] WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS". AS HONDA CLAIMS TO NOT BE RECEIVING THESE COMPLAINTS, A COPY OF THIS IS BEING SENT USPS PRIORITY MAIL WITH TRACKING TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE AWARE THAT COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE ARE BEING LODGED. CAR DIED WHEN I WAS DRIVING. ALL THE DASH LIGHTS WENT OFF. I LET THE CAR SIT FOR A WHILE AND THEN WAS ABLE TO START IT AGAIN. I DROVE A FEW MORE MILES AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THIS AND IT APPEARS THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH HAS HAD A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. I CALLED HONDA AND THEY SAID THEY DON'T HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS YEAR. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1998 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, A CLANKING NOISE WAS PRESENT NEAR THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. WHILE INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE SUBFRAME WAS RUSTED AND CORRODED, WHICH CAUSED THE FRAME TO SEPARATE. MOST OTHER MODELS OF ACCORDS MANUFACTURED IN THIS TIMEFRAME WERE COVERED UNDER AN IGNITION RECALL IN 2002. I OWNED A DIFFERENT ACCORD IN 2006 THAT WAS REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL. HOWEVER, I WAS TOLD BY A HONDA DEALER MY PARTICULAR MODEL IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL.

HEARD CLUNKING NOISE WHILE TURNING. FIGURED IT WAS A CV JOINT, TOOK IT TO MY VERY TRUSTED MECHANIC. HE CONFIRMED THE RIGHT JOINT WAS BAD, AND SAID THAT ON THE LEFT JOINT, THE BOOT WAS ALREADY OFF, AND IT IS SLINGING GREASE EVERYWHERE. MORE DISTURBING, HE ALSO SAID THAT THE FRONT SUBFRAME IS DANGEROUSLY RUSTED OUT. HE SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED THAT THE "CRADLE", WHICH HOLDS UP THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE IS ALMOST COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH. HE SAID "YOU ARE ONE POT-HOLE AWAY FROM TOTAL FAILURE...THE ENGINE WILL FALL TO THE GROUND. DO NOT DRIVE IT." I LOOKED ONLINE AND SAW THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE SAME MAKE/MODEL/YEAR, BUT MY CAR FALLS OUTSIDE OF THE COVERED DATES. MY VEHICLE WAS MADE IN DEC 1997, AND THE RECALL ONLY GOES THROUGH AUG 1997. QUITE FRANKLY, GIVEN THAT THE FAILURE MODE IS EXACTLY WHAT IS COVERED BY THE RECALL, I BELIEVE MY CAR SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. WHILE I RECOGNIZE THAT THE CAR IS OLD, THE FRAME OF A 98 MODEL ACCORD SHOULDN'T CORRODE AND BREAK IN HALF, POTENTIALLY LEADING TO CATASTROPHIC RESULTS. *TR

MY MOTHER BOUGHT THIS ACCORD IN 1999 WITH 102000 MILES ON IT. IT HAS BEEN GARAGE KEPT SINCE AND ONLY DRIVEN 31000 MILES. I TOOK IT TO BE INSPECTED THIS MONTH AND WAS TOLD THAT THE SUBFRAME WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE SUSPENSION WAS BARELY HOLDING TO THE SUBFRAME. I WAS ADVISED NOT TO DRIVE IT AS THE ENGINE COULD FALL OUT WHILE DRIVING OR THE SUSPENSION COULD PULL LOOSE. MY MOTHER IS 89 YRS OLD AND NOW HER VEHICLE HAS NO VALUE. THE PASSENGER SIDE IS SEVERELY RUSTED. THE AIR CONDITIONING DRAIN TUBE HANGS DIRECTLY ABOVE THE FRAME AND DRIPS ON IT IF THE AC IS RUNNING. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO BODY DAMAGE OR RUST. I HAVE HAD IT INSPECTED THROUGH LOCAL MECHANICS DURING ROUTINE OIL CHANGES AND THEY WARN ME IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I AM WORRIED THE ENGINE AND/OR TRANSMISSION WILL EVENTUALLY FALL OUT. I TOOK MY 1998 HONDA ACCORD EX 4CYLINDER V-TEC TO GET NEW SHOCKS, AND STRUTS WHICH HAD 161,000 MILES. MY MECHANIC CALLED TO TELL ME THAT I NEEDED A NEW SUBFRAME. I HAD HEARD A TIRE SQUEAL WHEN I MADE RIGHT TURNS, AND I HAVE BRAND NEW FIRESTONE TIRES SO I KNEW IT WASN'T THE TIRES. SO I WENT TO THE SHOP TO LOOK AT THE CAR MYSELF, AND SURE ENOUGH UP UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR WAS RUSTED OUT AS IF THE CAR WASN'T MAINTAINED PROPERLY, WHICH ISN'T THE CASE. I KEEP MY CAR REGULARLY SERVICED, AND WHEN THE "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" COMES ON THE ISSUE IS ALWAYS ADDRESSED, AND FIXED. I DON'T THINK THAT IT'S FAIR AS A CONSUMER TO TAKE CARE OF SOMETHING THAT'S JUST GOING TO FALL APART IN TURN. ON AUGUST 23, 2014, I WENT TO GET MY OIL CHANGED AT THE HONDA DEALER AND THEY SAID THE SUB-FRAME ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE HAD COMPLETELY BROKEN AND THE CAR IS NOW A SAFETY ISSUE. I FIND THIS TO BE HORRIBLE. I'VE HAD THIS CAR FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS NOW (A GIFT FROM MY GRANDMOTHER) AND ALL OIL CHANGES AND SERVICES HAVE BEEN DONE AT THE DEALERSHIP ON TIME AND THEY ARE JUST NOW TELLING ME ABOUT THIS!!! I HAVE SEARCHED AND FOUND THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS PROBLEM. IT SEEMS HONDA HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS RUSTING PROBLEM FOR YEARS AND HAS DONE NOTHING ABOUT IT.
