AFTER STARTING VEHICLE SURGES FORWARD WHEN SHIFTING GEARS INTERMITTENTLY. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
ON TWO KNOWN OCCASIONS THE PASSENGER REAR SEAT OF MY VEHICLE IS SATURATED AFTER DRIVING ON WET ROADWAYS. I AM USUALLY THE ONLY PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE AND BOTH TIMES THIS HAS OCCURRED I WAS TRANSPORTING OTHER PERSONS THAT NOTICED THE PROBLEM. I TOOK IT IN TO BE REPAIRED AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS A SEAL THAT WASN'T FASTENED PROPERLY AT THE ASSEMBLY OF THE CAR. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT MENTIONED, A HARNESS, GROMMETS AND SOME TYPE OF SEAL. THIS SECOND TIME I WAS TOLD THAT THEY FOUND THE SEAL WAS AGAIN NOT PROPER. I HAVE CONCERNS OF MOLD, MILDEW AND OTHER POTENTIAL WATER DAMAGE. ESPECIALLY SINCE IT IS RARE THAT I WOULD NOTICE BECAUSE MY VEHICLE MAINLY TRANSPORTS MYSELF AND RARELY OTHERS, THAT WOULD NOTICE THE PROBLEM.*AK
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL CRASH ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE, WITH A GUARD RAIL AT APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH UPON IMPACT, NEITHER FRONTAL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED AT THIS TIME.*AK
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE'S DRIVE AXLE COLLAPSED CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOOSE CONTROL OF HIS 2004 HONDA ACCORD. *NM THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED BUT DID NOT INFLATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. *SC
I HAVE HAD SEVERAL INSTANCES IN THE PAST FEW MONTH'S WHERE THE SEAT HAS MOVED FORWARD ON IT'S OWN. THIS WAS CAUSED FROM HARD BRAKING. AMOUNT OF MOVEMENT WAS FROM A 1/4 TO 1 INCH. THIS IS VERY MUCH A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. HONDA IS GOING TO REPAIR THE TRACKS, BUT I FELT A NEED TO REPORT THIS ISSUE. *NM
I HAVE A 2004 ACCORD EX V6 AND I HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY BRAKES POPPING AND NOT WANTING TO STOP THEY REPLACED MY BRAKES LAST JAN 2005 THE CAR WASN'T A YEAR OLD YET AND STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM NOW I HAVE TO REPLACE MY REAR BRAKES AND ALSO WHEN I TRY TO START MY CAR IT STALLS AND MAKES THIS SOUND IT DOESN'T START I HAVE TO TURN OFF AND TRY AGAIN THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW I TOOK TO THE DEAL ABOUT 4 TIMES THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. *JB

THERE IS ALSO A QUESTION AS TO WHETHER THE AIR BAG MAY HAVE DEPLOYED INADVERTENTLY AND CAUSED THE ACCIDENT. RECALL #04V551000 WAS ISSUED DECEMBER 2004.
HONDA ACCORD 2004, NOISE FROM BRAKES WHILE DRIVING FORWARD AND REVERSE. *BF AFTER NUMEROUS TIMES OF TRYING TO CORRECT THE BRAKE PROBLEM, THE CONSUMER WAS FINALLY TOLD THE NOISE WAS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VEHICLE. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. *JB
THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED JERKING UNCONTROLLABLY WHILE DRIVING,THE CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER APPLIED THE BRAKES, BUT THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A PARKED VEHICLE AND IT FLIPPED OVER. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE INSURANCE COMPANY REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. *JB
WHILE RELEASING THE BRAKE PEDAL VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNCONTROLLABLY. CONSUMER WAS NOT ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND IT CRASHED INTO A GARAGE WALL. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION THREE TIMES. HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK .....NO GAS WAS APPLIED. SERVICE MANAGER DIDN'T ATTEMPT TOFIND PROBLEM AND ATTEMPTED NO REPAIRS. CAR WAS THEN TAKEN TO ANTHER HONDA DEALER WHO FOUND 2 FAULTY PARTS THE FIRST TIME THEY LOOKED AT CAR. ALL FOUR INCIDENTS WERE REPORTED TO SECOND HONDA DEALER. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH CONSUMER SMELLED AN ODOR OF SMOKE. AFTER PULLING OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD CONSUMER WENT TO OPEN THE HOOD AND WAS UNABLE TO TO DO SO BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS CONSUMED WITH FLAMES.*AK
THE CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH. THE CONSUMERS VEHICLE WAS STRUCK WITH GREAT IMPACT. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED, HOWEVER, THE DRIVER SIDE DID NOT DEPLOY. *JB
2004 HONDA ACCORD LX 4 CYL. AUTOMATIC 4 DOOR 4533 MILES EY WILL NOT COME OUT OF THE IGINITION. THIS HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES. EACH TIME I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO INFORM THEM OF THIS EVENT. I WAS TOLD TO BRING IT IN, BUT THEY NEED TO SEE THE KEY NOT COME OUT OF THE CAR TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. IF IT CAME OUT THEN BRING IT IN THE NEXT TIME YOU HAVE THE PROBLEM. EACH TIME I WAS SUCCESSFUL WITH KEY REMOVAL AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES OF PLAY. I WOULD BE ABLE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND ON. I WOULD DRIVE AROUND, COME BACK PARK, PLAY WITH KEY,GIGGLE KEY UP AND DOWN, SIDE TO SIDE, AND STILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET MY KEY OUT. I MADE SURE THAT I WAS IN PARK, BACK UP GO FORWARD, AND PARK, PULL UP E-BRAKE. I RISKED MY CAR BEING STOLEN BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET THE KEY OUT AT 11:30PM ON 12/5/2004. I PUT MY JACKET OVER MY WHEEL TO COVER IT UP AND LOCKED THE CAR WITH MY SPARE KEY. I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP, AND AFTER 24 HOURS OF BEING STUCK- IT CAME OUT IN THE SERVICE DRIVE. HONDA HAS HAD 12 COMPLAINTS UP TO DATE. NO RECALL HAS BEEN FORMATTED, NOR HAS THERE BEEN A SUCCESSFUL SOLUTION TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.*AK
THREE MONTHS AGO I PURCHASED A NEW HONDA ACCORD AND ON NOVEMBER 28TH I NOTICED A UNSUAL SMELL AND PROCEDEED TO TAKE THE CAR INTO THE LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP WHO INFORMED ME THAT THE CLUTCH ON MY VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED AND WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. LATER I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A WEAR AND TEAR ITEM AND THAT IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED. *AK
REAR WINDOW OF MY 2004 HONDA ACCORD SUDDENLY BROKE APART AND LANDED IN PIECES IN THE REAR SEAT AFTER WIPING THE OUTSIDE GLASS TO REMOVE THE MORNING MOISTURE. *AK
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA ACCORD. EVER SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED, THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED THREE SAFETY RECALLS: NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBERS 06E023000, 073004000, AND 07E031000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS). THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 45,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
A GRINDING AND SHAKING WHEN BRAKING, WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT I MUST NOT BE USED TO THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM THE ROADS WERE COMPLETELY DRY AND NO REASON FOR THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES TO COME ON, I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP AGAIN , THEY PROCEEDED TO TELL ME IT JUST NEEDED A MINOR ADJUSTMENT AND IT WAS ALL SET. BACK A 3RD TIME , THEY REPLACED THE FRONT BRAKES AND REALIGNED , TO WHICH I RECIEVED THE CAR AGAIN UNFIXED . SERVICE MANAGER WAS VERY ARGUEMENTIVE AND RUDE AND TOLD US THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH OUR VECHICLE AND IF WE HAD A PROBLEM FROM HERE WE WOULD NEED TO SPEAK THE HONDA MOTOR CORP. SERVICE MANAGER . HE INDICATED THAT IT WAS A PROBLEM THAT HONDA IS SEEING IN THE ACCORDS IN STATES WHERE THE CLIMATES ARE VARIED AND COLD, ALSO HE SAID HE WOULD ROLL UP HIS SLEEVES AND GET IT FIXED FOR US. AFTER 13 DAYS IN THE REPAIR SHOP AND NEW BRAKES,TIRES,RIMS AND SOME OTHER MINOR COMPONETS OUR CAR WAS RETURNED TO US WITH THE ORIGINAL SERVICE PERSON HAVING A TOTALLY DIFFERENT TONE TO HIS VOICE AND HE ALSO SAID HE WAS NOT SURE IF THEY FIXED IT ! WELL, GUESS WHAT THEY DID NOT !!!!!!!! MY CAR IS JUST OVER A YEAR OLD AND THEY WANT ME TO FIX IT YET AGAIN AND I FEEL LIKE THEY SHOULD GIVE US A NEW VEHICLE OR BUY US OUT OF THIS ONE AND THEY SAID NO THAT THEY ONLY OBLIGATION IS TO KEEP FIXING IT AND THAT WAS FROM THE DEALER AND THE HONDA CONSUMER RELATIONS DEPARTMENT ALSO. THE RELATIONS DEPARTMENT OFFERED TO HAVE A DIFFERENT DEALER WORK ON IT BUT I JUST FEEL LIKE THIS CAR IS A LEMON. IN MY OWN INVESTIGATIVE WORK WITH A FEW PEOPLE I KNOW WHO HAVE THE SAME VEHICLE AS ME (3 PEOPLE) 1 HAS HAD THE EXACT PROBLEM (DIFFERENT DEALER), 1 HAS HAD NO BRAKE PROBLEMS AND 1 HAS HAD BRAKE PROBLEMS BUT NOT EXACTLY LIKE OURS. IN ADDITION WHEN TALKING WITH THE HONDA MOTOR CORP. CONSUMER RELATIONS IT TOOK WEEKS FOR THEM TO CONTACT ME AND WHEN I FINALLY DID TALK TO THEM THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE IT FIXED 1 MORE TIME BUT COULD NOT GUARANTEEE ME THAT THE PROBLEM WOULD BE FIXED.
MY WIFE WAS HIT HEAD ON AT AN INTERSECTION IN A 2004 HONDA ACCORD V-6 (NAV). THE OTHER PERSON WAS AT FAULT. SHE HAD HER SEAT BELT ON. SHE FRACTURED HER L-2 LUMBAR IN THE ACCIDENT BUT HAD "NO" OTHER INJURIES? WE PURCHASED THIS CAR FOR THE SAFETY FACTORS AND THE NAME BRAND HONDA. WE WERE LIFE LONG HONDA PURCHASERS AS THIS WAS THE 2ND BRAND NEW V-6, BUT WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER HONDA. MY WIFE WAS TRAVELING APPROX 35 MPH AND THE OTHER PERSON (COMMERCIAL VAN) WAS TRAVELING APPROX45-50 MPH. WHY DID SHE BREAK HER BACK, THE AIRBAG AND SEAT BELT SHOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS!!!!!!*AK
DURING EMERGENCY STOP BRAKE PEDAL LOCKED. THIS CAUSED EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
CAR TYPE: 2004 HONDA ACCORD EX, WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY, SIDE IMPACT, AIRBAGS (ON PASSENGER SIDE) FIRED WITH NO PROVOCATION. LUCKILY, THERE WERE NO CARS NEAR ME. I WAS OBVIOUSLY STARTLED BY THE AIRBAGS FIRING, AND BRIEFLY HIT THE BRAKES AS A KNEE-JERK REACTION. HAD THERE BEEN OTHER CARS NEAR ME, THERE IS LITTLE DOUBT I WOULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. CAR IS NOW BEING SERVICED AT A HONDA DEALERSHIP. THEY INTEND TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS, ROOF LINER, SRS UNIT(?), AND POSSIBLY THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT BUCKLE.*AK
WHEN COMING TO A STOP APPLIED BRAKE BUT CAR ACCELEARTED LIKE GAS PEDAL WAS BEING APPLIED RPM SPEEDED UP. END RESULT WAS REAR ENDING CAR IN FRONT OF ME. CRASH RESULTED IN $2700.00 AMAGE TO MY VEHICLE AND $800.00 TO CAR WHILE AT DEALERSHIP FOR ROUTINE SERVICE MENTIONED PROBLEM TO SERVICE PERSON HE STATED HE HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF PROBLEM DID NOT ATTEMPT TO DUPLICATE PROBLEM.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL FAILED. UPON DEPRESSING THE BRAKES THE RPMS INCREASED, AND VEHICLE JUST TOOK OFF. CONSUMER'S VEHICLE REAR ENDED THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. *AK *NM
AT A STOP WITH THE BRAKES DEPRESSED RPMS ACCELERATED. THIS CAUSED CONSUMER'S VEHICLE TO REAR END THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. VEHICLE WAS STILL DRIVABLE. *AK *NM
NUMEROUS PROBLEMS, BRAKING SYSTEM, TRANSMISSION, PROBLEM STARTING THE CAR. RECALL NOTICE FOR A PART TO BE CHANGED IN THE TRANSMISSION. *BF CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER : 04V176000 GEAR FAILURE COULD RESULT IN TRANSMISSION LOCKUP, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT UNDERNEATH THE CAR SOUNDS LIKE IT GOING TO FALL APART. THE VEHICLE SWAYS WHILE BEING DRIVEN. *TC
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE BRAKES ROARED AND VIBRATED WHEN GOING DOWN A STEEP INCLINE. TWICE THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE PADS AND TURNED THE ROTORS. THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE IF THE REAR OR FRONT BRAKES WERE REPAIRED. THE FIRST TIME WAS ON OCCURRED 11-04. THE SECOND TIME WAS IN 2006. THE BRAKES CONTINUED TO ROAR AND VIBRATE. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THIS WAS NORMAL AND RECOMMENDED THE CONTACT DOWN SHIFT WHEN COMING DOWN A STEEP INCLINE AND ALLOW THE VEHICLE ROLL OFF OF THE HILL INSTEAD OF USING THE BRAKES. I HAVE HD TWO THREE PROBLEMS WITH THIS ACCORD PURCHASED IN JANUARY 2004-WINDSHIELD RUBBER BACAME DETACHED AND SCRATCHED WINDSHIELD--PAINT-DEALER SAYS ACID RAIN WAX VEHICLE-AIRCONDITIONING SYSTEM NEEDE A NEW PART AND HAD TO BE RECHARGED-EMISSIONS CONTROL LIGHT NOW ON AS OF 10/31/2004-INTERMITTENANT AIR BAG LIGHT ON PASSENGERS SOIDE-DEALER SERVEICE REP STATES IT IS OK-IF YOU PUT YOUR PURSE IN THE PASSENGERS SEAT IT WILL CAUSE IT TO SHUT OFF AIRBAG-I OWN TNOTHER HONDA PILOT WHICH ALSO HAD A SAFETY RECALL AND CONTINUES TO HAVE A SLOW GEAR TURMN OVER AND ALSO THE HONDA ACCORD SEEMS TO BE THE SAME. I HAVE CONTACTED FOX HONDA SEVERAL TIMES REGARDING THE CONSISTANT PROBLEMS WITH THESE VEHICLES AND HAVE RECIEVED NO SATISFACTION--I WONDER WHY I AM MAKING CAR PAYMENTS -ON VEHICLES THAT HAVE HAD AND CONTINE TO HAVE PROBLEMS--HONDA TOLD ME IF YOU DO NOT LOKE THE ANSWERS WE ARE GIVING YOU TRADE THE VEHICLES --I DO NOT FEEL THIS IS A SATISFACTORY ANSWER AFTER ALL THE VEHICLE IS THE PROBLEM OF THE MANUFACTURER. *AK
AUDIO-HVAC DISPLAY MODEL IS DARK FOR AN UNKNOWN REASON. *TR
WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH VEHICLE VIBRATED UNCONTROLLABLY. CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNCONTROLLABLY.CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND PULLED OVER. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. *AK
I BOUGHT A HONDA ACCORD COUPE 2004 BRAND NEW CAR ON SPE 29 2004. THE CAR HAS AN UNUSUAL VIBRATION WHEN DRIVING ON THE ROAD NO MATTER THE SPEED. THIS UNUSUAL VIBRATION MADE ME AND MY COWORKERS FEEL DIZZY AND VERY DANGEROUS TO RIDE IN THE CAR. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH PASSENGER'S REARVIEW MIRROR EXPLODED. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE MIRROR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK THE DEALER WAS NOT INTERESTED IN THE INCIDENT AND ORDERED NO PARTS FOR THE CONSUMER. *TC
A RECALL FOR TRANSMISSION SECOND GEAR INSPECTION WAS ISSUED. THE CONSUMER CALLED TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT, AND DEALER STATED THAT NEXT AVAILABLE DATE IS NOT UNTIL DECEMBER. *AK
THE VEHICLES BRAKES ARE DEFECTIVE WITH VERY POOR RESPONSE TIME. THE BRAKE LINES HAVE AIR IN THEM AND THIS RESULTS IN A SPONGY RESPONSE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED. WE HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED SEVEN TIMES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE IS A 2004 HONDA ACCORD. THIS IS A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN.*AK
CAR PULLS/DRIFTS TO RIGHT. DEALER APPOINTMENT PENDING. *NM
CONSUMER STATED THAT SHE IS AFRAID THAT SHE WILL HAVE AN ACCIDENT WITH HER VEHICLE. SHE STATES THAT WHEN SHE STOPS HER VEHICLE AT A STOP LIGHT/SIGN, SHE HAS TO HOLD THE BRAKES DOWN EXTREMELY HARD. *JB
I WAS DRIVING ALONG AT APPROXIMATELY 35-40 MILES PER HOUR WHEN I STARTED TO BRAKE AT A RED-LIGHT. MY CAR DID DID NOT STOP ACCELERATING. I PRESSED THE BRAKES AS FAR AS THEY WOULD GO TO SLOW DOWN. WHEN I GOT TO A LOW SPEED I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND THEN I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURNED THE IGNITION OFF. A MINUTE LATER I TURNED THE IGNITION ON AND THE ENGINE WAS STILL RACING WHILE IT WAS IN PARK. I BROUGHT IT TO A DEALERSHIP AND THEY HELD IT FOR 2-3 DAYS AND INFORMED ME THAT THEY DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. I AM VERY CONCERNED DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS WAS THE THIRD INCIDENT OF UNCONTROLLABLE ACCELERATION.
CAR HESITATES ON START UP, TAKES TWO TIMES TO START CAR ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. DEALER STATES THAT CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND SYSTEM CHECKS FINE. *NM
WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER HEARD A CREAKING NOISE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHCILE CAUGHT FIRE. *BF DEADLERSHIP FOUND THAT THE SOUND DEADENING MATERIAL CAME TOO CLOSE TO THE HEAT OF THE ENGINE. *TT
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE. THERE WAS NO WARNING. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, WHERE A TECHNICIAN FOUND THAT A PIECE OF INSULATION STARTED THE FIRE. MANUFACTURER STATED THEY WILL MAKE ONLY THE REPAIRS NECESSARY.*AK
I OWNED A 2004 HONDA ACCORD 2 DOOR COUPE. I FILED FOR LEMON LAW BECAUSE AMERICAN HONDA REFUSED TO FIX A MAJOR TRANSMISSION OIL LEAK IN THE CAR. I HAVE WON THE LEMON LAW CASE, BUT WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT AMERICAN HONDA WAS NOT GOING TO RECALL ALL THE CARS WITH THAT TRANSMISSION, I FELT LIKE I HAD TO DO SOMETHING. THE PROBLEM IS DUE TO A LOW VENT VALVE ON THE SIX SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION ONLY HOLDS 2 QUARTS OF OIL. I PURCHASED THE CAR IN 9/2004. FROM 9/2004 TO 9/2005, I WITNESSED WELL OVER A QUART OF OIL SPILL OUT AND ONTO THE BOTTOM OF THE TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE. I HAVE A DETAILED OUTLINE THAT I CAN E-MAIL YOU ON REQUEST OUTLINING ALL OF THE VISITS TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE OUTCOME OF EACH VISIT. THE LOCATION WHERE THIS OIL COMES OUT, IS ALSO WHERE THE CLUTCH IS LOCATED. I HAD NOTICED CLUTCH SLIPPAGE SOON AFTER BUYING THE CAR. I AM ASSUMING THE CLUTCH WAS SLIPPING DUE TO THE OIL SOAKING THE CLUTCH PLATE AND DISK. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A FULL RECALL DONE ON ALL OF THESE TRANSMISSIONS. AMERICAN HONDA ADMITTED THAT THEY HAVE MODIFIED THE 2005 TRANSMISSION TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE, BUT WILL NOT RECALL THE OLD TRANSMISSION. *JB
I GOT OUT THE DRIVEWAY AND MADE A RIGHT TURN. THE IGNITION KEY JUMP OUT OF THE IGNITION KEY HOLE AND BROKE THE KEY HANDLE ( PLASTIC WITH REMOTE DOORS/TRUNK OPENING. THE CAR STALLED AND STOP. I PUT THE KEY ( THE METAL PART) IN BUT THE ENGINE DID NOT START. I TRIED SUPER GLUE THE METAL AND PLASTIC BACK TOGETHER AND TURN THE IGNITION KEY. THE ENGINE WAS ON NORMAL. I TOOK THE KEY OUT, AND TRIED TO TURN IT WITH THE METAL PART AGAIN. THE CAR DID NOT START. I DID NOT REALIZE THE SERIOUS OF THE PROBLEM UNTIL I READ THE WORCESTER TELEGRAM GAZETTE ( SATURDAY 8/13/05) AND FOUND THE HONDA ACURA RSX HAS THE SAME PROBLEM TO OTHER AND IT LOCKED HIM THREE TIMES. I MAY GET KILL IF THE KEY JUMP OUT OF THE IGNITION AND STALL ON THE HIGHWAY. PLEASE ALERT HONDA ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS: COULD BE BAD IGNITION LOCK, SHIFT INTERLOCK MECHANISM, OR STEERING COLUMN OR THE ANTI-THEFT. PLEASE HELP AND INVESTIGATE THIS SERIOUS SAFETY DEVICE. *JB
NEWLY PURCHASED VEHICLE. CONDITION UPON ACCEPTING VEHICLE WAS DEALER TO CORRECT A STEERING PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE (CAR CONSTANTLY PULLS TO THE RIGHT). DEALER HAS HAD VEHICLE FOR TWO WEEKS NOW, TELLING US NUMEROUS TIMES THE STEERING ISSUE WAS FIXED, HOWEVER EACH TIME WE FIND THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. *AK
COULD NOT START CAR ON 2 OCCASIONS MONTHS APART. ORIGINALLY THOUGHT STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED HARD AGAINST SWITCH. THIS TIME SWITCH EASILY TURNED BUT CAR SEEMED TO HAVE DEAD BATTERY. BOTH TIMES NO FURTHER INDICATION OF BATTERY PROBLEMS.*AK
DT: THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE STALL INTERMITTENTLY EVEN IN TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. DEALER CANNOT FIND A PROBLEM. WHILE DRIVING IN BUMPER-TO-BUMPER TRAFFIC, THE PROBLEM IS MORE NOTICEABLE. *NM VEHICLE HAS REPEATED PROBLEMS GOING INTO FIRST GEAR. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN HONDA SHOP FOR ABOUT 75 DAYS AS OF 5/21/05 AND REPEATS THE STALLING ISSUE ON A REGULAR BASIS. DEALER REFUSES TO FIX THE PROBLEM. *TT *NM
THE 2004 HONDA ACCORD I LEASED BRAKES ARE TOO SENSATIVE. ACCORDING TO THE DEALER AND HONDA CORPORATE, THEY HAVE HAD NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS BUT TELL ME IT'S THE WAY THE CAR WAS DESIGNED. IN MY OPINION, IT'S A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE, AS THE CAR JERKS TO A STOP THE MOMENT THE BRAKES ARE TOUCHED. THIS MORNING AGAIN, THE DEALER TOLD ME I SIMPLY NEED TO GET USED TO THE BRAKES. WE HAVE BEEN DRIVING THE CAR FOR ALMOST 10 MONTHS NOW AND WE ARE NOT USED TO IT YET.
CARBON MONOXIDE IS GETTING INTO THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING. THIS CAUSES DIZZINESS AND HEADACHES. VEHICLE HAD BEEN TO THE DEALER, WHO WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. *AK
WHILE APPLYING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNCONTROLLABLY. CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND IT CRASHED INTO A CONVENIENT STORE. DRIVER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. *AK

PURCHASED A NEW 2004 ACCORD EX AND IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER TWICE FOR ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS. THEY CLAIM THEIR IS NOTHING ELSE TO DO AS THE CAR IS WITH FACOTORY SPECS. THE CAR STILL DRIFTS TO THE RIGHT AND IS NOT CORRECT.*AK
BRAKES HAVE BEEN DANGEROUSLY SENSITIVE (GRAB) SINCE DAY I BOUGHT THE CAR. THEY CAN GRAB VERY DANGEROUSLY, CAUSING PASSENGERS TO LURCH FORWARD IN THE CAR. HONDA SERVICE SAYS THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH ALL 2004 ACCORDS AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE.*AK
