CAR STALLED IN MIDDLE OF ROAD WITH ENGINE LIGHT ON. UPON CHECKING MECHANIC FOUND THAT THERE WAS HARDLY ANY OIL LEFT. LOW OIL LIGHT DIDN'T LIGHT UP AS IT SHOULD. THIS WAS VERY STRANGE AS I MAINTAIN MY VEHICLE REAL WELL WITH REGULAR OIL CHANGES ETC. UPON RESEARCHING ONLINE IT SEEMS HONDA CARS CONSUMING OIL IS TOP ISSUE REPORTED BY CONSUMERS, CHECK THIS FORUM... HTTP://WWW.HONDAPROBLEMS.COM/TRENDS/EXCESSIVE-OIL-CONSUMPTION/ THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AND HONDA AGREED TO FIX ISSUE VIA SOFTWARE UPGRADE, PLEASE REFER TO TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN (TSB #11-033) IN JULY OF 2011 THAT ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, ONLY CERTAIN V6 MODELS WERE COVERED AND V4 ETC. WERE NOT COVERED APART FROM OTHER MODELS. THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND, I BEING AN ENGINEER, THAT THIS IS SAME ISSUE THAT HONDA NEEDS TO EXPAND IT INVESTIGATION TO AND RECALL/FIX IT. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND WE ARE BLESSED THAT OUR VEHICLE DIDN'T STALL ON FREEWAY, EVEN THOUGH IT STALLED ON SURFACE STREET DURING COMMUTE HOURS AND WE WERE LUCKY TO BE NOT HIT. I REQUEST NHTSA TO REVIEW THIS ISSUE IMMEDIATELY IN INTEREST OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION. I HAVE ALSO NOTIFIED HONDA USA OF THIS ISSUE. AWAITING A RESPONSE.
HONDA REFUSES TO MAKE THE COURT ORDERED REPAIRS FOR EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION WHICH HAS CAUSED MY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS TO FAIL AS WELL AS MY SPARK PLUGS REPEATEDLY I HAVE TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIME AND ALL I GET IS THE RUN AROUND INSTEAD OF FIXING THE PROBLEM WHICH THEY ARE WELL AWARE OF
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION FAILED. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, IT HESITATED WHILE DRIVING AS IF IT WOULD STALL. ALSO, THE MAINTENANCE AND SPARK PLUG INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. FURTHERMORE, THE TAIL LIGHTS SHORTED OUT AND FAILED TO ILLUMINATE RANDOMLY. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE FAILURES WERE RELATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 11V395000 (POWER TRAIN) AND 11V004000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). CROWN HONDA OF SOUTHPOINT (1001 SOUTHPOINT AUTOPARK BLVD, DURHAM, NC 27713, (919) 883-4960) WAS CONTACTED AND INDICATED THAT AN APPOINTMENT NEEDED TO BE SCHEDULED TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL OR WARRANTY CAMPAIGN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
INBOARD PASSENGER REAR BRAKE PAD JAMMED AND PREMATURELY WORN; DRIVER SIDE REAR BRAKE PADS OK. CALIPERS OK. . DEALER HAD TO REPLACE BOTH REAR BRAKE SETS AND RESURFACE THE ROTORS AT MY EXPENSE. DEALER BLAMED "CORROSION"; I BLAME A HONDA DESIGN DEFECT IN THEIR BRAKING SYSTEM.
ENGINE MAKES A RATTLING SOUND ON COLD START, THEN DISAPPEARS. THIS ISSUE BEGAN AFTER MY PREVIOUS OIL CHANGE, PERFORMED BY HONDA. ON FURTHER INVESTIGATION THE SOUND IS THE CAUSED BY THE VTC ACTUATOR. THE HONDA TECHNICIAN CONFIRMED THAT DIAGNOSTIC, HOWEVER, THE DEALERSHIP STATES THAT MY VEHICLE ISN'T COVERED UNDER THE SERVICE BULLETIN A09-010 MARCH 17, 2016 01607 VERSION 4, TO INCLUDE 2008-2012 ACCORD ALL TRIMS AND VIN RANGES. I WAS INFORMED THAT ALTHOUGH MY VEHICLE MEETS THOSE SPECIFICATIONS, MY VIN IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION, EVEN THOUGH MIN IS A PZEV 15-150K MILES POWER TRAIN VEHICLE. I REPORTED THE ISSUE AT 144,000 MILES AND IF I WANTED IT REPAIRED IT WOULD COST NEARLY $1900 PARTS AND LABOR.

THE BATTERY AND OIL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE FAILURE ONLINE AND FOUND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V004000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), BUT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 106,000.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE, THE ENGINE CAUGHT ON FIRE AND THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT BURNED UP. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO PUT OUT THE FIRE...ON A CITY STREET.
ACCORD V6 WITH VARIABLE CYLINDER MANAGEMENT (VCM). AT EXACTLY 65,000 MILES, IN EXPRESSWAY RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, IMMEDIATE CATASTROPHIC POWER LOSS AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. TOW TO HONDA DEALER. DEALER RECEIPT SHOWS CODE P3400 FOUND AND DEALER REPLACED REAR OIL PRESSURE SENSOR. CAR OWNER SUGGESTS THAT AN OIL CHANGE MIGHT BE IN ORDER DUE TO EVENT. ONCE HOME, OWNER FINDS OIL OVERFILLED. THIS VEHICLE IS PART OF CLASS ACTION ENGINE MISFIRE SETTLEMENT. DEALER DID NOT REPORT ANY OTHER ERROR CODES, THAT IS, THOSE THAT ARE COVERED UNDER THE SETTLEMENT. AMERICAN HONDA HAS DECLINED THE OWNER'S REQUEST TO HAVE THE ENGINE PERFORMANCE REVIEWED WITH THE VEHICLE OWNER AND AN AMERICAN HONDA REGIONAL SERVICE MANAGER PRESENT.
THE AIRBAG SYMBOL KEEPS COMING ON AND GOING OFF. IT DOES NOT STAY CONSISTENTLY BUT IT ANNOYING ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT SOMETHING IS DEFECTIVE OR NOT WORKING PROPERLY. PICTURE ATTACHED.
MY ACCORD HAS ONLY 89000 MILES AND ENGINE IS BURNING ENGINE OIL ALMOST 1 QUART EVERY 3 WEEKS. I HAVE ALWAYS TOOK GOOD CARE AND CHANGE OIL AS SOON AS MAINTENANCE REQUIRED(OIL CHANGE) LIGHT COMES ON.
DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS HAVE STOPPED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THE DOORS ON THREE OF THE FOURS DOORS OF THE CAR. I HAVE TO MANUALLY LOCK AND UNLOCK THE DRIVERS DOOR WITH THE KEY IN ORDER TO LOCK IT. THE TWO REAR PASSENGER DOORS DO NOT UNLOCK VIA THE INTERIOR UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND MUST BE MANUALLY UNLOCKED AND LOCKED BY FLIPPING THE DOOR LOCK ITSELF ON EACH DOOR. THIS IS RIDICULOUS FOR A CAR THAT IS ONLY 7 YEARS OLD .. TO HAVE ALL THREE DOOR AFFECTED IS FAULTY EQUIPMENT AND NOT INCORRECT USE. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT 5 MONTHS BUT WE INITIALLY THOUGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY IN THE ELECTRONIC KEYS. AFTER REPLACING IT AND THE PROBLEMS CONTINUING THE CAR WAS BROUGHT IN FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND WE WERE TOLD THE 3 ACTUATORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
SUNROOF EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE ABOURT 70 MILES AN HOUR
I GOT A LETTER SAYING THAT THERE WAS A RECALL. I NO LONGER HAVE THIS CAR BUT DID GET INTO AN ACCIDENT WITH THIS CAR AND MY AIRBAG WAS DEPLOYED

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
ON FEBRUARY 10, 2017 THE CAR HORN SOUNDED FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES, AND THIS REPEATED TWICE BEFORE 2 AM. THE CAR WAS IN THE DRIVEWAY, AND NO ONE WAS NEAR IT. THE KEY WAS ON THE TABLE. THE ACTION WAS SPONTANEOUS. IT STOPPED ONLY WHEN I UNLOCKED THE CAR DOOR. WHEN I STARTED THE CAR LATER IN THE MORNING AT LEAST FOUR SAFETY WARNINGS APPEARED INCLUDING "BRAKES" ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THIS BEHAVIOR WAS CONFIRMED BY THE DEALER DARCARS HONDA IN BOWIE MARYLAND, WHERE IT WAS ATTRIBUTED TO A FUSE BOX WHICH MUST BE REPLACED. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR, EVEN IF IT CAN BE REPAIRED, BECAUSE OF THE CAR'S SAFETY WARNING.
I CALLED HONDA CUSTOMER TO REPORT A PROBLEM DUE TO CONSTANT CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS AND TO GET MY CAR CHECKED WITH A RECALL NOTICE . THEY TOLD ME I WILL CHARGED TO SEE WHETHER MY IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE RECALL NOTICE AND TOLD MY CHECK ENGINE PROBLEM CANNOT BE CHECKED OUT SINCE MY MFG WARRANTY EXPIRED SINCE IT IS ONLY GOOD FOR 6 YRS FROM THE YEAR OF MANUFACTURED DATE AND NOT THE SOLD DATE . I BOUGHT MY CAR 2011 SO MY WARRANTY IS STILL VALID , BUT FOR WHATEVER REASON THEY ARE GOING BY MFG DATE AND SOLD DATE.
BURNS EXCESSIVE OIL. ENGINE SHUDDERED. FLASHED PCM CHANGED PLUGS, OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. SAID FIXED. IT IS NOT.
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUPMTION. AFTER DRIVING 4~5 MILES.. IT CAN'T CHECK "OIL QUANTITY" BY OIL STICK
WITHIN THE LAST YEAR WHEN MY CAR IS FIRST STARTED IT GRINDS WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED. LIKE IT IS NOT BEING TURNED ALL THE WAY OR BEING HELD TOO LONG BUT IT ISN'T. DOES NOT HAPPEN AFTER THE FIRST START AND DOESN'T HAPPEN EVERY TIME. SEEMS TO BE WORSE WHEN IT IS COLD.
MY 2010 V4 HONDA ACCORD IS BURNING EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF OIL. AFTER DOING THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST THOUGH HONDA, THEY DETERMINED THAT MY ENGINE BURNED 2.5 QUARTS OF OIL IN APPROXIMATELY 5,100 MILES. I BELIEVE THAT THE AMOUNT IS ACTUALLY GREATER BECAUSE THEY SAID THAT AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT CONSUME 1 QUART PER 1,000 MILES THAT THIS IS NORMAL AND THEY WILL NOT FIX IT. I KNOW THEY HAVE SETTLED A CLASS-ACTION SUIT FOR THE V6 MODEL, BUT CHOSE NOT TO INCLUDE THE V4 MODELS THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM! HOW CAN IT BE NORMAL TO BURN THROUGH MORE THAN HALF OF THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF MOTOR OIL IN BETWEEN OIL CHANGES? I NOW HAVE A CAR THAT HAS AN ENGINE THAT HAS NOT BEEN PROPERLY LUBRICATED FOR I AM NOT SURE HOW LONG BECAUSE I PURCHASED IT USED. I MAY BE HAVING TO REPLACE MY ENGINE BEFORE I AM EVEN HALF WAY THROUGH MY LOAN. *TR
WHILE DRIVING THE ODOMETER SHOWS A WARNING THAT THE FUEL CAP IS NOT SEALED I CAN CLEAR THE WARNING BY CHANGING THE ODOMETER SETTING BUT IT REAPPEARS SHORTLY THEREAFTER. THIS IS SOMETIMES ACCOMPANIED BY A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. TOOK CAR TO HONDA DEALER WHO REPORTED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS FROM THE FUEL CAP WARNING. THEY REPLACED THE FUEL CAP BUT LESS THAN A DAY LATER(APPROX. 50 MI.) THE WARNING HAS REAPPEARED
MY SRS LIGHT CAME ON AND WHEN I TOOK IT TO HONDA OF FISHERS IN INDIANA I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE A $100 JUST TO RUN THE DIAGNOSTICS AND SINCE MY SPECIFIC MODEL OF CAR ISN'T UNDER A CURRENT RECALL I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR ANY REPAIRS NEEDED OUT OF POCKET. THIS DOESN'T SEEM FAIR AS MY CAR SHOULD HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON SEAT BELTS AND RELATED SRS COMPONENTS. I WOULD THINK THEY WOULD AT LEAST PROVIDE A FREE DIAGNOSTICS TO MAKE SURE MY AIRBAGS WILL WORK CORRECTLY AS PART OF A SAFETY MATTER. I FOUND MANY 2010 ACCORDS WERE RECALLED BUT APPARENTLY MY ACCORD COUPE WASN'T.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ACCORD. IN 2017, WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED AND MAKING A RIGHT TURN, THE FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL BENT BACKWARDS. IN 2018, WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH ON THE EXPRESSWAY, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD ABNORMAL NOISE AND PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IN 2019, WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED AND MAKING A RIGHT TURN, THE FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL BENT BACKWARDS AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AFTER EACH FAILURE. THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE BALL JOINT AND AXLE WERE FRACTURED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE I HEARD A LOUD "POP", IT SOUNDED LIKE GUNFIRE SO I LOOKED AROUND TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY OTHER VEHICLES NEAR ME AND NON WERE CLOSE. I LOOKED AT ALL MY WINDOWS AND THEY WERE IN TACK BUT I HEARD THIS LOUD GUSHING OF WIND COMING FROM OVERHEAD. WHEN I STOPPED, I REALIZED IT WAS MY SUNROOF. IT HAD A HOLE IN THE MIDDLE OF IT AND IT LOOK AS THOUGH IT HAD COME FROM THE INSIDE AS THE REMAINING GLASS WAS PROTRUDING UPWARD. I CONTACTED THE DEALER WHO SOLD ME THE CAR AND THEY STATED IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE. I GOOGLE TO SEE HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST TO REPAIR IT AS THE DEALER STATED THEY WOULD NOT, THAT IS WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, SO I AM REPORTING MY ISSUES IN HOPES THAT THE CAR MANUFACTURERS WILL TAKE THIS SERIOUS BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED. *TR
I WAS DRIVING AS USUAL TO WORK ON I-405 WITH 55-60M/H SPEED AND SUDDENLY HEARD A BLAST, LIKE SOMEBODY SHOT ME THROUGH WINDOW. I WAS IN SUCH A SHOCK THAT ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF MY STEERING. BUT SOMEHOW MANAGED TO STAY IN LANE. AS MY OFFICE WAS PRETTY CLOSE, I DECIDED TO INSPECT WHAT HAPPENED AFTER REACHING THERE. HOWEVER, WHILE DRIVING TO OFFICE, I CONTINUED TO BE SCARED AND IN TRAUMA AND COULD ALSO HEAR AIR COMING IN THE CAR. BY THE TIME I REACHED OFFICE I HAD A HINT THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH MY SUNROOF, OR IT IS OPEN. AFTER COMING OUT OF MY CAR IN THE OFFICE PARKING I SAW THIS HUGE HOLE IN THE SUNROOF GLASS. AND PIECES OF GLASS SHATTERED IN THE SUNROOF FLAP. BECAUSE OF SEATTLE'S DARK CLOUDY CLIMATE, I USUALLY KEEP MY SUNROOF FLAP OPEN FOR SOME LIGHT TO COME INTO MY LUCK, THIS MORNING IT WAS CLOSED. OTHERWISE, MY FOUR MONTHS OLD ALMOST LOST HER MOTHER OR I COULD BE MISERABLY HURT WITH TINY GLASS PIECES. FOLLOWING DAY ON SATURDAY,12/31/2016, I CALLED LOCAL HONDA SERVICE MANAGER, AND HE SAID IT WILL COST ME $770 FOR FIXING THE SUNROOF. HE SAID HONDA WILL NOT COVER IT BECAUSE THE SUNROOF GLASS HAD WARRANTY LIMITED TO 3 YEARS AND 30,000MILES WHICH IS EXPIRED. SO, INDIRECTLY HONDA SAID, WE WILL KEEP ON SUPPLYING FAULTY SUNROOF GLASS. IF IT EXPLODES WITHIN WARRANTY PERIOD, WE WILL AT THE LEAST COVER FOR IT. AND IF YOUR WARRANTY IS EXPIRED AND YOU DIE BECAUSE OF IT, WE DON'T CARE. ALSO, HONDA SAID THAT I CANNOT GET SUNROOF GLASS FIXED BEFORE TUESDAY, 1/3/2017 BECAUSE THEY CAN'T GET THE GLASS ORDERED BEFORE TUESDAY AS EVERYBODY INCLUDING HONDA ARE VACATIONING FOR NEW YEARS. AS THERE WAS SNOW STORM WARNING ON 12/31/2016 AND MY HUSBAND WAS OUT OF TOWN, I IN SEVERE COUGH AND COLD HAD TO RUSH TO NEAREST LOWES WITH MY 4 MONTHS OLD ALSO COUGHING, TO GET A TARP AND DUCT TAPE, SO THAT I COULD SEAL THE SUNROOF AND PROTECT THE CAR'S INTERIORS. *TR
THE LAST WRITTEN NOTICE I RECEIVED FROM HONDA WAS DATED 12/5/2016. I CONTACTED HONDA AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD SEND ME A NOTICE WHEN TO COME IN TO HAVE THE AIRBAG REPLACED. I HAVE HEARD NOTHING SINCE THEN.
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION. THE CAR BEGAN GRINDING AND HAD NO OIL REGISTERED ON THE DIPSTICK AFTER 1000 MILES FOLLOWING AN OIL CHANGE. THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES DESPITE USING HIGH MILEAGE OIL AND GETTING OIL CHANGES MORE FREQUENTLY THAN RECOMMENDED,
CAR ACTS LIKE IT DOESN'T WANT TO TAKE OFF, THEN STALLING WHILE DRIVING, IT SOMETIMES STARTS TO JERKING. WHEN PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR IT DOESN'T WANT TO ACCELERATE. I SOMETIMES PULL OVER TO TURN THE CAR OFF TO SEE IF IT WOULD DO BETTER IF I RESTART IT, BUT THEN IT STARTS ACTING LIKE IT DOESN'T WANT TO CRANK BACK UP.

TAKATA RECALL I HAVE A FAMILY AND HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO USE MY VEHICLE AS INTENDED FOR THE PAST FIVE MONTHS DUE TO THE POSSIBLE INJURY TO PASSENGER WARNING. I WOULD LIKE TO SELL MY VEHICLE, BUT I AM SURE THAT THE CURRENT RECALL WILL AFFECT THE RESALE VALUE.
I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING ELSE FROM HONDA REGARDING THE AIRBAGS AND I AM SCARED TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE
RIGHT TURN SIGNAL CANCEL IS BROKEN. IT IS NOT CANCELING THE SIGNAL AFTER FINISHING A RIGHT TURN. I HAVE TO MANUALLY TURN IT OFF. IF I FORGET TO TURN IT OFF IT MIGHT BE MISLEADING OTHER DRIVERS AND COULD INCREASE CHANCES FOR A CRASH.
THE SRS SENSOR INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON AROUND SUNDAY 10/30/2016. TOOK THE CAR INTO MIDDLETOWN HONDA (MIDDLETOWN, NY) FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST, THEY CONFIRMED IT WAS THE SENSOR AND THAT IT ISN'T COVERED BY MY WARRANTY. I LOOKED ON THE DOT WEBSITE AND ENTERED MY VIN AND SAW MY CAR DOESN'T FALL UNDER THE RECALL. BUT THERE IS, IN FACT, A RECALL FOR THE SRS SENSOR IN 341,000 OTHER HONDA ACCORDS. I CALLED THE 1-800 NUMBER FOR HONDA, AND THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO BECAUSE MY CAR DOESN'T FALL UNDER THE RECALL BECAUSE OF WHERE MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED. THIS DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT, CONSIDERING THE PART HAS CLEARLY FAILED. AS FAR AS I UNDERSTAND, THIS COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE ALL OF MY AIRBAGS TO FAIL. I WOULD LIKE THIS ISSUE TO BE FIXED. I UNDERSTAND THAT MY CAR DOESN'T FALL UNDER THE CURRENT RECALL, BUT MAYBE MORE CARS NEED TO BE ADDED TO THIS RECALL. THE PART HAS GONE BAD AND I THINK IT SHOULD BE CORRECTED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SHINGLE SPRINGS HONDA (4070 MOTHER LODE DR, SHINGLE SPRINGS, CA 95682, (530) 677-5700) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL LEVEL WAS LOW AND THE VEHICLE WAS DUE FOR A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE. THE ROUTINE OIL CHANGE WAS COMPLETED AND THE GRINDING NOISE WAS GONE. THE CONTACT THEN RECEIVED A SERVICE BULLETIN FROM HONDA FOR OIL CONSUMPTION TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER EVERY 1,000 MILES FOR SEVERAL MONTHS WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A HALF QUART OF OIL WAS BEING USED. THE OIL WAS REFILLED. AT THE END OF THE TESTING PERIOD, THE DEALER FOUND THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT CONSUMING AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF OIL. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT THE VEHICLE CONSUMED AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF OIL AND NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER WHERE A CASE WAS OPENED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000.

MY WHEEL BEARINGS WERE REPLACED UNDER WARRANT AT 50,000 MILES. TWO YEARS LATER, BOTH OF MY WHEEL BEARINGS ARE BAD AGAIN. IT APPEARS THERE ARE OTHER INCIDENTS OF WHEEL BEARINGS ON 2010 HONDA ACCORDS GOING BAD UNDER 100,000 MILES. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND CONCERNED THAT THIS PROBLEM COULD BE WIDE SPREAD.

IN FEBRUARY 2016 - OUR 2010 ACCORD HAD REPAIR PROCEDURE A COMPLETED TO UPDATE PCM SOFTWARE REFERRING TO TSB 13-078 AND REPLACED SPARK 1-4. STARTING IN MARCH OF 2016 OUR ACCORD STARTED TO EXCESSIVELY CONSUME OIL WHICH WE NOW KNOW AS (TSB #11-033).IN DECEMBER AND MARCH WE REPLACED A BAD PRESSURE SWITCH. IN JULY WE REPLACED BOTH PRESSURE SWITCHES AGAIN. HONDA ADMITS THAT THE CAR IS EXCESSIVELY CONSUMING OIL BUT WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE SOFTWARE IS NOT PROVIDING THE CORRECT CODES.

TAKATA RECALL: MY WIFE CONTACTED THE NEAR BY PLAZA HONDA DEALER AND HONDA ITSELF ASKING FOR THEM TO SERVICE THE CAR FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL. MY WIFE IS PREGNANT AND SHE IS DUE IN OCTOBER. WE DO NOT WANT TO USE THE CAR UNTIL IT IS SERVICED. THEY TOLD US THEY COULD PROVIDE A RENTAL CAR. WE HAVE CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES AND EVERYONE ACTS LIKE WE HADN'T JUST SPOKEN TO THEM. WE HAVE NO CAR WE CAN USE BECAUSE OF THIS UNSAFE CAR AND IF SHE NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION OR ANYTHING WE WILL BE FORCED TO PAY FOR OTHER MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. THEY SHOULD SERVICE OUR CAR IMMEDIATELY OR GIVE US A CAR TO USE UNTIL THE CAR IS SERVICED.
THE INTERIO PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG AREA IS LEAKING WHEN IT RAINS. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN A WRECK. I'VE LOOKED ON THE EXTERIOR AREA AND UNABLE TO VISIBLY SEE ANY DEFECTS THAT WOULD ALLOW RAIN/WATER INTO THE INTERIOR AREA THAT IS LEAKING. MY CONCERN IS THE WATER/RAIN WILL CAUSE THE SIDE AIR BAG TO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY DURING A TIME OF NEED.
TAKATA RECALL I CAN NOT DRIVE MY CAR AS I WAS TOLD NOT TO HAVE ANYONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, I TOKE THE CAR TO HAVE THE AIRBAG CODE SCAN AND ITS SHOWING OPEN CIRCUIT IN DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG, AND ALSO SHORT IN PASSENGER SIDE BUCKLE. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN ACCIDENT, NOT REASON FOR ALL OF THESE ITEMS TO BE WRONG OR FAILING. I WANT MY CAR FIXED NOW.
