Radio fails to start when turn the vehicle on. If the radio does start it will shut off while driving. When this happens the forward collision alert fails.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle stalled and almost caused a crash. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer. The contact was unsure of the diagnosis; however, the contact was informed that there was a failure with the brakes, one unknown sensor, and the battery. The contact stated the battery was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
CAR STALLED WHILE DRIVING. CAR WON'T START AND WON'T ACCELERATE.
Every single dash warning light is showing up on my car and I've had it looked at and claimed to be fixed but it has popped back up and I'm unaware of the problem and it's been this way since I've bought my car and I've read online a few others have had this problem
In May 2022, the air conditioning condenser on my 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid was replaced due to AC failure. In April 2023, shortly after purchasing the vehicle following a lease buyout, I returned with the same AC issue and was told the condenser may have been defective and it was replaced again. I then took the vehicle to another authorized Honda dealership, where I was told the condenser may not have been replaced previously, and it was replaced again. Dye was added to the AC system at South Motors Honda to identify a leak. Despite this, Largo Honda later charged me again to add dye, stating they could not access the prior dealership’s diagnostic records, even though both are Honda-authorized dealerships. After continued AC failure, two authorized Honda dealerships have now diagnosed the issue as a leaking air conditioning evaporator and documented the failure with video evidence. Loss of air conditioning impacts driver safety by impairing windshield defogging and creating unsafe cabin temperatures, particularly in hot weather. This represents a premature failure of a non-wear component. This issue has persisted since 2022. The manufacturer declined repair assistance despite repeated repairs and dealer-confirmed diagnostics.
I spoke with Josh (Service Manager) on 02/22/2023 after coming back to the dealership after the scar stalled while driving on Interstate 635. Almost getting in an accident and trying to drive the car back to the dealership, the car began bucking once again and wouldn't go pass 40 miles an hour on an interstate where the speed limit reaches 70 MPH. I called and spoke to Mr. Rey, the service advisor an explained I was coming in. I arrived and told him I wanted to speak with the service manager immediately, he informed me to give him a minute. I stated to Josh that this was unacceptable and for me to be a loyal customer to where since I've been in Texas for over two years, my car has been serviced there and I have a complete record to show that. All maintenance has been completed and things that aren't, plans are made with Mr. Rey to complete them at a later time that works for my budget. After talking with him, I was told to wait in the waiting room while he looked a few things. After an hour, Mr Rey, comes and said that Josh had two options. To trade out of my car or pay $1495 to have the head gasket fixed instead of paying $2995.00 before taxes. After going back and speaking with Josh, I explained I shouldn't have to pay that because his guys messed up to where you guys have already had to come out of pocket $1500. If he messed up again, that is your problem not mine so I shouldn't have to pay that. He basically said that we already spent money and not putting more into it but I kept telling him, that it was an issue they caused. You took liability for it already when you paid for the first incident then you come back saying, "oh trade out it"? He stated that was all he could offer, so after I ask Mr Rey to bring my car around and explained to Mr. Rey (Because Josh was becoming disrespectful).
Car drifts to left in any lane while driving on highway. You have to hold the wheel firmer to the right to keep it straight at highway speeds than on local roads. Was not like this new, but with 35K miles something is wrong. Alignment done by two different Honda Dealers who had different print outs from a Hunter Alignment Machine. Second dealer’s helped some but you get a arm workout driving this car and unsafe for my wife to drive.
Air bag light comes and goes I have friends with the same vehicle having the same issue but there is no recall for it yet
An Issue with the black accessory grille that started to bubble up with no reason and this is an issue with Honda Accord sport because of the black accessory grille
Driving 70 mph down 1-70 in MO. And the car self brakes down to 40 mph in a matter of a second and nothing in front and thank God nothing in the rear of us this has happened 3 times total and is a wreck about to happen
I started my car this morning and I got a message saying Supplemental Passenger Error contact the dealer. Also, this car once a week will brake like if another car is in front of me on a busy highway I travel going home from work. This will cause someone to have a heartache especially when there is a big rig coming at speed behind you. Please look into these problems!
Braked auromatically on highway at 65mph due to flying bag in front of car. Very dangerous! Thank God no one was behind us.
"Supplemental Restraint System Problem. See Your Dealer" and the air bag warning light was turned on multiple times. Upon turning off and restarting the vehicle, the warning lights are not turned on sometimes. But at random times, the failure reoccurred persistently. Noticed that my vehicle has 5 different Recalls but my VIN only has one recall needed(?). Managed to figure out that the SRS system is faulty due to the front passenger's belt buckle being stuck sometimes. Dealership won't let me replace the belt buckle for free since my VIN is not part of the recall process. Faulty SRS won't work if accident occurs and driver is at the risk always. Also, during driving there is a weird struting noise that happens behind the steering wheel. Can't seem to make out what or where the noise is coming from.
The vehicle would overheat and lose power. At first, the dealer stated that they could not find the issue, which continued. I was not able to drive the vehicle, and I am a first responder, which caused issues getting to my job. Finally, one of the dealers advised that the head gasket had to be replaced. The dealer insisted that the head gasket was not covered under warranty despite my keeping the vehicle regularly serviced.
I have had several times where the "BRAKE" alert comes on the dash and the car brakes and will not excel. Note.. this happens when there is absolutely NOTHING in front of me. This is apparently a common issue as I am seeing that many people have reported this. I have reached out to my dealer with this however, because it does it when it wants to and not all the time, they have not been able to see it happen or know why.
1.the AC is not working no more I told the people at the Honda dealer that it will hiss and my car will vibrate in the seats and this been going on for 2 years and I had Honda care and the people at the dealership told me it’s not nun to worry saying it’s common for Honda now I don’t have AC at all
On 01-31-2023 at 5pm my Accord (2019, 27k miles) experienced a limp mode condition on the Highway forcing me to pull over onto the shoulder and restart the car. I was traveling for 4+ hours in rain / misting rain on the way to North Carolina for a business trip. I went to pass a slow moving vehicle, and the car’s check engine light began to flash 2 seconds after I hit the accelerator. The car’s check engine light began to flash and the car would not exceed 40mph, indicating it had entered a limp mode condition. This forced me to pull over onto the shoulder. After a restart, the car performed as normal with no CEL. I took the car to Advance Auto parts to see if the ECU captured any codes - 3 “pending” codes were stored - P0300 random misfire, P0301 Cylinder 1 misfire, P0304 Cylinder 4 misfire. I took the car to Shockley Honda in Frederick MD on 02/06/2023 and the pending codes had cleared / a diagnosis of possible traction control engagement was given - I am 100% certain this was the check engine light / limp mode, and that this is an incorrect diagnosis. Honda has a TSB for this exact issue: https://www.driveaccord.net/attachments/a21-052-pdf.531063/ Additionally I have dash camera footage to collaborate my account of events, including the event occurring; pulling over on the side of the road; and the trip to advance auto, where you can hear me reading the codes Car entering limp mode on highway: https://youtu.be/1E9RKIH-MnM Drive to advance auto: https://youtu.be/esqrADVXfsA Reading codes: https://youtu.be/5fN10jBiChw Multiple other owners have experienced similar issues in similar weather conditions in their 2.0T Accords https://www.driveaccord.net/threads/check-engine-light-cel-in-the-rain-went-into-limp-mode.502130/page-11 This incident lead to unsafe vehicle operation through a loss of power scenario in adverse weather. Honda customer service and the dealer have so far failed to address the issue in the TSB per my insistence.
Travelling at approximately 47 mph, with nothing in front of me, the car's emergency braking system engaged completely unexpectedly, slamming my car to a stop. This caused a pick-up truck, to hit me from behind. The emergency brake light appeared at the exact same time as the car's emergency brakes applied. The driver of the other car confirmed there was nothing in front of me. The Honda dealer where I brought the car the next day stated there was nothing wrong with the camera or radar system. This failure caused an accident, and could have been much worse.
Was driving at a normal speed all light turned on car didn’t want to speed up even pushing the gas
I have had (2) headlight assembly replacements on my Touring due to water infiltration into the housing causing obscurity of the beam. I am now having a third headlight assembly problem due to water infiltration. This is under standard wear conditions and no damage to the components. I've heard other drivers having the same issue. Honda is refusing to resolve the issue for me.
Airbag light came on two times (December 21 @4:38 pm & 29 @10:41 am 2022) and each time vehicle was taken in for service. The warning lights comes on & it reads, "supplemental restraint system problem, see your dealer". The mechanic believe it is due to a chip in the dashboard - they have not confirmed. A recall should be issued, because the orange indicator light stay lite and the reason for the "airbag indicator light" malfunction, needs to be addressed.
There is a recall for fuel pumps and mines is making a loud noise.
On Dec of 2022 I expereienced my first encounter with the recall and my engine was affected. I was on a busy Highway when the car made some weird noises and then stalled. When I took the car to the mechanic, he stated I needed a new engine. I couldnt understand why however I needed my car and had to get it fixed. Months later, my car again, leaves me on the side of a congested street, because it stalled. This time, im told its the fuel pump. For two months every week, I am at the mechanic because it ends up that my car has two fuel pumps and both went bad. I end up hearing about the fuel pump recall after I spent $8600 on getting my car fixed. I am imploring for full reimbursment. This matter left me on sides of roads many a times and need assistance with getting my monies back.
I saw that this is already under investigation by nhtsa and want to add my name to the list. The car randomly brakes at times for no reason which I find extremely dangerous. It's never caused an accident for me, but I've had at least a dozen near misses of being rear-ended. I've tried to turn off the automatic braking but it still randomly slams on the brakes by itself. This system needs to be disabled as it's just a ticking time bomb. Your form won't let me answer the questions so I'll do it here: Date: Always Speed: Any speed Mileage: Since I purchased the car new.
I have 2019 Honda collision mitigation braking system problems, other driver-assist technologies with 2019 Honda accord vehicles also routinely issue false safety alerts. Honda Sensing technologies include Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) all issues my 2019 has . The dealer states it’s multi purpose camera module is at fault needs expensive replacement and labor in excess of $ 1800
2019 Honda Accord LX I purchased this car late September in 2022 from Mclarty Honda in Little Rock, Ar with less than 25,000 miles. To date the brakes have locked up multiple times on my way to work for no reason whatsoever and I have a witness to every time. I would be driving down hwy46 headed to Sheridan, Ar and the brakes would engage for no reason and completely stop my car in the middle of the road. Nothing would be in the road for it to sense/detect or whatever to even need to apply the brakes. I recorded a video of the brakes smoking like my car was on fire just yesterday morning when i got to work. I’ve called the dealership multiple times and they have no response or reason for why my car is doing this, I have even scheduled it to be repaired two times and the dealership hasn’t been able to fix the problem and it pisses me off they are even able to sell such a piece of shit vehicle. The dealership along with honda should be held accountable, apparently they have known about this issue since 2015 and yet to do anything to correct the issue just swept it under the rug and left the consumer to deal with their problems. Whats even worse is Congress has made it a law that new vehicles are required to have this worthless piece of technology installed on each vehicle, smh like they have any clue what the American people want or need lol and why is it taking so long for NHSTA to get a response from Honda? This is ridiculous and the people who are in charge need to get off their butt and get something done for the people instead of their pocketbook. Real talk
11/18/22 (92,495 mi.) - All warning lights on at home and diagnosed at a Honda dealership, after daily rough idle in the mornings. Dealer diagnosed injectors had failed air/fuel test. They replaced pipe set, fuel joint and fuel injector set (all injectors). Covered under extended warranty. 11/30/22 (92, 506 mi.) - When picking up vehicle at dealership after repair, vehicle started running rough again, all diagnostic lights went on. Coolant was found leaking into cylinders when engine is cold, causing misfire. It was determined misfire caused by leaking head gasket. They replaced: head gasket, crank seal, valve coveer gasket, thermostat housing gasket and spark plugs. Covered under extended warranty. 12/18/23 (112,774 mi.) - Same failure mode appeared: all warning lights turned on, rough idle due to cylinder misfire. Took vehicle to a different Honda dealership. They verified code P0304. Cleared code, came right back. Found engine hot, coolan level empty. dry collant noticed visually on driveer side of motor, indicative of falied cylinder head gasket. Diagnosed gasket needed replacement. Currently being repaired at previous dealership.
The contact’s mother owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated on multiple occasions while the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle jolted back and forth. The check engine warning light also illuminated while accelerating. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the brake booster assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 73 MPH, the vehicle ceased to accelerate with the check engine, brakes, and tire pressure warning lights illuminated. Additionally, the message indicating an engine failure and contacting the local dealer was displayed. The contact was able to pull over safely, turned off and restarted the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as designed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the contact was informed that the head gasket had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was 110,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the contact heard a sound like a gunshot coming from the sunroof before the sunroof shattered into tiny pieces. The contact managed to drive the vehicle home and contacted the manufacturer and was instructed to take the vehicle to a dealer for inspection. The vehicle was taken the dealer where she was informed that a rock had struck the sunroof, causing the sunroof to shatter. The contact was shown the point of impact. The contact contended the report and stated that there was no debris on the roadway that should have caused the sunroof glass to shatter. The contact was given a case number. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle started to stall. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to park the vehicle at a nearby parking lot. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the transmission to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 158,000.
Turn signal and headlight assembly. Turn signal and headlight assembly intermittently not working. I believe there is a design flaw in the headlight assembly letting moisture build up causing the electronics to fail.
I will be driving down the road and my screen will turn its self off and then back on.
I had the recalled fuel pump replaced at Miller Honda in Winchester, VA on 6/17/21. Since hen, I have driven my car only 10,000 miles more. Yesterday, at Joe's Auto it was diagnosed my car needs the fuel pump replaced. Did Honda really fix the problem?
My car has stranded me 3 times by not cranking. I have taken it to Gerald JONES Honda 3 times and they claim they can’t find nothing in the codes. They told me sounds like a fuel pump but mind wasn’t covered under recall. I have on 25255 miles on car and shouldn’t be having these issues . I made a video to show them how it will not crank. I am trying to share video but it will not take.
I bought this car used in August 2022. September 2022, I paid for diagnostics because every warning light was on. They returned the car and the warning lights were clear. They eventually reappeared. I called, complained and was told I would need to pay for another diagnostic. This has been an ongoing problem. The lights are: Collision Mitigation, braking system problem. TPMS system problem, check tire pressure. Brake System problem, brake performance may be reduced. Brake system, brake hold system problem, apply brake when stopped. Electric power steering system problem, steering assist reduced. Vehicle stability assist system problem, reduced traction and handling. Hill start assist problem, vehicle may roll upon brake release. ACC, adaptive cruise control system problem. Road departure mitigation system problem. Emission system problem, avoid heavy acceleration and high speed. When the battery is disconnected for 15 minutes, then reconnected the lights clear, only to reappear within a few miles of driving. This is very concerning. My teenager will be driving soon and this is an unacceptable safety issue.
Driving my 2019 Honda Accord on major Interstate at night when car suddenly brakes hard at 75 mph with no other vehicles or oblects around. The car's AEB/CMBS systems were on at the time of the hard breaking which occured twice with 3 minutes of each other. I was fortuanate no vehicles were behind us because we could have been seriously rear ended. I have contacted and notified the incident to the Honda Dealership I bought the car from, but no response yet within 5 hours since I called them. No issues with the car prior to the incident
For the past 3 years my car has started breaking on it’s own when there is no reason to. There are no cars or anything in front of me. It has been doing the breaking on it’s own more often and now is worrying me more. It once breaked me when i was on the interstate going 75! And other times when I’m in heavy traffic. I need something to be done about this. I don’t want to have my kids with me when this happens again and it causes an accident..I don’t need my car to cause an accident at all. Please let me know what will be done about this problem with my car. I can’t afford shop fees to get my car looked at. I am asking if this problem can please be fixed. Thank you. Have a good day.
Is Honda ever going to correct their air conditioning issues? This is the second vehicle from Honda that I’ve purchased brand new that has a/c issues in under a year. The first time, I just stuck it out and sweated to death in my car until my lease ended, now I can’t do that for the safety of my children while living in the Deep South. It’s incredibly dangerous for drivers to sit in a hot car- even if the windows are down.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 75 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the road. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was driven to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the wheel bearings had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 79,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
We own a Honda Accord with approximately 39,405 miles on it when we took it to the Bob Howard Honda Dealership located at 13201 North Kelley Oklahoma City, OK 73131 for repair/diagnosis on August 25, 2022. The failure of the Honda included every sensor displaying in the vehicle from emission to lane change, etc. The dealership stated that the only code they noticed was a low fuel pressure but there was no issue other than that and these new cars are sensitive to low gas in vehicles which they felt contributed to every emergency sensor warning displayed with safety issues. We picked vehicle back up and on August 27, 2022, my wife was stranded cause the vehicle just stopped and would not start again with the same codes as before. Just quit running while driving which was very unsafe for my wife. It took well over 3 hours waiting for vehicle to be towed cause HONDA doesn't have a shift release easily accessible on their ACCORD models when vehicle is unable to start and to be put in neutral cause it won't start. We had vehicle towed back to Bob Howard Honda and on Monday, August 29, 2022 they stated it needed a fuel pump which would cost around $1007.00. However, the fuel pumps are on back order with no timeframe for delivery and the warranty for this vehicle expired apparently at 36,000 miles. First off fuel pump should not have failed this soon for a brand new Honda Accord or any vehicle for that matter. This is a failure in manufacturing.
The automatic braking system malfunctioned and started to brake for no reason, with no car in front and/or no other safety risk. Luckily there was no car behind me which most likely would have resulted in a rear end collision; which put myself and other at risk. The warning lamp on my dash was flashing brake as the vehicle was braking. I am afraid to drive the car due to safety concerns.
As I was driving down the interstate, it had been raining hard, but the speed had increased and we were going around 70-75, speed limit 70. I was in the far left lane when the lane all of a sudden was ending. I had to work my way over fast, so i kicked it to move over to the next lane, and when i did, I lost ALL power in the vehicle. I was terrified !! I did have enough speed to get over one lane but there was a lot of traffic and i had to get over another one to stop on the shoulder. It was close but we did get over and stop without causing an accident. If I had of hit someone or someone hit me, it would have been a multi car accident with all the traffic and probably someone being killed, including my husband and I. This needs to be investigate before someone is killed .
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 45 MPH, the vehicle experienced phantom braking. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.
No warning lamps were on. Took the car to Honda of Murfreesboro TN I was told I had a blown head gasket fluid around cylinder 2 but my car has never ran out never had a issue I started to hear liquid bubble in dashboard turbo had to be replaced didn't fix the issue spark plugs are being replaced often to keep lamps off and car functions working properly antifreeze is being monitored because it's burning rapidly car goes into limp mode when you get up to certain speed on highway or when you go to pull out into traffic

For wheels tpms system warning keeps turning on stating I have low tire pressure. I would check tire pressure and it is normal 33-34psi which is the recommended tire pressure by Honda. I would recalibrate the tpms and it would turn back on after driving 20 miles. I do this daily and honda dealers claim there is no issue. When I turn on a curving road if there are cars parked on the street the emergency brake system would turn on and start braking.
[XXX] vehicle has stalled in the middle of the highway 2 times, and would shut off mid drive. both times the car would shut off, start loosing speed and go into limp mode, and then stop. when trying to turn the car on, the whole dash board would light up with different errors, RDM problem, TPMS, CMBS, engine system error, electric power steering, Adaptive cruise etc. I have taken the vehicle 3 weeks prior to the latest incident to a local dealer, DEAN HONDA (911 Clairton Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236), and they said they couldn't find the issue or cause. i have video and picture evidence of problem. looking at the vehicle model, 2019 Honda accord, there are 3 recalls which describe my issue, but when entering the vin number says that my specific vehicle does not have any recalls. this is very dangerous, not only for the occupants of the vehicle, but also other vehicles driving on the road, as i was in a close call 2 times already while driving the vehicle, and the dealer, and HONDA are not doing anything to prevent the issue from reoccurring. thank you email address for contact is [XXX] Sincerely, [XXX] files included, also a quick link for the files, with larger video quality https://photos.app.goo.gl/TeAVX54tLrPJcT1p7 INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
While driving with girlfriend. On a 30 mph street,in Avon,Mass. Suddenly my car brakes In gaged, with Bright “Brakes” on dashboard. Pulsed brakes, slowing me down to right side. Pulled right over, scared Obviously!! My car was bought Oct-2019. Only 14,000 miles on it. Mint Condition,so when this happened. Was very Shocked, not as others before me. This, really has me driving defensive. Waiting, for another episode. Not enjoying, the driving experience!!
My car was initially at Performance Honda due to engine failure on June 24, 2022. They called on July 20, 2022 and confirmed that my car engine was repaired and I picked it up on July 20, 2022. Then on July 23, 2022, I incurred the same engine failures as noted by the warning and error lights on my display panel. The car started slowing down while I was on the expressway creating a safety hazard but I was able to drive it to Performance Honda. The manager explained that the car needed a turbo and they had to asked Honda to approve the purchase to install it into my car. I dont know if the turbo is new or used or even under warranty but Performance Honda contacted me on August 8 and said again the engine was repaired. I've read where there are other owners experiencing similar issues. My car was still within warranty of my purchase date July 17, 2019 and the repairs were made under the warranty but I still incurred rental car expenses that have not been reimbursed to date.
