The contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed 35 MPH, and the contact pulled over. There were no warning lights illuminated. An incident took place where a vehicle hit mine on in the front end when the vehicle was parked about 3 weeks prior. August of 2022, one of my vehicles pistons flew out the side of the engine and thankfully onto the ground not injuring or killing anyone, waited and waited for AAA as there were issues getting them, the vehicle was brought to Vermette Auto Body in Feeding Hills MA, the insurance denied the claim for the engine after multiple experts saying it was not collision/insurance related that it was mechanical/manufactuor. The manufacturer when contacted at Balise Honda stated there was nothing they could do. The vehicle is now $10,000 in debt with at least 8,000 dollars worth of repair and considering the piston and rod were the culprit and there is now recalls on the other years I wanted to bring mine forward because I am now in substantial debt due to this and no vehicle nor the ability to purchase a new one. Prior the the incident I had to replace the alternator, Transmission, Blower motor as well. I put new brakes and rotors on too just prior and now the vehicle can’t move and it is parked at my grandmothers and i am [XXX] in College and this really put me in the hole and I have no vehicle. I hope this can be looked into and the resolution the replacement of the engine and anything else needed to complete the work and assist with a substantial payment to Ally Financial for the vehicle to help me get back on track with payment. or issue a new vehicle taking the old one off my hands and covering the costs to register it and taxes. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Transmission went out.
The CVT transmission resulted in the shaft breaking during operation. The car rolled in reverse and without the gears being switched.
The transmission plug pops out while driving and can cause fluid to spray everywhere. A known issue of vehicles of this types
I recently went in for an oil change and was told my transmission cap was missing. I have not had any work done on my car since the last oil change and no one touched the transmission fluid. The cap isn't even placed somewhere on the engine- it's just gone! I've driven hundreds of miles with no cap and there is no telling what debris has gone into the transmission fluid now. I will have to do a complete transmission fluid flush and replacement plus buy a new cap. I have seen others having the same issues as me and was told to report this to the NHTSA. This is my daily driver and I take children back and forth to school on the interstate daily. If my transmission had gone while I was driving I don't know what could have happened.
Transmission fill plug frequently pops out due to pressure, causing debris enter the engine, resulting in damaging it. It appears it's a known issue but Honda mechanic failed to check the plug when we brought the car for service.
ON 5/14/2020 IN THE AFTERNOON, I PARKED MY 2015 HONDA CIVIC EX L IN MY DRIVEWAY AND TOOK GROCERIES IN THE HOUSE. I CAME BACK OUT WITHIN A FEW MINUTES AND THERE WAS A FIRE STARTING IN THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE (BATTERY AREA). THE BATTERY WAS INSTALLED LESS THAN 9 MONTHS AGO AT A HONDA DEALERSHIP. I NOW FIND OUT ACCORDS WERE RECALLED FOR BATTERY FIRES, WHY NOT CIVICS ? *TR
When I cold start my car it’s making this horrible metal cutting blade kind of sound sometimes, That goes away 5 seconds after cold starting the problem is the vtc actuator, many dealers took a look to not only mine but also my friends 2014 civic si, they said it was the vtc actuator and that they nor anyone else will fix the issue. This has also happened to handfuls of others.
VEHICLE VIBRATES WITH NOISE WHEN IN REVERSE MODE. DEALER AND HONDA CLAIM IT IS NORMAL. IT SEEMS THAT THIS PROBLEM IS ALREADY WIDELY KNOWN TO MANY HONDA OWNERS. THE VIBRATION HAPPENS MORE WITH ECON MODE IS SWITCHED ON. THIS CREATES THE FEELING THAT THIS CAR ENGINE IS NOT MOUNTED WELL AND IT COULD LEAD TO MAJOR ACCIDENT DURING DRIVING. THERE WERE SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO ALREADY CHANGED THEIR ENGINE MOUNTS ONLY WHEN CAR HAS LOW MILEGE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CIVIC. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND VIBRATION COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT WARNING.
