While the contact's daughter was outside of the vehicle, she discovered a large bubble on the front driver’s side tire. The contact was notified of the failure and instructed her daughter to take the vehicle to an independent mechanic where the tire was replaced with the spare tire. The contact initially notified the tire manufacturer about the failure and was informed that the failure might be related to a vehicle defect and referred the contact to a Honda dealer. The dealer was notified of the failure and declined responsibility for the failure. The manufacturer was called and referred the contact to an independent tire dealer that specializes in servicing Continental tires. The independent mechanic worked with the Continental manufacturer and offered the contact a replacement tire at 50% off. The tire was replaced. The tire and vehicle failure mileage were unknown.
