Vehicle developed a cold start misfire when starting in the mornings. It was doing it every so often since the 25th September but it is doing it more frequently now. Taking it in to the dealer to have faulty GDI fuel injectors replaced. Heard it is a common problem on hondas
I was driving on the highway and suddenly the gas engine turned off. I was only able to drive on battery power. Pushing the gas pedal only let me go 30 mph. The check engine light was flashing. I pulled over and shut off the car. When I restarted it worked fine. Check engine light was not on anymore. I took the car to the dealership and they could not find any stored codes or replicate the event. Looking online I see many cases of similar problems and Honda can never duplicate it. It is very frightening to be going full highway speed and suddenly loose power. [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The electronic dashboard looks like a video game. Both the book and the dealer told me that I must watch the dashboard for the signal that the electric vehicle or EV mode is ready to engage. I must then with my right hand press a button that is below the entertainment center. There is also an economy mode. Again the dashboard tells me when it’s ready and I’m supposed to push that button when that light appears This is very distracting and dangerous. This should all be done automatically by the computer
