As I'm turning at curve the steering locks up and sticks and I have to use a both hands to stay in my lane. You can easily hit a car turning the curve next to you when the steering locks up. I took it to dealer and they knew about having these issues from other CR-V and they said it's the steering rack. pinion. No lights or warning turn on when this happens. Other honda owners on reddit were having the same issues. It's where I found out I can put a complaint so this issue can be reviewed.
When turning on a curve the steering locks up/sticks for about 2 or 3 seconds and then it unlocks. When it locks up I could unlock it by using a bit of force to unlock/unstick it before it does by itself. I took to dealer and they say I need the whole steering rack. I have done research on this issue and I saw lots of 2023 crv owners are reporting the same issues. There is a recall to replace steering spring and to lubricate. But this recall issue is affecting cr-v whole rack and it should be in the recall. Honda did not make the steering properly and its causing many steering issues. There should be a recall on all steering issues. I currently have to drive my car with this issue because I don't have $4k for a new rack which is what they told me at dealer it cost. My crv is less than 2 years old and I should not be experiencing a issue like this and operating this vehicle which is not safe because Honda did not manufacture steering components correctly.
My car steering well gets randomly stuck for seconds at a time, Honda has failed to comply and help us get the steering wheel recall done since October 2024 and now February 2025. They keep saying we are on the list and they will send us a letter home or to keep waiting 12-15 days but there is no real help from Honda.
While driving the vehicle there’s a wobbling sound on the front. Morgan Hill Dealer said I have to replace 4 tires. The vehicle has less than 20k miles driven. Also it feels like the steering wheels gets sticky at times. The noise is getting worst. Please help?

At least two times I can recall after starting vehicle and shifting into reverse the car moved forward instead of reverse. I applied the brake and tried again, but the same thing happened. At that point I shifted into park, turned the vehicle off, and restarted it. After doing this and shifting into reverse the vehicle backed up normally. Fortunately I did not hit anything. Additionally another incident occurred where I was changing lanes to make a left turn at approximately 40 MPH the steering became very heavy and I was briefly unable to steer to change direction. While in the turning lane and unable to turn, I placed the vehicle in park, shut off the vehicle and restarted it. This cured the problem and I was able to proceed.

When attempting to turn left the steering began having some resistance. Initially it felt like a minor problem but then at higher speeds, like taking left hand curves on the freeway at 45 miles an hour, the car started abruptly jerking to the right. I had to fight the steering to try to keep the car in my lane but it slightly went into the right lane momentarily. I got off the freeway at the next exit and drove slowly on surface streets to get home. The next morning I took the car in to the Honda service department to address this issue. I was told the steering unit needed to be replaced but the parts were unavailable. After several days I have yet to find out how long until parts can be delivered. There were no warning signals or messages from the car prior to this issue. The car is presently at the Honda service department. It will remain there until it can be repaired and is safe to drive again. It should be available for inspection through Showcase Honda Service at 1333 E Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
The vehicle steering sticks and resists driver input. Safety is a concern as any steering malfunction or problem could be catastrophic. The dealership service department has verified the problem. There are no other indicators of any problems.
Took our 2023 CRV Hybrid in because the steering was sticking at 45 miles an hour, was told the steering rack needs replaced and is in back order for months and they have 4 ahead of us and just replaced 6 that were on back order for 4 months I think they said. Other consumers have reported waiting up to 8 months! people are driving their vehicles when others have reported their steering froze up on the freeway!! I am reporting so a recall can be established before if not already deaths occur. Our dealer has a warranty established to lease us a vehicle holding ours until the part comes in. I still have to pay the payment but at least the road will be safe.
On my 2023 Honda crv sport the steering wheel sticks, you have to constantly be correcting it. it is annoying and one could easily over compensate causing an accident.
Steering is sticky causing over corrections when driving
Steering sticks when going over any sort of lane departure. This is dangerous when exiting a tight offramp or coming on a tight onramp. Once the sterring wheel sticks it takes a second or two to unstick causing some near crashes for sure. Not able to get the car to replacte with a local honda dealer went back and took the foreman for a ride and still was not able to replicate it either.
Steering is exhibiting the twitching and pulling complained about by other owners.
