TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA CR-V. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK THE VEHICLE IN A PARKING SPACE, IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO A BUILDING WALL. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED THE ENTIRE TIME. POLICE REPORT NUMBER: 18-1356 WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THELEN HONDA IN BAY CITY, MICHIGAN, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 172,000.
THE HEAD LIGHT BULBS KEEP BLOWING OUT. GOOGLE IT. SOME HAVE REPLACE THERE'S 20 TIMES. WE ARE ON OUR 3RD OR 4TH AND IT'S BLOWN AGAIN. ONE PERSON CLAIMS THEY GOT 3 TICKETS. ANOTHER SAID BOTH OF THEIR HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING. NO ONE KNOWS WHY. THEY SUGGEST ELECTRICAL HARNESS WHICH WE DID HAVE OTHER PROBLEMS PREVIOUSLY WHERE THAT CAME UP BUT IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE TO FIX.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING HOME AND STARTED TO SLOWLY ACCELERATE AFTER BEING AT A STOPLIGHT (IT WAS HAVING DIFFICULTY ACCELERATING THEN WHEN I GOT UP TO 15MPH THERE WAS A VERY LOUD POP AND IT DIDN'T WANT TO REALLY WANT TO CONTINUE ACCELERATING BUT LUCKY I WAS ALMOST HOME ) AND MY A/C COMPRESSOR EXPLODED AND SENT SHARDS OF MEDAL THOUGH MY ENTIRE A/C SYSTEM. I WAS TOLD IT WAS CALLED "BLACK DEATH" MY SERPENTINE BELT LUCKY KEPT SPINNING AROUND THE LOCKED CLUTCH FOR ME TO GET HOME. I AM HAVING TO REPLACE MY A/C COMPRESSOR, CONDENSER, HIGH AND LOW LINES, EVAPORATOR CORE, EXPANSION VALVE, AND FLUSHING THE LINES THAT DON'T CHANGE. IT IS CURRENTLY IMMOBILE IN MY DRIVEWAY UNTIL I CAN GET IT COMPLETELY REPAIRED. MY CAR WAS BUILT 10/2004
I HAD THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG REPLACED UNDER RECALL. RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE ON PASSENGER AIR BAG AND HAD IT REPLACE. AFTER THAT RECALL, THE SRS WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND WON'T GO OFF. HAD HONDA DEALER CHECK IT AND WAS TOLD THAT IT'S THE DRIVER'S SIDE SENSOR IN THE SEAT BELT CLIP. COST WOULD BE OVER $800.00 TO FIX. IF SRS LIGHT IS ON AIR BAG WON'T DEPLOY. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON IT SINCE THE SRS LIGHT WAS NOT CAUSING A PROBLEM UNTIL THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WAS REPLACED. CAR HAS ABOUT 82,000 MILES ON IT.

MY AC COMPRESSOR IS OUT SO MY AC IS NOT WORKING.
TAKATA RECALL "SIDE AIRBAG OFF" LIGHT IS ON AND IS NO LONGER TURNING OFF WHEN VEHICLE IS STARTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA CR-V. WHILE PULLING OUT OF THE GARAGE AT 5 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND IT CRASHED INTO THE WOODS. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CALIPERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

AND THIS ALL HAPPENED STATIONARY, IN MOTION, ON A CITY STREET, OR A HIGHWAY, TURNING, BRAKING, ETC. AND IT IS A PROBLEM THAT CREATED THE UNSAFE CONDITION. I WROTE ABOUT MY HEADLIGHT GOING OUT TWICE IN THE LAST 3 WEEKS, WELL JUST NOT AS I LEFT TO GET SOME GROCERIES, MY DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT AGAIN. DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY NHTSA AND HONDA ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING TO FIX WHAT IS CLEARLY MANUFACTURERS DEFECT.
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT, THIS IS MY SECOND REPLACEMENT IN 3 WEEKS. DON'T KNOW IF THE LEFT ONE WILL GO OUT TOO BUT I LIVE IN A WOODSY AREA AND AM TERRIFIED THAT AS I AM DRIVING DOWN THE WINDING ROAD I WILL BE LEFT WITHOUT LIGHTS. I CARRY A FLASHLIGHT WITH ME NOW. IT'S MANDATORY. HONDA PLEASE ISSUE RECALLS FOR THE FAULTY HEADLIGHTS.
THIS YEAR I HAVE REPLACED MY DRIVER RIGHT SIDE HEADLIGHT BULB 3 TIMES IT GOES OUT FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON. CLEARLY THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT WHICH HONDA SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL.
2015 DRIVER AIRBAG RECALL, 2017 PASSANGER AIRBAG RECALL. TWO DAYS BEFORE BAG RRPLACED THE SRS LIGHT STAYED ON. HONDA SERVICE SAID IT WAS UNRELATED AND THE CPULD NOT TURN IT OFF AND I WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK TO DIAGNOSIS AND IT MAY COST THOUSANDS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING, THE SRS INDICATOR FOR THE SEAT BELT ILLUMINATED AND THE SEAT BELT HAD A LOT OF SLACK. SUSSEX HONDA (57 HAMPTON HOUSE RD, NEWTON, NJ 07860, (855) 860-7860) PERFORMED AN UNKNOWN RECALL REPAIR REGARDING THE AIR BAGS. THE CONTACT HAD AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC SPEAK TO THE MANUFACTURER TO CONFIRM THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. WHEN HE TRIED TO ORDER A PART, THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT IT COULD BE A YEAR BEFORE THE PART ARRIVES. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CR-V WAS THE ONLY MODEL IN 2005 NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
THE REAR DOOR LIGHT WARNING GO OFF AND ON ALL THE TIME AND THE REAR DOOR HINGES ARE WEARING OUT A LOT.. I FEEL THE REAR DOOR EVERYTIME I HIT A POTHOLE IS MOVE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 202,000.
AIR CONDITIONING DOES NOT WORK.
TAKATA RECALL- FRONT END HIGHWAY BUMPER TO BUMPER COLLISION AT APPROX 40 MPH- AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY CAR HAD THE TAKATA RECALL AIRBAG REPLACED A FEW MONTHS AGO AT A LICENSED HONDA DEALER BUT THE NEWLY REPLACED AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY
A/C STOPPED WORKING I LIVE IN HAWAII AND NEED IT TO HELP CONDENSATION ON INSIDE WINDSHIELD AND SIDE WINDOWS WHEN IT RAINS. READ THERE ARE A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH CRV A/C UNITS FAILING. WAS JUST DRIVING ALONG WHEN I NOTICED WARM AIR WAS COMING FROM A/C IN ON POSITION NOW LOUD NOISES FROM THE UNIT.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS EVER SINCE WE PURCHASED THE CAR, WE'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE LOW BEAM BULBS EVERY FEW WEEKS. THEY BURN OUT AT COMPLETELY RANDOM TIMES (ITS HAPPENED BOTH WHILE IN MOTION AND STATIONARY, IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS AS WELL AS OUT DRIVING THROUGH COUNTRYSIDE, FREEWAYS; BASICALLY EVERYWHERE). NOT ONLY IS THIS AN INCONVENIENCE DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF MONEY SPENT ON REPLACEMENTS, IT'S ALSO EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THEY'VE BURNED OUT ON NIGHT DRIVES IN THE COUNTRYSIDE WHERE OUR ONLY OPTION WAS TO USE HIGH BEAMS THE REST OF THE WAY, ETC. UNACCEPTABLE THAT HONDA HAS NOT YET ACKNOWLEDGED THE ISSUE, EVEN THOUGH IT'S VERY WELL DOCUMENTED ONLINE AS BEING AN ISSUE. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE UP THROUGH 2004 CR-V'S BUT THEY'VE NOT EXTENDED TO THE 05 MODEL YEAR.
WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR FEELS AS THOUGH IT SKIPS WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS PRESSED, THEN WHEN STOPPED AT A LIGHT, THE ENGINE MOMENTARILY "DIES", THE GENERAL WARNING SIGNAL AND THE VSA/ABS/AIRBAG/BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON AND THEN THE ENGINE SNAPS BACK ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY RETRIEVED FAILURE CODES IN THE ABS CONTROL MODULE: YAW RATE SENSOR FAILURE; SENSOR CLUSTER FAILURE. THE DEALER RESET THE CODES, COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND TOLD ME TO COME BACK IF IT DOES IT AGAIN. MY CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND HAS BEEN PARKED SINCE 6/1/17. I CONTACTED HONDA AND WAS ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER, BUT HAVE NOT SPOKEN TO ANYONE SINCE FILING THE COMPLAINT. AFTER RESEARCHING THE SYMPTOMS ON THE INTERNET, I DISCOVERED SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. WHEN I RESEARCHED THE CODES, I DISCOVERED THAT THE NHTSA HAD HONDA RECALL THE 2005 PILOT, ACURA MDX AND ACURA RLS. I HAVE A VIDEO OF IT HAPPENING BUT AM UPLOADING SCREENSHOTS. BUT I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO PROVIDE THE VIDEO, THE SAME VIDEO I SHOWED THE DEALER.

THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY INCLUDED IN A RECALL REGARDING THE SIDE AIR BAGS (THE EXACT LOCATION OF THE AIR BAG WAS UNKNOWN) FOR WHICH THE REMEDY WAS COMPLETED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. CORNHUSKER TOYOTA HONDA (3510 KAUFMAN AVENUE, GRAND ISLAND, NE 68803; 308-382-4620) INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATION WAS SEPARATE FROM THE RECALL, AND THE CONTACT WOULD NEED TO PAY FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,500.
I AM CONSTANTLY HAVING TO CHANGE THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMPS ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS GO OUT AND STOP WORKING WHILE OPERATING ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE TRIED DIFFERENT BULBS, AND HAVE DETERMINED IT IS NOT ANY PARTICULAR TYPE OR QUALITY. THE NEW BULB WILL TYPICALLY LAST 1-3 MONTHS. THIS HAS BEEN COSTLY, AS WELL AS DANGEROUS FOR MY WIFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. I ALSO PREFER TO DRIVE WITH THE HEADLIGHTS ON DURING THE DAY FOR SAFETY, WHICH IS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE WHEN THEY ARE GOING OUT EVERY 1-3 MONTHS. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS, AND HAD FOUND IT TO BE A VERY COMON PROBLEM. I FOUND A POSSIBLE RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM ON THE 2002-2004 MODELS, BUT MINE IS A 2005 MODEL IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM OTHERS ARE REPORTING. FOR THE SAFETY OF MYSELF, AND OTHERS ON THE ROADWAY, AS WELL AS THE NUMEROUS OTHER VEHICLE OWNERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, I WOULD REQUEST THIS PROBLEM BE CONSIDERED AS A SAFETY RECALL. I ALSO HAVE DOCUMENTATION INCLUDING DATES AND MILEAGE FOR EACH BULB CHANGE WHICH IS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
PURCHASED NEW IN MARCH, 2005, WE QUICKLY LEARNED THAT THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ON OUR 2005 HONDA CRV BURN OUT FREQUENTLY, USUALLY ON BOTH SIDES AND WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF EACH OTHER. WHEN REPLACED, THEY WILL LAST ONLY A YEAR OR SO BEFORE BURNING OUT AGAIN. WE NOTICE THEY'RE BURNED OUT WHEN WE'RE DRIVING. WE USE THE HEADLIGHTS BOTH DURING THE DAY (FOR SAFETY) AND OF COURSE AT NIGHT. WE'VE TRIED SEVERAL DIFFERENT TYPES OF REPLACEMENT LAMPS, BUT NONE SEEM TO CHANGE THE PATTERN OF LAMP LIFE. MOST RECENTLY, I'VE REPLACED THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMPS FOUR TIMES (2 EACH SIDE) WITHIN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. LAST NIGHT WHEN TESTED AFTER REPLACEMENT, THE PASSENGER SIDE LAMP ONLY GLOWED (DUE TO A BAD GROUND CONNECTION?) AND MYSTERIOUSLY, THE BRIGHT BEAM LAMP ON THE SAME SIDE HAD ALSO QUIT WORKING. I HAVE DRIVEN APPROXIMATELY ONE MILLION MILES IN OTHER VEHICLES OVER THE PAST 27 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH SUCH FREQUENCY. BECAUSE OF THE FREQUENCY AND SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS DUE TO THE UNEXPECTED RECURRENCES, I HAVE NO CHOICE NOW BUT TO ASK THE LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP TO LOOK INTO THE PROBLEM. RESEARCH SHOWS THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS ENOUGH PROBLEM WITH OTHER MODEL YEARS OF THE SAME VEHICLE THAT IT HAS GENERATED SAFETY RECALLS. PLEASE WIDEN YOUR INVESTIGATION AND RESULTS TO INCLUDE SUBSEQUENT MODEL YEARS OF THE HONDA CRV'S, SPECIFICALLY 2005.
THE MASTER SWITCH FOR THE POWER WINDOWS INTERMITTENTLY DOES NOT WORK - WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. I HAVE NOW HAD IT DISCONNECTED BECAUSE THE SAME SWITCH IN OTHER HONDA C-RVS 2002-2006 HAS CAUSED MELTING OF THE SWITCH AND EVEN FIRES. MY VIN IS NOT PART OF THE CURRENT RECALL (NHTSA RECALL NUMBER: 12V-486) FOR THIS SWITCH DEFECT BUT I WONDER IF IT SHOULD BE? I HAVE REPORTED THIS ISSUE TO HONDA AND IT HAS BEEN RECORDED AS CASE # 05298119.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY, THE BACK WINDOW LATCH POPPED OPEN. I WAS NOT IN A PLACE WHERE I COULD ADDRESS IT @ THAT TIME, I WAS APPRACHING A TUNNEL. UNFORTUNATELY, BY THE TIME I COULD PULL OUT OF TRAFFIC, THE WINDOW WAS OPEN COMPLETELY. KIND OF A SCARY SITUATION. IT POPPED OPEN ONE OTHER TIME WHILE PARKED @ MY HOME.
"TAKATA RECALL"- MY WINDOW WILL NOT GO UP/DOWN ON THE DRIVER SIDE (FRONT). I WAS TOLD THAT MAYBE A SWITCHING PROBLEM OR THE MOTOR NEEDS TO REPLACED. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS.
I HAVE REPLACED THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT BULBS IN MY 2005 HONDA CRV 4 TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR. I WAS CAUTIOUS WITH THE LIGHTS DURING INSTILLATION MAKING SURE TO DO EVERYTHING RIGHT. FINALLY, DECIDED TO BRING UP THE ISSUE AS MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE CAR IN THE ROAD LAST NIGHT WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE WENT OUT. IT DECREASED HER VISIBILITY ON A COUNTRY HIGHWAY CAUSING HER TO HAVE TO SLOW DOWN A LITTLE TO MAKE SURE SHE COULD SEE. IT MADE THE CONDITIONS UNSAFE AND IT ALSO BRINGS UP THE POSSIBILITY OF RECEIVING A TRAFFIC TICKET DUE TO THE LIGHT BEING OUT. LUCKILY, SHE MADE IT HOME WITH NO ISSUES. HOWEVER, THE NEXT DAY, SHE TURNED ON THE CAR AND THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHTS WERE OUT. THE LIGHTS HAVE BEEN CONTINUALLY GOING OUT NO MATTER THE DRIVING SITUATION. BASED ON MY INTERNET SEARCHING, OTHERS SEEM TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND I NOTICED HONDA HAS A RECALL FOR 2002-2004 HEADLIGHT ISSUES BUT I BELIEVE THE RECALL NEEDS TO BE OFFERED TO THE LATER MODELS AS WELL. I BELIEVE IT TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE ELECTRICAL WIRING AND NOT THE HEADLIGHTS THAT I KEEP HAVING TO CONSTANTLY BUY. PLEASE HELP WITH ADDRESSING THE ISSUE TO HONDA.

THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ON MY 2005 VEHICLE REPEATEDLY BLOW OUT BULBS LEAVING ME WITH ONLY ONE AND POTENTIALLY NO LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS. ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE THE LIFE EXPECTANCY OF THE BULBS IS NO MORE THAN 4 MONTHS. THEY ARE UNRELIABLE AND MAY CEASE WORKING WHILE ON THE ROAD REDUCING MY VISIBILITY IN ALL TYPES OF WEATHER CONDITIONS AND AT NIGHT. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE THE SAME AS THE ONE FOR THE RECALL OF 2002-2004 CR-VS AND HAS BEEN REPORTED BY NUMEROUS OWNERS. I CONTACTED HONDA'S CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THAT THE VIN OF MY VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED AND UNLESS THE VIN WAS PART OF THE RECALL, THEY WOULD NOT HONOR CORRECTING THE PROBLEM. (CASE # 06225907) REQUEST INVESTIGATION TO HAVE 2005 CR-VS ADDED TO THE RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEAD LAMPS FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE HEAD LAMPS; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK LATER. THE CONTACT FOUND A RECALL RELATED TO THE FAILURE THAT STATED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS, LOCATED IN THE STEERING WHEEL MALFUNCTIONED, AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 190,000.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V34400 (AIR BAGS). THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. HEADLIGHTS GO OUT INTERMITTENTLY. I THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING OUT AND KEPT REPLACING BULBS, BUT NOW REALIZE THEY WILL COME BACK ON. I SEE MANY MANY POSTS FROM OTHERS WITH THIS SAME MODEL/YEAR COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS! THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2004, NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED TO 2005!
REAR BRAKES WERE FOUND BY REPAIR SHOP TO NOT BE WORKING AT ALL. WE HAD TO REPLACE THE MODULATOR ASSEMBLY. COST OF REPAIRS WAS $1800.00. WE HAVE SEEN THAT THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT MODULATOR ASSEMBLYS ON HONDA VEHICLES FAILING.

"TAKATA RECALL" - ON NOV 19, 2016, I HAD AN ACCIDENT. I WAS GOING DOWN A SANDY DIRT ROAD AND HEARD A LOUD POP OR BANG (ENDED UP BEING THE STABILIZER BAR BROKE) AND SUDDENLY THE STEERING WHEEL WAS JERKED TO THE LEFT, SLAMMING THE CAR INTO A DITCH WHERE THERE WAS A FULL EMBANKMENT. I WAS SLUNG TO THE LEFT, HITTING MY HEAD ON THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS AND THE SIDE SEAT AIRBAG DEPLOYED, BOUNCING ME BACK TO CENTER. TO MY SHOCK AND WONDER THE DRIVERS SIDE, STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG NEVER DEPLOYED, WHICH HAS CONCERNED ME EVERY SINCE THE ACCIDENT.
ABOUT EVERY MONTH WE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ON EITHER THE DRIVERS SIDE OR PASSENGER SIDE. WE HAVE REPLACE THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT ASSM AND USE SURGICAL GLOVES TO PUT IN THE BULBS. THEY BLOW ON THE ROAD AND NOBODY CAN EXPLAIN WHY AND IT IS DANGEROUS.IT STARTED AWHILE AGO.
TAMARA RECALL. DEALER MADE APPOINTMENT. DEALER CANCELLED APPOINTMENT FOR LACK OF PART. DEALER STATED WHEN PARTS ARRIVED IT WOULD NOTIFY AND RESCHEDULE. DEALER NEVER RESCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. IT HAS BEEN OVER 90 DAYS.
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FOR THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG IN THE MAIL. ON JULY 9, 2016, I CALLED THE AIRPORT MARINA HONDA DEALER (5850 W CENTINELA AVE, LOS ANGELES, CA 90045) TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE RECALL FIXED. THEY STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE RECALL. I CALLED THE DEALER A COUPLE OF TIMES TO CHECK ON THE STATUS. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN THEY CAN FIX THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH IT HAS ALREADY BEEN THREE MONTHS LATER.
TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR. RECEIVED NOTICE OF RECALL IN JULY. WE CALLED THE DEALER, HONDA OF ANNAPOLIS, TO SCHEDULE IT BUT WERE TOLD THE PART WAS NOT IN AND WE SHOULD CALL BACK IN 2 WEEKS. CALLED 5 MORE TIMES OVER THE NEXT 2 MONTHS AND WERE PUT OFF EVERY TIME. FINALLY TODAY THEY HAVE THE PART BUT CAN'T INSTALL IT FOR OVER A WEEK AND THE REPAIR WILL TAKE 3 TO 4 HOURS. WE CONTACTED AMERICAN HONDA FOR A LOANER AS ADVERTISED BUT WERE TOLD BY ROSA THAT BECAUSE WE HAVE A BACK SEAT, SHE COULD NOT AUTHORIZE IT. THIS SEEMS TO BE IN DIRECT CONFLICT WITH THE TERMS OF THE RECALL POSTED AT HONDAAIRBAGINFO.COM WHERE NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT LOANER VEHICLES ARE AVAILABLE IN CASES OF DELAYS.
TAKATA RECALL: I TOOK MY CAR IN TO GET THE AIRBAG REPLACED PER THE RECALL NOTICE. MY AIRBAG MALFUNCTION LIGHT CAME ON JUST AFTER THE REPLACEMENT. I TOOK THE CAR BACK AND THEY WANTED $125 JUST TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. A GARAGE SAID IT WAS THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE CAUSING THE PROBLEM. IN THE MANUAL IT CLEARLY STATES THAT "HONDA WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT ITS OPTION, ANY HONDA SEAT BELT COMPONENT THAT FAILS TO FUNCTION PROPERLY DURING ITS NORMAL USE. THIS INCLUDES ALL PARTS AND LABOR CHARGES." MY GREENWICH, CT HONDA SAID THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF THIS WARRANTY AND THEY WOULD NOT HONOR IT. I CALLED HONDA AMERICA, 2 PEOPLE SAID IT WAS COVERED, THE FINAL PERSON SAID NO. I HAVE READ FORUMS AND TALKED TO MANY OTHERS, AS YOU CAN SEE THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND MY AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT. IF IT IS THE SENSOR, THAT IS A COMPONENT OF THE SEAT BELT. IT IS CLEARLY FAULTY ON THESE CARS. ON FORUMS MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND SOME HONDAS HAVE FIXED IT FREE OF CHARGE, AND OTHERS WILL NOT. MY GARAGE GAVE ME A QUOTE OF $282 FOR PART AND $95 LABOR.

THE DEALERSHIP WANTED A $132 DIAGNOSTIC FEE TO DO THAT AND MENTIONED THAT THIS WAS NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL. HOWEVER, THE LIGHT CONVENIENTLY CAME ON RIGHT AFTER THE PREVIOUS RECALL SERVICE WAS DONE.
