SUDDEN FAILURE (WARNING LIGHTS) OF ABS AND VSA SYSTEMS. CAR BECOMES DIFFICULT TO HANDLE DURING SHIFTING GEARS. 2006 HONDA CRV LESS THAN 90,000 MILES. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE CAR. MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ON THE INTERNET. PLEASE INVESTIGATE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A LOUD BANG FROM HEARD FROM UNDER THE HOOD. IN ADDITION, THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT BEGAN TO EMIT HOT AIR. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE COMPRESSOR HAD EXPLODED. THE EXPLOSION DESTROYED THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT, IN WHICH THE FULL AIR CONDITIONING UNIT AND COMPRESSOR WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,979 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 102,000. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V486000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VISIBILITY) WHEN THE TECHNICIAN ALERTED THE CONTACT THAT THE STAMP ON THE PASSENGER-SIDE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM WAS FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN MADE THE CONTACT AWARE THAT RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V124000 (SUSPENSION) WAS RELATED TO THE FAILURE BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,022.
MY WIFE AND I HAVE OWNED OUR HONDA CRV SINCE EARLY 2006. IT HAS HAD NUMEROUS ELECTRICAL ISSUES, SPECIFICALLY ISSUES WITH THE HEADLIGHTS AND INTERIOR LIGHTS. WE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHT BULBS AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR SINCE PURCHASING THE CRV. IT IS CLEARLY A MAJOR DEFECT WITH THE HONDA CRV ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET BY OTHERS WITH THIS SAME ISSUE. HONDA IS RESPONSIBLE AND NEEDS TO RECALL THE CRV AND FIX THE ISSUE. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER HONDA AGAIN. *TR
I INCORRECTLY PUT THE CAR INTO DRIVE 1. I NOTICED MY MISTAKE AND CHANGED THE TRANSMISSION TO DRIVE. THE CAR'S COMPUTER PUT THE VEHICLE IN FULL THROTTLE. I BRAKED AND PUT THE TRANSMISSION INTO NEUTRAL AND THE RPM GAUGE SHOWED THE CAR TO BE IN FULL THROTTLE. I HAD TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND EVERYTHING WAS OK AFTER THIS INCIDENT. I AM 100% SURE THAT THE COMPUTER ON THIS VEHICLE HAS SOME PROBLEMS. *TR
WITH EVER-INCREASING REGULARITY, ONE OR BOTH LOW-BEAM BULBS HAVE BEEN BURNING OUT. HAVE REPLACED ONE OR BOTH AT LEAST 5 TIMES, THE LAST TIME WAS BOTH BULBS, AFTER EXACTLY 34 DAYS SINCE PURCHASED NEW AT O'REILLY'S. OWNER HAS INSTALLED BULBS EVERY TIME. ALL PRECAUTIONS WERE TAKEN, INCLUDING NOT TOUCHING THE BASE WITH BARE SKIN, OR GLASS - WITH ANYTHING. THE LAST TIME - 34 DAYS PRIOR TO LAST FAILURE - OWNER APPLIED TERMINAL GREASE TO BULB TERMINALS, EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS PLENTY ALREADY IN PLACE. RESEARCHING THE INTERNET, OWNER NOTED STORIES OF CORROSION OR HEAT DAMAGE ON TERMINALS OF HEADLIGHT SWITCHES OF CERTAIN HONDA MODELS. OWNER DISASSEMBLED HIS STEERING COLUMN, AND FOUND NO EVIDENCE. OWNER ALSO NOTICED EARLY ON (2013) WHAT APPEARED TO BE FLICKERING OR PULSING OF HEADLIGHTS AT NIGHT. OWNER INSTALLED PERMANENT DIGITAL VOLTMETER TO BATTERY, AND NOTICED NO FLUCTUATIONS IN VOLTAGE, WITH A STEADY VOLTAGE OF 14.15V UNDER NORMAL NIGHTTIME CONDITIONS. THE LAST PAIR OF BULBS TO BURN OUT WERE EXAMINED. OWNER NOTED THAT THE COILED PORTION OF THE TUNGSTEN ELEMENT WAS COMPLETELY INTACT. THE WIRE JUST BEFORE OR JUST AFTER THE COILED PORTION HAD BEEN INTERRUPTED, AND A SMALL BALL OF MOLTEN TUNGSTEN WAS AT THE END OF THE SEVERED WIRE OPPOSITE THE COIL. ONE BULB HAD THE BALL ON WIRE JUST "UPSTREAM", THE OTHER BULB HAD BALL ON THE "DOWNSTREAM" SIDE OF ELEMENT. *TR
HEADLIGHT WENT OUT AGAIN. I HAVE REPLACED HEADLIGHTS APPROXIMATELY EVERY 3 MONTHS IN THE LAST 2 YEARS. APPEARS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE, AS REFLECTED IN RECALLS FOR EARLIER MODEL CRV'S. HONDA NEEDS TO DO RECALL FOR THIS FOR LATER MODEL CRV'S. *TR
DRIVER'S SIDE VISOR BEGAN TO SAG AND FINALLY WILL NOT STAY UP. IT IS APPROXIMATELY 5 INCHES FROM THE ROOF OF THE VEHICLE, CAUSING A SAFETY CONCERN. I ALSO HIT MY HEAD ROUTINELY ENTERING AND EXITING THE VEHICLE. DEALER ADVISES THEY ARE UNAWARE OF ANY PATTERN OF FAILURE WITH VISORS ON THE 2006 CRV, AND ARE ONLY AWARE OF PROBLEMS WITH VISORS ON CIVICS. I HAVE READ BLOGS SHOWING THERE ARE ACTUALLY NUMEROUS REPORTS OF FAILURES, AND REPEATED REPAIRS FOR THIS PROBLEM ON THE 2006 MODEL. THEY ADVISE THE CHARGE WILL BE $150.00 PLUS LABOR TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. *TR
REPEATEDLY THE HEADLIGHT BULBS BLOW OUT. PURCHASED CAR USED 10/2012, REPLACED BULB 12/2012, AGAIN 6/2013 AND NOW ANOTHER ONE BLOWN 10/2013. *TR
DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW IS MALFUNCTIONING. IT GETS STUCK IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION, THUS NOT CLOSING THE WINDOW. SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE WINDOW WILL STICK AND NOT DISENGAGE TO ROLL BACK DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN INTO TO HONDA WITH THE RECALL NOTICE. THE ADVISOR DID NOT READ RECALL NOTICE AND TOLD ME THAT THE WINDOW WOULD BE SEALED. TWO HOURS LATER, THE WINDOW WAS STICK STUCK IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION NOT FIXED. 12/15/2012, TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK INTO HONDA. I TOLD THE ATTENDANT THAT THE MASTER POWER SWITCH NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED DUE TO THE RECALL. THE WINDOW IS STILL MALFUNCTIONING. THE ADVISOR THEN SAID IT IS A MOTOR PROBLEM, AND DISREGARDED THE RECALL NOTICE. I SAID I WILL CALL AMERICAN HONDA FOR MORE INFORMATION. THE REPAIR HAS NOT BEEN MADE. *TR
BOTH LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAILED ON NOVEMBER 25, 2012 WHILE ON A CROSS-COUNTRY TRIP. A HONDA DEALER CHECKED THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THE FOLLOWING MORNING AND REPORTED NO PROBLEMS. THE DEALER REPLACED BOTH BULBS AND ADVISED THAT HONDA CR-VS WERE PRONE TO HEADLIGHT PROBLEMS. ON THE EVENING OF APRIL 23, 2013 (LESS THAN FIVE MONTHS AFTER THE FIRST DOUBLE FAILURE, VEHICLE MILEAGE APPROXIMATELY 106,800 MILES), BOTH LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAILED AGAIN. THE DEALER WHERE WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE CHECKED THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THE FOLLOWING MORNING AND REPORTED NO PROBLEMS. THIS DEALER ALSO REPLACED THE BULBS AND ADVISED THAT HONDA CR-VS WERE PRONE TO HEADLIGHT PROBLEMS. IN BOTH INSTANCES, WE NOTICED THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT FAILURES AT DUSK, AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE. WE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW IN NOVEMBER 2005 AND THESE ARE THE ONLY INSTANCES OF HEADLIGHT FAILURE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO ROLL THE FRONT DRIVER SIDES WINDOW DOWN BUT IT FAILED TO OPEN. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR WILL NOT STAY UP. I WENT TO HONDA OWNERS' WEBSITE AND PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM. THERE ARE HONDA CR-V OWNERS WHO HAD REPLACED THE SUN VISORS ON THEIR CARS MORE THAN THREE TIMES. THEY AND I THINK IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE DRIVERS DON'T HAVE PROTECTION FROM SUNLIGHT AND HAVE DIFFICULTY SEEING THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS WHEN THE SUN VISOR IS DOWN. *TR
I HAD A BRAKE LIGHT GO OUT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE 2006 CR-V. I REPLACED THE LIGHT BULB, BUT WHEN YOU PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL, IF THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON, THE BREAK LIGHT WILL NOT WORK. I TALKED WITH NUMEROUS PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET AND AT THE AUTO PARTS STORE WHO HAVE HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SAME MODEL OF VEHICLE AS MINE (CR-V). MY HONDA MASTER MECHANIC BELIEVES THAT THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS ELECTRICAL PROBLEM BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY OF THESE THAT HE HAS SEEN AND THAT HAVE BEEN SEEN BY DEALERSHIPS. IS THERE A REASON WHY HONDA HAS NOT RECALLED THE 2006 HONDA CR-V FOR THIS ELECTRICAL PROBLEM? I BOUGHT 6 DIFFERENT LIGHTS, THINKING THAT MAYBE I JUST BOUGHT A BAD LIGHT OR LIGHTS. I ALSO SWITCHED THE LIGHTS WITH THE LIGHT THAT WORKS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE (DRIVER'S SIDE), BUT IT WON'T WORK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. IF PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ON THE INTERNET AND EVERYWHERE, BUT NOT FILING A COMPLAINT ON HERE, I FIGURED THAT NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN, SO THAT IS WHY I AM SENDING THIS INFORMATION IN, IN HOPES THAT SOMEONE WILL LOOK INTO THE PROBLEM. I WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 25MPH AND BOTH HEADLIGHTS SUDDENLY WENT OUT. I HAD TO USE MY HIGH BEAMS TO GET HOME. *TR
MY ANTI LOCK BRAKES HAVE STOPPED WORKING, AND THE VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL DOES NOT WORK. I HAVE A 2006 CRV WITH ONLY 20,000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME THIS HAPPENED. HONDA TOLD ME IT IS OVER 2000 TO FIX AND IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND WILL NOT BE RECALLED. THEY SUGGESTED THAT IT ISN'T A SAFETY ISSUE, AND THAT I DON'T NEED TO GET IT FIXED. I THINK THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED, SINCE MY BRAKES WILL NOT WORK IN SNOW, ICE OR RAIN AND I LIVE IN WISCONSIN (WHERE THE WEATHER WILL LOCK MY BRAKES UP) THANK YOU
I JUST HAD A COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FAILURE WITH MY 2006 HONDA CR-V 4WD AT 118,000 MILES. THE TRANSMISSION FAILED WITHIN A FEW DAYS AND GAVE LITTLE WARNING UNTIL COMPLETE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD SLIP IN ALL GEARS, SO I COULD NOT PUT THE VEHICLE DIRECTLY INTO 1ST, 2ND, 3RD,OR 4TH GEAR TO GET THE VEHICLE OFF THE HIGHWAY. LUCKILY, I WAS CLOSE TO HOME WHEN THE TRANSMISSION FAILED BUT IT TOOK A FEW ENGINE COOL DOWNS TO GET THE VEHICLE DRIVEN OFF THE HIGHWAY TO A SAFE LOCATION TO BE TOWED TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP. HONDA SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS COMPLETELY BLOWN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED WITH A FACTORY-REBUILD. I OWN TWO OTHER HONDA'S (ONE IS A 1990 ACCORD WITH ABOUT 250,000 MILES ON IT) AND HAVE NEVER HAD A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM IN EITHER CAR. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW I CAN HAVE A 23 YEAR OLD HONDA WITH 250,000 MILES ON IT THAT HAS SEEN ABSOLUTELY NO TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS BUT HAVE A MUCH NEWER 6 YEAR OLD 118,000 MILE HONDA CR-V WITH A 100% FAILED TRANSMISSION NEEDING COMPETE REPLACEMENT. I HAVE SEARCHED ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND I SEE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT 100% COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FAILURES WITH 2004-2006 HONDA CR-V'S. THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING GOING ON WITH THESE NEWER CR-V TRANSMISSIONS THAT HONDA HAS NOT REPORTED (AS OF YET). THE HONDA DEALERSHIP I TOOK MY CAR TO, SAID THAT I WAS THE 1ST CR-V TRANSMISSION THEY EVER REPLACED FROM THE 2004-2006 CR-V SERIES. HONDA ORIGINALLY QUOTED MY $4000 TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION WITH A FACTORY-REBUILT BUT THEY CONTACTED THE REGIONAL HONDA REP AND WAS ABLE TO LOWER THE PRICE DOWN TO $3000. THAT PRICE IS ABSURD, AS I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE THAT A TRANSMISSION WILL ONLY LAST 118,000 MILES. IT WILL BE VERY TOUGH FOR MY FAMILY TO EVEN THINK ABOUT PURCHASING ANY HONDA'S IN THE FUTURE. I HAVE TALKED TO EVERYONE ABOUT HOW GREAT HONDA CARS ARE, WITH A 23 YEAR OLD HONDA STILL GOING. NO MORE WILL I RECOMMEND A HONDA! *TR
AS I WAS PARKING MY CAR, IT SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING LURCHED FORWARD FULL THROTTLE OUT OF CONTROL OVER THE PARKING BARRIER AND CURB AND THROUGH A STOREFRONT WINDOW. I TRIED TO STOP IT AS MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE THE WHOLE TIME, BUT I COULD NOT, AND IT LODGED ITSELF INTO A DRYWALL COUNTER AND SIDE WALL.(IT WAS LATER FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A 600 POUND SAFE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTER, WHICH PROBABLY STOPPED THE CAR) I SHUT OFF THE IGNITION AND YELLED FOR HELP. I WAS COVERED IN GLASS AND INJURED MY SHOULDER, NECK, UPPER BACK AND RIGHT LEG. I HAD JUST HAD THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR AND REAR BRAKE PADS REPLACED AT THE HONDA DEALERSHIP 6 DAYS PRIOR TO THIS. MY CAR WAS MAINTAINED THERE REGULARLY. IT IS FORTUNATE NOBODY WAS KILLED. THE INCIDENT WAS CAUGHT ON THE SECURITY TAPE. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE UTILIZING THE MANUFACTURER'S JACK TO ROTATE THE TIRES, THE JACK BECAME TWISTED AND COLLAPSED, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO FALL ON THE SUPPORTING BLOCKS THAT WERE PLACED UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY JACK REPLACED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 113,000. UPDATED 11/14/12*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS ON A LEVEL DRIVEWAY. HE BELIEVED THE JACK WAS FAULTY AND IT WAS NOT PROPERLY HEAT TREATED. UPDATED 11/15/12
3:30AM - AS I WAS SLEEPING, I HEARD AN EXPLOSION. AS I LOOKED OUT MY BEDROOM WINDOW, I COULD TELL SOMETHING WAS ON FIRE IN DRIVEWAY. I RAN OUTSIDE AND CR-V WAS COMPLETELY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. CALLED 911, FIRE DEPT ARRIVED AND PUT FIRE OUT. CHESTER COUNTY FIRE MARSHALL ARRIVED @4:30AM, NOTHING SUSPICIOUS NOTED. CAR AND CONTENTS WERE A TOTAL LOSS. DRIVEWAY WAS RUINED, BUT FORTUNATELY NO OTHER STRUCTURES WERE INVOLVED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEAT WARMER OVERHEATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WEEKS LATER, THE PASSENGER SEAT BEGAN TO OVERHEAT ALONG WITH THE DRIVER'S SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 104,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT STOPPED ILLUMINATING INTERMITTENTLY AND THE PASSENGER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE AT ALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000. *TR
I KEPT LOOSING AIR IN MY TIRES. WENT TO THE TIRE SHOP AND THEY SAID I HAD A CRACKED WHEEL. QUITE A FEW HONDA CRV'S COMING IN WITH THIS PROBLEM. WENT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY WANTED 288.00 FOR 1 WHEEL. TALKED TO THE MANAGER ABOUT A RECALL, HE SAID NO BUT HE WOULD GIVE THE WHEEL TO ME AT COST. 188.00. THAT THIS WAS A COMMON OCCURRENCE I ASK ABOUT THE OTHER WHEELS ON MY VEHICLE AND HE SAID JUST WAIT FOR THEM TO CRACK AND THEN REPLACE THEM. COULDN'T RELAX DRIVING MY VEHICLE ANYMORE BECAUSE WONDER IF I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I TRADED MY VEHICLE IN ON A NEW VW, BUT WORRY ABOUT THE PERSON WHO MAY BUY IT, AND ALL THE OTHER CRV'S WITH DEFECTIVE WHEELS ON THE ROAD. I LOVED MY HONDA AND IT LOOKED LIKE A NEW CAR AND WAS PAID FOR. *TR

IN ADDITION, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SEAT AS WELL AS THE SUN VISOR MELTED. WHEN THE CONTACT ENTERED THE VEHICLE THERE WAS NO SMOKE PRESENT HOWEVER BLACK SOOT APPEARED ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WINDOW GLASS AND GRAY SOOT. THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WIRING HARNESS WAS STUCK TO THE LOWER PLASTIC DOOR TRIM. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 11V456000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) BUT THE VIN WAS INELIGIBLE FOR THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE HONDA DEALER FOR ITS 90,000 SERVICE. AT THIS TIME HONDA DEALER RECOMMENDED WORK BUT DID NOT PERFORM REPLACE FRONT LOWER ARM COMPLIANCE BUSHING, BALL JOINTS BOOT TORN. HONDA DID NOT MENTION THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID 12V12400, (SUSPENSION FRONT CONTROL ARM LOWER ARM). I FELT LIKE THE HONDA REP DID NOT EXPLAIN MY OPTIONS, AND DID NOT LISTEN TO MY CONCERNS. I HAD IT REPAIRED AT ANOTHER AUTO CARE CENTER. ON 9-13-2012, THE AC SYSTEM WENT, COMPRESSOR LOCKED UP. IT NEEDED AN ENTIRE NEW AC SYSTEM. AT THIS TIME, THE MECHANIC MADE ME AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID 12V12400 AS WELL AS MANY COMPLAINTS ON LINE OF HONDA AC COMPRESSOR PROBLEMS AND THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT (NOW OVER). ONE PART RUINED THE ENTIRE AC SYSTEM. HONDA WAS LESS THAN HONEST IN WANTING TO CHARGE ME FOR THE SUSPENSION FRONT CONTROL ARM LOWER ARM). THESE REPAIRS TOTALED $2500. *TR

AIR CONDITIONER FAILURE AT 90,000. ITS TWIN, A 2005 CRV, HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AT THE SAME MILEAGE. THIS REPAIR WAS $900. THE AC HAD RECENTLY HAD A TUNEUP, AS WE WERE CONCERNED OVER IT DUE TO THE OLDER CAR HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. CHECKUP SHOWED NO ISSUES; FAILURE WAS SUDDEN. *TR
BOTH FRONT LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS SUDDENLY WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING THE HONDA 2006 CRV. IT WAS QUITE DANGEROUS AS SUDDENLY COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING IN THE DARK. THE FRONT LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT BULBS WERE REPLACED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE 2010 AS THEY SURPRISINGLY ONLY LASTED HALF TO A YEAR. THE LAST TIME ONLY LAST TWO MONTH! STARTING JUNE OF 2012, I START TO NOTICE A VIBRATION WHEN GOING FROM STOP TO GO. SHAKING IS MORE PRONOUNCE WHEN GOING UPHILL. ONCE SPEED REACHES 50MPH, VIBRATION CEASES. LATELY, THE SHAKE IS MORE CONSISTENT. I TRIED TO START TO MOVE SLOWER IN AN ATTEMPT TO DAMPEN VIBRATION, BUT IT IS STILL THERE. LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAIL EVERY FEW MONTHS, SOMETIMES WHILE DRIVING, NECESSITATING REPLACEMENT. IT IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. MANY PEOPLE WITH THE 2006 CR-V HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS ISSUE TO HONDA, THE NHTSA AND ALL OVER THE INTERNET. WHY HASN'T HONDA ISSUED A RECALL? HONDA DID HAVE A RECALL FOR THE 2002-2004 CR-V FOR THE SAME ISSUE, BUT NOT FOR THE LATER YEARS, SAYING THAT THE HEADLIGHT SYSTEM WAS DIFFERENT IN NEWER MODELS.
