TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE BRAKES FAILED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V061000 (AIR BAGS). A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A HEAD CONCUSSION THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO A PARKING LOT WHERE IT WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL BODY SHOP. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
I HAVE A SHORT IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WHEN I STOP AND START THE DOOR LOCKS UNLOCKED AND LOCKS. ALSO MY RADIO REQUIRES TO ENTER A CODE WHEN I SHUT IT OFF, AFTER I TURN OFF THE KEY. IT WORKS WHEN I DON'T SHUT IT OFF AFTER I TURN THE KEY OFF.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S DOOR DID NOT LOCK WHEN USING THE KEY FOB. THE CONTACT HAD TO PLAY WITH THE KEY FOB IN ORDER FOR THE DOOR TO LOCK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BROWN HONDA (LOCATED AT 6155 CENTRAL AVE, TOLEDO, OH 43615, (419) 841-2222), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR WAS PREVIOUSLY REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL THE DEALER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
FRONT PASSENGER DOOR DOOR FAILS TO UNLOCK BY THE MANUAL MECHANISM. EGRESS OF VEHICLE IS NOT POSSIBLE.
My front passenger door lock is malfunctioning. When one tries to unlock the door, the lock immediately goes back to the lock position. It is easily demonstrated for inspection. It is unsafe for the passenger in case he needs to quickly exit the car in an emergency. After researching this problem today, I just learned that there was a class action suit against Honda concerning this issue and the plaintiffs won. But unfortunately for me the time period that Honda agreed to cover the cost of repairs expired in 2015. I purchased my pre-owned 2007 Honda CRV in 2016 and my passenger lock began malfunctioning in 2018. I looked up a recall on this issue but did not find one. I did not come across information on the law suit at that time.

THE CONTACT SLOWED DOWN, MERGED ONTO THE SHOULDER, AND OPENED AND CLOSED THE DOOR; HOWEVER, THE WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 222,044.
THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK GOT JAMMED 3 TIMES SINCE 2014. MET WITH AN ACCIDENT IN JAN 2014 WITH IMPACT ON THE DRIVER SIDE.DRIVER SIDE LOCK WAS WORKING BUT PASSENGER SIDE LOCK GOT JAMMED.THE PASSENGER COULDN'T COME OUT DUE TO THAT ,ENDANGERING THEIR LIFE.GOT REPAIRED FROM HONDA DEALER,REPAIRS PAID BY THE INSURANCE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY.IN 2015,I WENT TO SAME HONDA DEALER FOR RECALL OF DRIVER SIDE LOCK ACCUATOR.THEY FIXED THE DRIVER SIDE BUT DIDN'T FIX THE PASSENGER SIDE LOCK EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE INFORMED ABOUT THE PERSISTENT PROBLEM WITH PASSENGER SIDE LOCK BY ME.IT WAS UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY IN JUNE 2015. HAD ANOTHER MINOR ACCIDENT IN 2016 IN ANOTHER STATE AND PASSENGER GOT STUCK IN THE VEHICLE AGAIN.WE GOT IT REPAIRED AT A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP SINCE NO HONDA DEALER WAS CLOSEBY..ON MAY 26,2018 THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LOCK JAMMED AGAIN WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED SUDDENLY ON THE FREEWAY.THE PASSENGER GOT STUCK AGAIN IN THE VEHICLE .I CALLED AMERICAN HONDA CORPORATION AND INFORMED THEM ABOUT THIS RECURRING PROBLEM WITH PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LOCK JAMMING AGAIN AND AGAIN.THIS IS PLAYING WITH THE LIFE OF THE PASSENGER BECAUSE THEY CAN'T ESCAPE IN AN EMERGENCY..THEY GAVE ME A CASE NUMBER AND DIRECTED ME TO GO THE HONDA DEALER.CASE NO IS 08726902..THE HONDA DEALER INFORMED THAT THE LOCK NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND COST OF REPLACING IT IS APPROX $400. I CALLED HONDA CORP AGAIN AND INFORMED THEM ABOUT THE REPAIR COST.THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY CAN'T HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM AND I WILL HAVE TO BEAR THE COST.I I ALSO INFORMED THEM THAT THIS IS NOT A MATTER OF COST OF REPAIR BUT MATTER OF LIFE WHEN THE LOCK GETS JAMMED FREQUENTLY. I WAS VERY RUDELY TOLD NOT TO CALL THEM FOR THIS PROBLEM.. WE HAVE NOBODY TO TURN TO REGARDING ADDRESSING THIS LIFE THREATENING PROBLEM AND WE ARE SPENDING OUR MONEY FOR REPAIR COST. THE VEHICLE HAS ONLY 42000 MILES .KINDLY INVESTIGATE.

WHILE DRIVING OVER 10 MPH, THE DOORS WOULD UNLOCK AND RELOCK ON THEIR OWN. THE SAME DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR LOCKING MECHANISMS WERE DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE, NHTSA CAMPAIGN INFORMATION, AND VIN WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 HONDA CR-V. WHILE AT A STOP, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE AND CAUSED THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DCH GARDENA HONDA (15541 S. WESTERN AVE, GARDENER, CA 90248, 310-525-3183) WHERE IT WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
FAULTY DOOR LOCK ON FRONT PASSENGER SIDE
HONDA REFUSES TO REPLACE RECALLED DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS. DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LOCK AND PASSENGER REAR LOCKS WILL NOT STAY OPEN, SEALING OCCUPANTS IN THE CAR UNLESS THE KEY FOB IS REPEATEDLY ACTUATED. HONDA SAYS RECALL HAS EXPIRED. HONDA REPLACED ONE ACTUATOR WITH ANOTHER THAT ALSO FAILED AND WILL NOT REPLACE IT.
WE WERE DRIVING AND STOPPED THE CAR OUTSIDE A RESTAURANT. WHEN I TRIED TO OPEN THE CAR DOOR IT WOULD NOT UNLOCK USING THE DOOR HANDLE. IT FINALLY OPENED WHEN THE KEY FOB WAS PRESSED SEVERAL TIMES. WHEN WE RETURNED FROM THE RESTAURANT AND GOT INSIDE THE CAR, THE DOOR WOULD NOT LOCK. WE TRIED THE KEY FOB AND THE DOOR CONTROL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE PANEL. AS WE STARTED TO DRIVE, THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LOCK STARTED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING AND WOULD NOT STOP. EVERY COUPLE OF SECONDS THE LOCK CLICKED OPEN, CLICKED LOCKED BUT THE INDICATOR THAT TURNS RED WHEN THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED WOULD NOT FULLY ENGAGE. THE INDICATOR WAS ONLY PARTIALLY RED. IT WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE AND WOULD NOT LOCK. THE PASSENGER DOOR LOCK CLICKED ON- AND - OFF EVERY COUPLE OF SECONDS WHEN WE WERE DRIVING. WE CAN'T LOCK OUR CAR DOOR WHEN IN MOTION AND CAN'T LOCK THE CAR DOORS WHEN STOPPED OR PARKED. IT IS NOT SAFE.
I HAD THE AIRBAGS AND LOCK CONTROLS REPLACED PER THE RECALL NOTICES. ABOUT 1 MONTH AFTER THE AIR BAG REPLACEMENT MY AIR CONDITIONER STARTED BLOWING WARM AIR ON AND OFF. I NEVER RECEIVED A NOTICE ABOUT THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WHICH SUPPOSEDLY WAS SENT OUT AS BULLETIN #12-072. I DID HAVE A 100,000 MILE WARRANTY ON MY CAR I THOUGHT BUT I AM TOLD IT WAS ONLY FOR 3 YEARS AND THAT MY WARRANTY EXPIRED AFTER 7 YEARS ON MY CERTIFIED USED CAR WARRANTY. I WOULD NOT HAVE IGNORED THE RECALL WARNING.

ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO MY PASSENGER FRONT WINDOW STARTED GOING UP VERY SLOWLY. THEN IT BEGAN TO NOT COME UP EVERY FEW DAY. IT WOULD GO DOWN LIKE NORMAL. ABOUT TWO WWEEKS AGO IT WENT DOWN BY ACCIDENT AND HAS NOT COME BACK UP. I CANT DRIVE IT NOW BECAUSE WE ARE HAVING BAD WEATHER IN MEMPHIS, TN. IVE BEEN RESEARCHING AND SAW WHERE OTHERS HAVE HAD THS SAME PROBLEM WITH NO RESOLUTION. I HAVE NOT PICS BECAUSE IT WILL ONLY SHOW THE WINDOW DOWN.

THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT A NEW BUMPER WAS NEEDED AND THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TAIL LIGHT NEEDED REPAIRING. TWO ITEMS OF CONCERN TO REPORT: DOOR LOCKS - BACK PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WILL NO LONGER LOCK AND ONCE THE CAR IS IN MOTION, THE DOORS WILL AUTOMATICALLY LOCK AND UNLOCK FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. WHEN IN PARK, THE BACK DOOR REMAINS UNLOCKED EVEN AFTER THE DOORS HAVE BEEN SECURED. - MAJOR SECURITY / SAFETY ISSUE - CHILDREN IN THE BACK OF THE CAR RENDERS CHILD LOCKS USELESS. CAR WILL NOT START / SHUTS OFF IN MOTION: I HAVE HAD 4 TOTAL INSTANCES (2) OF EACH IN THE PAST MONTH. WHEN PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE AT SLOW SPEED, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FLASHES AND THE CAR DIES. THE CAR WILL NOT TURN OVER WHEN TRYING TO TURN ON. FINALLY STARTED ONCE CAR WAS PUT INTO NEUTRAL - COMPUTER COMPLETELY RESETS - HAVE TO ENTER RADIO CODE. SECOND INSTANCE - DRIVING AT 60 MPH ON HIGHWAY, INSTRUMENT PANEL FLASHES AND CAR DIES - THEN COMES BACK ON WHILE DRIVING. MAJOR ISSUE!!

I HAD MY DOOR LOCK REPLACED ON THE DRIVER SIDE AFTER THE RECALL A FEW YEARS AGO. HOWEVER, JUST 2 WEEKS AGO THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK WENT FROM AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCKING AND LOCKING AND GRADUATED TO A LOUD STRANGE SCRAPPING NOISE EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE CAR. THE NOISE IS VERY ALARMING BECAUSE IT HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY WHILE I PROCEED AFTER ASTOP OR TURNING A CORNER TO SLOW DOWN OR AFTER I TURN THE CAR ON. IT ALWAYS HAPPENS TWO TIMES AFTER I TURN THE CAR ON.
REAR PASSENGER DOOR LOCKS MAKE A LOUD REPETITIVE NOISE WHEN OPENING, CLOSING, LOCKING AND IN MOTION. SOMETIMES THE DOOR DOES NOT LOCK/UNLOCK
TPMS LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON DEPITE TIRE PRESSURE OK. IT CAME ON AT FIRST WHEN I DROVE 11 MILES. AFTER TECH TURNED IT OFF (FOR $55) , IT STAYED OFF UNTIL I DROVE 11 MILES. THEN, IT CAME BACK ON. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN OFTEN REPORTED PROBLEM JUDGING FROM THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS I FOUND. AM HEADING BACK TO THE SHOP NEXT WEEK FOR ONE MORE TRY.
IN DECEMBER 2017 THE POWER DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS FAILED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER AND TAILGATE, SO THE DOORS COULD NOT BE OPENED, EVEN MANUALLY. I HAD TO CRAWL ACROSS THE CENTER CONSOLE TO EXIT THE CAR. THIS COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS IF IT HAPPENED DURING AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. WE WERE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT AT THE TIME. A RECALL HAD BEEN ORDERED AFTER A CLASS ACTION SUIT WAS FILED IN 2015, BUT ONLY THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WAS INCLUDED. THAT WAS REPLACED AND THE WARRANTY WAS EXTENDED FOR THE OTHER DOORS FOR ONLY 6 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SETTLEMENT. I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF REPLACING TWO ACTUATORS THAT WERE OBVIOUSLY FACTORY DEFECTS. HONDA REFUSES TO REIMBURSE ME OR REPLACE THE ACTUATORS ON THE OTHER TWO DOORS THAT WILL SOMEDAY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD BY THEM THAT WOULD ONLY PAY IF ORDERED TO DO SO BY A COURT.
STARTS TO VIBRATE AT 50 MILES
DRIVING AT 60 MILES PER HOUR ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE VSA AND OTHER DASH LIGHTS CAME ON, THE VEHICLE SEMI-STALLED OUT, AND CRUISE CONTROL WENT OUT. IT SELF CORRECTED AND I KEPT ON GOING. THIS HAPPENED 3-4 TIMES DURING A 60 MILE DRIVE. THEN JUST THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON - I DROVE HOME WITHOUT INCIDENT. TODAY MY MECHANIC HOOKED IT UP TO A COMPUTER AND IT IS A PCM PROBLEM. THERE WAS A RECALL ON 2007 CR-V'S FOR A TCM/PCM PROBLEM IN 2011 BUT ACCORDING TO AMERICAN HONDA IT IS "VIN SPECIFIC" AND MY VIN DOESN'T HAVE THIS RECALL PROBLEM. BUT MY CAR HAS THIS PROBLEM, IT SOUNDS SERIOUS, AND NOW I MUST PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED :( I WON'T EVER BUY ANOTHER HONDA!

THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AT (HONDA APOSTLAKIS LOCATED AT 3156 ELM RD CORTLAND OHIO 4410) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS A MANUFACTURERS RECALL THAT HAD EXPIRED RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED NOR INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WAS NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE'S CONDITION WAS NOT DECLARED AT THE TIME. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000.
MY FRONT PASSENGER DOOR AND THE BACK HATCH HAVE LOCKED UP AND WILL NOT OPEN OR EVEN UNLOCK.

I BOUGHT A USED 2007 HONDA CR-V TWO WEEKS LATER I STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH THE DOOR LOCKING ACTUATOR I WHEN I DID MY RESEARCH I FOUND OUT THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON THAT ISSUE I WHEN I CALLED HONDA THEY TOLD ME THAT ITS OUT OF RECALL PERIMETER. NEED HELP ON THIS MATTER PLEASE
DEFAULTING LOCKING DOOR SYSTEM. DOORS KEEP ON LOCKING WHILE DRIVING OR/AND NOT LOCKING ALL DOORS WHILE PARKED. I HAVE ALREADY REPLACED LATCH ASSEMBLY ONCE THIS YEAR AND NOW BROKEN AGAIN. THIS LOCKING WHILE DRIVING HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM FOR YEARS. IT'S VERY BOTHERSOME NOT TO BE ABLE TO HAVE ALL DOORS LOCKED WHILE PARKED.
AUTO LOCK SYSTEM NOT WORKING PROPERLY. THE DOOR UNLOCKS ITSELF AFTER ACTIVATING THE MAIN POWER SWITCH. THIS ALLOWS THE DOOR TO BE OPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION.
FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK WILL NOT STAY UNLOCKED AFTER BEING ACTIVATED FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE OR PASSENGER SIDE. THIS POSES A SAFETY PROBLEM SHOULD THE FRONT PASSENGER NEED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LOCK WILL NOT STAY LOCKED, AFTER MANUALLY "LOCKING" THE VEHICLE AND ESPECIALLY AFTER THE VEHICLES AUTOMATIC LOCKING SYSTEM IS ACTIVATED. THIS POSES A SAFETY ISSUE SHOULD A CHILD, OR A PASSENGER IF ANY AGE CAN OPEN THE DOOR WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THIS IS A SAFETY FEATURE AND DOOR LOCKS SHOULD BE COVERED BY HONDA WITH NO EXPIRATION.
TAKATA RECALL: ON 12/6/2016 PER RECALL HONDA DEALER REPLACED BOTH DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER FRONT AIR BAG INFLATORS. IN JULY 2017, WHILE CAR IN PARK AND RUNNING, DASH AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT CAME ON AS PASSENGER WAS PUTTING ON HER SEAT BELT AND REMAINED ON WHILE DRIVING UNTIL CAR ENGINE WAS SHUTOFF. UPON RESTARTING CAR, UNDER SAME CONDITIONS, AIRBAG SENSOR DID NOT COME ON AGAIN. ON 7/27/17 THIS ISSUE WAS EVALUATED BY THE SAME DEALER WITH TESTING REVEALING "FRONT PASSENGER WEIGHT SENSOR - INTERMITTENT FAILURE". TOLD REPAIR OF SUCH IS NOT PART OF AIR BAG SENSOR RECALL SINCE IT IS IN THE SEAT, STARTING WITH REPLACING SEAT SIDE ASSEMBLY WITH JUST THE PART COSTING APPROX $1100 + LABOR COST-UNKNOWN COST, ADVISED FOR SAFETY, TO AVOID UNEXPECTED AIR BAG DELOY, DO NOT HAVE PASSENGER IN FRONT SEAT IF AIR BAG SENSOR LIGHT IS ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CR-V. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING SERVICED AT HONDA CARS OF AIKEN (550 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY, WARRENVILLE, SC 29851) FOR A RECALL REPAIR, THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE LOCKING MECHANISM FAILED. THE FAILURE PREVENTED THE DOOR FROM OPENING PROPERLY ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE LOCK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
THE RIGHT REAR PASSENGER DOOR LOCKING MECHANISM UNLOCKS ITSELF AFTER LOCKING WITH DRIVER'S MASTER CONTROL OR KEY CONTROL. THIS ALLOWS THE DOOR TO BE UNSECURED WHEN VEHICLE IS MOVING CAUSING SAFETY ISSUE. HONDA SEES THIS AS WARRANTY ISSUE NOT SAFETY ISSUE.
APPROXIMATELY 5 WEEKS AGO I WAS DRIVING LOCALLY WITH MY WIFE AND 6 YEAR OLD SON IN THE CAR WHEN WITHOUT WARNING THE BRAKES SUDDENLY ENGAGED CAUSING THE CAR TO COME TO A SUDDEN STOP. THE VSA WARNING LIGHT ALSO CAME ON. I PRESSED ON THE ACCELERATOR BUT CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. AFTER PRESSING AND PULLING THE BRAKE PEDAL FOR SEVERAL MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO GET THE BRAKES TO RELEASE. TODAY I RECEIVED A FRANTIC CALL FROM MY WIFE BECAUSE AS SHE WAS DRIVING THE CAR THE BRAKES SUDDENLY LOCKED UP WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING AND CAUSED THE CAR TO COME TO A SUDDEN STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. AFTER THIS FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE SHE IS UNDERSTANDABLY AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR ANYMORE. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND READ OTHER HONDA CRV OWNERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. HONDA HAS RECOGNIZED THIS PROBLEM IN THEIR PILOT MODEL AND HAS RECALLED OVER 183,000 VEHICLES BUT HAS YET TO RECOGNIZE THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE CRV MODEL. THE POTENTIAL FOR A VEHICLE TO BRAKE UNEXPECTEDLY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP OBVIOUSLY POSES A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY RISK. HONDA NEEDS TO RECOGNIZE THIS DEFECT IS NOT LIMITED TO THEIR PILOT MODEL, BUT TO ALL MODELS WHICH THEY MANUFACTURE THAT SHARE THE SAME OR SIMILAR COMPONENTS AS THE PILOT MODEL INCLUDING THEIR CRV AND OTHER MODELS.
CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL MALFUNCTIONING; STARTED AS BLINKING IN AN OUT, NOW MINIMAL INFORMATION IS DISPLAYED. MILEAGE AMOUNT SHOWS AND THIS IS HOW I KNOW WHEN TO FILL MY TANK WITH GAS. I HAVE RECEIVED ESTIMATES FOR REPAIR AT $800.00.
AUTOMATIC LOCKS CONSTANTLY LOCK AND UNLOCK UNDER SPEEDS OF 25MPH (WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION). PASSENGER SIDE LOCK (FRONT DOOR) WILL NOT UNLOCK (WHEN STATIONARY AND IN PARK). SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE LOCK ACTUATOR.

ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO MY RIGHT-SIDE BACK PASSENGER'S DOOR WAS MAKING A LOUD NOISE WHEN THE CAR DOORS WERE TRYING TO LOCK WHILE I WAS DRIVING, OR WHEN I USED THE CAR REMOTE OR LOCK PANEL ON DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. COME TO FIND OUT THAT IT WAS THE ACTUATOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. NOW, MY FRONT-PASSENGERS DOOR AND TRUNK DO NOT OPEN, HOWEVER, NO LOUD SOUNDS ARE HAPPENING EXCEPT FOR THE RIGHT-SIDE BACK PASSENGER'S DOOR. I THOUGHT I COULD HANDLE THE SOUND, BUT NOW THIS ISSUE HAS PROGRESSED AND IS A HUGE INCONVENIENCE EVERY TIME I USE MY CAR. MOST RECENTLY, ON 2/25/17 MY DAUGHTER AND I CAME HOME AND PARKED ALONG THE STREET FROM OUTSIDE OF MY HOME. I HAD MY DAUGHTER IN THE VEHICLE STRAPPED IN HER CAR SEAT, UPON EXITING THE DRIVERS SIDE I CLOSED THE DOOR AND THE CAR LOCKED. I TRIED USING THE REMOTE TO UNLOCK THE DOORS THAT WERE STILL "FUNCTIONING" (DRIVERS SIDE DOOR & LEFT-SIDE BACK PASSENGERS DOOR) WHICH DID NOT WORK! I HAD TO USE THE CAR ALARM TO WAKE UP MY DAUGHTER TO SEE IF SHE COULD UNBUCKLE HERSELF BUT UNFORTUNATELY, AFTER SHE GOT OUT OF HER SEAT SHE WAS UNSUCCESSFUL TRYING TO OPEN THE DOORS THEY WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE EITHER. I MUST HAVE TRIED THE REMOTE AND USING THE ACTUAL KEY IN THE DRIVERS DOOR FOR A GOOD 5 MINUTES WHICH FELT LIKE AN ETERNITY. THIS MATTER IS A HUGE MANUFACTURING ISSUE THAT IS STILL NOT RESOLVED IN THE REPORTED ACTIVE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. WITH SOME HELP FROM A NEIGHBOR WE MANAGED TO GET THE DOOR OPEN TO GET MY DAUGHTER OUT. I'M TRULY DISAPPOINTED WITH HONDA AS I'VE NEVER HAD ISSUES WITH HONDA AS I FELT THAT HONDA IS EXCEPTIONALLY RELIABLE. AS OF YESTERDAY'S FIASCO INVOLVING MY DAUGHTER I WILL BE SEEKING OUT COUNSEL FROM A LITIGATOR ON THIS ISSUE SINCE IT SEEMS THAT IT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED, KNOWING THAT THIS PROBLEM CONTINUES TO PERSIST WHICH IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION TO HAVE YOUR OWN CHILDREN LOCKED INSIDE. PARENTS WORST NIGHTMARE.

TANAKA RECALL. HONDA LETTER STATED TO BE CORRECTED BY LAST SUMMER 2016, STILL NO NOTIFICATION AS TO CORRECTION DATE.

THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE AND THE SECOND TIME WE ENCOUNTERED PROBLEM, AND HAD TO REPLACE THE DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK (ACTUATOR) ABOUT TWO (2) YEARS AGO, AND SUSPECT THE THE REMAINING DOOR LOCKS WILL SOON FAIL AS WELL....??
