I AM CONSTANTLY REPLACING, TAIL LIGHTS, BRAKE LIGHTS, THIRD BRAKE LIGHTS AND REVERSE LIGHTS! ALL THE LOCKS WHINE WHEN I PUT MY VEHICLE IN DRIVE. THEY SAID THAT IT WOULD COST ME $1200.00 TO REPLACE THEM ALL ! I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THEY ALL NEED REPLACING! MY LAMP LIGHT IS OUT AND THEY SAID IT WOULD COST $180.00 TO FIX THAT! I HAVE HAD TO HAVE MY BACK HATCH REPAINTED, AND NOW ABOVE MY WINDSHIELD AND GRILL NEED TO BE REPAINTED! WHATS GOING TO NEED REPAINTING NEXT?! I CAN NOT AFFORD TO HAVE MY CRV REPAINTED, AND IT IS EMBARRASSING! I HAND WASH MY CRV WITH SPECIAL CLOTHS! IF HONDA WANTS ME CONTINUE BUYING THEIR VEHICLES, THEY HAD BETTER DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!! I ONLY TAKE MY HONDA TO THE HONDA VEHICLE FOR ALL OIL CHANGES, TIRE ROTATION, BRAKES, ALL FLUID CHANGES, ALIGNMENTS, TIRES, LIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT (OFTEN). YOU NAME IT, MY CRV GOES TO THEM FOR MAINTENANCE!
DEALER WAS CONTACTED JUN 30, 2016. DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG REMEDIED AUG 11, 2016 BUT PASSENGER SIDE STILL NOT REMEDIED. HONDA SAYS PARTS ON ORDER BUT CANNOT GIVE TIME ESTIMATE OF AVAILABILITY.
MY REAR PASSENGER LOCK WAS MAKING A STRANGE SOUND AT TIMES, SIMILAR TO THE SOUND OF THE RECALLED DOOR LOCKS TO THE FRONT DOOR LOCKS. ARRIVING TO MY PARKED CAR, THE UNLOCK FAILED WITH THE KEYLESS ENTRY TO MY BACK PASSENGER DOOR (THE OTHER PASSENGER DOORS UNLOCKED). I TRIED TO USE THE BUTTON INSIDE THE FRONT DOOR TO UNLOCK IT, NO LUCK. THEN I TRIED TO MANUALLY UNLOCK AND IT WAS STUCK IN LOCK POSITION. THIS WAS THE SCARIEST AS I HAVE CHILDREN AND IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT I AM AFRAID WE WILL BE TRAPPED INSIDE CAR. LATER I DISCOVERED THE TRUNK WAS NOT OPENING EITHER. THE THREE OTHER DOORS/LOCKS WERE STILL FUNCTIONAL. IT BEGAN WORKING AGAIN A COUPLE DAYS LATER, BUT SOUNDS OFF AND MY CALL TO HONDA SERVICE CENTER HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL AS THEY ALREADY RECALLED THE FRONT LOCKS FOR THE SAME ISSUE AND IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN.
PASSENGER DOOR LOCK UN-LATCHED AND RE-LATCHED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO EXIT VEHICLE AFTER PARKING THE DOOR LATCH IS STUCK AND WILL NOT LET YOU OUT. ALSO IT NOW MAKES A HORRIBLE LOUD NOISE WHEN THE AUTO-DOOR LOCKS ACTIVATE AFTER ACCELERATING, OR WHEN ATTEMPTING TO LOCK OR UNLOCK DOORS WITH KEY FOB.

TAKATA RECALL HELLO, WE CALLED HONDA ON 5/31/16 TO ORDER A NEW PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. AT THE TIME WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WOULD TAKE A COUPLE MONTHS TO ARRIVE. I CALLED HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE ON 7/29/16 FOR AN UPDATE AND WAS PROVIDED WITH CASE #4880672. ON EITHER MONDAY OR TUESDAY 8/22-23, WE RECEIVED A CALL FROM FLETCHER JONES HONDA IN CHICAGO THAT THE AIRBAG WE HAD ORDERED WAS IN. WE WERE TOLD IT WOULD TAKE ROUGHLY 3 HOURS TO REPLACE. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR FRIDAY 8/26 AT 10:30AM. WHEN I ARRIVED, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE ALSO GOING TO REPLACE THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG FREE OF CHARGE. I WAS TOLD THE SERVICE TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER SIDE AND DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG WOULD BE 4-5 HOURS. AROUND 3:15 I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL THAT MY CAR WAS READY, BUT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAG BECAUSE AFTER THEY HAD OPENED EVERYTHING UP TO PUT INTO THE REPLACEMENT BAG, THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PARTS. I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL FROM THE SERVICE MANAGER AND AS OF TODAY 9/6, I STILL HAVE NOT. MY MAIN ISSUES ARE: -I ORDERED THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG ON 5/31 AND OVER 3 MONTHS LATER, STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PART -WE ARE PUTTING OURSELVES IN HARM'S WAY BY DRIVING WITH A FAULTY AIRBAG -I TOOK OFF A DAY OF WORK AND WAITED 4.5 HOURS ON 8/26 FOR A SERVICE THAT WASN'T EVEN PERFORMED AND I WILL HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE CITY AND DO THE SAME AGAIN. -NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO GIVE ME ANY CONCRETE INFORMATION AS TO WHEN THE AIRBAG SHOULD ARRIVE. TAKATA RECALL. I GOT A NOTICE ABOUT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. I CALLED TO GET IT REPAIRED BUT THE DEALER DOES NOT HAVE THE PART AND WILL NOT PROVIDE A LOANER CAR. THE ONLY THING THEY SUGGESTED WAS TO NOT LET ANYONE RIDE IN THE FRONT SEAT UNTIL THEY GET THE PART AND NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THAT WILL BE. SCHOOL STARTS NEXT WEEK AND I HAVE 4 KIDS AGES 7 TO 13 THAT I HAVE TO DRIVE TO SCHOOL. ONE CHILD SITS IN THE FRONT SEAT. I DO NOT HAVE ANOTHER CAR. HOW AM I GOING TO GET THESE KIDS TO SCHOOL? NOT HAVING ANYONE IN THE FRONT SEAT IS NOT A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. I CALLED HONDA AND THEY ASSIGNED A CASE WORKER AND SAID THEY WOULD CALL BACK SOMEDAY BUT THEY COULD NOT SAY WHEN BUT COULD BE OVER A WEEK.

AFTER NOTICING A WHINING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT I BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE DIFFICULTY CONTROLLING THE STEERING WHEEL DURING TURNS AT ANY SPEED. AFTER A DAY OR TWO IT BECAME WORSE AND MUCH LOUDER. A STRAINING NOISE COULD BE HEARD EVERY TIME THE WHEEL WAS TURNED WHETHER IN MOTION OR AT REST. I TOPPED OFF THE POWER STEERING FLUID UNTIL I COULD GET TO THE DEALERSHIP, BUT THE LEAK IS SO BAD IT ONLY STAYS FULL FOR 24 HOURS. THERE WERE SEVERAL TIMES THAT WEEK WHERE TURNING WAS DIFFICULT AND ERRATIC AS IF THE WHEEL WAS NOT WANTING TO STEER IN THE DIRECTION I WAS POINTING IT. BROUGHT TO RICK HENDRICK HONDA OF CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA AND WAS TOLD THE SAME AS THE OTHER 50 COMPLAINTS REPORTED TO THE NHTSA. THE POWER STEERING FLUID IS LEAKING ONTO ENGINE BELTS THAT NOW NEED TO BE REPLACED.THAT THE POWER STEERING HOSE, PUMP, SWITCH, AND VARIOUS STEERING PARTS NEED REPLACEMENT. TOTAL COST? 1200 DOLLARS PARTS AND LABOR. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN. HAZARDS ARE LOSS OF CONTROL OF STEERING WHILE DRIVING. LEAKING FLAMMABLE POWER STEERING FLUID ON TO HIGH TEMP SURFACES (CATALYTIC CONVERTER). THIS IS NOT NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED AND RESOLVED BY HONDA OR THEIR DEALERSHIPS AT NO COST TO THE OWNER.
RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE IN SPRING 2016, CALLED MY DEALER, WAS TOLD PARTS COMING IN THIS SUMMER & WOULD CALL ME. REC'VD ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE END OF JULY '16, CALLED DEALER (KAY HONDA EATONTOWN) AND THEY STILL DON'T KNOW WHEN PARTS ARE COMING IN. THIS MANY MONTHS TO HAVE RECALL REPAIR PARTS NOT IN IS UNACCEPTABLE.

I CONTACTED MORRISTOWN, TN HONDA ABOUT REPLACING MY DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE FOUR MONTHS OR LONGER TO ORDER THE DRIVER AIRBAG! THE LETTER I RECEIVED (CAMPAIGN #KA6) STATES THAT WORK MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 60 DAYS. I SPOKE WITH DEWAYNE IN THEIR SERVICE DEPT.

TO DATE 8/8/16, HAVE RECEIVED NO HELP, HAVE CALLED 3 TIMES. UNACCEPTABLE TO TELL ME NOT TO USE MY PASSENGER SEAT!
DRIVER SIDE REAR LOCKS PERIODICALLY UNLOCK ON THEIR OWN. THE DRIVER'S ACTUATOR WAS REPLACED VIA RECALL. DEALER REFUSED TO REPLACE OTHER ACTUATORS CLAIMING THAT RECALL HAS EXPIRED.

"TAKATA RECALL" EARLIER IN THE SPRING OUR HONDA CRV WAS PART OF THE MASSIVE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG RECALL. BASICALLY WAS TOLD THAT IF IT DEPLOYED, IT MAY KILL US WITH TINY PIECES OF FLYING METAL. WE SPENT MONTHS DEALING WITH HONDA AND RENTALS THROUGH THEM THAT WE HAD TO ARGUE OVER AND KEEP EXCHANGING. HOURS AND HOURS OF WORK THAT MY HUSBAND TOOK OFF SO HE COULD DRIVE HALFWAY ACROSS ATLANTA EACH TIME TO DEAL WITH RENTALS AND HONDA. FINALLY GOT OUR CAR BACK EARLY THIS SUMMER. YESTERDAY I GOT A NEW RECALL NOTICE FROM HONDA. THIS TIME IT'S FOR OUR PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. BASICALLY THE SAME THING, IF IT DEPLOYS IT MAY KILL YOU WITH METAL FRAGMENTS. THIS TIME WHEN I CALLED HONDA TO FIND OUT THE DEAL I WAS TOLD, "THE PART IS ON BACKORDER. WE WILL ORDER IT BUT WE DON'T KNOW WHEN WE WILL GET IT. UNTIL WE DO WE SUGGEST THAT YOU AVOID HAVING A PASSENGER SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT." SERIOUSLY, THIS IS WHAT THEY SAID. NOPE THEY WON'T HELP US WITH A RENTAL, JUST DON'T SIT IN THE FRONT BECAUSE IF YOU GET IN A WRECK THE AIRBAG THAT IS SUPPOSED TO KEEP YOU SAFE MAY KILL YOU WITH FLYING METAL FRAGMENTS. FOR OUR FAMILY OF 4, THIS "AVOIDING THE PASSENGER SEAT" IS NOT AN OPTION. WITH 2 BOOSTER SEATS IN THE BACK THERE ISN'T SPACE FOR AN ADULT TO SIT, SO BASICALLY THEY'VE RENDERED OUR MAIN VEHICLE UNUSABLE. BUT REFUSE TO HELP US IN ANY WAY. I'VE MADE MULTIPLE CALLS TO HONDA HEADQUARTERS AND HAVE "TICKETS" IN PLACE TO REQUEST ALTERNATE TRAVEL ASSISTANCE (RENTAL) BUT WAS TOLD THAT THEY ARE, "PRETTY BACKLOGGED WITH REQUESTS RIGHT NOW SO I DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL GET BACK TO YOU." TAKATA RECALL - I FIRST RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM HONDA REGARDING THE AIRBAG RECALL FORM 2008 CRV LAST WINTER. THE LETTER SAID PARTS WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL SUMMER, AND THEY WOULD NOTIFY ME THEN AS TO REPLACING THE AIRBAGS. I BEGAN CALLING TWO LOCAL DEALERS WHO SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS, BUT WOULD NOTIFY ME WHEN THEY DO. MEANWHILE, I HAVE TO KEEP DRIVING THE "UNSAFE" VEHICLE. I CONTINUE TO CALL THEM, THEY DO HAVE MY INFORMATION ON FILE, AND I MAKE THEM VERIFY THAT BY GIVING ME THE VIN NUMBER EACH TIME I CALL SO I KNOW I AM IN THE QUEUE. MEANWHILE, TODAY I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM HONDA SAYING IT IS IMPORTANT THAT I RESPOND. DO I STILL OWN THE VEHICLE? THEY HAVE MY VIN NUMBER. I WOULD HOPE THAT WHEN THE DEALER RECORDS IT IN THE WAITING LIST, THE DATA WOULD BE UPLOADED TO HONDA'S DATABASE. APPARENTLY NOT, THE NUMBER IS ON THE LETTER. BUT THAT'S JUST ONE OF THE MANY ANNOYANCES. MY BIGGEST ISSUE IS THAT I HAVE A VEHICLE THAT THEY ARE TELLING ME IS VERY UNSAFE FOR ME OR A PASSENGER, YET THEY EXPECT ME TO CONTINUE USING THIS VEHICLE UNTIL THEY DECIDE TO FIX IT.. I WOULD THINK THEY HAVE HUGE LIABILITY. IN ADDITION, A FRIEND HAD THE AIRBAGS REPLIED IN HER CIVIC LAST WINTER AT THE SAME DEALER, DIAMOND VALLEY HONDA IN HEMET, CALIFORNIA. WHAT IS THIS? PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. IN SPITE OF HONDA'S PR EFFORTS (AND MONEY SPENT), NEITHER THEY NOR THE DEALER DISPLAY ANY TRUE SENSE OF URGENCY IN PROTECTING THE SAFETY OF THE OWNERS.
