2010 Honda CR-V Electrical System Problems

Cruise Control Significant safety. 2/13/2026. The first time I experienced my car made sudden high-speed acceleration, brain starts scrambling, what's going on? Ok cruise controls on, turned it off, tapped brake. Now with Cruise Control Off, I had to keep in contact with the accelerator to manually maintain speed. I had to pay much attention to my speed. Was towing a very small travel trailer, about 750#. The above actions stopped the sudden acceleration. Got my speed back under control. Thought since the problem was resolved quickly along with me disbelieving what just happened, I turned Cruise Control back ON. So, I got my speed back to where it should be and put Cruise Control ON. And, again it didn't happen right away, but when it did, it was exactly the same sudden acceleration. Vehicle to a Honda dealer next week. No warning signs or sounds, either before or after the incident, both occurrences.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2010 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 157,000 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 191,000.

Our vehicle started to jerk whenever it is at low gear. The check engine light goes on and off. The traction control light goes on and off. And an error code came up: p060a. The vehicle has stalled 2x after moderately jerking multiple times while driving @ 50m/hr. The air conditioning blows hot air after a few minutes of it running. We have checked recalls for the particular make, model and year and it is showing the classic vehicle recalls from Honda. Unfortunately, our VIN number shows that it was not part of the recalled vehicle. We have gone through Honda hoping that they could at least do a diagnostic run and verify if it is a possible recall issue, but they will only do it if we pay for everything. Please help.

Drivers side door will not unlock or open.

Lock actuator are not working and going on and off one door is more problems than the others

THE AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT ON THE DASH GOES ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY FOR PAST 2 YEARS. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET INSPECTED ON 8/18/20. THIS WHAT WAS WAS EXPLAINED ON OUR PAPERWORK: FOUND DTC 32-10 OPEN IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG INFLATOR. PERFORMED STIMULATOR, FOUND DTC NOT RETURNING. FOUND INTERMITTENT FAILURE WITH FLOOR HARNESS. WE WERE TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE STAFF THAT IF NOT REPAIRED THE AIRBAG COULD POSSIBLY FAIL.

MY HEATER IS BLOWING OUT COLD AIR ALSO NOT ABLE TO USE DEFROSTER WHICH IS A SAFTEY HAZARD - I HAVE HAD SEVERAL CARS IN THE PAST NOT A HONDA AND NEVER HAD PROBLEM WTH HEATING

TL* THE CONTACT CALLED ON BEHALF OF THE OWNER OF A 2010 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE KEY FOB FAILED TO OPERATE AS INTENDED. THE CONTACT HAD TO CALL A TOW TRUCK TO HAVE THE VEHICLE UNLOCKED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT NOTIFIED THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THIS FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

MY ENGINE WOULD STALL RIGHT AFTER ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WOULD SHUT OFF THEN COME BACK ON RIGHT AFTER. INTERMITTENT SPARK FIRING. EXACT SAME THING AS IN THE #11V004000 RECALL

NO ACCESS TO SPARE TIRE CANNOT ACCESS SPARE TIRE IN HATCHBACK - UNABLE TO OPEN HATCHBACK DUE TO LOCK ACTUATOR FAILURE AND VEHICLE IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH AN EXTERNAL UNLOCK MECHANISM AT THE HATCHBACK. UNSAFE IF A TIRE FAILS. NO ACCESS TO THE SPARE TIRE.

TAKATA RECALL CAR IS SPUTTERING, AND THEN STALLING, ALARM SYSTEM GOES OFF UNEXPECTANTLY, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND OTHER LIGHTS GO OFF - READS AS MISFIRE AND HAS TO DEAL WITH EMISIONS SYSTEM. APPEARS TO HAPPEN IN OTHER MODEL HONDAS AND SOME TYPE OF SWITCH. DANGEROUS IF CAR STALLS IN TRAFFIC

THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL STALLED ENGINE INCIDENTS WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND ALSO STATIONARY AT A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT. NO ENGINE LIGHT HAS TURNED ON LEADING TO A WIRING ISSUE PERHAPS. NOT SO MUCH A MECHANICAL ISSUE MORE SO ELECTRICAL OF SOFTWARE RELATED. IT IS UNKNOWN WHEN THE ENGINE WILL TURN OFF. THERE ARE TWO RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH STALLED ENGINE FOR HONDA CR-V 2010. THERE ARE THE IGNITION CIRCUIT COUPLER FAILURE (11V004000) AND THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE (11V395000) HOWEVER MY VIN IS NOT APART OF THAT RECALL. I AM SCARED AND FEAR FOR MY LIFE THAT THIS STALLED ENGINE ISSUE WILL CAUSE MY CAR TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT OR EVEN WORST HAVE SOMEONE ELSE AND I GET KILLED.

I AM DEAF. PASSENGERS NOTE SOUND OF DOOR LOCKS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING CONTINUOUSLY WHILE DRIVING. ALSO PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK FROM INSIDE, A SEVERE SAFETY HAZARD.

I WISH TO COMPLAIN ABOUT MY 2010 HONDA CRV. I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH MY AIR CONDITIONING UNIT. WHEN IT IS HOT, IT BLOWS HOT AIR EVEN WHEN IT IS SET ON THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE. HOWEVER, WHEN IT IS NIGHTTIME IT WILL BLOW COLD AIR. HONDA EVACUATED AND RECHARGED THE SYSTEM ONLY FOR ME TO EXPERIENCE THE SAME ISSUES TWO MONTHS LATER. I WAS THEN TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE AC COMPRESSOR, COIL SET, CLUTCH SET, ETC. I WENT TO GET A SECOND OPINION AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE AC COMPRESSOR WOULD NOT EVEN POWER ON DUE TO ELECTRICAL ISSUES. IN RELATION TO ELECTRICAL ISSUES, MY CAR ALSO STALLED ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND I WAS ABLE TO HAVE THAT ISSUE RECTIFY WITHOUT TAKING IT TO HONDA.

I purchased my CRV from Roseville Honda about 5 years ago and recently 3 of my 5 lock actuators have gone out in the car making the doors unable to open. My vehicle is able to be inspected and I drive it daily. Upon research it was known when they had sold me my car that the actuators in these cars needed to be replaced and failed to do so or to tell me. Mine and my child's safety is at risk with the weather as hot as it is if we get locked in a hot car or out of the car with nowhere to go on these hot days it could be dangerous and even deadly. I have not had the vehicle inspected by the dealer but by my father who is a mechanic. Prior warnings would be my doors automatically locking while driving repeatedly since I bought the car. Case ID: 2:13-cv-00381 this is the case of the prior lawsuit filed by other Honda owners with the same issue so this was known before Roseville Honda sold me my car. I have contacted them about this as well as the 800# and have been told I need to pay $190 for a diagnostic and my car is out of warranty so they cannot help me.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA CR-V. AFTER THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE AND LOCKED THE DOORS, THE VEHICLE WOULD INADVERTENTLY RESTART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STARTED BY ITSELF FOUR TIMES IN THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS. THE CONTACT CALLED OHIO VALLEY HONDA (532 N 3RD ST, STEUBENVILLE, OH 43952, (740) 283-3435) AND WAS INFORMED THAT DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 83,000.

Car stalled, began to smoke while traveling at a low rate of speed on residential street. Found it had no oil. No warning light indicated oil was low. The A/C compressor stopped working mid-summer. Mechanic inspected, repaired. No longer in possession of this vehicle.

THE REAR LOCK HAS BECOME FAULTY AND IS MAKING A LOUD NOISE.
