THE WINDSHIELD WASHER ON THIS VEHICLE AND MY DAUGHTER'S SIMILAR CAR ARE A DEFECTIVE DESIGN. THEY DO NOT WORK IN THE COLD. ALSO THE WIPERS ARE INEFFECTIVE. THIS LEADS TO UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITIONS. *TR
THE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS ON THIS VEHICLE AND MY DAUGHTER'S SIMILAR CAR ARE A DEFECTIVE DESIGN. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ALREADY REGARDING THIS. THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN SEE DECENTLY IS WITH A COMBINATION OF LOW BEAMS AND DRIVING LIGHTS. *TR
WE RETURNED FROM SHOPPING AND PARKED CAR IN DRIVEWAY (APPROXIMATELY 30 DEGREE INCLINE). WENT BEHIND TO UNLOAD BACK AND THE CAR ROLLED BACK ON US ABOUT 4-5 FEET AT LEAST. WE HAVE SINCE BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE THIS TWICE. THE CAR IS FULLY IN PARK WITH THE ENGINE OFF WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THE ONLY INJURY (THANK GOD!) WAS MY BACK WHICH WAS JUST THROWN OUT A LITTLE DUE TO TRYING TO GET OUT FROM BEHIND THE CAR BEFORE IT RAN OVER ME. MY HUSBAND TWISTED HIS KNEE A LITTLE, BUT APPEARS OKAY OTHERWISE. BECAUSE IT IS SUNDAY, I CANNOT REACH ANYONE TO REPORT TO THE DEALER (BOMMARITO HONDA), BUT HAVE SENT THEM A MESSAGE DEMANDING THEY TOW THE CAR AND GET ME A LOANER IMMEDIATELY. NEITHER OF US WILL GET IN THIS CAR AGAIN. I'M VERY CONCERNED THERE MAY BE OTHERS AT SERIOUS RISK RIGHT NOW! *TR
WHEN STARTING THE CAR IN COLD (50 DEGREES F OR LOWER) OR FALLING TEMPERATURES, WITH A COLD ENGINE (NOT RUN FOR AT LEAST 8 HOURS), I HEAR WHAT SOUNDS LIKE A CRANKING SOUND FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AFTER THE ENGINE STARTS. THE CRANKING SOUND LASTS LESS THAN A SECOND AND SOUNDS LIKE SEVERE VIBRATION OF A PART WITH SCREWS/COMPONENTS THAT HAVE COME LOOSE. I'VE RECORDED THE SOUND AND HAVE THE FILE AVAILABLE. THE SOUND DOES NOT OCCUR WITH A WARM ENGINE. *TR
WHEN THE WEATHER IS COLD, MY CARGO LIFT WILL NOT OPEN. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE IN TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY PRETTY MUCH THOUGHT I WAS CRAZY. EVEN MY HUSBAND CAN'T GET THE LIFT TO OPEN WHEN THE WEATHER IS COLD.
WITH NO PREVIOUS SYMPTOMS OR PROBLEMS, YESTERDAY BACKING OUR OF PARKING STALL I COULD NOT TURN STEERING WHEEL; DASH POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT WAS ON. TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED CAR BUT LIGHT STAYED ON. CALLED SERVICE MGR AT DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM WHO SAID TO BRING IT IN. AT DEALERSHIP TOOK PICTURE OF DASH LIGHT AND HAD SVC MGR CONFIRM THE LIGHT WAS, IN FACT, ON. LEFT OVERNIGHT FOR SERVICE. TODAY, SERVICE MGR AND TECH SAID LIGHT DID NOT COME ON AND STEERING WAS NORMAL WHEN STARTED THIS AM. TECH NOTED A SLIGHT DROP IN VOLTAGE BUT STILL WAITING FOR DIAGNOSIS. LUCKILY I WAS PARKED WHEN THE PROBLEM OCCURRED, BUT HIS IS A VERY SERIOUS HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUE THAT COULD HAVE DISASTROUS RESULT SHOULD IT RECUR IN FAST MOVING TRAFFIC. HONDA NEEDS TO FIND A PERMANENT FIX FOR THIS IMMEDIATELY. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2013 CRV IN THE BEGINNING OF 2013 WITH VIN # [XXX]. WITH ABOUT 6,000 MILES AFTER THE FIRST OIL CHANGE, THE VEHICLE STARTS MAKING A CREAKING NOISE WHEN PUSHING AND RELEASING THE BRAKE. I WENT TO THE DEALER ON 11/11/13. A TECHNICIAN WAS ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE SECOND VISIT TO THE DEALER IS ON 11/25/2013. A MASTER TECHNICIAN WAS ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND IDENTIFY THE NOISE DOES NOT COME FROM THE BRAKING SYSTEM BUT FROM THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM. THE DEALER MADE A PHONE CALL TO HONDA TECH LINE AND WAS TOLD TO HOLD ON THE FIX AND WAIT FOR HONDA TO DO MORE INVESTIGATION. THE DEALER SAID HONDA WILL SEND ME A LETTER IN THE NEAR FUTURE. I WAITED FOR THE RESPONSE FROM BOTH DEALER AND HONDA FOR MORE THAN A MONTH AND HEARD NOTHING. THE DEALER TOLD ME TO CONTACT HONDA DIRECTLY. I CALLED HONDA IN END OF DECEMBER 2013, AND HEARD BACK FROM THEM IN 1/3/2014, A HONDA REPRESENTATIVE NAMED [XXX] IN 1-800-999-1009 [XXX] CALLED ME BACK AND TOLD ME THAT HONDA IS NOT GOING TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND REPLACE ANY PARTS BUT WILL DO MORE INVESTIGATION. HE MENTIONED THAT THE INVESTIGATION WILL LAST FOR 2 TO 3 YEARS. ALSO HONDA IS NOT CONSIDERING THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM IS FAILED OR DEFECTIVE, BECAUSE THE COMPUTER DID NOT NOTIFY THEM SUCH PART IS FAILED. [XXX] REFUSED TO GIVE ME MORE INFORMATION AND DID NOT WANT TO ISSUE A STATEMENT OR LETTER TO ME TO DESCRIBE THE PROBLEM AND WHAT FURTHER INVESTIGATION WILL HONDA DO. [XXX] KEEPS SAYING THAT HE IS NOT AN ENGINEER TO ANSWER ANY TECHNICAL RELATED QUESTIONS. THE DECISION MADE BY HONDA IS NO REPAIRING OR REPLACEMENT TO ANY PART TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA CR-V. WHILE PARKING, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND CRASHED THROUGH A GARAGE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
HI BEAMS ARE VERY INEFFECTIVE AND DANGEROUS. THEY SHINE TOO HIGH AND LIGHT UP THE TREES BUT NOT THE ROAD AHEAD. LIVE IN A VERY RURAL AREA WITH MANY DEER AND THIS IS OF CONCERN. IF THE DEALER LOWERS THE BEAM THEN THAT MAKES THE LOW BEAMS WORSE WHERE THEY WERE OK. SO ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF THE HI BEAM IS NOT THE SOLUTION AS IT THEN MAKES THE LOW BEAM TOO LOW. IT'S MORE A DESIGN FLAW WITH THE REFLECTORS I BELIEVE. ONLY REALLY NOTICED THE ISSUE ONCE WE CHANGED DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME AND I STARTED DRIVING MORE AT NIGHT ON RURAL ROADS. WHICH NOW BEING WINTER IS MORE AND MORE COMMON FOR ME SO IT IS A CONCERN WHEN HAVING TO USE THE HI BEAMS. *TR
THE HEADLIGHTS KEEP BLOWING. HAVE BEEN THROUGH 3 SETS IN 10 MONTHS! TAKEN IT IN TO HONDA, AND THEY BLAME THE CONSUMER'S IMPROPER INSTALLATION AS A CAUSE. WE HAD AUTO ZONE HELP US INSTALL THEM EACH TIME. BEEN COMPLAINING SINCE DAY 1 THAT THE HEADLIGHTS CONSTANTLY DIM AND COME BACK UP. HONDA BLAMES THE CARS "SMALL BATTERY" AS THE REASONING BEHIND IT. THEN IF IT'S THEIR "BATTERY" THAT'S CAUSING IT THEN MAKE THE SPACE BIGGER! ALSO, ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS HAVE NOTICED THE CAR LAGS WHEN HITTING THE ACCELERATOR. HAS ALMOST CAUSED MULTIPLE COLLISIONS. YOU PRESS THE ACCELERATOR EXPECTING THE CAR TO MOVE, BUT IT DELAYS. WHICH IS REALLY DANGEROUS WHEN YOUR TRYING TO MAKE A QUICK TURN. HONDA SAYS "IT'S NORMAL, ALL CARS DO IT". THERE REALLY NEEDS TO BE RECALLS ISSUED FOR THESE! THESE THINGS ARE MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES! I'VE REVIEWED MULTIPLE PEOPLE STATING THE SAME ISSUES WITH THEIR HONDA'S, AND YET HONDA REFUSES TO HELP THEIR CONSUMERS AND STILL CONTINUES TO PRODUCE FAULTY AND DANGEROUS CARS. *TR
I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF A VEHICLE WHICH CAN DRIVE ITSELF AT 7 - 14 MPH, FASTER IN REVERSE THAN FORWARD, WITHOUT ANYONE TOUCHING THE ACCELERATOR. I WAS PARKED IN MY 2 MONTH OLD CRV ON MY (LEVEL) DRIVEWAY ON A CLEAR DAY. I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE, TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, STARTED TO TURN TO LOOK BEHIND ME, HAD TO GRAB A BAG IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND HAD NOT YET TOUCHED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WHEN MY CAR CAME UP AGAINST ANOTHER VEHICLE WHICH WAS PARKED HALF WAY DOWN THE DRIVE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE. AT FIRST I THOUGHT I HAD HIT A DOG OR A CHILD, SOMETHING THAT MOVED TOWARD ME. I HAD NO REASON TO THINK A CAR COULD TRAVEL THAT FAST AND ON ITS OWN. IT CAUSED $886.00 IN 'MINOR' DAMAGE IN LESS THAN 3 SECONDS. THIS SELF-PROPELLING FEATURE WAS NOT MENTIONED IN THE MANUAL (WHICH I DID READ) NOR BY THE DEALERSHIP, WHO LATER TOLD ME THE VEHICLE WAS FUNCTIONING WITHIN SPECS AND THIS MOVEMENT WAS TO BE EXPECTED. AFTER POLLING 20 PEOPLE I UNDERSTOOD THERE ARE CARS WHICH 'CREEP' ONCE IN GEAR, SO I BORROWED 3 DIFFERENT VEHICLES TO TEST. FIRST I TRIED MY CAR. FROM A DEAD STOP, I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE AND THE CAR PROPELLED ITSELF AT 7- 14 MPH (900-1200 RPM) FOR 1/2 MILE THROUGH MY NEIGHBORHOOD. I REPEATED THE TRIAL AFTER THE CAR WAS WARMED UP. NO CHANGE. THEN I TESTED A 2014 FORD FOCUS, A 2008 LINCOLN MKZ, AND A 2013 CHEVROLET EQUINOX: SAME ROUTE AND CONDITIONS, NONE MOVED FASTER THAN 2-4 MPH. I LATER TEST DROVE A 2014 CRV AND IT ACCELERATES FASTER THAN MY 2013. I HAVE TO KEEP MY FOOT DEPRESSING THE BRAKE DURING SLOW TRAFFIC BECAUSE THE CAR MOVES BEFORE I FULLY RELEASE THE PEDDLE. THIS MEANS THE BRAKES ARE LIKELY TO WEAR OUT FASTER. I CAN'T BE SURE HOW THIS EFFECTS THE EXPECTED DECELERATION ONCE THE ACCELERATOR IS RELEASED. I FEEL THIS IDLE SPEED IS SIMPLY TO FAST TO BE DEEMED SAFE.
CORRECT RECALL ON SOME CRV - IF THE GEAR SELECTOR IS MOVED FROM THE PARK POSITION WITHOUT PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL IT CAN ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO ROLL AWAY, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. ACCIDENT I STOPPED MY CAR THOUGHT I PUT IT IN PARK AND LEFT IT RUNNING TO PUT UP A GARAGE SALE SIGN. THE NEXT THING I KNOW MY CAR WAS DRIVING AWAY BY ITSELF LIKE SOMEONE JUMPED IN THE CAR. I WAS OUT OF THE CAR AND ABOUT 10 FEET BEHIND THE CAR WHEN THE CAR STARTED TO MOVE. THE CAR WAS NOT ON A HILL BUT JUST STARTED GOING. THERE WAS NO WAY I COULD STOP IT AND THANK GOD IT HIT A MAILBOX THAT WAS IN A TUB OF CEMENT WHICH STOPPED THE CAR. IF IT DID NOT HIT THIS IT COULD OF KEEP GOING AND HIT SOMEONE ELSE OR SOMEONE ON THE MAIN ROAD ROUTE 46 IN MINE HILL. I AM AFRAID TO EVEN DRIVE IT WHEN I GET IT BACK. THIS IS A LEASED CAR AND I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE I HAD TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN. OF COURSE I GOT A TICKET. I AM CONCERNED SINCE I WOULD NOT LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE SOMEONE COULD OF BEEN KILLED. *TR
PAINT PEELING OFF AND CLEAR COAT CLOUDY. HAS BEEN HAPPENING SLOWLY OVER THE LIFE OF THE CAR.
TWICE IN A DAY AND WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME, FOUR MALFUNCTION LIGHTS APPEARED IN THE DASHBOARD AND STAYED ON. THEY WERE THE AWD, ABS, VSA AND EPS AMBER LIGHTS. I TOOK PICTURES OF THE DISPLAY IN THE DASHBOARD. THE NEXT DAY THE DISPLAY HAD CLEARED AND I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. I SHOWED ONE OF THE PICTURES TO THE SERVICE ADVISOR. AFTER 2.5 HOURS I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE TROUBLE AND THAT THE TROUBLE WAS POSSIBLY CAUSED BY SLIPPAGE IN RECENT WEATHER. THIS IS UNSETTLING AS IT MAKES ME WONDER IF I WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM ON RAINY DAYS. *TR
WHEN I TURNED ON BRIGHT LIGHTS WHILE DRIVING HOME ON A DARK COUNTRY ROAD, I COULD NOT SEE ADEQUATELY. THE ROAD IS ABSOLUTELY DARK IN FRONT OF CAR, AND THE RATHER DIM LIGHT IS INSTEAD FOCUSED FAR AHEAD IN THE TREES. THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE IS TO SWITCH TO DIM LIGHTS WHICH LIGHT ROAD IMMEDIATELY IN FRONT OF CAR (AND ARE -BRIGHTER" THAN THE "BRIGHT" LIGHTS), BUT DO NOT LIGHT FAR ENOUGH AHEAD TO BE ABLE TO AVOID HITTING ANYTHING (LIKE DEER) ENTERING THE ROAD IN FRONT. I'VE NEVER HAD LIGHTS THIS BAD ON ANY VEHICLE I'VE EVER OWNED. THEY ARE QUITE DANGEROUS. *TR
WHEN HIGH BEAMS ARE ON, THE LOW BEAMS GO OFF MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE FOR 25 TO 30 FEET. IF A CHILD OR A DOG WERE TO RUN IN FRONT OF THE AUTO I WOULDN'T HAVE ENOUGH REACTION TIME TO AVOID HITTING THEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WOULD BE AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER TWICE WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
AS THE DAYS BECAME SHORTER, I WAS DRIVING AFTER DARK AND NOTICED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS ARE DANGEROUSLY INADEQUATE. THE LOW BEAMS ONLY PROJECT ABOUT 10 FEET IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE (EVEN WITH THE DRIVING LIGHTS ON) AND THE HIGH BEAMS ARE VERY DIM AND OFFER VERY LITTLE LIGHT IMMEDIATELY IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. WHEN TURNING, THERE IS NOT ENOUGH LIGHT TO SAFELY SEE THE SIDE ROAD IF THERE ARE NO STREET LIGHTS. IN RURAL AREAS, THE DIM LIGHTS MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE WILDLIFE SUCH AS DEER SOON ENOUGH TO SAFELY AVOID THEM. MY CRV HAS BEEN RETURNED TO THE DEALER TWICE AND THEY WERE ABLE TO MAKE SOME ADJUSTMENTS TO TRY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE DEALER HAS TOLD ME THAT CUSTOMERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT POOR LIGHTING FOR MANY YEARS AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. I HAVE PURCHASED HIGH OUTPUT BULBS AND THE IMPROVEMENT HAS BEEN MINIMAL. I HAVE CALLED HONDA AND ASKED HOW I COULD OBTAIN THE BETTER HEADLIGHTS THAT ARE AVAILABLE IN EUROPE AND BEEN TOLD THAT I CANNOT. I HAVE ASKED IF DRIVING LIGHTS COULD BE LEFT ON WITH THE HIGH BEAMS AND TOLD NO. THE DEALER OFFERED TO INSTALL POST-MARKET NON-HONDA HEADLIGHTS FOR ME BUT HONDA TOLD ME THAT I WOULD VOID MY WARRANTY. HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY HEADLIGHT COMPLAINTS HOWEVER MANY COMPLAINTS ARE READILY AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET. SHE TOOK DOWN MY INFORMATION AND ENTERED IT INTO A COMPUTER AND I HAVE HEARD NOTHING BACK - THAT WAS A MONTH AGO. SOMETHING NEEDS DONE ABOUT THESE HEADLIGHTS - SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE SERIOUSLY INJURED AND OBVIOUSLY HONDA DOES NOT CARE. THIS SHOULD BE A SIMPLE FIX AS I KNOW THEY HAVE BETTER HEADLIGHTS FOR THIS VEHICLE IN THE EUROPEAN MARKET. *TR
WHEN I TURN ON ENGINE FOR THE FIRST TIME WITHOUT ANY 1-2 HOUR GAP, I HEAR A CRANKY ENGINE SOUND AFTER THE IGNITION. I FOUND THAT IT WAS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT IN 2013 MODEL. MY CLOSE FRIEND RETURNED HIS HONDA CRV AFTER A YEAR AS IT SOUNDED LOUD IN COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS OF MONTANA. IN MY CASE IT WAS NOT SOUNDING EVERYTIME TILL NOW. I NOTIFIED THAT TO MY CAR DEALER WHEN I TOOK THIS VEHICLE FROM BOB ROHRMAN. THESE DAYS IT HAS BECOME A DAILY ROUTINE, THAT SOUND IS HAPPENING EACH TIME YOU IGNITE ENGINE AFTER A GAP OF SAY 1-2 HOURS. MY BRAKES WERE ALWAYS NOISY SINCE DAY ONE OF THE VEHICLE. IT WAS ALSO NOTIFIED TO THE DEALER HOWEVER I WAS TOLD IT WAS DUE TO WET CONDITIONS. HOWEVER IT IS A REGULAR THING. MY CAR IS JUST 7880 MILES AND WELL KEPT, WHY IS THE BRAKE SO NOISY INCLUDING ANOTHER PROBLEM OCCURRING IN ENGINE NOW. PLEASE PROVIDE A RESOLUTION OR I WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO REQUEST FOR REFUND.
ON 4 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, FROM BEING STOPPED AND MAKING A TURN OR PROCEEDING THROUGH A STOP SIGN, THE CAR HESITATED LONG ENOUGH TO REALIZE THAT "I SHOULD BE MOVING BY NOW AND WHAT IS GOING ON", THEN THE CAR WOULD JERK FORWARD. (DIFFERENT DEGREES OF JERKING). FELT LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING. BOUGHT THE CAR IN 9-13. IT HAPPENED 3 TIMES BEFORE THE FIRST OIL CHANGE 1-14. THOUGHT IT WAS ME BECAUSE I WAS REPLACING A 13 YEAR OLD ODYSSEY THAT HAD A BAD TRANSMISSION. INFORMED DEALERSHIP AT FIRST OIL CHANGE AND INSPECTION... WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS NORMAL WHEN DRIVING WITH THE ECON SYSTEM. WHICH TELLS ME THEY ARE COMPLETELY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. AND THAT THERE WOULD BE NOTHING FOR THEM TO FIND UNLESS THE ENGINE LIGHT HAD COME ON. 4TH TIME WAS IN 5-14. ECON BUTTON WAS OFF AND I WAS TURNING LEFT INTO MY DRIVEWAY. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND HONDA CORP. WAS TOLD THEY "UNDERSTOOD MY FRUSTRATION" AND WOULD DO WHAT COULD TO FIND OUT THE PROBLEM. DEALERSHIP DROVE THE CAR AND COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND SAID THE CAR IS RUNNING"AS WAS DESIGNED". THAT'S RIGHT...UNTIL IT DOESN'T. THERE ARE COUNTLESS COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET OVER MANY YEARS. WAS TOLD BY HONDA THEY DON'T CHECK THE INTERNET. EVEN IF THAT WERE TRUE, WHAT ABOUT THEIR DEALERSHIPS SERVICE CENTERS? IT IS NOT SAFE! MY OLDEST IS A NEW DRIVER. I THOUGHT I WAS BUYING A SAFE CAR. *JS

WHILE DRIVING, I THOUGHT THE ENGINE WAS REVVING DUE TO THE SOUND THAT I WAS HEARING. I WENT FOR AN OIL CHANGE, AT 10,000 MILES, AND MENTIONED THE NOISE TO THE ADVISER. I TOLD HIM THE SOUND STARTED AT ABOUT 9500 MILES AND APPEARED TO BE GETTING LOUDER AT 10,000 MILES. I WAS TOLD IT WASN'T ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION OR ANY OTHER COMPONENTS OTHER THAN A WHEEL BEARING ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE. NO ONE LOOKED AT THE AREA TO DETERMINE IF IT WAS INDEED THE WHEEL BEARING. MY TIRES WERE ROTATED ALONG WITH THE OIL CHANGE. I WAS TOLD MY TIRES WERE FINE AND WEARING EVENLY. NOTHING WAS CHECKED OR DONE TO SPECIFICALLY SEE OR KNOW IT WAS/IS A WHEEL BEARING. I HAD TO REMIND THE ADVISER ABOUT THE NOISE I HAD BEEN HEARING. MY CAR WAS TEST DRIVEN BY THE FOREMAN TO HEAR THE NOISE. HE DROVE IT ON THE HIGHWAY, I WAS IN THE CAR. HE STARTED SWERVING THE CAR. HE THEN STATED IT WAS DEFINITELY A WHEEL BEARING. WHEN COASTING AT 10 TO 12 MPH, I PRESS LIGHTLY ON ACCELERATOR TO MOVE FORWARD, THERE IS NO REACTION. THE RPM DOES NOT CHANGE, THE CAR CONTINUES AT THE SAME SPEED. I MUST ROCK THE ACCELERATOR HARD TO GET THE CAR TO PICK UP SPEED AND THE CAR WILL LURCH FORWARD IF I GIVE IT TOO MUCH GAS. THIS IS NOT A ONE TIME INCIDENT. IT STARTED AT ABOUT1,400 MILES AND IS PROGRESSIVELY WORSE AT 7,000 MILES. HONDA'S EXPLANATION IS THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS AT A POINT OF WAITING FOR THE COMPUTER TO EITHER DOWN OR UP SHIFT. THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ATROCIOUS, ESPECIALLY ON HIGH BEAM. THERE ARE DARK SPOTS ALL OVER THE ROAD, IN THE CENTER OF THE ROAD, AND THE ROAD CANNOT BE CLEARLY SEEN. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD. I LIVE IN UTAH AND TRAVELING AT NIGHT, THE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE SO BAD I COULD NOT SEE A DEER OR OTHER WILDLIFE IF IT WERE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME ON THE ROAD.
