THE CAR VIBRATES LIKE CRAZY WHEN I COME TO A STOP WHILE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. THE VIBRATION IS COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND IT GOES IN AND OUT CONSTANTLY. FOR EXAMPLE STANDING ON RED LIGHT AND OR STOP SIGNS. I REACHED OUT TO HONDA AND THEY HAVE INFORMED ME THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. IN 2015/2016 HONDA CRV THEY PUT THE NEW ENGINE AND NEW CVT TRANSMISSION WHICH IS GARBAGE AND IS MAKING THESE VIBRATIONS. PLEASE HELP AS HONDA IS NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THANKS
CAR VIBRATES/SHAKES WHEN SITTING STILL IN IDLE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AND APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE CONTACT STATED THEY FELT A VIBRATION IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VIBRATION CEASED WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000.
MY BACK BREAKS (PAD AND ROTORS0 NEED REPLACING AT 35,000 MILES. NOISE STARTED AND MADE APPT. FOR TWO DAYS LATER. AUTO MASTER WHERE I PURCHASED THE CARE SAID I WAS LUCKY I GOT 35K OUT OF THEM, THEY HAVE SEEN THEM GO AROUND 22K. I HAVE NEVER HAD BREAKS GO ON A VEHICLE AT 35K. I HAVE READ MANY OTHER PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM ON THEIR CRVS. REPLACEMENT COST FROM DEALER IS OUTRAGEOUS. AND THE DEALERSHIP COULD HAVE CARED LESS THAT I ONLY GOT 35K OUT OF THE BREAKS. THIS WILL BE LAST VEHICLE PURCHASED FROM THEM AND THE LAST HONDA. MAY EVEN LOOK AT TRADING IT NOW AFTER THE BREAKS ARE DONE BEING FIXED. VERY DISSATISFIED WITH HONDA AND THE DEALERSHIP. I ALWAYS BELIEVED HONDA TO BE GREAT VEHICLES BUT AM LEARNING IT IS NOT SO. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER.
TAMARA RECALL... ON MAY 26, 2019 WE WERE TRAVELING DOWN FROM OUR MOUNTAIN HOME IN SEQUOIA MOUNTAINS ABOVE PORTERVILLE. IT WAS STARTING TO SNOW AT 4 PM. GOING BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MPH, ROUNDING A CURVE, IN LOW GEAR THE CAR LOST TRACTION WENT DOWN A 200 FOOT EMBANKMENT. SMASHED HEAD ON MORE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, INTO A LARGE BOULDER THE CAR FLIPPED ON ITS DRIVER SIDE AND LANDED IN A CREEK. THE FRONT AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, SIDE AIRBAGS DID HOWEVER. MY WIFE AND I SUFFERED INJURIES SHE SUFFERED A FRACTURED STERNUM, I SUFFERED A LOWER FRACTURE IN MY VERTEBRAE. FROM THE IMPACT OF THE CAR I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT AT LEAST THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT AIRBAG WOULD HAVE DEPLOYED, IT DID NOT, AND IF THEY HAD I'M NOT SURE MY WIFE WOULD HAVE SUFFERED THE INJURIES SHE DID.
TAKATA RECALL. ALTHOUGH MY CAR NOT ON RECALL LIST. ON SAT 11TH MAY, MY VEHICLE HIT A DITCH AND A TREE HEAD ON AND THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. MY CAR IS BEING TOTALLED FROM THIS COLLISION FOR EXTENSIVE DAMAGE. SPEED WAS 60 MPH PRIOR TO COLLISION ON I 95 IN MARTIN COUNTY FL.
AIR CONDITIONER NO LONGER WORKS
THE CAR WAS PARKED INSIDE MY GARAGE. YESTERDAY EVENING PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOWR WINDOW SHATTERED/EXPLODED AND GLASSES ARE ON THE SEAT AND FLOOR IN THE BACK SEAT. THE CAR WAS NEVER INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENT. IT'S LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD AND UNDER MANFACTURER WARRANTY. WHEN I CALLED HONDA THEY SAID THERE IS NO RECALL OR ISSUE REPORTED WITH THEM. HOWEVER I SEARCHED ONLINE AND LOTS OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT HONDA'S DIFFERENT MODAL WHERE THE DOOR OR BACK WINDOW JUST SHATTERED/EXPLODED. FORTUNATELY NO ONE WAS INSIDE THE CAR AND NO WAS HURT BUT IT'S VERY RISKY. I CAN IMAGINE IF MY DAUGHTER WOULD HAVE BEEN IN HER SEAT SHE MIGHT WILL HAVE GLASSES ON HER ENTIRE BODY.
I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN EC 2016 BRAND NEW. THE CAR WAS NEVER INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENT. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN GARAGE AND ALL THE SUDDEN WE NOTICE THAT THE VEHICLE'S PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR WINDOW EXPLODED/SHATTERED. I DID NOT FIND ANY DEBRIES OR ANYTHING INSIDE. I GOOGLED IT AND I NOTICE LOTS OF PEOPLE COMPLAINTS ON DIFFERENT HONDA VEHICLE WITH SIMILAR INCIDENT WHERE READ OR SIDE WINDOW EXPLODED/ SHATTERED. NO ONE WAS IN CAR SO NO ONE WAS HURT. BUT THIS IS A RISK BECAUSE NORMALLY MY DAUGHTERS SITS ON THAT SIDE. I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE IF THIS HAPPENED WHEN SHE WAS IN HER SEAT IN THE CAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (CLASSIC HONDA OF TEXOMA 2020 N HWY 75, DENISON, TX 75020 (903) 328-6024) WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ON 5-14-19. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000. THE CONTACT MENIONED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V305000 (ENGINE). *PM*JB
SMELL OF FUEL IN CABIN AND STALLING WHEN IN REVERSE
I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A LAG IN THE TAKE OFF IN MY VEHICLE CAUSED BY AN ISSUE WITH THE HONDA CVT OR CONSTANT VELOCITY TRANSMISSION. IT OCCURS AT THE MOST INCONVENIENT TIMES AND IS NOT PREDICTABLE. THE LAG OR PAUSE HAPPENS WHEN MERGING AND WHEN TRYING TO AVOID BEING HIT. THE SITUATION I AM TOLD BY HONDA SERVICE CENTER IS CAUSED BY AN OIL PRESSURE ISSUE TO THE CVT TRANSMISSION. HONDA IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND HAS NOT FIXED IT. I HAS BEEN TO D PATRICK HONDA ON 04/17/2019 IN EVANSVILLE INDIANA.THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW IF THE VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE OR NOT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SEAT BELTS WERE PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER A WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
MY 2016 HONDA CR-V RECENTLY GOT 21 MPG ON A 300+ HIGHWAY MILE TRIP. FROM DAY 1, THE ADVERTISED MILEAGE OF 32 MPG HAS NEVER BEEN REACHED. IT HAS STEADILY DECLINED TILL I AM GETTING 21 MPG. I RECENTLY READ AN ARTICLE WHERE HONDA ADMITTED THAT VEHICLES PRODUCED IN THE YEARS 2016-2019 CR-V'S WERE EXPERIENCING SIGNIFICANT MPG DECLINES DUE TO A DEFECT THAT WAS ALLOWING OIL TO MIX WITH GAS. THIS DEFECT AFFECTED AUTOS IN COLD CLIMATES, INCLUDING NEBRASKA WHERE I LIVE. THIS ARTICLE EXPLAINED THAT HONDA WAS NOT REGARDING THEM AS RECALLS YET, BUT THAT THEY WERE BEING SENT BACK TO THE FACTORY FOR REPAIRS. I CONTACTED HONDA AND THEY PLAYED DUMB, SUGGESTING THAT I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER ON MY DIME. I WANT ANSWERS, AND NOW.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA CR-V. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS PERFORMING A ROUTINE OIL CHECK, HE FOUND FUEL MIXED IN THE OIL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LARRY H. MILLER HONDA MURRAY (5808 STATE ST, MURRAY, UT 84107, (801) 590-0572) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT NO FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
I WAS DRIVING IN THE RAIN ON CITY STREETS WITH THE WIPERS AT ONE OF THE INTERMITTENT SETTING. WITHOUT WARNING, THE WIPERS DISENGAGED IN THE RESTING POSITION - STOPPED WORKING. I TRIED REPEATEDLY TO RESTART THE WIPERS, TURNING THEM OFF/ON, CHANGING THE INTERMITTENT SETTINGS, CHANGING FROM INTERMITTENT TO FULL SPEED, DIFFERENT SPEEDS, ETC. I EVEN TRIED USING THE WIPER FLUID TO SEE IF THAT WOULD ENGAGE THE WIPERS AGAIN - NOTHING WORKED. I TRIED REPEATEDLY OVER A 15 MINUTE PERIOD WITH NO RESULTS. THEN I TURNED OFF THE CAR, RESTARTED IT, AND THE WIPERS BEGAN WORKING PROPERLY AGAIN. (EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE IS UNDER FULL A WARRANTY, NO DEALERSHIP NOR AMERICAN HONDA WILL AUTHORIZE REPAIR BECAUSE THEY'VE BEEN 'UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE MALFUNCTION'; IN OTHER WORDS, WHEN I TAKE IT IT, THE WIPERS ARE WORKING AGAIN AND THEY CAN'T/WON'T AUTHORIZE MORE DIAGNOSTIC WORK TO IDENTIFY THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. I BOUGHT A HONDA CRV 2016 AND HAS 35,0000 MILES ON IT. HOWEVER, THERE IS A SUDDEN SHAKE AS SOON AS YOU PUT THE VEHICLE TO DRIVE. IN OTHER WORDS, THE RPM DROPS ON DRIVE BUT INCREASES IN PARK. THE CAR IS FAIRLY NEW AND IT SHOULD NOT DO THIS. ALSO, MY CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. THIS BECOMES A CAUSE OF CONCERN EVERYIME I AM AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, EVEN MY SEAT AND MY SIDE MIRRORS TENDS TO SHAKE ALSO, 2015 CRV WERE RECALLED BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE.
WHEN WE WERE REVERSING THE CAR BRAKES STOPPED RESPONDING. THE CAR WOULDN'T TURN OFF AND IT KEPT ROLLING BACKWARDS SO WE HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKES. WE PUT IT INTO DRIVE AND THE CAR STILL ROLLED BACKWARDS AND THE BRAKES WOULDN'T RESPOND.
EXCESSIVE OIL (NO OIL LEAK) ENGINE OIL DISAPPEARED 2 QUARTS AFTER ONLY 3000 MILES FROM LAST OIL CHANGE. NO TOWING, RACING, MOUNTAINS, ETC. CONTACTED HONDA, THEY SAY ACCORDING TO HONDA POLICY ONLY HONDA VEHICLES THAT CONSUMPT 1 QTR OIL PER 1000 MILE ARE CONSIDER ABNORMAL. SINCE MY CR-V CONSUMPT ABOUT 1 QTR PER 1500 MILE, HONDA SAY IT IS NORMAL AND WILL NOT HONORING THEIR WARRANTY.
BACK HATCH- EVERY YEAR IN FEB - WHEN TEMPS DROP TO SINGLE DIGITS THE BACK HATCH ON THE CRV WILL NOT WORK. CONSIDERING THERE IS NO INTERNALK RELEASE- THIS IS AN ISSUE IF ACCESS IS NEEDED. THE CAR HAS BEEN BROUGHT IN EACH YEAR TO A HONDA DEALER BUT IT DOESNT SEEM TO GET FIXED. THE ISSUE IS ALSO PREVELENT ON THE WEB GOING BACK TO 2012 ON THIS VEHICLE MODEL. RATTLING NOISE IN THE RIGHT SIDE/ BEHIND THE DASH BOARD WHEN THE A/C AND HEATER IS ON. IN ADDITION, THE A/C AND HEATER OFTEN GO OFF AND ON WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION.
NOXIOUS FUEL/ OIL FUMES IN CABIN CAUSING HEADACHES AND LIGHTHEADEDNESS. ALSO HEATER WILL NOT BLOW HOT AIR. HONDA REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE PROBLEM. INSTEAD BLAMING IT ON SHORT RANGE DRIVING AND COLD WEATHER ENVIRONMENT. HONDA AMERICA INSISTS THAT FUEL IN GAS IS NORMAL DESPITE EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY. ACCORDING TO HONDA, THIS (OUR CRV) WAS THE FIRST TIME THEY HAD A COMPLAINT. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE INVESTIGATE AND ISSUE A RECALL. WE HAVE RESORTED TO DRIVING OUR 2003 MODEL VEHICLE AND PARKING THIS NEWER CRV WHICH ONLY HAS 12000 MILES BUT HAS BEEN TO DEALER FOR THESE CONCERNS 4 DIFFERENT TIMES FOR FUMES AND 2 TIMES FOR HEATER.
WHILE BRAKING CAR ACCELARATED AND ENDED WITH HITTING A TREE.. EXTENSIVE DAMAGE WAS DONE TO FRONT END. HAD TO BE TOWED AND ESTIMATE FOR DAMAGES WELL OVER $7000. ALL I HAVE IS A QUICK PIC WITH MY PHONE SO I CAN TX TO YOU IF YOU NEED..
EXCESSIVE VIBRATION AT IDLE WHEN THE CAR IS IN DRIVE AND CAR GETS TO AROUND 600 RPMS AFTER VEHICLE IS WARM. YOU CAN INCREASE IDLE SPEED AND VIBRATION IS NOT FELT. VERY ANNOYING FOR A RELATIVELY NEW VEHICLE. DON'T AGREE THIS SHOULD BE A NORMAL IDLE VIBRATION CONDITION. FIRST NOTICED THIS CONDITION IN JANUARY 2019 AND ASKED DEALER TO CHECK OUT THIS ISSUE. AT THE TIME MY CAR HAD 30,377 MILES. SINCE THEN THIS ISSUE IS WORSE. HONDA SHOULD HAVE A FIX FOR THIS ISSUE.
HONDA CR-V 2016 TOURING VEHICLE TRAVELLING AT 55 MILES/HOUR ON A 57 NORTH FREEWAY WITH A DRIVER & PASSENGER STARTED PULLING TO THE RIGHT (OUT OF CARPOOL LANE), UNCONTROLLABLE AND ERRATIC BEHAVIOR. IMMEDIATELY BOTH FRONT AIRBAGS (DRIVER SIDE & PASSENGER SIDE) AND DRIVER SIDE SIDE-AIRBAGS GOT DEPLOYED (CURTAIN AIRBAGS). THE DRIVER TRIED TO CONTROL AND STEER THE VEHICLE TOWARDS THE LEFT CURB/DIVIDER TO AVOID GETTING INTO INCOMING TRAFFIC TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HIT THE DIVIDER AND TOOK A 180 DEGREE TURN AND STOPPED. ACCIDENT LOCATION: 57 NORTH CALIFORNIA, 1/2 MILE FROM KATELLA AVENUE VEHICLE CONDITION: FRONT BOTH TIRES FLATTENED, REAR RIGHT TIRE FLATTENED, FRONT BOTH AIRBAGS AND DRIVER SIDE SIDE-AIRBAGS DEPLOYED, VEHICLE FRONT AND SIDE DAMAGED

THE CONTACT STATED SHE MERGED TO THE LEFT TO AVOID AN IMPACT AND CRASHED THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF HER VEHICLE INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE OF ANY WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CMBS SYSTEM ENGAGED HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO IMMEDIATELY STOP WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT STATED SHE SUSTAINED A CONCUSSION AND NECK INJURY. THE CONTACT DID SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT STATED THE DRIVER FROM THE OTHER VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE AND WAS TOWED TO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE COSMETIC DAMAGES HAD BEEN REPAIRED BY INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED AS OF YET. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000. *TR CONSUMER STATEDI WAS UNABLE TO STOP MY CAR FOR ABOUT 1/4 MILE AFTER THE ACCIDENT. THE CAR CONTROLLED ITSELF AND I COULD FEEL IT SLOWING DOWN. BUT I COULD HAVE RUN OVER A PEDESTRIAN, DRIVEN INTO A RIVER, OR AN INTERSECTION BECAUSE I COULD NOT STOP THE CAR. *JB

BOUGHT A 2016. THOUGHT THE FIX WAS IN. DROVE 4.1 MILES OFF THE LOT . I WAS SO SICK AND NUMB LEGS AND HANDS. I HAD TO PULL OVER. DEALERSHIP PICKED ME UP. OFFERED TO ONLY FIND ME ANOTHER CAR FOR SAME PRICE. SAID ITS MY CAR BUT WONT FIX UNDER WARRANTY. THEN SAID IT'S NOT MY CAR. I HAVE NOT SIGNED ANY FORMS TO RELEASE IT. PAID 22K.
REAR HATCH WON'T OPEN OR CLOSE BY PUSH BUTTON IN COLD WEATHER AND DRIVER'S SIDE POWER WINDOW GRINDS GOING UP AND DOWN (HAD THIS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED 4 TIMES)
VEHICLE WAS SITTING IDLE AT A STOP LIGHT, AFTER BEING DRIVEN FOR APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES AT SPEEDS RANGING FROM 25-50MPH. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FLASHED, THEN WENT DARK, THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS STILL RUNNING WITH NO OTHER ISSUES IMMEDIATELY NOTED. DRIVER PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT ABOUT 300' AWAY, PUT THE VEHICLE INTO PARK, AND UPON EXITING SAW FIRE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS FULLY INVOLVED BY THE TIME THEY ARRIVED ON SCENE 7 MINUTES LATER.
ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS FOR THE PAST YEAR, THIS CAR HAS STALLED WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL. YOU PRESS THE GAS, THE CAR "CHUGS," AND EITHER SLOWS DOWN AND HAS TO CATCH UP TO ITSELF, OR IT COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF. IT HAPPENS PULLING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, AT STOP SIGNS, AND INTERSECTIONS. WE'VE BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES, AND THEY CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM. IT EVEN STALLED ON THEIR TECH ONCE, BUT THEY STILL COULDN'T FIX IT. THEY SUGGESTED REPLACING THE BATTERY, SO WE DID, AND NOTHING CHANGED. THIS IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS, AND NOBODY AT THE DEALERSHIP OR THE CORPORATE OFFICE DID ANYTHING TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE. I BELIEVE THIS CAR SHOULD BE RECALLED AND OFF THE ROAD IMMEDIATELY.

I CALLED HONDA AND WAS TOLD MY WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER IT AND THEY HAVE NO RECALL FOR IT..... TO CALL MY INSURANCE COMPANY! MY INSURANCE DOESN'T COVER IT BECAUSE THE WINDOW IS LESS THAN MY $500 DEDUCTIBLE! NOW I WILL HAVE TO PAY OUT OF MY OWN POCKET FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD CLEARLY BE COVERED BY HONDA!!!!

THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE WATER PUMP, GASKET, AND ALTERNATOR BELT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.

ON OCTOBER 22, 2018 WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY, THE SUN ROOF GLASS EXPLODED. THE SUNROOF WAS CLOSED AND NOT BEING USED AT THE TIME.

THE ENGINE IS LIGHTING UP.ONLY DRIVED 20000 MILE, WHY LIGHTING UP? DIAMOND HONDA CONFIRMED THE TRANSMISSION HASDEFECTED. SO THEY CHANGED AREMANUFACTURED TRANSMISSION TO ME AT 6/2/2020. A REMANUFACTURED OR REFURBISHED PRODUCT IS ONE WHICH IS NOT NEW BUT HAS BEEN TESTED, OFTEN REPACKAGED AND SOLD WITH A "REMANUFACTURED" OR "REFURBISHED" LABEL. A REMANUFACTURED OR REFURBISHED PRODUCT MAY NOT LOOK NEW, BUT IT WILL SHOW ONLY LIMITED WEAR AND IT SHOULD PERFORM AS NEW. THESE DEVICES MIGHT HAVE BEEN OPENED AND RETURNED, OR THEY COULD BE DEMO MODELS, TRADE-INS OR ITEMS RETURNED AT THE END OF A LEASE PERIOD. 3. I PICKED UP MY CRV ON 6/2/2020. THE TIRE MONITORING PRESSURE SYSTEM ON MY 2016 HONDA CRV HAS ALARMED 3 TIMES IN THE PAST 10 DAYS WITH NO SIGNIFICANT TIRE PRESSURE PROBLEM FOUND. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER FOR AN INSPECTION OF THE PROBLEM. THE SERVICE REP STATED THAT BECAUSE I HAD REPLACED THE PASSENGER REAR TIRE WITH A DIFFERENT MODEL, NOT SIZE TIRE, THE TPMS IS PRONE TO FREQUENT FALSE ALARMS. DUE TO SOME ON-LINE RESEARCH, I HAVE BECOME AWARE OF A HONDA SOFTWARE TSB14-006 THAT SHOULD REMEDY MY PROBLEM. SHOULD HONDA NOTIFY ME OF THIS UPDATE?

HONDA DEALERSHIP HAS HAD CAR IN SHOP 3 TIMES ATTEMPTING TO REPAIR. THEY HAVE SENT ME OUT TWO TIMES SAYING CAR WAS REPAIRED BUT EACH TIME CAR HAD TO BE RETURNED WITH SAME PROBLEM. DEALERSHIP HAS ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR CAR AND HAVE REPLACED 2 PARTS (UNKNOWN) PERTAINING TO EPS WITH NO SUCCESS. NOW THEY ARE ORDERING A 3 PART (UNKNOWN) IN ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE EPS. I HAVE EXPRESSED MY FEAR OF THE CAR TO HONDA CORP. OFFICE AS WELL AS DEALERSHIP. I AM AFRAID THEY WILL GIVE ME MY SUV BACK SAYING IT IS FIXED AND AGAIN I WILL FIND MYSELF IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN THE EPS GOES OUT FOR THE 4TH TIME. THE TPMS TURNS ON ABOUT VERY THREE MONTHS. I NOTED THIS TO BE HAPPENING WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH ON A HIGHWAY. I USUALLY HAVE TO STOP IN ORDER TO FIND OUT IF I HAVE A FLAT TIRE. IN ALL CASES IT WAS A FALSE ALARM THAT STAYS LIKE THAT UNTIL I TAKE IT TO BE LOOKED AT BY THE DEALER. THEY DO GET IT FIXED BUT IT KEEPS HAPPENING OVER AND OVER, AND THEY SAY THERE IS NOT MUCH THEY CAN DO TO HAVE IT PERMANENTLY FIXED.
