MY 2016 CRV HAS A STRONG ODOR OF UNBURNED FUEL. IT IS SO STRONG IT PREVENTS US FROM DRIVING. THE ODOR CAN BE SMELLED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE.
VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT, AND RECEIVED FRONT CRASH FROM INCOMING VEHICLE. AIR BAGS DID NOT WORK, AND SEATBELT BROKE. PASSENGER RECEIVED SIGNIFICANT BODILY INJURY
The contact owns a 2016 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the vehicle was idling extremely rough. The contact also stated that occasionally the vehicle turned off independently. In addition, the contact stated that while stopped at a light or stop sign, the vehicle was idling rough, and the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the vehicle was operating normally. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
ON 4/7/17 & 1/8/18 MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED ON DASHBOARD - BRAKE SYSTEM; SOME FEATURES MIGHT NOT FUNCTION. VEHICLE MOVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IN SNOWY WEATHER. TOLD BY DEALER WILL OCCUR WHEN SLUSHY OUTSIDE. DOESN'T SEEM REASONABLE WAY TO DRIVE IN SNOWY WEATHER. ON 1/9 /18 CAMERA FOR RIGHT TURN SIGNAL STUCK WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. TOLD BY DEALER JUST AN GLITCH
ONLY WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY, AND THE HVAC SYSTEM IS ON (A/C ON / OFF IS NOT RELEVANT) DOES THE CABIN BEGIN TO FILL WITH THE SMELL OF GASOLINE (NOT EXHAUST, BUT UNBURNED FUEL). *CN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN REVERSING OUT THE DRIVEWAY AND ATTEMPTING TO APPLY THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO IMMEDIATELY TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO PARK IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE FROM ROLLING. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE MOSTLY OCCURRED DURING COLD WEATHER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 650.
OFTEN THERE IS A STRONG FUEL ODOR INSIDE THE CABIN. THIS SEEMS TO OCCUR UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE WHEN WARM AFTER RECENTLY BEING DRIVEN; NOTICEABLE BOTH WHEN STATIONARY AFTER ENGINE START AND UPON STARTING TO DRIVE.
GASOLINE SMELL COMES INTO A CABIN: -WHILE DRIVING, -WHEN THE ENGINE STARTS AFTER 5-10 MIN OF RESTING GASOLINE SMELL COMES OUTSIDE OUT OF THE ENGINE. THE CAR WAS INSPECTED AT HONDA AUTHORIZED SERVICE AND THE ISSUE WAS CONFIRMED. THE ISSUE IS NOT REPAIRABLE ON MARCH 2017. THERE ARE FOLLOWING CONCERNS: - THE CAR MAY BLOW ON A RODE WHILE DRIVING - MAY CAUSE A FIRE WHILE STORED IN A GARAGE - MAY CAUSE HEALTH ISSUES DUE TO BREATHING GASOLINE FUMES
MY FEET GET TANGLED BETWEEN THE BRAKE AND GAS. I HAD UNINTENDED ACCELERATION DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. THE CAR IDLE IS SET AT 5MPH ONCE YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKE THE CAR ASSUMES YOU ARE GOING FORWARD AND DOES SEEK TO GO 5 MPH NO MATTER YOUR INTENTIONS. THE BRAKE AND THE GAS ARE ONLY 2.5 INCHES APART. WHEN TRYING TO BRAKE MY FOOT WAS PINNED UNDER THE BRAKE PEDAL AND CAUSING THE CAR TO GO 5 MILES PER HOUR. I HAVE AVOIDED ANY NUMBER OF UNTENDED CRASHES DUE TO THIS PROBLEM.
FUEL FUMES IN THE VEHICLE AND OUT OF THE VEHICLE. VERY NOTICEABLE WHEN PARKED IN GARAGE. WE WILL NOT PARK IN AN ENCLOSED AREA ANY MORE. WHEN YOU FIRST GET IN VEHICLE THE FUEL SMELL IS STRONG; ALSO STRONG WHEN BACKING UP. AT HIGHWAY SPEED THE SMELL DISSIPATES. HONDA STATES ITS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH NO FIX IN SIGHT! (THEY WERE ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE SMELL WITH NO ISSUE FOUND!) THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND WE DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING OR PARKING THIS VEHICLE NEAR OUR HOUSE.
WHILE IDLE AT TRAFFIC LIGHT, FRONT TWO SEATS SHAKE QUITE A BIT TO MAKE US NERVOUS. BUT WHEN TURN HEADLIGHT ON, THAT SHAKE REDUCED BY 80%. BUT ONE HEADLIGHT TURNED OFF/DAYTIME, ITS SHAKES AGAIN AFTER ONCE BREAK APPLIED
CR-V CABIN INTERMITTENTLY FILLS WITH GASOLINE FUMES, STONG GASOLINE ORDOR CAUSES EXTREME RESPIRATORY DISTRESS, INCLUDING BURNING, COUGHING, AND CHOKING. HONDA SAID THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND THERE IS NO FIX AT THIS TIME. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR AND THEY OFFER NO SOLUTION. IT HAPPENS UPON STARTING, IDLING, DRIVING, IT CIRCULATES THROUGH THE CABIN, CLOSING THE VENTS HELPS SLIGHTLY, STRONG GASOLINE SMELL ALSO VERY PROMINENT COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD AT TIMES. YOU CAN ALSO SMELL IT OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. IT IS SO STRONG IT FORCES YOU TO OPEN THE WINDOWS TO BREATH, AND PULL OVER AND OPEN THE DOORS. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND CONTACTED ANOTHER HONDA SERVICE DEPARTMENT THE DEALERSHIPS AND HONDA AMERICA ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT HAVE NO FIX. I WAS TOLD TO CALL HONDA AMERICA, I DID AND I WAS TOLD THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND HAVE OFFERED NO SOLUTION. THE CAR IS NEW 3900 MILES AND AT FIRST WAS TOLD TO DRIVE IT TO BURN OFF THE SMELL, PART OF BEING A NEW CAR, BUT IT IS GETTING WORSE.

THE VEHICLE HAS A VERY STRONG SMELL OF FUEL (GASOLINE) IN THE PASSENGER CABIN AFTER THE ENGINE HAS WARMED UP. IT IS ESPECIALLY STRONG WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN REFUELED, WHEN THE ENGINE IS WARM AND YOU ARE MAKING FREQUENT STOPS OR ARE BACKING UP. HONDA SERVICE STAFF STATE HONDA AMERICA IS AWARE OF THE COMPLAINTS WITH THE 2016 CRV BUT THEY HAVE NOT IDENTIFIED A PROBLEM NOR DO THEY HAVE A FIX. THEY DID HAVE ME COMPLETE A QUESTIONAIRE AT THE DEALERSHIP REGARDING THE PROBLEM AND THEY SAID HONDA IS HAVING ENGINEERS LOOK INTO THE PROBLEM. IN THE MEAN TIME, THE SMELL OF GASOLINE CAN BE SO STRONG THAT IT MAKES ME NAUSEOUS AND GIVES ME A HEADACHE. I AM QUITE SURE BREATHING IN THE SMELL OF TOXIC CHEMICALS IN A CONFINED SPACE IS HAZARDOUS TO A PERSON'S HEALTH AND I AM QUITE SURE THE HEAD OF HONDA WOULD NOT RIDE IN A VEHICLE THAT WREEKS OF GASOLINE INSIDE. I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE 3 MONTHS AND IT HAS 2156 MILES ON IT. IN THE BEGINNING, I THOUGHT IT WAS EXHAUST FROM CARS IN TRAFFIC AROUND ME. THEN I THOUGHT I MUST HAVE SPILLED GAS ON THE GAS WHEN I FILLED THE TANK, BUT CLEARLY IT IS NOT EITHER OF THESE ISSUES. THE GAS SMELL IS COMING FROM THE FUEL SYSTEM OF THE CAR AND IT NOT SAFE TO RIDE IN IT. THE GARAGE SMELLS LIKE GASOLINE AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING IN IT AND TURNED OFF. THE CAR DOES NOT USUALLY SMELL LIKE GAS WHEN I FIRST TURN IT ON OR IF I DRIVE IT A VERY SHORT DISTANCE. WHEN I DRIVE TO WORK (2 MILES) AND GET OUT AND IT SITS FOR 8 HOURS, I DO NOT SMELL GAS WHEN I GO HOME AT THE END OF THE DAY. IT IS WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR 15 OR MORE MINUTES AND MAKING MULTIPLE STOPS. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY HAVE HAD OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH SIMILAR COMPLAINTS BUT NO IDEA HOW TO FIX IT. MEANWHILE, I HAVE A 3 MONTH OLD $28,000 VEHICLE I CANNOT DRIVE SAFELY. IS THERE A WAY TO MEAUSURE NOXIOUS FUMES IN THE PASSENGER CABIN?
STRONG FUEL SMELL IN THE CABIN OF THE CAR WHEN I FIRST START DRIVING. BEEN NOTICING IT DAILY OVER PAST SEVERAL WEEKS.

STRONG GASOLINE ODOR IN CABIN UPON ENTERING VEHICLE, WHILE DRIVING, OR WHILE IDLING. HAPPENS WHEN STATIONARY, IN MOTION, ON CITY STREET, OR HIGHWAY. CAN BE DISSIPATED BY TURNING ON THE A/C OR OPENING WINDOWS BUT WILL RETURN AFTER CAR IS PARKED OR VENT FAN IS USED.
PURCHASED A 2016 CR-V IN NOVEMBER 2016 AND WITHIN A DAY THE CABIN OF OUR BRAND NEW VEHICLE FILLS WITH NOXIOUS GAS FUMES FROM A COLD START. THE FUMES ARE VERY STRONG, AFTER DRIVING THE CAR THE FUEL SMELL WILL LESSEN AND ON OCCASION THE SMELL WILL DISSIPATE COMPLETELY. THE SMELL WAS SO STRONG WE HAD TO ROLL THE WINDOWS DOWN. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THREE TIMES. FIRST TIME THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE SMELL. THIS ATTEMPT WAS NOT FROM A COLD START. SECOND TIME WE LEFT THE CAR OVERNIGHT SO THEY COULD EVALUATE FROM A COLD START. THE SERVICE TECH STATED HE COULD SMELL THE ODOR IN THE CABIN. HONDA TECH WAS CALLED BY THE TECHNICIAN AND I HAD TO COMPLETE AN ONLINE QUESTIONNAIRE ABOUT THE COMPLAINT. THE SERVICE WRITER SAID AT THIS TIME THERE IS NO FIX FOR THE PROBLEM AND WE COULD TAKE OUR CAR HOME AND WAIT FOR HONDA TO REPLY. THIRD TIME WE BASICALLY SAID WE DID NOT WANT THIS CAR IF YOU CANNOT FIX IT AND THEY GAVE US A LOANER CAR, A 2015 CR-V WHICH DOES NOT HAVE ANY ODOR. STILL WAITING ON THE DEALERSHIP TO CALL US WITH A SOLUTION. THIS WAS OUR FIRST HONDA PURCHASE. REALLY WISH I WOULD HAVE STUCK WITH MY PREVIOUS CAR MANUFACTURER.
MY WIFE AND I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2016 HONDA CRV SE ON FEB 16, 2017 THAT WAS MANUFACTURED ON 07/16. THREE DAYS LATER I FOUND BOTH FRONT STEERING KNUCKLES COVERED WITH RUST. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IN ANCHORAGE ALASKA CONTINENTAL HONDA WOULD NOT FIX THE ISSUE AND TOLD MY WIFE IT WAS A COATING. SOONER OR LATER THE BOLTS ON THESE KNUCKLES WILL CORRODE AMD CAN BRAKE.

THERE IS A STRONG NOXIOUS GASOLINE SMELL FILLING THE CABIN WHEN OPERATING THE VEHICLE. APPARENTLY HONDA HAS KNOW OF THIS ISSUE FOR SOME TIME AND HAS RECEIVED NUMEROUS COMPLAINS ABOUT THE PROBLEM IN THE LAST YEAR. DESPITE THIS, THEY KNOWING SOLD US THE VEHICLE WITHOUT DISCLOSING THIS POTENTIAL PROBLEM. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WE BOUGHT IT FROM (HOPKINS HONDA IN MINNESOTA) AND THEY CONFIRMED THE SMELL AND ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THIS IS A CONFIRMED PROBLEM, BUT STATED THAT THERE IS NO FIX AND THAT HONDA IS TRYING TO FIND A SOLUTION. IN THE MEANTIME MY FAMILY AND I ARE FORCED TO INHALE THIS FUMES WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE WHICH HAS RESULTED IN HEADACHES AND NAUSEA. I AM EXTREMELY CONCERNED ABOUT THE HEALTH OF MY FAMILY.
BAD VIBRATION WHILE THE CAR IS STOPPED IN GEAR SHAKES THE OCCUPANTS. THIS VIBRATION HAPPENS WHEN THE ENGINE RPM FALLS TO 500 TO 550 ON THE TACHOMETER. HONDA REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING TO FIX THE ISSUE BASED ON A FEAR OF THE EPA AND FUEL ECONOMY RATINGS FOR THE VEHICLE. HONDA CALLS THIS A NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VEHICLE BUT OUR FAMILY CURRENTLY OWNS 5 HONDA VEHICLES AND THIS IS THE ONLY ON TO EXHIBIT THIS ABNORMAL VIBRATION CHARACTERISTIC. THE VIBRATION WAS NOT AS PRONOUNCED UNTIL THE CVT SOFTWARE UPDATE (RECALL) WAS PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE. HONDA HAS TRIED SEVERAL THINGS TO REMEDY THIS VIBRATION BUT HAS BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL.
ON START-UP AND WHEN BACKING UP INTERMITTENTLY THE VEHICLE HAS A STRONG SMELL OF RAW GASOLINE INSIDE THE CABIN. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN RECENTLY FUELED (CURRENTLY HAS 1/4 TANK). DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT HONDA HAS ISSUED NO SERVICE BULLETINS OR COMMUNICATIONS FOR THIS ISSUE. ONLINE POSTINGS, AND NHTSA COMPLAINTS, SHOW OTHER 2016 CR-V OWNERS ARE REPORTING THE SAME ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL DOES MY HONDA HAVE A TAKATA AIR BAG.
THE VEHICLE CABIN SMELLS LIKE GASOLINE WHILE DRIVING. THERE ARE NO LEAKS ANYWHERE, THIS IS PERSISTENT. I LOOKED ON A HONDA CR-V FORUM AND SAW MANY PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP IS UNABLE TO FIX IT, HONDA HAS DONE NOTHING. THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT FILED FOR THIS PROBLEM. *TR
IN LATE NOVEMBER/EARLY DECEMBER, I BEGAN TO SMELL GASOLINE FUMES IN THE CABIN OF MY 2016 HONDA CRV. THE PROBLEM HAS REPLICATED AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES AND THEN LEFT IDLING. ON JANUARY 7TH WHEN MY CAR WAS DROPPED OFF AT LIA, I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL WITHIN AN HOUR STATING THAT THEY REPLICATED THE SMELL. LIA HONDA HAD MY CAR FOR 35 DAYS. ON FEBRUARY 10TH, THEY CONTACTED ME AND TOLD ME THEY HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO REPLICATE AND I NEEDED TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE. ON FEBRUARY 21, I MET WITH THE DISTRICT MANGER WHO STATED THAT IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH 2016 HONDA CRVS BUT THERE IS NOT CURRENTLY A FIX.AFTER SPEAKING WITH HIS FIELD ENGINEER, THE DM SAID THEY CURRENTLY HAVE 46 CASES OF GASOLINE FUMES ENTERING THE PASSAGER CABIN. HONDA CORPORATE ALSO ADMITTED THAT THEY CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE A FIX FOR THE FUMES BEING RELEASED INTO THE PASSENGER CABIN. LIA HONDA REPLACED THE CHARCOAL CANISTER IN AN ATTEMPT TO FIX THE RELEASE OF FUMES INTO THE VEHICLE. ON MARCH 18, THE FUMES RETURNED AFTER AN ATTEMPTED REPAIR. ON MARCH 20, LIA REFUSED TO SERVICE MY VEHICLE.
STRONG GASOLINE SMELL IN THE COCKPIT AND IN THE GARAGE. THIS IS ESPECIALLY EVIDENT WHEN STARTING OR STOPPING.
TPM LIGHT COMES ON AFTER TRAVELING 2 1/2 HOURS ON HIGHWAY AT 75 MPH. CHECKED TIRES AND CONSTANTLY SHOWS PRESSURE HIGH. TIRES CHECKED DAY BEFORE TRIP AT 32 PSIA WITH TPM LIGHT COMING ON DURING HIGHWAY DRIVING. CHECKED TIRES AFTER TPM LIGHT COMES ON AND TIRE PRESSURE WAS 35 PSIA. HAPPENED THREE TIMES ON TRIPS OVER 21/2 HOURS OF HIGHWAY DRIVING. DEALER SAYS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. ANNOYING SINCE I WILL HAVE TO BRING A TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE AND CHECK ALL FOUR TIRES TO SEE WHEN THE TPM LIGHT COMES ON AND SEE IF WARNING IS DUE TO TIRES HEATING UP DURING LONG PERIODS OF HIGHWAY DRIVING RESULTING IN HIGHER TIRE PRESSURE. *TR
THE VEHICLE IS EMITTING A VERY STRONG GAS ODOR! IT IS MOST NOTICEABLE WHEN I OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE HOUSE TO THE GARAGE (EVERY TIME.) THE ENTIRE GARAGE SMELLS LIKE GAS. IT IS NOTICEABLE WHEN STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. IT IS NOTICED WHEN COMING BACK TO THE CAR AFTER HAVING GONE INTO A STORE FOR A QUICK ERRAND(S). I TOOK THE CAR TO A HONDA DEALER. THEY KEPT IT OVERNIGHT AND FOR MOST OF A DAY. WHEN I CAME IN I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A JUST A NEW CAR SMELL. HOWEVER, THE SMELL CONTINUES AND SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE.

THERE IS A FUEL SMELL WHICH IS VERY NOTICEABLE WHEN IDLING. THE DEALER SAID IT IS THE WINTER FUEL BLEND BUT WINTER IS OVER AND THE SMELL IS STILL THERE. THIS SOUNDS LIKE IT COULD BE DANGEROUS AT MANY LEVELS.
A SNOWSTORM ON DECEMBER 5, 2016 LEFT ME UNABLE TO NAVIGATE THE ROAD SAFELY BECAUSE THE ALL SEASON TIRES BOUGHT WITH THE CAR BECAME STIFF WITH COLD AND HAZARDOUS IN SNOW. BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/P SPORT AS P265/65R17 ARE CLEARLY NOT ALL SEASON TIRES AND DO NOT BELONG ON CR-VS SOLD IN COLD CLIMATE STATES. I ATTACH MY RECEIPT FOR OTHER TIRES I PURCHASED TO REPLACE THESE AND MY LETTER TO HONDA.
WHEN CRV IS STATIONARY AND IDLES, THE CABIN FILLS WITH GASOLINE SMELL AND IS NAUSEATING AND GIVES MY WIFE HEADACHES. IT HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE WE BOUGHT NEW IN DECEMBER 2016 AND THE HONDA DEALER SAID THEY WOULD LOOK INTO IT AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THERE IS A DISTINCT GASOLINE SMELL IN THE CABIN WHILE DRIVING AND ALSO SOMETIMES WHILE PARKED IN THE GARAGE. THE FIRST TIME WE NOTICED THE ODOR WAS IN NOVEMBER OF 2016. WE HAVE NOTICED IT AT LEAST A DOZEN TIMES SINCE THEN. AFTER TAKING IT TO A HONDA DEALERSHIP, WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT HONDA IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT THERE IS NO FIX.
I AM HEARING A VIBRATION WHEN ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE HEATSHIELD WAS KINKED WRONG AND REPLACED REAR BODY HEAT SHIELDS. STILL HEARING AND FEELING VIBRATION!
WHILE DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE TRAVELING 70 MPH THE BACKSEAT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW (WHICH WAS CLOSED COMPLETELY) SHATTERED AND IMPLODED INTO THE ENTIRE BACKSEAT AND FLOOR OF VEHICLE. DRIVING STRAIGHT, 70 MPH ON INTERSTATE WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON, NO OBJECT COLLISION. VEHICLE IS APPROX. 6 MONTHS OLD (PURCHASED NEW) WITH JUST UNDER 10K MILES ON IT. VEHICLE ONLY SERVICED BY HONDA DEALERSHIP AND OTHERWISE IN MINT CONDITION. AFFECTED WINDOW WAS UNDAMAGED PRIOR TO THE EVENT; NO CRACKS, STAR MARKINGS, OR CHIPS NOTED ON WINDOW PRIOR TO EVENT. BACK OF CAR FILLED WITH SHATTERED GLASS AND TINY SHARDS OF GLASS. FORTUNATELY NOBODY WAS IN THE BACKSEAT AT THE TIME.
2016 HONDA CR-V VIBRATION ISSUE - MORE THAN TWO MONTHS AGO, I STARTED TO NOTICE A SLIGHT VIBRATION UNDER MY DRIVER'S SEAT WHEN AT IDLE, E.G. SITTING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, I RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM AHMC REGARDING A SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE ASAP ON MY VEHICLE. THE NOTICE MENTIONED THAT, "THE SOFTWARE IN THE PCM CAUSES A LOW PRESSURE PROBLEM IN THE CVT. THIS MAY ALLOW THE BELT IN THE CVT TO SLIP. IF THE BELT SLIPS, YOU MAY SEE A SURGE IN RPM WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. IF THE BELT SLIPS THE TRANSMISSION WILL BE DAMAGED AND DTC P1890 (THE CVT SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM) WILL SET." THE SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS COMPLETED ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND SINCE THEN, I HAVE EXPERIENCED A MORE PRONOUNCED VIBRATION UNDER MY DRIVER'S SEAT AND EVEN INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THE INTENSITY OF THE VIBRATION VARIES, BUT IT HAS NOT GONE AWAY. NOW THAT I HAVE HIT THE 5K MILE MARK AND HAD MY FIRST SERVICE DONE, I AM AFRAID THAT THE OLDER THE TRANSMISSION GETS, THE WORSE THIS PROBLEM MIGHT BECOME. THE SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD ME THAT THE SOFTWARE UPDATE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VIBRATION ISSUE, BUT I AM NOT CONVINCED. BEFORE BUYING THIS VEHICLE, MY RESEARCH INDICATED THAT MANY CUSTOMERS WITH THE 2015 MODEL STARTED TO REPORT THE VIBRATION ISSUE RIGHT AROUND THIS TIME (5K MILES + OR AROUND THE FIRST SCHEDULED SERVICE) AND FOR MOST, THE PROBLEM BECAME WORSE. I AM CONVINCED THAT THESE ISSUES ARE RELATED TO THE NEW CVT TRANSMISSION. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN LOYAL TO THE HONDA BRAND AND I REALLY LIKE THIS VEHICLE, BUT I AM STARTING TO REGRET MY PURCHASE!!! :-( *TR

AFTER SPENDING 20 MINUTES DRIVING I GET NUMBING PAIN IN BOTH LEGS. I DON'T HAVE ISSUES SITTING ON ANYTHING ELSE OR OTHER CARS. I HAVE VISITED A CHIROPRACTOR NUMEROUS TIMES AND HE DOESN'T SEE ANYTHING MISALIGNED IN MY BACK. I HAVE TRIED VARIOUS PILLOWS TO HELP ALIVIATE THE PAIN WITH NO SUCCESS. I HAVE RETURNED TO THE DEALER TWICE BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN AN INCREASE IN MY OIL LEVEL AND A GASOLINE SMELL ON THE DIPSTICK. TWICE THE DEALER CHANGED MY OIL AND FILTER--AT NO CHARGE--BUT NO FIX. THERE MAY BE SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUES IF THE DILUTED OIL FAILS TO PERFORM PROPERLY AND THE ENGINE SEIZES.
AT THE END OF A PRIVATE ROADWAY, I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE IN ORDER TO SWITCH TO REVERSE AND BACK UP INTO A PARKING AREA. WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND WOULD NOT STOP. IT HIT A GARAGE DOOR, AND THE REAR OF TWO VEHICLES BEFORE FINALLY COMING TO A STOP. THE ENTIRE TIME, MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE AND WAS ON THE BRAKE WHEN IT FINALLY STOPPED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED.
