In November 2024 I received the recall notice for our 2024 Honda CR-V power steering, Honda Campaign number QJT. I called our dealership on December 2, 2024 and was told they were not scheduling the repairs at the time and they took my information and said I would be contacted by them when scheduling takes place. I waited and didn't hear back. Today, January 8, 2025 I called to inquire. I was told they are scheduling the repairs in November 2025! Way past the sixty days from the date of first contact. My complaint is that this recall is not being made a priority from Penske Honda, Indianapolis Indiana. Any safety recall should be repaired in a timely fashion.
I received a safety recall notice for my vehicle in November and immediately called 3 different local Honda dealerships in the area to try to get it serviced. None were able to accommodate me or schedule me for service. I was put on a wait list at some, but still have not been called to schedule. Today I followed up again and still can not get an appointment as they say they don't have parts. Your letter says Honda is supposed to remedy this in 60 days, but it appears that will never happen. How do I get them to fix the car as they are required to do? I am filing this complaint per the letter. Thanks for your help.

As a result, the vehicle was involved in a rear-end collision. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic per the insurance company where it remained and the hatch, body line, hybrid batter, and bumper along with other unknown components needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and was pending repairs. No air bags deployed. The contact who was a front passenger sustained a herniated disc, the neck, shoulder, spine, and entire back, and urinary tract injuries. Active recall 24V-744. Call dealer and they state Honda has no parts and no timeline on availability. Same issue existed on another 2024 new Honda before safety recall and had to open NCDS case as they wanted me to wait for parts 4 months on that car. Now same problem and they have no parts to correct - this is inexcusable.
Had all of the warning adaptive driver assistance systems malfunction off all of a sudden warning me to pull over and contact dealer. Car was driving fine but scared me so much that I pulled over. Awaiting to hear back from dealer. I bought the brand new 2024 Honda CRV Hybrid in January and it has 12000 miles on it so far.
Car suddenly slows for no reason. No accidents yet. No police reports. Car suddenly slowing for no reason causes driver confusion and can invite rear end collisions from cars behind. Driving 45 mph with cruise control engaged on a two lane road, car suddenly slows to about 20 mph for no reason. It has happened 3 times randomly at about the same spot in one highway and and twice on other highways. Suddenly slowing while passing large vehicles causes driver confusion, invites rear end collisions, and the inability to safely complete the passing of the large vehicle. When driving 65 to 70 mph with cruise control engaged and passing an 18 wheeler, the car randomly suddenly slows to about the speed or the truck when it is about 10 feet from being nose to nose with the truck. Happens every 5th to 10th passing of an 18 wheeler.
Unable to open doors with manual key after U0155 error code (lost comms with Isttument panel control cluster) and "emissions problem. Power may be reduced. Contact dealer" notification. Vehicle was left overnight after codes cleared and will not turn on or open doors. Dealer to investigate.
Vehicle purchased new, in October 2023. During October, 2024, the drivers side rear view mirror developed a vertical crack, about an inch from the right edge. There is no damage to the vehicle / mirror housing. There was no impact. There was no significant temperature change. I just walked to my car one morning to see the mirror cracked. I've contacted 2 Honda dealerships & they want > $200 to repair.
3 Check engine lights came on when my car was transitioning from electric to gas while I was sitting idle. I towed my brand new car (6500 miles) to the honda dealership and they diagnosed it as faulty fuel injectors, a bad spark plug, and a bad ignition coil. The dealer said this is a widespread issue and they have been servicing this type of issue very frequently.
I am currently experiencing a safety recall regarding the Sterring Gear box on my 2024 CRV Hybrid and the fuel system recall as well. The dealer is currently refusing to take the vehicle in until they have parts available in DECEMBER. This is clearly to avoid lemon law and I would like to report the dealer for engaging this behavior.
Both side mirrors shake vigorously while driving at any speed. It is very hard to focus and see the image in the side mirrors. Most of the time I have to use the rear view mirror to see behind me. The shaking is so severe that sometimes if I’m looking at the side mirror trying to see it will make my head hurt.
I had the vehicle parked, when I returned and started the vehicle the steering wheel wouldn’t move to either direction it was locked. When I placed the vehicle in drive it started to back up. I still could not move the steering wheel. I placed the vehicle back into park, waited 3 to 4 seconds to analize the situation. I again placed the vehicle in drive and it would go in reverse altho in drive. I shut the car off waited a few seconds & I restart it. Now the steering wheel moved normally and when put in drive it went forward. My concerns are the vehicle steering wheel would not move & when placed in drive it would go in reverse.

There’s a recall for a faulty fuel pump. Potential fuel leak. It’s been out for almost a month and no remedy. Not sure if there’s an urgency by Honda but a fuel leak sounds like this needs to be fixed asap.

1) The ventilator in front of the driver is malfunctioning above 40 MPH, thus causing a vibrating noise 2) Given how loud the vibrating noise is, the driver cannot hear an ambulance, police vehicle, or the passenger next to them when driving above 40 MPH 3) Yes, the problem was reproduced by the service center at Muller Honda in Highland Park, Illinois 4) Yes, the vehicle was inspected by Muller Honda. Initially, we thought the source of the issue was a defective windshield. However, after the inspection, Muller Honda claims that it is the ventilator in front of the driver that is causing the issue. They tested another 2024 Honda CRV Hybrid and found that it is also experiencing the same issue, thus suggesting a fleet-wide defect 5) There were no warning lamps or messages suggesting that there is a problem
The back up camera is in black and white with low contrast. It occasionally flashes in color, but it makes it nearly impossible to use safely.
On driving to the other side of the state from my home to visit family on [XXX] in Michigan, I was driving 70-75 miles per hour. It takes close to 3 hours of driving one way. There was a lot of insects hitting my windshield and when I used the wipers the water just flew over the windshield, not getting my window wet to enable the wipers to clean my windshield. If I am driving 30-50 miles per hour that doesn't happen. I could not get my windshield clean of the bugs which inpaired my vision. I talked with the service department and they said it is the way the wipers are made and they can not do anything about it. I did call Honda Customer Care Line and I have a case #[XXX]. They told me to contact you because it can be a hazard when traveling, which I do often to see my family. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

1. my car has steering wheel gearbox recall. I contacted the dealership where I purchased the car in "Phillipsburg Easton Honda" but they vaguely answered me saying that they don't have the part to repair it and will let me know when they have. Without telling me any time frame to repair it. 2. The gate door malfunctions when trying to open it manually from outside using the rubber handle on the gate door. It is randomly happens, not always. 3. Lane departure warning malfunctions and in many occasions I received warning and steering wheel shakes when I drive inside the lane.

improperly produced steering gearbox worm wheel, the wheel can swell during use, reducing the grease film thickness between the worm wheel and worm gear. In addition, the worm gear spring preload was set improperly high, increasing the sliding force between the components. As a result of the reduced grease film thickness and increased sliding force, friction between the worm wheel and worm gear increases.

I pulled into a parking space and I was in the process of stopping and almost completely stopped. The car started moving and sped up. I was on the brakes. It kept going faster. While I was thinking about what to do, I hit a sign with a brick base, but the car didn't stop. I thought of putting it in neutral, like they recommended when the Toyotas did this several years ago. In neutral, the car stopped. By that time, I had gone across a busy street and pulled into the parking lot of a gas station. Luckily, I didn't hit any other cars or the gas pumps.
Fuel Injectors failed on all 4 cylinders. They replaced them, still having issue. Blown head gasket was what they diagnosed next and repaired. Picked up vehicle, when driving it down the interstate (70 mph speed limit) the check engine light started flashing. An error came up indicating a Critical Failure. Vehicle stopped accelerating and would not move, luckily I was able to coast to the emergency lane. American Honda states they want to replace the cylinder head now.
Car was only a couple months old. Started shuttering and losing power while driving on freeway, all wheel drive function cut out also. No lights or indication of a problem until a couple of days later. Took to dealer, turns out the fuel injectors failed. Mostly with the 2024 CRV Hybrids, but seems that other 6th gen years are affected also. Contacted Honda corporate office and they are pretending to not know of any issues, even though a simple google search will show many other people are reporting the same thing.
All driving assistance features (Lane Departure, Adaptive Cruse Control, ABS and other sensing components) , warning flashing on dashboard and within a second of this message speed drastically reduced to 20mph from whatever speed on running. It does not allow me to escalate but after some time it escalates on its own. Due to reduce of speed suddenly puts me, co- passengers and other vehicles behind on risk of collision or even risk of life and same time unexpected escalation makes driver lose control. These incidents happen thrice even after service center says it fixed. This problem is reported to service center and Honda customer care. Currently the vehicle is with dealer service center.
It is making like diesel trucks sound with vibrations while accelerating the speed! Since few days.
Component: Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) My car has less than 2,000 miles on it. I have experienced the situation described below 3 times now. Traffic on a freeway/highway slowed down quickly, and I stepped on the brake pedal to slow down quickly but still gradually. However, the collision auto-braking system activated and my car suddenly halted to a stop with plenty of room (about 1 and a half cars length) ahead of me. In 2 of those situations, I can see the car behind me quickly react by swerving into the shoulder. Rather than improve safety, this feature created a dangerous situation. In 1 of these situations, I released the brake pedal to move forward slightly (without stepping on the accelerator) and then stepped on the brake down slightly to slow down; the automatic braking system jerked the car to a stop once again.
A sudden acceleration occurred while pulling into a diagonal parking spot causing the car to hit the vehicle parked in front.
The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced phantom braking. The "BRAKE" message was displayed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000. The VIN was unavailable.
My wife was driving on a 4 lane road after it was wet. The road is flat but bended to the right. Traveling in the middle lanes, the braking system engaged and the brakes fully locked while she was at a driving speed of 25 mph and the car slid across the lanes as she entered the turn. She said it lasted for about 10 seconds before the brakes disengaged.
The Honda of Downtown Chicago dealership has informed us that there is a fuel injector problem with this vehicle. On 8/11/24 it caused the vehicle to cycle through a series of errors before it stopped accelerating on the highway with our young son inside, and eventually stopped moving altogether after we were able to get off on an exit. When the car failed, we were given a final Power System warning. It should be noted that we took the vehicle to the Honda of Downtown Chicago dealership months prior for a the same kind of warning lights (Emissions warning, Lane Departure warning, etc) and a very loud rumbling noise. At that time, the servicing team at the dealership DID NOT disclose that it was or could be a fuel injector issue. Instead, they said that the computer just needed to be “reset” and that the rumbling could be attributed to the vehicle being a hybrid. At this time, the vehicle is with the Honda dealership for repair. They have not provided a timeline for repair or provided a loaner car.
Horn on vehicle is too low, other vehicle can’t hear when driver sound the horn. This is a safety issue because it limits a warning precautions. Most vehicle has a low and high horn this model only has a high. This is too low
Reverse camera will go black and white from time to time. I had recorded a video of this incident and showed it to Honda, but they wanted to charge me $180 to diagnose the issue. I was not willing to pay that as the car is still under warranty.
