2003 HONDA ODYSSEY. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE SLIPPING INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING. *SMD
MY WIFE HAD THE ACCELERATOR STUCK AT FULL THROTTLE WITH CANNON/WEATHERTECH FLOOR MATS TODAY AND IT GAVE HER QUITE A SCARE, ESPECIALLY SINCE OUR TEN YEAR OLD SON WAS ALSO IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME. SHE HAD IT FLOORED TO PASS A SLOW MOVING VEHICLE ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY WHEN THE ISSUE OCCURRED. I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON BECAUSE WITH THE VAN OFF AND IN THE GARAGE, IF I PUSHED THE PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN, IT HAD PLENTY OF CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE PEDAL AND THE FLOOR MAT. HOWEVER, ON FURTHER INSPECTION, I NOTICED THAT IF YOU PUSHED DOWN ON THE MAT APPROXIMATELY WHERE YOUR HEAL WOULD BE, IT PUSHED THE MAT DOWN INTO A DEPRESSION IN THE FLOORBOARD AND CAUSED THE FRONT LIP OF THE MAT TO RAISE UP. WHEN THE LIP OF THE MAT WAS RAISED UP, IT WOULD CATCH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND CAUSE IT TO STICK. TO REMEDY THE ISSUE WE CUT A BIG PIECE OUT OF THE FRONT LIP OF THE MAT AND THEN VERIFIED IT HAD PROPER CLEARANCE EVEN WHEN PUSHING THE MAT DOWN INTO THE DEPRESSION IN THE FLOORBOARD. WE'VE HAD THESE MATS OVER TEN YEARS AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO US. I HOPE REPORTING THIS WILL ENABLE A RECALL OR SOMETHING TO PREVENT OTHERS FROM GETTING KILLED OR INJURED. I REALIZE THIS IS AN AFTERMARKET VEHICLE PRODUCT BUT HOPE YOU ARE STILL ABLE TO HELP. I FIGURED OUT THE SOURCE OF THE ISSUE BY RESEARCHING AND DISCOVERING THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO OTHERS AS WELL. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V344000 AND 15V320000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PART DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A BURN ON THE LEFT HAND THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOWING COMPANY LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SECOND GEAR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V176000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V176000 (POWER TRAIN), WHICH EXPERIENCED HEAT BUILD-UP BETWEEN THE COUNTER SHAFT AND SECONDARY SHAFT SECOND GEARS IN THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO MOVE SLOWLY WHEN TRANSITIONING FROM SECOND TO THIRD GEARS PRIOR TO THE REPAIR. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO JERK WHEN IN SECOND GEAR WHEN OR WHILE DRIVING 22 MPH OR HIGHER. THE VEHICLE WOULD ALSO EMIT A WHINING SOUND UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE. THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT, THE PCS WARNING LIGHT, AND THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE DIAGNOSED A SECOND TIME AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NO LONGER RECEIVE A REPAIR UNDER THE RECALL. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED BY TWO CERTIFIED MECHANICS WHO STATED THE TRANSMISSION FAILED, CAUSING MALFUNCTIONS WHEN IN SECOND GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS INADVERTENTLY DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
ON FRIDAY, MAY 29, 2015, THE AIRBAGS ON OUR 2003 HONDA ODYSSEY DEPLOYED WITHOUT ACCIDENT OR APPARENT CAUSE WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY FIFTEEN (15) MILES PER HOUR ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET. THE PHYSICAL IMPACT OF THE SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYMENT CAUSED BLEEDING, SEVERE SCRAPES AND CONTUSIONS TO MY WIFE'S (THE DRIVER'S) LEFT ARM. ALTHOUGH VERY TRAUMATIC AND PAINFUL, WE CONSIDER THIS A VERY FORTUNATE OUTCOME GIVEN THAT THIS INADVERTENT DEPLOYMENT COULD HAVE EASILY CAUSED MORE SEVERE INJURIES OR EVEN DEATH HAD IT OCCURRED: (1) AT A HIGHER RATE OF SPEED OR IN CROWDED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS OR (2) HAD THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED WITH EXCESSIVE INTERNAL PRESSURE CAUSING THEIR INFLATORS TO RUPTURE. THIS VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY UNDER TWO SEPARATE NHTSA RECALLS: (1)15V-045 (MFR CAMPAIGN ID JN6) (INADVERTENT DEPLOYMENT) (2)14V-351 (MFR CAMPAIGN ID JH0) (POTENTIAL RUPTURE) IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT WE HAD DONE EVERYTHING WITHIN OUR POWER TO AVOID BEING HARMED BY THE KNOWN DEFECTS IN THIS VEHICLE BY BRINGING IT TO OUR LOCAL HONDA DEALER ON 6/9/14 AND 11/18/14 FOR COMPLETION OF EARLIER RECALLS, 13-088 AND 14-040, RESPECTIVELY. FOLLOWING THE DEPLOYMENT, WE RECEIVED AN OFFER FROM AMERICAN HONDA TO REPAIR THE SRS SYSTEM AND TO PAY FOR A RENTAL CAR, BUT WE WERE DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY INSISTED THAT WE APPEAR AT THE DEALER TO SIGN A COMPLETE WAIVER BEFORE MAKING THESE REPAIRS, THAT THE OFFER TO REPLACE THE SRS ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT RECALLED UNDER 15V-045 WAS TO BE DONE WITH A DEVICE STILL SUBJECT TO RECALL AND WHICH HAS ALREADY PROVEN INADEQUATE TO PREVENT INJURY AND A COMPLETE DENIAL OF COMPENSATION FOR THE INJURIES SUFFERED BY MY WIFE AND OTHER DAMAGES. THERE SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN A REQUEST TO SIGN ANY WAIVER ASSOCIATED WITH COMPLETION OF THESE REPAIRS AND AHM SHOULD RIGHTFULLY HAVE TAKEN A STANCE THAT WOULD HAVE COMPENSATED US FOR ALL DAMAGES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS INCIDENT.
SRS LIGHT ON DASH WILL NOT GO OUT. OUR DEALER SAY THERE MAY BE A RECALL IN THE WORKS FOR THE SRS SYSTEM. ???
I WAS DRIVING SOUTH DOWN A RESIDENTIAL STREET WHICH THE SPEED LIMIT IS 30MPH. A WOMAN GOING NORTH BOUND TURNED LEFT IN FRONT OF ME. MY AIRBAG DEPLOYED AND MY HAND WAS SERIOUSLY BURNT FROM IT. I AM CURRENTLY UNDER MEDICAL CARE. *TR
TRANSMISSION FAILED AT 150K MILES. HONDA IS AWARE THAT THE TRANSMISSIONS OF THE OLDER ODYSSEYS ARE NOT LASTING LONG.
I WAS DRIVING AT 30MPH WITH MY 2 SMALL CHILDREN WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR LOST POWER AND WOULD NO LONGER EXCEED 20MPH. I PUT MY HAZARDS ON AND PULLED OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD I THEN TURNED MY CAR OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN WHICH HELPED FOR A FEW SHORT MINUTES BEFORE DOING THE SAME THING ALL OVER AGAIN. I CONTINUED TO DO THE SAME PROCESS OVER AND OVER AGAIN UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO GET HOME I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM THIS MORNING ONLY TO FIND OUT I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION I JUST BOUGHT THIS VAN 2 WEEKS AGO I AM THE SECOND OWNER

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE SHIFT INTER LOCK LEVER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT ASKED ABOUT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V573000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,256.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE AIR BAG WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY INDICATED THAT THE SIDE AIR BAGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 15V045000 (AIR BAGS), 14V700000 (AIR BAGS), 13V412000 (AIR BAGS), AND 12V573000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), BUT THE CONTACT NEVER RECEIVED ANY RECALL NOTICES. THE DEALER DID NOT INDICATE THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 40MPH WHEN THE TRANSMISSION STARTED MAKING REAL BAD GRINDING NOISE THEN STOPPED WORKING. *TR
I PARKED MY CAR AND TOOK THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT THE CAR WAS STILL IN DRIVE. I KNOW THIS WAS AN KNOWN ISSUE (RECALL) WITH THE CAR. I HAD IT FIXED AT A DEALER TO ADDRESS THE RECALL ON THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE. OBVIOUSLY IT DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. *TR

I WAS DRIVING MY VAN WITH MY TWO KIDS IN IT WHEN I NOTICED THAT THE VAN WAS JERKING FREQUENTLY AND THERE WAS NO PICK UP. THE RPM WENT TO 4 AND 5 THOUSAND BUT THE SPEED WAS NOT ABLE TO GO BEYOND 50 AND 60 MPH. THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED WHILE I WAS ON A FREEWAY. WHEN I TOOK THE VAN TO OUR USUAL MECHANIC SHOP, THEY FOUND THAT IT WAS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. GETTING A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS VERY EXPENSIVE AND I HAD TO SETTLE FOR A REBUILT TRANSMISSION. AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE, I FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH HONDA ODYSSEYS BUILT DURING THE YEAR MY VAN WAS BUILT. I WOULD LIKE FOR NHTSA TO ENSURE HONDA PAYS FOR OUR REPAIRS AND ENSURES THE COMPANY FIXES ALL REMAINING VANS ON THE ROAD WITH THIS ISSUE. *TR
WAS DRIVING MY WIFE AND 4 SMALL CHILDREN TO DECATUR,AL FROM HUNTSVILLE,AL TO THE RIVERWALK AND OUT OF NOWHERE STARTED FEELING A SMALL SHAKE AND THEN VERY NOTICEABLE FRIGHTENING FULL VEHICLE SHAKING WHICH STARTLED MY FAMILY AND FRIGHTENED MYSELF,I REALLY THOUGHT WE WERE ABOUT TO HAVE A WRECK. LET OFF THE ACCELERATOR AND IT STARTED TO NOT BE SO VIOLENT IN THE SHAKING,AND THEN ACCELERATED SLIGHTLY AGAIN AND THERE IT WAS AGAIN,AND I BELIEVE IT MAY BE THE TRANSMISSION. I AM NOT A MECHANIC BUT UPON DOING SOME RECENT RESEARCH I SEE THAT IT IS EITHER FAILED REAR OR MOTOR MOUNTS OR EVEN THE TRANNY WHAT EVER THAT MEANS. BUT IF IT IS A FAILED DEFECT THEN THEY SHOULD ADDRESS THIS BECAUSE THIS IS DISTURBING AND UNSAFE TO ME,AND MY FAMILY NEVER MADE IT TO THE RIVERWALK. WHY DO WE PAY SO MUCH FOR A VEHICLE AND THEN CAN NOT GET ANY HELP OTHER THAN FUNDS WE HARDLY HAVE? *TR
HONDA ISSUED A RECALL NOTICE, SERVICE BULLETIN:08-031 " WARRANTY EXTENSION: PAINT PEELING ON DARK BLUE 2003-2005 ODYSSEYS". I AM ATTACHING THE SERVICE BULLETIN FOR YOUR REF. MY 2003 HONDA ODYSSEY WAS AFFECTED AND ITS BLUE COLOR WAS PEELING OFF OF PLACES. ON FEB 24TH 2010, COLONIAL HONDA OF DARTMOUTH, MA REPAINTED THE AREAS OF CAR AS PER THE BULLETIN: WHICH WERE ROOF, HOOD, TOP HALF QUARTER PANELS, AND TOP HALF FENDERS. MY CONCERN WAS THAT HONDA CHOSE TO JUST PAINT THE FEW AREAS AND IF OTHER AREAS STARTS TO PEEL OFF AS WELL BUT I WAS TOLD BY COLONIAL DARTMOUTH DEALER THAT TO KEEP COST DOWN, HONDA IS ONLY WILLING TO RE-PAINT THE AFFECTED AREAS AND SHOULD ANY OTHER BE AFFECTED AT A LATER POINT, THOSE WILL BE DONE AT THAT POINT. WITH THAT SAID, I AGREED AND LET THE DEALER DO THE WORK. SOME TIME LATER I NOTICED THE PAINT IS PEELING FROM OTHER AREAS. IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME WAY IT IS PEELING, LIKE IT DID BEFORE AND MATCHES PICTURES SHOWN IN THE BULLETIN ATTACHED. SO, I WENT BACK TO COLONIAL HONDA AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO CALL HONDA I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT THEY HAD PROMISED TO TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEM AT A LATER POINT IF PEELING SHOULD OCCURS BUT NOW THEY ARE NOT HONORING THEIR WORD AND LOOKING THE OTHER WAY AND ALSO MADE DEROGATORY REMARKS ABOUT MY CAR, THAT " YOUR CAR IS 13 YEARS OLD" !!! SUBSEQUENTLY, I CALLED HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OPENED CASE# N012015-04-2100738. AFTER ABOUT 30 MIN OF KEEPING ME ON HOLD, HONDA CUSTOMER REP, MATTHEW TOLD ME THE SAME THING THE DEALER SAID, THAT IT IS OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD. IF HONDA WOULD HAVE DONE THE RECALL PROPERLY THE 1ST TIME, BY PAINTING THE CAR ON ALL AREAS I WOULD NOT BEEN HAVING THIS ISSUE. THIS IS A RECALL THAT WAS NOT DONE IN ITS ENTIRETY.

THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND TCS LITE WERE ON AND SHOWED TO A HONDA DEALER AND HE REPLACED A FAULTY ELECTRONIC COMPONENT. EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED AND SHOWED AGAIN AND NOW THEY SAY IT IS TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AND IT NEEDS REPLACEMENT, COSTS $4900. *TR
TRAVELING ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, TRANSMISSION FAILED. FLUID EXITED TRANSMISSION AND "SMOKE" APPEARED AT REAR OF VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED TRANSMISSION FAILURE AND ESTIMATED REPAIR COSTS AT $2500-3500. SINCE WE WERE 1000 MILES FROM HOME AND DID NOT WANT TO PUT THAT MUCH INTO REPAIRS, WE BOUGHT A NEW CAR FROM THE DEALERSHIP. LATER FOUND OUT THIS TRANSMISSION FREQUENTLY FAILS UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES DUE TO LACK OF FLUID CIRCULATION. FLUID IS "BLOWN" OUT OF TRANSMISSION AND TO REAR OF CAR. IT MAY BE DUE TO A DEFECT IN DESIGN. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CYLINDER SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 20 MPH AND I HAD TO USE THE BRAKES, MY CAR JERKED SUDDENLY TWICE WHILE I WAS GENTLY PUSHING THE BRAKES (AS IF I SLAMMED ON THEM TWICE). I ACCELERATED SLOWLY AND ONCE I GOT BACK INTO SECOND GEAR MY CAR WOULDN'T CATCH AND STARTED TO MAKE A WHIRRING NOISE. ONCE IT GOT PAST SECOND GEAR IT DRIVES SLOWER THAN USUAL FOR THE AMOUNT OF RPMS BEING USED. THIS IS A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM. IT'S ONLY ON THE SECOND GEAR THAT IT GLITCHES UP. I KNOW THIS CAR HAS A LOT OF MILES BUT IT HAS A NEWER MOTOR AND WE HAVE KEPT UP ON THE FLUIDS FOR THE VEHICLE. IT SHOULD NOT BE ACTING THIS WAY AND I EXPECT A RECALL ON THIS PROMPTLY. EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY VAN IT IS NOT LIKE IT USE TO BE. IT'S SLOWER AND AS STATED BEFORE THE RPMS IT USES SHOULD MAKES ITS SPEED FASTER BUT THE SPEED SLOWLY INCREASES WHILE THE RPMS INCREASE DRASTICALLY AND QUICKLY. HONDA HAS BEEN TRYING TO FIX THE 4 RECALL PROBLEMS ON FOUR DIFFERENT REPAIR ATTEMPTS SINCE MARCH OF 2015, ALL REGARDING THE AIR BAG RECALLS. I HAVE HAD 4 DIFFERENT LOANER CARS AND STILL HAVE A LOANER BECAUSE OF HONDA NOT HAVING THE PARTS TO REPAIR MINE. HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE AT CORONA AND RIVERSIDE ARE DEPLORABLE. I KNOW BETTER THAN WHAT HE TOLD ME AND ALSO DID MY RESEARCH INTO THIS. HONDA IS TRYING THEIR BEST TO GET OUT OF REPAIRING THESE RECALLS. PROBABLY BECAUSE THEY ARE LOSING MONEY DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PARTS AND CANNOT HANDLE A RECALL OF THIS MAGNITUDE. ON FEBRUARY 14, 2015, I BROUGHT MY HONDA ODYSSEY IN TO A DEALER FOR AN AIRBAG RECALL. TWO DAYS AFTER I GOT IT FIXED MY SRS LIGHT CAME ON WHEN IN DRIVE AND STAYED ON. I CALLED AND MADE A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT CONCERNING THE LIGHT. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE ODS UNIT HAD FAILED AND THAT IT WAS LISTED AS A RECALL AS WELL. I WAS INFORMED THAT I WOULD BE ALL SET. HOWEVER WHEN I WENT TO HAVE IT FIXED I WAS TOLD IT WOULD COST ME $146.48. I THEN BROUGHT THE PART AND HAD IT INSTALLED BY A HONDA DEALERSHIP WORKER. AFTER THE REPAIR THE LIGHT DID NOT OFF. ON APRIL 30, 2016 I BROUGHT MY CAR BACK FOR THE FINAL RECALL NOTICE AND TO FIND OUT WHY THE LIGHT HAD NOT GONE OFF. THIS TIME THEY SAID IT WAS THE SENSOR. THEY SAID IT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT OUT OF POCKET. MY PROBLEM IS THAT MY SRS LIGHT WAS NOT ON BEFORE THEY MESSED WITH THE AIRBAGS IN CONNECTION WITH THE RECALL. IF THEY MISDIAGNOSED MY CAR AND ON TOP OF THAT ALREADY MADE ME PAY $146.48 FOR A NEW OPDS UNIT (WHICH AT FIRST THEY SAID WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL) WHY SHOULD I BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROBLEM? THEY CAUSED THE PROBLEM WHEN THE FIXED THE 'RECALL'. I AM VERY UNHAPPY AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE. WITH THIS LIGHT BEING ON I FEEL AS THOUGH MY AIRBAG CAN DEPLOY AT ANY TIME, PUTTING MY LIFE IN JEOPARDY. I AM ALSO A TEACHER AND USE MY VAN TO TRANSPORT CHILDREN FROM TIME TO TIME. MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF THE CHILDREN ARE MY NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. I DROVE TO A NEARBY HONDA SERVICE CENTER FOR CHECKING AND THEY GAVE ME DOCUMENTS THAT SAID A TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT NEEDED THAT COST MORE THAN 6,000. I DROVE BACK IN MY PARKING LOT AND PARK THERE AND DID NOT DRIVE ON THE ROAD AGAIN. I TRIED IN THE PARKING LOT AND FOUND IT RUNS WHEN THE CAR IS COLD, BUT WHEN IT HEATED IT STOP, BUT AFTER SOMETIMES IT RUN AGAIN. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE AND DO NOT DRIVE THIS CAR ON THE ROAD. SOME OF MY FRIENDS ALSO BROUGHT THE SAME CAR AND THEY FACED THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER 100,000-180,000.
