Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)My wife was driving the car back home, and she heard what sounded like an explosion. The windshield spontaneously shattered raining glass down on her and several of my children. This caused her to be distracted and could have blinded my children with broken glass or caused an accident.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, A LOUD BOOMING NOISE SUDDENLY OCCURRED. AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE GLASS SUN ROOF HAD EXPLODED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER (MIKE WHATLEY HONDA IN BROOKHAVEN, MISSISSIPPI) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE BOTH NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 65 MPH THE CAR IN FRONT WAS GOING SLOW SO I DECIDED TO HIGH BEAM THEM SO THEY MOVE OVER TO THE RIGHT LANE BUT THEY DIDN'T SO I WENT AROUND THEM AND THEY SWERVE TO MY RIGHT LANE. SO I SLOW DOWN AND WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE TO PASS THEM THEY WERE RECORDING MY CAR/MYSELF. AFTER I PASSED THEM THEY CAME IN FRONT OF US AND THREW SOMETHING OUT THE WINDOW AND NOW I GOT A SCRATCH ON THE CAR. WHEN THEY THREW SOMETHING I DECIDED TO GO NEXT TO THWRE CAR HER PASSENGER WHICH LOOK LIKE IT WAS HER SON WAS THE ONE WHO THREW IT OUT THE WINDOW.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
