There have been several instances where the vehicle’s “Idle-Stop” feature failed to restart the vehicle resulting in a stall. This has happened in heavy traffic including once in the middle of a busy intersection while waiting to make a left turn. My vehicle has not been inspected by the dealer, but this is a known issue with an open investigation.
The air for the last 2 summers hasn’t worked right. Recently it wouldn’t work until being driven for hours then it would cool off. After it would cool down the car would start to get a very strong gas smell inside. After being checked 3 different times we were informed that there was a problem with the fuel line and the design of it. We would have to have it rerouted seasonally. This is very dangerous, they said there was no permanent fix and in the mean time we were left inhaling gas for weeks. Gas inhalation can kill you. This is a very serious problem that needs addressed ASAP. We traded the car in and the dealer has it listed as certified pre owned knowing there are chronic issues with this vehicle.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
