Tried charging my car and says high voltage service , then service vehicle soon light als the tire monitoring system is not working and reverse autobreak is too sensitive
SEVERAL LIGHTS BEGAN FLASHING, AND THE ACCELERATION stopped at 25 mph: 1. Service High voltage 2. Service Vehicle Soon 3. Reduced Acceleration - Drive With Care I brought the car in the next day. The service center at Honda Mahwah diagnosed the problem immediately. They said it is a valve for the AC system that cools the battery. They know this valve is bad on many Honda Prolouges and needs to be replaced. They said there is a "Service Bulletin" out for this problem. Then they said they do not have this valve and have no idea when it will be available. They did not want my car to sit on their lot, nor did they offer a loaner. I have not driven the car since, and it sits in my driveway, not the garage. I'm afraid of the high voltage problem, and I do not want the battery to explode in my garage. I think the NHTSA should issue a recall so this can be fixed. Pictures attached.
I leased this vehicle approximately three weeks ago, yesterday as I was adjusting the dashboard lighting, the service high voltage battery warning came on. Now the vehicle wont take a charge, the vehicle has changed the charge setting to 40%, and I cannot increase it. I 've reserved an appointment for 4/11/2025 for the vehicle to be serviced, and was told that I wont be given a loaner vehicle. This entire scenario is very inconvenient to say the least. This my first Honda and probably my last. I feel that my safety is at risk in this case, as I cant drive it now, since I cant recharge the battery, so the vehicle is totally unreliable at this time. There were no warning signs of this issue, and I'm grateful that the vehicle didnt die in the middle of rush hour traffic, or leave me stranded somewhere.
Errors. Service high voltage system. Reduced acceleration drive with care. Have the vehicle serviced.
Simply put the charging system will not stop at preset percentage and will charge to 100 percent most of the time. I would say it fails to stop and continues to 100 percent about 70 percent to the time. From what I understand charging to 100% on a daily basis can damage the battery and potentially cause a safety issue under certain circumstances, such as storage and temperature. I now have to sit in the vehicle or set a timer to check the vehicle to make sure that it stops at the designated charge limit. I have taken it in for service at Jack of diamonds Honda in Tyler, Texas, but they were unable to find or fix the situation.
Car was charging on a typical 48A J1722 home charger. Car stopped charging early and displayed "Service High Voltage System" and "Reduced Acceleration. Drive with Care" Scanner shows codes P1E00 and U362C
2024 Honda Prologue has been having service high voltage system, reduced acceleration, no heat or AC in while in the rain and with toddlers in the car. Car has had this issue twice before and just got the car back from the service on April 2, Had issue in December, Feb 2025 for 11 days. The vehicle was just returned 3 days ago for the same issue. Service keeps stating they don't know what the problem and vehicle is needs to be towed due to inability to charge or drive on Major roadway due to limited speed.
Both of my infotainment screens went off completely while driving and this is very frustrating and unsafe I can’t see my speedometer or navigation or anything else and this puts my safety in danger urgent urgent please investigate this matter asap Thanks
Adaptive Cruise Control works when you set the preferred speed but won't slow down when a vehicle is in front. Tried changing gap adjustments but still not slowing down when there's a vehicle in front. It was completely working while I was driving it in the morning then in the afternoon I almost hit the vehicle in front of me due to my vehicle not slowing down.
I leased a 2024 Prologue Touring in March and have about 600 miles on it so far. I just started noticing a knocking sound when turning my car left and accelerating. This sound and position appear to be the same issue others have reported about the CV joint. This issue seems to be affecting MANY of other prologue owners from what I see on social media pages specific for the Honda prologue. I hope this gets investigated and a resolution is provided for all of us experiencing this issue. I am afraid it could potentially cause accidents if not handled quickly.
I was driving on the interstate and the infotainment and drivers dashboard display cut off. I attempted to turn the car off and back on and nothing happened.
Front axels of vehicle make clicking noises when turning left or right that are getting progressively worse as time goes on. The noise is getting louder and it's concerning.
Since purchasing the vehicle august 2024, I have experienced a noticeable noise emanating from the front axles whenever I turn the steering wheel in either direction. This noise is concerning and suggests a potential mechanical problem. I have taken my vehicle to Ocean Honda ventura on two separate occasions for diagnosis and repair of this issue. On both instances, the front axles were replaced. However, the noise persists even after these replacements. During my most recent visit on 04/03/2025, I was informed by Honda representatives that they have exhausted all current solutions and that there is nothing further they can do to resolve the noise issue at this time. I am deeply concerned about this ongoing problem. The persistent noise when turning indicates a potential defect that could compromise the safety and reliability of my vehicle. Despite two attempts at repair involving the replacement of the front axles, the issue remains, and Honda has indicated an inability to provide a further remedy. I request that the NHTSA investigate this matter. I believe this may be a more widespread issue affecting other 2024 Honda Prologue vehicles and poses a potential safety risk to drivers.
My 2024 Honda Prologue produces a rhythmic clicking and rattling noise from the front axle area whenever I make low‑speed left or right turns. The sound is tied to wheel rotation and is most noticeable during sharper turns such as entering or exiting a parking space. The noise is reproducible on every drive and began early in the vehicle’s life. It appears consistent with the widely reported front CV joint/axle defect affecting other Prologue owners, many of whom describe the same clicking or ratcheting noise during turns. Honda has issued internal guidance acknowledging this symptom and advising dealers that the issue is under investigation. Because this involves the front drive axle/CV joint assembly, there is concern about premature wear or potential failure of a critical steering and drivetrain component, which could pose a safety risk if the condition worsens. When I turn left or right from a complete stop it makes a clicking noise. I believe it is the CV joints. When backing the car randomly puts on the break with nothing around the rear of the vehicle.
Service High Voltage System warning.
The back up camera has malfunctioned and is taking moisture into the lens, making it impossible to see out of. Due to this I cannot properly see blind spots behind my vehicle when backing up, putting those behind me at risk. The dealer confirmed this issue 4/10/2025. The dealer inspected the camera to confirm the issue. There were no warnings messages, or other symptoms prior to the camera failure. This issue first became known around 4/1/2025.
Feont axle makes clicking noise when turned left. Honda tried to replace axle but sound did not go away. Honda said they dont know and its under investigation
The contact owns a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and making a turn, the vehicle made abnormal clanking and grinding sounds. The message "Drive with Caution - Acceleration Decreased" was displayed. Additionally, the heater was inoperable, and the battery failed to charge above 25 percent. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who replaced the front axles four times and serviced the battery; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
When turning left (only) and accelerating, there is a distinct "clicking" noise and shudder coming from the front left undercarriage. It can be felt through the steering wheel. I believe it is coming from the CV joint and could lead to failure of that link and loss of steering control.
We received a High Voltage System warning, making the vehicle undrivable. Honda states it is an AC check valve issue. The vehicle only has 477 miles on it.
After updating my Prologue and driving it for a few miles, I'm now seeing a message that says: "Service High Voltage System / Service vehicle soon." The car will not accept a charge at all and the heat/defroster will not work. It will only blow cold air (which may just be outside air circulating meaning full hvac isn’t working).
Start vehicle and warning lights flash. "service high voltage system" Drove to service center. Heat did not work on the cold morning. Defrost would not work. Service center informed me the main 440 volt battery needs replacing. wait times, one to two months for new battery.
“While driving with my family, my car’s displays suddenly went black, which was a serious safety concern. I had to pull over for about an hour until they came back on, as I couldn’t see anything.”
I was driving and a warning popped up on my dashboard screen telling me that the "high voltage electrical system needed to be serviced" and another one followed that said "acceleration reduced drive with caution." At the same time my heat stopped working and only cold air would blow from the vents (it was a cold day so I did not test to see if the A/C was also broken). I discovered a day or so later, when I went to charge my car (it is an EV) that it would not allow me to charge above 26% capacity.
Passenger side mirror will not move. Blind spot warning on passenger side/ mirror inoperative.
Went to start vehicle and warning light was present on main screen signaling HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM ERROR. I called the local Honda service team who had me check to see if the car would charge. The tech said n the phone was concerned that the battery could be “bricked” meaning in non-operational status. The car did indeed charge and drove it immediately down to service adviser per his recommendation. Honda service team determined that an AC line was dripping on electrical components. The Honda service team was able to fix stated issue.
After updating my Prologue and driving it for a few miles, I'm now seeing a message that says: "Service High Voltage System / Service vehicle soon." My Prologue only has 1,096 miles on it.
High voltage system errors. Won’t charge. Car is 2 weeks old!
Charging Port. car will not charge no more under 6000 miles under 10 months of ownership. I have a 3 year at least. I haven't even had it a year yet. No vehicle now waiting to hear back from Honda. They gave me a loner the dealership. Did I think this is an unsafe feature of this vehicle? And I think I should receive. A new vehicle. This vehicle needs a recall, so no one gets hurt. Or stranded on the side of the road. Because the car won't charge no more. Please help me with this matter sincerely. [XXX] of Portland Maine. Clicking cv joints when turning
CUSTOMER STATES CLICKING NOISE IS HEARD WHEN MAKING LEFT TURNS, PER CUSTOMER - THE NOISE IS COMING FROM THE LEFT FRONT AREA. INSPECT AND ADVISE. NOISE FROM THE LEFT FRONT AREA. * REPLACE THE LEFT FRONT AXLE **PART IS CURRENTLY ON A NATIONAL BACKORDER. POSSIBLE RELEASE IN MAY**
I’ve started to hear a clicking sound when taking left turns on my Honda prologue after about 600 miles. When researching online I found that the prologues ship with a bad cv axles and the sound won’t go away unless the axle is replaced. Reporting here so that I can get feedback on the severity of the issue and bring awareness.
As I was coming to a stop light, the radio stopped working. A message came up..."Tuner unavailable. This may fix itself. If not, restart your vehicle. Vechicle may need service." Soon after this, my blinker stopped working. I was able to proceed with the left hand turn but then dashboards (left and radio one) all went blank. I was able to drive to get to a safe spot. In doing so, the dashboard did come back on and I was able to drive onward. THIS WAS A VERY NERVE WRACKING EXPERIENCE NOT HAVING SIGNALS!
After having my car plugged in over night, I unplugged my vehicle and put the cap on the charger. Since I was going to be gone for 4 days, I decided to unplug my charger from the wall. Since I had turned my back to the charging port, I didn’t notice the charge door was still open. I got in the car and I proceeded to back out of the garage with the door ajar. There is a warning light on the dash but while in reverse in a garage, a number of parking sensors are always beeping so I was desensitized to beeps. The charge door caught the side of the garage door and bent too far backwards and broke. I really wish the vehicle either made you acknowledge the warning before it would move or the warning showed up on the camera screen as well, where your eyes are drawn while reversing versus the screen in front of you.
When turning from a stop there is a loud clicking noise that occurs. This consistently happens with either right or left turns from a stop.
DRIVETRAIN cv axel yes available for inspection could fracture causing instant accident No, but very commonly reported to Honda No No lights clicking noise when turning wheel
When starting vehicle, lights for Propulsion Power is Limited lights and service vehicle soon lights came on. I tried to shift into reverse, but got a warning message that the conditions for shifting error, I also could not shift to drive. I only have had the car for 2 weeks. I called the honda warranty, they arranged to have it towed to dealership. 2 different service people tried troubleshooting the problem on site with no success. It was towed and dropped off after hours at a Honda service center. The tech called the next day stating that the problem could not be recreated and all diagnostic tests came out good. Waiting and wondering when this car is going to leave me stranded again.
Started hearing clicking coming from the front when we turn. I was told this is a common problem from the CV joint.
The tire monitor system is not working at all, I have tried resetting it for hundreds of times. It will recaliber and show me the tire pressure on all wheels just for 5 min. And once I start driving it gives me warning again( tire monitor system service).
My 2024 Prologue with approximately 3,000 miles has a clunking sound in front of car and noticeable jerk on acceleration. It developed with 1300 miles and was "repaired" by dealer, who claimed it was a loose battery mount. Problem returned within 1000 miles and is getting worse. Dealer now says it is right front axle and part is on backorder. Fundamental safety part crucial to control for car. If the axle is a problem it is a fundamental and incredibly important part that has been in development since approximately 100,000 BC. There should not be an axle problem with a brand new car.
High voltage system errors. Won’t charge. Car is 2 weeks old!
Visibility when backing up during low light conditions is dangerous. Back up camera is very dim and can result in accidents.
I’ve had a couple of issues with this vehicle along with others I know with the same car. 1. When charging it has said a couple of times “not sending power” when public charger seems to be in good condition & there being funds on the card. 2. When closing the panoramic sunroof right when it’s about to close it opens back up. It takes me multiple tries pressing and holding down the button to get it to close. 3. Both screen displays have gone completely black out of nowhere and will not turn back on until a couple of hours later. 4. Sometimes in perfect Sunny condition with nothing blocking the windshield the Forward collision Safety feature will appear on the dashboard saying “forward collision system unavailable.” 5. The battery seems to not last long and even going at speed limit or slower the battery will still drain fast.
Excessive wind noise and I can feel a breeze coming from the driver side door. Has been like that since new. Not at all what I expected from a supposed $60k car.
The Honda link app is unusable. It constantly says unavailable when trying to remotely start or lock the vehicle.
Component/System Failure: The high-voltage battery system in my 2024 Honda Prologue failed. According to the Honda service center, the battery needs to be replaced. The vehicle is currently at the dealership, not ETA when the part will arrive or when will I get my car back. Safety Risks: The failure prevented the vehicle from charging, which could have left me stranded. Additionally, the system displayed multiple warnings, and since this is an EV, a malfunctioning high-voltage battery poses a potential fire or electrical hazard. The car was not drivable due to the severity of the issue. Problem Confirmation: The issue has been confirmed by the Honda dealership, which diagnosed the high-voltage battery as the cause of failure. They recommended a full battery replacement. Inspection by Others: The vehicle has only been inspected by Honda service technicians at my local dealership. It has not been reviewed by the manufacturer directly, law enforcement, or an insurance representative. Warnings and Symptoms: The failure first occurred two days ago when I attempted to charge the vehicle at home, but it would not charge. Multiple warning messages appeared on the dashboard, including: "Service High Voltage System" "Service Engine Soon" A red car icon with an exclamation mark I attempted multiple times to charge, but the vehicle continued displaying the same warnings. The next day, I brought it to the Honda dealership, where they confirmed the high-voltage battery issue.
Brake system failure message and car was exremely hard to stop. I had to stand on the brake pedal to get the car to stop
My 2024 Honda Prologue that has only 2486 miles. I took it into the dealership only to be told that they are making new parts for the known problem! It is a safety issues that the CV joints could fail completely while driving, that could cause a fatal accident. I can't believe I was reassured by the dealership it is safe to drive. I do NOT want to be a statistic from a lethal car accident. Not to mention what other problems will it have if I continue to drive the vehicle. It may not show up today but it could cause problems long after the warranty is up.
“Charge Door Open” warning appears on dashboard when the charge door is completely closed. This warning appears incessantly while driving. Additionally, “Service High Voltage Charging System” appears along with the “Charge Door Open” warning. The problem is documented on video at 780 miles on the odometer. These warnings occurred at low speed driving between 30 and 35 mph.
