OVER THE COURSE OF 2 WEEKS WE WOULD TURN THE DIAL FOR THE HEAT AND IT WOULD KICK IN AND BLOW WARM AIR AND THEN IT WOULD STOP. WE TOOK IT TO INVER GROVE HONDA TO GET IT FIXED AND THEY REPLACED THE BLOWER. IT ACTUALLY WORKED FOR ABOUT A WEEK, THEN STOPPED AGAIN ...COMPLETELY... ON A DAY THAT IT WAS -20 DEGREES WITH WIND CHILL. THEY NOW HAVE TOLD US THAT THE WIRING FOR THAT UNIT IS MELTED AND THE ENTIRE WIRE HARNESS NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS RUNNING US AROUND $1800. THE MECHANIC TOLD MY HUSBAND THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME HE'S SEEN THIS. WE THEN RESEARCHED FURTHER TO FIND THE PROBLEM ALL OVER THE INTERNET. AFTER ALL, HOW DOES A WIRE MELT? IT MUST GET HOT... THEREFORE THIS IS A CONCERN TO ME WITH CHILDREN IN MY VEHICLE A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF THE TIME. THEY SAID THEY CAN NOT GUARANTEE THIS WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN AND DUE TO THE MILEAGE THEY CAN'T FINANCIALLY HELP FUND THE REPAIR. THEY HAVE NO EXPLANATION AS TO HOW THIS HAPPENED. THE BLOWER MOTOR IN MY 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE QUIT FUNCTIONING. A LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP FOUND THAT A DASH WIRE HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE WAS A BURNT OUT PIN CONNECTOR...? I AM LUCKY THAT MY TRUCK DIDN'T START ON FIRE! THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS 2008 MODEL SO I HAD TO PAY FOR THIS FAULTY WIRE HARNESS CONNECTION OUT OF MY POCKET. *TR
I DRIVE MY 2008 RIDGELINE ON A DAILY BASIS. IN THE MORNING OF THE 18TH OF DECEMBER MY HEAT AND AIR WORKED FINE. LATER IN THE EVENING I WENT TO GO OUT AND MY FAN/HEAT/AIR WOULD NOT WORK. I CHANGED A FEW FUSES BUT STILL GOT NOTHING. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO MY DEALER WHERE I GET ALL OF MY REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE DONE. THEY STATED IT WAS MORE THAN LIKELY A RELAY SINCE THE MOTOR WAS WORKING PROPERLY. I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY THAT THE PROBLEM IS A WIRING HARNESS THAT MELTED AND THEN SHE TELLS ME ITS A 9 HOUR JOB TO REPLACE AND COSTS OVER 600.00 DOLLARS. WELL IT LOOKS LIKE THE 2006,AND 2007 RIDGELINES HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND I THINK HONDA NEEDS TO BE PERSUADED TO INCLUDE THE 2008 MODELS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. I HAVE READ ONLINE THAT THIS IS NOT AN UNCOMMON PROBLEM AND HAS HAPPENED TO SEVERAL OTHER 2008'S AROUND THE U.S. THANKS. *TR
FAN BLOWER MOTOR STOPPED WORKING. A/C COMPRESSOR WILL TURN ON (HEAT, AS WELL), HOWEVER NO AIR WILL BLOW. THIS IS INTERMITTENT AND DOES NOT ALWAYS OCCUR. THE FAN WILL EVENTUALLY TURN ON AND START BLOWING AIR. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING BLOWER FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRING HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN MENTIONED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS HAD BURNED AND MELTED, WHICH CAUSED THE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING BLOWER TO FAIL. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
FITTING FAILURE OF TRANSMISSION LINE CONNECTION AT RADIATOR, CAUSING DAMAGE TO COOLING SYSTEM AND TRANSMISSION. VEHICLE IS RENDERED INOPERABLE. SUSPECTED CAUSE IS POORLY DESIGNED RADIATOR FITTING. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER NOTICED SPARKS AT THE VEHICLE FRONT END. THE VEHICLE WAS MOVED TO ANOTHER PARKING SPOT AND WITHIN SECONDS, THE VEHICLE'S HOOD WAS ON FIRE. THE FIRE SPREAD TO THE WINDSHIELD AND THE DASH BOARD AREA. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS PRESENT. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 10V001000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING BLOWER FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. SMELLED BURNING WIRES ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS BUT ASSUMED WAS SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT. ON THE REFERENCED DATE THE BLOWER MOTOR QUIT WORKING. UPON FURTHER DIAGNOSTICS THE WIRING HARNESS FROM THE BLOWER MOTOR WAS FOUND TO BE MELTED AT THE POWER WIRE CONNECTION LOCATED UNDER THE CENTER CONSOLE. STILL TRYING TO GET AN ANSWER FROM HONDA SINCE THE '06 '07 RIDGELINES HAVE A SIMILAR SAFETY RECALL AND AN ONLINE SEARCH SHOWS MANY ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE EVEN INTO THE "08'S BUT WITHOUT A RECALL. A BURNING/MELTING WIRE HARNESS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULDN'T BE IGNORED. *TR
MY 6 YEAR OLD GRABS THE REAR ENTRY HANDLE ON THE INSIDE OF THE TRUCK BEHIND THE DRIVER SEAT TO HELP HER GET IN AND OUT OF THE VEHICLE. TODAY WHEN SHE GRABBED IT GETTING IN THE TOP PART OF THE HANDLE RIPPED RIGHT OFF THE INTERIOR WALL CAUSING HER TO FALL BACKWARDS. THANKFULLY SHE WAS NOT INJURED BUT SHE VERY EASILY COULD HAVE CRACKED HER HEAD OPEN ON THE PAVEMENT. THE SCREWS THAT HOLDS THE REAR ENTRY HANDLE TO THE TRUCK ARE VERY TINY. I CANT TELL IF IT JUST CAME LOOSE AND BACKED ITSELF OUT, OR IF IT STRIPPED. IF ONE OF THESE HANDLES BREAKS LOOSE FROM A 45 LB CHILD, I COULD ONLY IMAGINE THE HANDLE WOULD BE MORE PRONE TO BREAKING IF AN ADULT USED IT. THE HANDLE BREAKING OFF COULD VERY EASILY CAUSE A SERIOUS INJURY BY SOMEONE FALLING AS THEY ENTER/EXIT THE VEHICLE. I WILL BE TAKING MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER NEXT WEEK TO GET THIS FIXED HOPEFULLY. *TR
HEATER BLOWER FAN STOPPED WORKING. TOOK TO DEALER 11/29/12. DEALER INSPECTED, FOUND MELTED WIRING HARNESS BENEATH DASH. COST TO REPAIR APPROXIMATELY $900.00. THIS IS A FIRE HAZARD AND HAS AFFECTED 07 AND EARLIER MODEL RIDGELINES PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V001000. RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE 2008 MODELS. *TR
HONDA RIDGELINE WAS PARKED. STARTED TRUCK, AC WAS ON, SET AT 66 BUT NO COLD AIR WAS BLOWING. MOVED THE MANUAL BLOWER BUTTON TO HIGH, STILL NO COLD AIR BLOWING. SHUT AC OFF AND SWITCHED TO HEATER NO AIR WAS BLOWING. *TR TOOK TRUCK TO HONDA DEALER IN NEW HAMPSHIRE FOR OIL CHANGE/TIRE ROTATION AND HAD THEM LOOK AT AC/HEATER PROBLEM. THEY SAID THAT BLOWER MOTOR MAY HAVE A BAD RESISTOR, IF THEY REPLACE RESISTOR AND BLOWER STILL NOT WORKING THEY WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE BLOWER MOTOR. DEALER LOOKED AT RECALL HISTORY FOR THIS PROBLEM FOR HONDA RIDGLINE, SAID THERE WAS RECALL FOR AC/HEATER ISSUES BUT NOT FOR MY YEAR (2008). I GOOGLED HONDA RIDGELINE 2008 AC PROBLEMS AND FOUND OTHER TRUCK OWNERS REPORTING THE SAME PROBLEM.
HVAC FAN MOTOR STOPPED RUNNING AT APPROXIMATELY 72,000 MILES ON 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE RTL; NO FIRE, SMOKE OR SMELL. TOOK TO DEALER TO TROUBLESHOOT, AND ADVISED WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR HAD MELTED (ASKED FOR PART BACK, AND OBSERVED LARGE GREY CONNECTOR WAS MELTED/BURNED AT THE LARGEST BLUE-ON-WHITE WIRE). REPAIR COST $190.26, BUT AM CONCERNED THAT HVAC FAN, AND POSSIBLY OTHER HVAC COMPENTS, MAY ALSO BE DAMAGED AND MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED--WORKING FINE NOW. HAVE SEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND THAT THIS IS FAIRLY COMMON ISSUE WITH RIDGELINE'S, WAS SUBJECT TO SAFETY RECALL FOR 2006 THRU 2007 MODELS OF SPECIFIC MANUFACTURE DATES, BUT SEEMS TO STILL CONTINUE TO OCCUR THOUGH THE 2008 MODELS AS WELL--APPEARS TO BE FACTORY DEFECT, AND FEEL AMERICAN HONDA SHOULD REIMBURSE ALL WITH THIS ISSUE. DEFINTELY COULD BE SERIOUS FIRE AND SAFETY HAZARD. *TT

SIDE ENGINE MOUNTS WAS FOUND DAMAGED . THIS TRUCK IT ONLY 3 YEAR OLD. SHOULD DEALER REPLACE IT? *TR
MOTOR MOUNTS SHOWED FAILURE WITH LESS THAN 30K. HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM BUT INTERNET SEARCH SHOWS MULTIPLE CONCERNS FROM OTHER HONDA RIDGELINE OWNERS WITH SAME FAILURE WITH LOW MILEAGE ON VEHICLES WITHIN A 5 YEAR OR LESS MODEL. *TT
PREMATURE WEARING OUT OF BRAKE PADS AND ROTOR ON RIGHT SIDE REAR AXLE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE EXHIBITED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT A FAILURE WAS NOT LOCATED. WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM THE DEALER, THE CARRIAGE RACK ON THE ROOF OF THE VEHICLE FRACTURED AND STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THE FAILURE TO BE A SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE FAILURE COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 71,000. UPDATED 07/18/11 *BF UPDATED 2/29/12 *CN

TL*THE CONTACT OWNED A 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND SHUT OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES WHEN THE CONTACT NOTICED A FIRE STARTED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED BUT THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED DUE TO FIRE DAMAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INSURANCE LOT WHERE THEY WERE IN THE PROCESS OF DIAGNOSING THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 50,500. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
CANADA - HONDA RIDGELINE SOFT BREAK PEDDLE WITH LITTLE EFFORT. *LN
2008 RIDGELINE...I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER ON 2 OCCASIONS REPORTING THE I CAN PUSH THE BRAKE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. AFTER STOPPING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND WITH LIGHT PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL I AM ABLE TO PUSH THE PEDAL RIGHT TO THE FLOOR BOARDS. DEALER HAS BLEED THE BRAKES THE FIRST TIME AND DID NOTHING THE SECOND, STATING THAT THE BRAKES ON ALL 2008 RIDGELINES WERE THE SAME. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE. WHILE DRIVING UP A STEEP INCLINE APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO LOW GEAR AND ENGAGED THE VEHICLE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS APPLIED, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT RESPOND. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE AFTER WAITING FOR FIVE TO TEN MINUTES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE BE TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000. THE BLOWER FAN ON MY 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE RECENTLY QUIT WORKING. THE DEALERSHIP FOUND THAT THE WIRING HARNESS HAD MELTED CAUSING THE FAN TO STOP WORKING. THE WIRING HARNESS WAS REPLACED. I DID NOT RECEIVE THE OLD HARNESS. *TR

THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AT THE HEATING AND AIR-CONDITIONING ELECTRICAL WIRING HARNESS. THE DEALER REPLACED THE WIRING HARNESS AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO LOCATE NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V001000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENTAL PANEL) BUT WAS ADVISED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
2008 HONDA RIDGELINE FAN BLOWER MOTOR FAILED CAUSING WIRING HARNESS AND RESISTOR TO FAIL. WIRING HARNESS MELTED BUT FUSE DID NOT BLOW. THIS IS A DEFINITE FIRE AND SMOKE HAZARD. THERE ARE MANY OTHER INSTANCES OF THIS SAME EXACT PROBLEM IN 2006 - 2008 MY VEHICLES. *TR
WENT TO GET INTO TRUCK, IT WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE OVER NIGHT. OPENDED THE BACK DOOR AND FOUND GLASS SITTING ON THE BACK SEAT MOSTLY, VERY SMALL PARTS IN THE BED. THE REAR SLIDING BACK GLASS EXPLODED INTO THE CABIN AND WAS IN THE CLOSED POSITION WHEN IT HAPPENED. DON'T KNOW WHAT TIME IT HAPPEN FOUND IT THE NEXT MORNING AFTER THE TRUCK WAS SITTING OVERNIGHT. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THEY SAID THEY NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE AND WOULD HAVE TO CALL HONDA TECH SUPPORT BEFORE A DECISION CAN BE MADE. *TR
2008 HONDA RIDGELINE - POWER STEERING FAILURE.. CREAKS AND GROANS IN POWER STEERING, TOUGH TO TURN AT LOW SPEEDS. DEALER - PLANET HONDA IN GOLDEN, COLORADO DIAGNOSED FAILURE OF THE POWER STEERING PUMP AND NOTED THAT THEY HAD SEEN MANY SUCH FAILURES. *TR
WHILE SITTING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WITH MY REAR SLIDE WINDOW PARTIALLY OPEN ON MY 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE THE WINDOW SUDDENLY IMPLODED INTO THE REAR AREA OF THE TRUCK. GLASS SPRAYED ALL OVER THE BACK SEAT DOWN BETWEEN THE GAPS IN THE BACK WALL AND A AMALL AMOUNT INTO THE BED. IN ORDER TO ENSURE THIS WAS NOT CAUSED BY SOMETHING OUTSIDE THE TRUCK I CALLED THE LOCAL POLICE WHO CHECKED THE TRUCK LOOKING FOR ROCKS, BULLETS, BBS, ETC. THEY DETERMINED THERE WAS NO EXTERNAL CAUSE. *TR
POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD: A/C STOPPED WORKING ON 22ND OF AUGUST. DEALER SHIP SAID THAT THE WIRING HARNESS MELTED AND BLOWER FAN SEIZED. THE FUSE DID NOT BLOW. THEY SAID THEY ARE ALSO GOING TO REPLACE THE TRANSISTOR ON THE CIRCUIT. THE CAR IS A 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE RTX WITH 15000 MILES ON IT. THE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 86 F. *TR
ON AUGUST 22,2009 WHILE TRAVELING NORTHBOUND ON THE HUTCHINSON RIVER PARKWAY IN THE BRONX, WITH MODERATE CONGESTION, I APPLIED NORMAL PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL OF MY 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE TO HEAR A POP AND SNAP AND LOSS OF ALL BRAKE PRESSURE. THE EVENT LEFT ME WITH NO BRAKES, TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 35MPH IN THE LEFT LANE OF THE PARKWAY. TRYING TO AVOID A COLLISION I STRUCK THE MEDIAN GUARDRAIL AND ANOTHER VEHICLE TRAVELING IN THE LEFT LANE IN FRONT OF ME. THE ACCIDENT LEFT MY VEHICLE UN-DRIVABLE AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP NEARBY. THIS WAS THE FIRST SUCH PROBLEM AND IT WAS/IS A MAJOR ONE THAT HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED BY EITHER THE DEALERSHIP OR CORPORATION. FOUR MONTHS AFTER THE ACCIDENT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND RETURNED TO ME WITH NO ADMISSION BY ANY HONDA REPRESENTATIVE OF FAULT DUE TO MANUFACTURERS DEFECT IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM WHICH WAS DISCOVERED AND CONFIRMED BY AN INDEPENDENT ENGINEERING FIRM. IT IS MY FEAR THAT THIS MALFUNCTION WILL HAPPEN AGAIN AND CAUSE A MORE SERIOUS ACCIDENT IN THE FUTURE. THIS MALFUNCTION SHOULD NOT BE HANDLED LIGHTLY AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A LIFE THREATENING ISSUE THAT MUST BE ADDRESSED AND CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY. *TR
2006-2009 HONDA RIDGELINES COME WITH AN EMERGENCY TIRE JACK THAT IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO ALL WHO USE IT. THE JACK IS TOO SMALL IN SIZE AND BARELY LIFTS THE RIDGELINE ON A FLAT CONCRETE SURFACE. IF THIS JACK WAS USED IN AN EMERGENCY ON THE SIDE OF A ROAD OR ANY OTHER SOFT SURFACE AREA IT WOULD NOT WORK AND THE VEHICLE WOULD MOST LIKELY FALL. THE JACK BENDS AT ITS MAX HEIGHT REQUIRED TO LIFT THE RIDGELINE UP ENOUGH TO CHANGE A TIRE AT THE JACK POINTS CALLED OUT BY THE OWNERS MANUAL. AMERICAN HONDA HAS BEEN NOTIFIED BY SEVERAL MEMBERS OF THE RIDGELINE OWNERS CLUB BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE AND MEMBERS HAVE PURCHASED NEW SAFER JACKS ON THEIR OWN TO AVOID THE SAFETY HAZARD OF USING THE FACTORY JACK. THIS AFFECTS ALL RIDGELINE MODEL YEARS. THE AIR CONDITIONER ON MY NEW 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE STOPPED WORKING. TRUCK HAD 4,000 MILES AT THE TIME. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT A WIRE INSIDE THE DASH BOARD HAD MELTED AND THAT A WIRE HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. REPAIRS WERE MADE UNDER WARRANTY AND PROBLEM IS RESOLVED BUT I WAS LUCKY NOT TO HAVE A FIRE. *TR
2008 HONDA ENGINE SURGE WHEN RUNNING NORMAL SPEED. *NJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROBLEM HAPPENED WHEN HE WAS SLOWING DOWN TO COME TO A STOP. THE SURGE WOULD LAST ABOUT 1 TO 2 SECONDS AND THE RPM'S WOULD RETURN TO NORMAL. IT WOULD ALSO HAPPEN WHEN THE ENGINE WAS OPERATING AT REGULAR TEMPERATURE OR WHEN IT WAS COLD AND WHEN THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ON OR OFF. *JB
THE HEATER / AC STOPPED WORKING ON MY 08 RTS HONDA RIDGELINE. THERE WERE NO EVENTS THAT LEAD UP TO THE FAILURE. THE DEALERS SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATED THAT HEATER WIRE HARNESS OVERHEATED AND BURNED UP FOR AN UNKNOWN REASON. THEY ARE HAVING TO ORDER THE REPLACEMENT PARTS, BUT I AM CONCERNED WHETHER THIS IS A FIRE HAZARD. *TR
IN A SNOW STORM AS THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WERE WORKING SNOW STARTED TO BUILD UP IN THE SPACE BETWEEN THE HOOD AND THE WINDSHIELD AS THE WIPERS PUSHED IT DOWN. THE SPACE FILLED WITH PACKED SNOW FROM THE WIPERS PACKING IT DOWN. AT THE POINT WHEN THE SPACE WAS FULL THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING AND WOULD NOT START AGAIN UNTIL THE SNOW WAS CLEANED OUT BY HAND. ONCE CLEARED THE SNOW STARTED TO BUILD UP AGAIN FOLLOWED BY THE WIPERS STOPPING AGAIN, AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. THIS WAS THE FIRST SNOW STORM IN THIS TRUCK. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA RIDGELINE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOWER TAILGATE WOULD NOT OPEN PROPERLY. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE CABLES CONNECTING TO THE TAILGATE BECAME LOOSE, WHICH CAUSED THE COMPONENT TO FAIL. THE DEALER TIGHTENED THE CABLES, BUT THE FAILURE IMMEDIATELY RECURRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 7,000.
