MOTOR BLOWN WHEN VEHICLE HAD 130000 MILES AFTER REGULAR OIL CHANGES.
I HAD A ACCIDENT TRIED TO BRAKE QUICK MY BRAKES SKIPPED AND I ENDED UP HITTING A VAN BECAUSE I COULDN'T STOP
CAR SPONTANEOUSLY IGNITED WHILE PARKED IN DRIVEWAY OVERNIGHT. ENGINE HAD BEEN OFF FOR 6 1/2 HOURS, KEYS WERE NOT IN VEHICLE CAR IS A TOTAL LOSS. HEAT FROM FIRE DAMAGED ANOTHER AUTO PARKED NEARBY. LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE BLAZE.
THE AIRBAG LIGHTS WONT TURN OFF.
THERE IS A KNOCKING WHEN I TURN MY STEERING WHEEL WHEN DRIVING, PARKED, AND WHEN I GO OVER BUMPS BOTH ON STREETS, AND HIGHWAY AT ANY SPEED. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING AND I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING MY VEHICLE
The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. The contact became aware that after it rained, there was water inside the driver’s and passenger’s side rear taillights assembly, causing the bulbs to become inoperable. The contact replaced the light bulbs. The dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that there was no recall regarding the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was 38,000.
STEERING "KNOCKS" WHILE TURNING WHEEL. "BOTH STANDING AND WITH VEHICLE MOVING ALONG CITY STREETS" LOOKED UP SYMPTOM ONLINE, WHICH APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM KNOW AS A DEFECTIVE AND UNSAFE STEERING COUPLER. THE COUPLER COSTS ABOUT $5.00 US DOLLARS BUT COSTS $410.00 TO REPLACE.
MY STEERING WHEEL STARTED WITH MAKING A CLICKING SOUND AND NOW THE STEERING IS PULLING AND QUITE FRANKLY I AM AFRAID THAT MY CAR STEERING COLUMN WILL COME UNDONE AND I WILL HAVE AN ACCIDENT. THIS CAR HAS LESS THAN 40,000 MILES ON IT AND SHOULD NOT HAVE ISSUES.

SRS LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET. OBD HAS DETERMINED THAT THE DRIVER'S FRONT AIRBAG CLOCK SPRING HAS FAILED. VEHICLE HAS 72,175 MILES. THIS PART IS A KNOWN HIGH FAILURE ITEM AND THE WARRANTY HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 15 YEARS FOR 2011-2013 SONATA, 2011-2014 SONATA HYBRID AND 'CERTAIN' 2011-2014 ELANTRA. THE WARRANTY EXTENSION DOES NOT COVER MY 2013 ELANTRA GT.
FLEXIBLE STEERING COUPLE FALLS APART CAUSING STEERING WHEEL TO.BECOME LOOSE AND MAKE LOUD METALLIC CLANKING NOISE. UNABLE TO PROVIDE PICTURES DUE TO ME NOT KNOWING HOW TO DISASSEMBLE STEERING COLUMN. MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS REPORTED ACCORDING TO HYUNDAI FORUMS
AIR BAG LIGHT WONT GO OFF... AND SEAT BELT FELL OUT OF THE ADJUSTER
BRAKE LIGHTS STAYED ON KILLING THE BATTERY. AFTER PAYING FOR A FOR A NEW BATTERY AND 100.00 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST IT WAS STATED THAT THE BRAKE STOPPER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER I PAID FOR THIS SERVICE A RECALL WAS MADE. I FILED A CLAIM TO BE REIMBURSE BUT HAVE BEEN IGNORED.
SINCE I OWNING THIS CAR I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH ALL LIGHTS. BOTH HEADLIGHT LAMPS HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO A DEFECT. ALSO I HAD BEEN REPLACING TAIL, BRAKE, AND TURNING SIGNAL LIGHTS AT EVERY OIL CHANGE BECAUSE ONE OR THE OTHER WILL BE OUT. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO REPLACE THIS MANY BULBS ON ANY OTHER CAR I HAVE OWNED. THIS OIL CHANGE JUNE 27, 2020 I HAD 3 BULBS OUT BREAK, TAIL LIGHT AND PARKING LIGHT ALL OUT AT THE SAME TIME. THIS HAS BEEN AND FEELS LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE AN ON GOING PROBLEM NOT TO MENTION THE COST EVERYTIME THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED. THEM LIGHT ARE NOT CHEAP. *TR
THE KEY FOB IS NOT DETECTED (INTERMITTENTLY). WHEN THIS HAPPENS, I AM LEFT STRANDED. MY CAR WILL NOT START. I HAVE CHANGED THE BATTERY IN THE FOB WHEN THIS OCCURS AND I HAVE TRIED TO USE MY SECOND KEY FOB. THE PROBLEM STILL IS NOT AIDED. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO PUT THE FOB UP TO THE START BUTTON, AS SOME VIDEOS SUGGEST. THE PROBLEM STILL CONTINUES. UPON LOOKING AT FORUMS AND OTHER PLACES ON THE WEB WHERE HYUNDAI CUSTOMERS COMMUNICATE, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AMONG HYUNDAI CUSTOMERS. DURING THIS TIME, THE CAR WAS STATIONARY. THIS IS A RECURRING ISSUE. I EVEN GOT THE BRAKE SENSOR REPLACED. THE PROBLEM CONTINUES. *TR
THE PARKING LIGHT COME ON RANDOMLY. EVEN WHEN THE SWITCH IT TURNED TO THE OFF POSITION. THIS CAUSES THE BATTERY TO RUN DOWN. THE ONLY WAY TO SHUT THEM OFF IS TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY CABLE. WHEN 1ST NOTICED THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DRIVEN FOR THREE DAYS. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE I FIRST NOTICED IT. SEVERAL OTHER HYUNDAI OWNERS HAVE REPORTED THE SAME PROBLEM. MOSTLY WITH PARKING LIGHTS , BUT A FEW SAID IT WAS THEIR BRAKE LIGHTS. *TR
I GOT MY CAR BRAKE RELEASE LIGHT FIXED BECAUSE IT WAS RECALLED IN 2018 2 YRS LATER SAME ISSUE BRAKE LIGHT IS STILL ON EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS OFF

STEERING COUPLER WHEN YOU MOVE THE WHEEL BACK AND FORTH IT CLICKS MAKES NOISE WHEN HIT BUMPS IN THE ROAD I AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT!
Airbag warning light illuminated for months and will not turn off. Every once in a while it randomly goes away but then comes back on soon after. This is a safety issue if the airbag is not functioning properly and this safety system defect needs to be recalled and fixed for free. Also, I have replaced my brake lights 3 times in the last few years but as soon as I do a different tail/brake light goes out. What seems to be an electrical issue is also a hazard and safety issue if my brake lights cannot illuminate indicating braking.
CAR HAS BEEN IN SHOP 3 TIMES FOR SAME ISSUE. CAR PULLS DANGEROUSLY TO THE LEFT. I'VE NOTICED MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM BUT NOT RECALL OR FIX AVAILABLE. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DUE TO THE FACT YOU HAVE TO OVER COMPENSATE STEERING. THIS WILL HAPPEN ON ANY ROAD OR HIGHWAY. EVEN WORSE IF ROADS ARE BAD, THE WILL OVER COMPENSATE ITSELF. THE STEERING KNUCKLE (COUPLER) IS BAD. *TR
CERTAIN STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS -- INCLUDING THE VOLUME CONTROLS AND BLUETOOTH PHONE CONTROLS -- STOPPED WORKING. A FEW MONTHS LATER, MORE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS -- SUCH AS OTHER AUDIO AND MEDIA CONTROLS -- STOPPED WORKING. A YEAR LATER, THE ABILITY TO CHANGE THE STEERING TENSION, FROM COMFORT TO NORMAL TO SPORT, STOPPED WORKING. WITHIN THE PAST YEAR, THE CRUISE CONTROL BUTTONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL HAVE STOPPED WORKING, AND THE RED AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON CONTINUOUSLY. ALTHOUGH HYUNDAI HAS ISSUED A RECALL FOR CERTAIN 2011-2014 ELANTRA VEHICLES, AND MY VEHICLE MEETS THAT YEAR RANGE AND MODEL, THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT COVER REPLACING THE AIRBAG CLOCK SPRING ASSEMBLY BECAUSE MY VIN DOES NOT MATCH THEIR CRITERIA. AS SUCH, THE DEALERSHIP HAS QUOTED $480 TO FIX MY VEHICLE'S AIRBAG CLOCK SPRING ASSEMBLY. IF MY VEHICLE EXPERIENCES THE SAME AIRBAG SAFETY ISSUES THAT COVERED VEHICLES HAVE EXPERIENCED AND WHICH PROMPTED THE RECALL, MY VEHICLE ALSO SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED CLOCK SPRING WARRANTY.
FOR A YEAR STRAIGHT THE CAR HAS BEEN SHUTTING OFF ON MY WHILE I'M DRIVING ON THE STREET'S. THIS IS VERY HAZARDOUS BECAUSE IT RANDOMLY HAPPENS. THE CAR WILL JUST SHUT OFF AS IF IT LOST BATTERY POWER WHILE STILL IN DRIVING GEAR. WHEN RESTARTING THE CAR IT CAN SOMETIMES TAKE AWHILE BECAUSE IT WILL MAKE A CLICKING NOISE LIKE THERE IS EITHER A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE OR STARTER FOR THE CAR. DRIVING PAST ON THE FREEWAY AND HIS TRUCK KEPT SWERVING INTO OUR LANE. I HONKED FOR OUR SAFETY TO WARN HIM AND PROTECT MYSELF AND MY TODDLER IN THE CAR FROM GETTING HIT. HE THEN PROCEEDED TO FOLLOW ME WITH HIS WIFE IN THE CAR MAKING HAND GESTURES OF SHOOTING ME AND CONTINUED TO ATTEMPT TO SWERVE HIS TRUCK. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HYUNDAI ELANTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH, SHE DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL HOWEVER, THE BRAKES FAILED TO ENGAGE WITH AN ABNORMAL NOISE BEING HEARD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE PUMPED THE BRAKE PEDAL SEVERAL TIMES HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE TRAVELLED INTO A DITCH, HIT A FENCE AND CRASHED INTO A METAL POST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AS THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED WHILE DRIVING OVER A SPEED BUMPER AN ABNORMAL NOISE WAS HEARD WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED UNDER THREE RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
NOTICED A OIL BASED LEAK UNDER VEHICLE ,HAVE IT INSPECTED THE LEAK IS COMING OUT OF A DEFECTIVE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR ,EMITTING TOXICS FREON AND AC OIL TO THE AIR AND GROUND. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR SAFETY AND POLLUTION. *TR

WHILE APPLYING BRAKES VEHICLES ENGINE WOULD REV UP TO OVER 5000 RPM'S MAKING IT HARD TO STOP ONCE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND GEAR SHIFT WAS PUT IN PARK THE VEHICLE WAS SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED WHERE IT NOW WAS RUNNING NORMALY THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS ONCE IN BUSY TRAFFIC THE OTHER WHILE I WAS PULLING INTO MY GARAGE TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP YOU REALLY HAD TO PUT ALOT OF PRESSURE ON THE BRAKES MY WIFE WON'T DRIVE IT ANYMORE FOR SHE FEARS SHE'LL BE IN A ACCIDENT I'M AFRAID THAT THESE HIGH RPM'S MAY DO DAMAGE TO THE BRAKES , ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED WAS A FEW MONTHS AGO AND RECENTLY YESTERDAY MARCH 9TH 2020
CLIPPING/POPPING WHILE TURNING STEERING COLUMN. FIX NOT COVERED BY DEALER AND IS KNOWN PROBLEM. INTERNET SEARCH SHOWS CARS WITH THIS ISSUE BACK TO AT LEAST 2015. TO REPAIR AT MECHANIC/DEALER IS APPROX $400. WITH IT FIX CONCERNED ABOUT WEAR AND DECREASE IN STEERING ABILITY.
WHEN ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE THE LICENSE PLATE BULBS IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE LICENSE PLATE BULB HOUSING, AS WELL AS THE OUTER TAIL LAMP HOUSINGS, SHOWED EVIDENCE OF THE INTERNAL PLASTICS MELTING. IT APPEARS THAT THE HEAT FROM THE LAMPS WAS ENOUGH TO CAUSE THE HOUSINGS AND INTERNAL LENSE PLASTICS TO HEAT BEYOND THE GLASS TRANSITION TEMPERATURE OF THE PLASTICS UTILIZED BY HYUNDAI. BOTH OUTER TAIL LAMP HOUSINGS AND LICENSE PLATE BULB HOUSES WERE REPLACED DUE TO THE DAMAGED. THE ORIGINAL BULBS WERE ALL CHECKED TO ENSURE THEY WERE CORRECT PER THE VEHICLE MANUAL, WHICH THEY WERE.
THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT CAN'T GET POWER SHAKES SLOW TO ACCELERATE FOR HALF A BLOCK THEN ACCELERATION. IT'S HAPPENED 5 TIMES TODAY. OTHER DAYS IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S NOT RUNNING SMOOTHLY AND THEN DOES OK AFTER AWHILE. THIS HAPPENED WITH CAR IN PARK, BACKING UP, GOING FORWARD, 2 DIFFERENT STOPS AT LIGHTS AND 2 MORE STOPS TIL I GOT HOME.
THERE IS AN EXISTING SAFETY ISSUE WITH HYUNDAI ELECTRIC STEERING. THE RUBBER STEERING COUPLING IS DEFECTIVE AND THEY HAVE ISSUED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR 2013 HYUNDAI ELANTRA SEDANS BUT NOT THE GT MODELS. HOWEVER, THEY BOTH USE THE SAME ELECTRIC MOTOR. MY CAR EXHIBITS THE "CLUNKING NOISE" WHICH IS A SYMPTOM OF THE WORN PART. MY HYUNDAI DEALER CHECKED IT AND IMMEDIATELY SAID THAT IT WAS INDEED THE PROBLEM BUT UPON CHECKING MY VIN NUMBER MY GT MODEL ELANTRA IS NOT COVERED. I THINK HYUNDAI HAS JUST OVERLOOKED THIS BUT EVEN THOUGH I HAVE AN OPEN CASE WITH THEM THEY KEEP BEATING AROUND THE BUSH ABOUT IT. I TRIED EXPLAINING TO THEM THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE BUT IT DIDN'T SEEM TO HELP. WHEN YOU MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL BACK AND FORTH YOU HEAR THIS CLUNKING NOISE WHICH IS INDICATIVE OF THE WORN RUBBER BUSHING. ATTACHED IN THE NEXT PARAGRAPH IS THE VERBIAGE FROM THE HYUNDAI WEBSITE REGARDING THIS ISSUE. I REALLY NEED TO GET THEM TO COVER MY CAR. IT IS A $300 PLUS REPAIR. THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON. THEY HAVE RECALLS AND OR MANUFACTURERS EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR OTHER HYUNDAI ELANTRA'S, BUT NOT FOR 2013 HYUNDAI ELANTRA GT? THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND I AM PLACING A COMPLAINT BECAUSE THIS SHOULD BE COVERED AND NOT AN EXPENSE TO OWNER OF THE CAR. IT'S EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND COULD CAUSE SERIOUS HARM WITH SUCH A DEFAULT. ALL HYUNDAI'S HAVING THIS ISSUE, SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY, NOT JUST SOME.
THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON ALL THE TIME. THE LIGHT IS SUPPOSED TO GO OUT AFTER 6 SECONDS OF THE CAR BEING STARTED. MINE DOES NOT GO OUT AND REMAINS LIT. THEY HAVE EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR 15 YEARS FOR THIS ISSUE DUE TO THE CLOCK SPRING NEEDING REPLACED.
CAR CHUGGED AND SHUT OFF; WAITED AND IT STARTED AGAIN, BUT SINCE HAD TICKING NOISE. DEALER IS SAYING NEW ENGINE NEEDED; STATED HYUNDAI IS AWARE OF THE ENGINE WEARING OUT PREMATURELY AND HYUNDAI IS TRYING TO HELP PEOPLE OUT IF IT IS PAST THE WARRANTY BY PAYING 90% OF THE COST. HYUNDAI SHOULD PAY 100% IF THEY ARE AWARE THAT IT IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM. AND THEY SAY IT IS GOING TO TAKE 2-4 WEEKS TO REPAIR.
BRAKES DON'T WANT TO STOP EVEN AFTER I'VE GOT THEM REPAIRED BRAKE LIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT EVEN AFTER THE BULBS HAS BEEN REPLACED
FOR THE LAST WEEK AFTER SITTING OVERNIGHT MY CAR WILL NOT START. I GET IN WHILE ITS PARKED STATIONARY ON THE STREET, TURN THE KEY, ALL THE LIGHTS COME ON, I CAN HEAR THE FUEL PUMP KICK ON, (THERE IS NO CLICK), AND NOTHING HAPPENS. AFTER I REPEATEDLY TURN THE KEY IT HAS BEEN STARTING BUT I AM AFRAID IT WILL JUST NOT START AT SOME POINT. CALLED THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THEY CAR, THEY SAID TO CALL THE HYUNDAI DEALER. CALLED HYUNDAI DEALER, THEY SAID THEY HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND WOULD HAVE TO REPLICATE PROBLEM (THERE ARE COMPLAINTS ALL OVER THE INTERNET ABOUT THIS PROBLEM) THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE THE CAR WITH THEM, WITH NO CHANCE OF A LOANER (I CANNOT AFFORD TO UBER 26 MILES A DAY). I TOLD THEM ONCE I GET IT STARTED FOR THE DAY, IT USUALLY STARTS RIGHT BACK UP AFTER BEING TURNED OFF. I TOOK A VIDEO OF THE PROBLEM THIS MORNING. IT HAD THE SAME TROUBLE STARTING THIS MORNING WHEN COLD, AND THEN WHEN I GOT TO WORK, 13 MILES AWAY, I TURNED IT OFF AND ATTEMPTED TO START IT, IT DID THE SAME THING (THATS WHY I OBTAINED THE VIDEO OF THE ISSUE). I AM GOING TO HAVE TO BORROW A FAMILY MEMBERS CAR TO DRIVE WHILE THEY DIAGNOSE THIS WIDELY REPORTED PROBLEM THEY HAVE "NEVER HEARD OF". I OWNED A 2007 ELANTRA SINCE IT WAS NEW AND JUST SOLD IT TO BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE.. I NEVER HAD ONE ISSUE IN 13 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP. HYUNDAI NEEDS TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY AND RECALL THIS ISSUE.
RED LIGHT WITH AIRBAG PICTURE STAYS ON IN THE DASH UNDER THE GAUGES. IT COMES ON AND STAYS ON DURING DRIVING WITH SEAT BELTS FASTENED AND EVERYTHING SECURED. MIGHT BE INDICATING SOME SORT OF MALFUNCTION IN SAFETY AIRBAG SYSTEM.
MY ELANTRAS BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ALWAYS ON. MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT, EPS LIGHT, ABS LIGHT, AND BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ARE ALWAYS ON AS WELL. I SEE WHERE MY VEHICLE IS SHOWN THAT THE RECALLS HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPAIRED ON MY CAR AND I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT IS TRUE OR THIS WOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. MY BRAKES LIGHTS CONSTANTLY BEING ON IS A MAJOR PROBLEM BECAUSE THAT CAN CAUSE CONFUSION ON OTHER DRIVES AND ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M REALLY USING THEM TO SLOW DOWN. I'M ALWAYS HAVING TO CONSTANTLY REPLACE THE LIGHT BULBS ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF MY VEHICLE AS WELL WHICH IS ODD. I'M VERY CONCERNED AND FRUSTRATED AND WISH I WOULD RECEIVE ASSISTANCE IN FIXING THE PROBLEM. I HAVE NOT BEEN IN ANY WRECKS WITH MY VEHICLE EITHER. I ALSO HAD SOMEONE CHECK MY CAR FOR ANY CODES AND VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR CAME UP AS WELL AS BRAKE SWITCH.
WITH LESS THAN 22,000 MILES, THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN MAKING A KNOCKING SOUND WHEN TURNED LEFT TO RIGHT WHILE DRIVING OR STATIONARY. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS MORE DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AS TIME WENT ON. I TOOK IT IN FOR REPAIRS AND FOUND THAT THE COUPLER HAD BEEN SHREDDED. THIS IS A $5 PIECE WHICH COSTS A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS TO HAVE REPLACED BY AN AUTO SHOP. HYUNDAI SHOULD BE REPLACING THESE, INSTEAD OF ITS CUSTOMERS.
THE STEERING HAS BECOME LOOSE AN KLUNKS WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL IS MOVED BACK AND FORTH FROM CIENTER POSITION . IT DOES THIS ALL THE TIME WHEATHER MOVING OR STOPPED.
JUST BOUGHT THE 2013 HYUNDAI ELANTRA, 12/21/2019, AFTER ABOUT 100 MILES OF DRIVING WE NOTICED THE STEERING WHEEL IS OFF CENTER. WHILE DRIVING IN TOWN AND ON HIGHWAY SHIFTING LANES IT DIDN'T WANT TO GO AND IT WILL PULL HARD LEFT OR RIGHT ALMOST CAUSING TO RUN OFF THE ROAD. 12/25/2019, WHILE ON THE WAY HOME I ALMOST STRUCK ANOTHER CAR. MORE NOTICEABLE FROM 30 TO 55 WORSE OVER 55. DRIVING ON DIRT ROAD FEELS LIKE IT WANTS TO FISH TAIL. STEERING IS STICKY YET A LOT OF PLAY. INTERMITTINGLY WHILE BRAKING IT SOUNDS LIKE SCRAPPING LIKE WHEN YOUR BRAKES ARE BAD. BRAKING SLOWLY OR ABRUPTLY MAKES NO CHANGE. WET ROADS IS WORSE WITH BRAKING.
ELECTRIC STEERING COUPLING DEFECTIVE. CAR HAS ONLY 33K MILES ON IT. UNSAFE TO DRIVE. MECHANIC REPORTS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR. I NOTICED TOO MUCH PLAY AND CLUNKING IN STEERING WHILE STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. CAR BOUGHT FROM DEALERSHIP JULY 3, 2019.. I HAD CAR REPAIRED BEFORE FURTHER DAMAGE OCCURRED.
