THE FRONT SUSPENSION ON THE CAR IS DEFECTIVE. THE CAR HANDLES ALL BUMPS HORRIBLY AND HAS "BOTTOMED OUT" QUITE A NUMBER OF TIMES, LEADING TO THE CRACKING AND BREAKING OFF OF THE BOTTOM OF THE FRONT BUMPER/WHEEL WELL COMPONENTS, CAUSING A SAFETY CONCERN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. HAD TO PULL THE CAR OFF THE ROAD AND STOP AT A HOME CENTER AND PATCH IT WITH DUCT TAPE. SINCE THEN I HAVE ASKED OTHER OWNERS AND HAVE FOUND ABOUT SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AND PROBLEMS. I AM AN ADULT 53 YEARS OLD AND HAVE NEVER DRIVEN ANY CAR HARD AND HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME WITH ANY OTHER VEHICLE I HAVE DRIVEN. I WENT ONLINE AND FOUND THIS PROBLEM IDENTIFIED IN NUMEROUS DISCUSSION GROUPS ETC. SO I AM SURE THE MANUFACTURER IS AWARE. WHAT RESPONSIBILITY DOES A MANUFACTURER HAVE IN A SITUATION SUCH AS THIS? THIS CAR WAS TOP OF THE LINE AND COST $35,000.00. *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
