Engine, Electrical power has gone out at 6 months. After purchase. Break down on interstate. Vehicle dealership: ONEAUTOSALESORLANDO
Component: Dashboard Risk: pieces crack and fall off and are propelled by the air conditioning into the face of the driver. The shine from the deteriorating dashboard is visually blinding during sunny days.
The dashboard on this vehicle seem to be failing in such a way that it has become extremely shiny & sticky and causes major visibility issues. Nothing that we have used to clean the dash works to remove the shininess. This has gotten so bad that the glare caused makes it very difficult to see out of the windshield.
The contact owns a 2011 Infiniti FX. The contact noticed that the steering assembly was cracking without any warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but no assistance was provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 101,938.
All lugs on the right rear wheel have snapped off. At first it was one which was repaired. Then three at once broke off and caused damage. After it was repaired again the fifth and final one broke off.

2011 INFINITI FX 35 - DEALER RECOMMENDS THE REPLACEMENT OF THE FUEL SENDER & A/C AMP FOR $1,765.09. MY RESEARCH REVEALS THAT THIS ISSUE/PART HAS BEEN A CONCERN SINCE 2003 (NISSAN/INFINITI) - I HAVE A 2011. BASICALLY THE GAS GAUGE NO LONGER WORKS THEREFORE THE DRIVER DOESN'T KNOW WHEN GAS IS NEEDED. THIS MORNING 1/31/2020 I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK AND GOT 6 DOORS AWAY FROM MY HOME AND MY CAR STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET - OUT OF GAS AND I HAD TO CALL AAA TO BRING ME GAS SO I COULD GET TO THE GAS STATION. I AM GRATEFUL THAT MY CAR STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF MY BLOCK AS OPPOSE TO STOPPING ON THE MOST DANGEROUS STRETCH OF HIGHWAY IN PHILADELPHIA "THE ROOSEVELT EXPRESSWAY/BLVD" - MAKING THIS MALFUNCTION A SAFETY CONCERN FOR THE OWNER AND FELLOW DRIVERS ON THE HIGHWAY. NISSAN/INFINITI HAS THIS PROBLEM SINCE 2003 AND I HAVE A 2011 WITH ONLY 75000 MILES ON IT. I WAS A LOYAL CUSTOMER TO MY INFINITI DEALER AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY WERE WILL TO DO TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. IS THIS PROBLEM NOT BEING CORRECT FOR SO MANY YEARS BECAUSE IT IS MAKING NISSAN/INFINITI EXTRA MONEY ON REPAIRS?! ONE THING FOR SURE IT IS PUTTING CONSUMER/DRIVERS AT RISK OF INJURY AND DEATH.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 INFINITI FX. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH THE VEHICLE UNEXPECTEDLY STOPPED AND WOULD NOT RESTART WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (INFINITI OF ARDMORE 306 W LANCASTER AVE, ARDMORE, PA 19003) FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS A REPLACE FUEL SENDER AND AC AMP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT IS REFERENCING THE FAILURE TO (NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V074 COMPONENTS FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER) THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000 *LN *DL
FUEL GAUGE DOE,S NOT WORK
WHILE GOING UP AND DOWN A WINDING THE ROAD THE CAR BEGAN TO ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN. TRIED TO APPLY THE BREAK TO KNOW AVAIL. AFTER ABOUT 2-3 MINUTES THE CAR RETURNED TO NORMAL.
THE LEFT STEERING KNUCKLE ABRUTLY BROKE WHILE IN THE DRIVING ON THE HIGH WAY WHICH LED THE CAR OUT OF CONTROL AND BEGAN TO SPIN AROUND AND FINALLY HIT THE ROAD RAIL.IT CLOSELY LED TO A DISASTROUS CRASH WITH OTHER CARS ON THE ROAD . *TR
ENGINE ROARS PERIODICALLY WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES. CAR SAFETY PROBLEM: GAS PEDAL TOO HIGH. WHEN DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL, SIDE OF FOOT CAN CONCURRENTLY DEPRESS THE GAS PEDAL, CAUSING CAR TO LURCH FORWARD. DEALER SAID CAN'T FIX, SHOWED ME THAT PEDALS ON MY 2011 FX35 IDENTICAL TO OTHERS AT THE DEALERSHIP. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 INFINITI FX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD SHIFT ERRONEOUSLY BETWEEN SECOND AND THIRD GEARS. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THE FAILURE BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT A REMEDY HAD NOT BEEN GENERATED FOR THE PARTICULAR FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 8,000.
