The contact stated that on several occasions, while the vehicle was started, there was an abnormal ticking sound coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
I WAS DRIVING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION AT ABOUT 15/20 MILES AN HOUR AS THE LIGHT HAD JUST TURNED GREEN & MY CAR JUST SHUT DOWN OUT OF NO WHERE ALL THE LIGHTS WERE ON ON THE DASH, AND THE CAR ROLLED TO A STOP. I TURNED THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS ON. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND HIT THE START BUTTON AGAIN & THE CAR STARTED WITH NO ISSUES. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME IT HAS HAPPEN THE SAME WAY. LUCKILY THE OTHER 2 TIMES I WAS DRIVING THROUGH A PARKING LOT AND THE VEHICLE JUST SHUTS DOWN WHILE ACCELERATING & IN DRIVE MODE. THERE ARE NO WARNING LIGHTS ON MY VEHICLE FOR MAINTENANCE. READING ABOUT THIS ONLINE IT APPARENTLY HAPPENS A LOT & TO SOME PEOPLE ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 70 MPH. THIS COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS!
