During the failure the check engine warning light illuminated and the message "Inoperative - See Owner’s Manual" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on several occasions and the ignition module, engine cylinders, brake wiring harness and brake sensor were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 23,000.
