I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE AND HEARD A LOUD BANG, LIKE A GUNSHOT OVERHEAD AND GLASS FELL INTO THE CABIN ON MYSELF, WIFE AND TWO KIDS. THE SUNROOF ON OUR 2014 INFINITY QX60 WAS CLOSED, BUT HAD EXPLODED INTO THOUSANDS OF PIECES. I OBSERVED NO ROAD DEBRIS OR FALLING METEORS THAT COULD HAVE STRUCK THE SUNROOF AND CAUSED IT TO EXPLODE. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, IT APPEARS THAT SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODING SUNROOFS ARE AN INCREASING PROBLEM THAT MANUFACTURERS AND DEALERSHIPS REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE, WHICH IS ALSO OUR EXPERIENCE AS WE WERE FORCED TO FILE AN INSURANCE CLAIM IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE SUNROOF.
When accelerating car jerks continuesly and electronics do not work it is delayed
HI, WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY SUDDENLY THE TRANSMISSION STARTED ACTING WEIRD. SOMETIMES SUDDEN ACCELERATION WITHOUT GIVING GAS, SOMETIMES SLOWDOWN TO BELOW 40MPH. I CAUTIOUSLY AVOID COUPLE OF CLOSE ACCIDENTS. I DROVE SLOW WITH MY BLINKERS ON TO REACH HOME. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER THIS MORNING TO CHECK THIS OUT. HOPEFULLY THIS SHOULD BE COVERED BY MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY.
BRAKES SHIMMY-NEW (ADDED 2 MONTHS AGO) ENGINE SHUTTERS AND SHAKES WHEN TURNING AND DRIVING WHEN DRIVING, THE CAR ENGINE SPUTTERS WHEN TURNING THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT WILL GO OFF THE ROAD ITS SHAKING SO BADLY
THE CAR SHUDDER WHEN I STEPPED ON THE ACCELERATOR. I WAS TOLD BY THE INFINITI REPAIRMAN THAT IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION. CHECKED ONLINE AND FOUND: THE VEHICLES INFINITI QX60 2014 ARE EQUIPPED WITH CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSIONS KNOWN AS THE JATCO CVT8HT THAT WERE ALLEGEDLY DEFECTIVE BEFORE THEY WERE EVEN INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLES. NEVER GOT A PHONE CALL FROM INIFINITI FOR INSPECTION THE POSSIBLE PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NEWTON NISSAN (1461 NASHVILLE PIKE, GALLATIN, TN 37066) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAN HARNESS FAILED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAN HARNESS HAD BEEN REPLACED FOUR MONTHS PRIOR TO THE FIRE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,200. *DT
WHILE IN MOTION, THE ENGINE IS EXTREMELY LOUD, ALMOST LIKE A RACE CAR OR BIG TRUCK. THIS CONTINUES IN LOWER GEARS AND AT SLOWER SPEEDS. AROUND 50-60 MPH, THE SOUND SMOOTHS OFF. THEN, WHEN SLOWING DOWN, REOCCURS. WILL SOME TIMES STUTTER WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A TURN OR ON ACCELERATION. THIS DELAY COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ZERKS AND LURCHES, AND SOMETIMES FAILS TO ENGAGE WHEN STARTING FROM FULL STOP. THE SAME ISSUE OCCURS WHEN TRYING TO REVERSE. THE ISSUE IS ESPECIALLY A PROBLEM WHEN STARTING FROM A FULL STOP ON A HILL. THE BEVERLY HILLS INFINITI REPAIR GARAGE SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE, YET IT IS A WELL-KNOWN ISSUE AS DESCRIBED BY SEVERAL OWNERS VIA INTERNET POSTINGS.
ON A RECENT TRIP TO SAN ANTONIO, TX HILL COUNTRY ON A VERY HOT DAY, THE HYBRID SYSTEM OVER-HEATED ON A SLOW SPEED CLIMB TO A STEEP HILL. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION SHUTTER AND STOPPED POWERING THE WHEELS. THE VEHICLE START TO ROLL BACK ON TO CARS COMING BEHIND. I HAD TO PRESS EMERGENCY BRAKE AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE FOR 10 MINUTES. ON START THE HYBRID WARNING SIGN WAS STILL ON. HOWEVER THE POWERR TO WHEEL WERE BACK WITH CAR STILL SHUTTERING. FROM THEN ONWARDS HAD TO START AND STOP THE ENGINE UNTIL REACHING THE TOP OF THE HILL. ON REACHING TOP, HAD TO STOP AND PARK THE CAR FOR 2 HRS. START THE CAR AGAIN, STILL THE HYBRID WARNING SIGN ON. THEN DROVE DOWN THE HILL AVOIDING ANY MORE UP HILLS A INTO COSTCO PARKING AND LEFT THE CAR PARKED FOR 3 HRS. AFTER THAT, START THE CAR AND THE HYBRID WARNING SIGN WENT OFF. DROVE BACK TO HOUSTON AND SHOWED TO THE DEALER AND THE COMPUTER DIAGNOSTIC CODE SHOWS HYBRID MOTOR INVERTER CONTROLLER FAILED. ALSO NOTICE THE PART OF THIRD ROW SEAT BURNT WHERE THE HYBRID BATTERY IS STORED. HOWEVER THE DEALER MENTIONS THEY BATTERY IS FINE. NOW WE ARE SCARED TO DRIVE THIS CAR ON VERY HOT DAYS TO ANY STEEP HILL. FAILURE OF POWER TO WHEELS WAS PRETTY SCARY. WITH BRUNT MARK ON THE THIRD ROW SEAT MAKES THIS CAR EVEN MORE SCARIER SINCE THIS CAR IS ONLY USED BY MY WIFE AND KIDS. THINKING OF ANYTHING HAPPENING TO THEM BECAUSE OF FIRE OR POWER FAILURE MAKES THIS CAR REALLY UNRELIABLE. ANOTHER ISSUE THAT HAPPENS VERY WINTER IS LOUD KNOCKING DURING EXTREME COLD (32 BELOW) DAYS. WE LIVE IN SUGAR LAND (HOUSTON) TX. VERY SELDOM WE GET VERY COLD DAYS. HOWEVER WHENEVER WE DO, THERE IS EXTREMELY LOUD KNOCKING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. AS PER DEALER THIS IS NORMAL WITH INFINITI QX60 HYBRID. I SPENT CLOSE TO $67K FOR THIS CAR. I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH PERFORMANCE OF THIS CAR.
I HAVE PROBLEM WITH CVTRANSMISSION,SHUDERING AND JERKING
THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS AND SHAKES THE ENTIRE CAR. ITS VERY LOUD. ITS FINE WHILE IT IS PARKED OR IN IDLE. WHEN IT GETS UP TO AROUND 40 MPH THE VIBRATIONS/SHUDDERING AND THE NOISE START TO KICK IN.IT'S SOMETIMES NOT NOTICEABLE AT LOWER SPEEDS BUT IS HARD NOT CONSISTENT. HAD THE MOTOR CHECKED TO SEE IF IT WAS THE CAUSE. TRANSMISSION CAME BACK AS THE SOURCE OF THE ISSUES.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO INFINITI OF GREENSBORO (3605 W WENDOVER AVE, GREENSBORO, NC 27407) WHERE IT WAS VERIFIED THAT THERE WERE NO SEAT BELTS FOR THE THIRD ROW SEATS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER WOULD HAVE TO ORDER THE PARTS FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD RESEARCH THE FAILURE AND GET BACK WITH HER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,405.
DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT: EVERY TIME IT RAINS OR SNOWS MOISTURE GETS BUILT UP INSIDE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND THE LIGHTS QUITS WORKING.
WE PURCHASED THE CAR IN NOVEMBER 11, 2013 AND THE PROBLEMS STARTED SHORTLY THEREAFTER. WE HAVE EXTENSIVE PAPERWORK OVER THE COURSE OF 4 YEARS THAT CONFIRMS THE NUMEROUS TIMES WE'VE UNSUCCESSFULLY ATTEMPTED TO GET INFINITI TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS. AT ONE POINT, INFINITI SUPPOSEDLY FIXED THE PROBLEM BY COMPLETELY CHANGING OUT THE SOFTWARE BUT THE PROBLEMS RETURNED. IN FACT, EVERY SINGLE TIME WE BROUGHT THE CAR TO INFINITI, EVEN IF IT WAS JUST FOR AN OIL CHANGE OR ROUTINE SERVICE, WE INFORMED THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE CAR WASN'T FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY. WE HAVE PUT ONLY 37,000 MILES ON THE CAR AND WE'VE TAKEN VERY GOOD CARE OF IT, PERFORMED EVERY SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE, USE ONLY PREMIUM GAS, ETC. FROM ALMOST AS SOON AS WE TOOK POSSESSION, WE BEGIN EXPERIENCING SEVERE ISSUES: "HIGH REVVING WHEN IDLING "LAG/HESITATION WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A DEAD STOP "HIGH REVVING WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES. WE WERE TOLD TO NOT DRIVE THE CAR IN SPORT MODE WITH THE AIR CONDITION RUNNING. "TRANSMISSION HAS NEEDED SOFTWARE UPDATES "EXTREMELY LOUD SOUNDS FROM THE ENGINE "JUDDERING, ALMOST STALLING BECAUSE ENGINE IS NOT GETTING A STEADY SUPPLY OF AIR, FUEL OR POWER "FUEL TANK IS SLOW TO FILL AND FILLING NOZZLE SHUTS OFF BEFORE TANK IS FULL "MUCH LOWER MILEAGE THAN PROMISED - NO BETTER THAN A CONVENTIONAL ENGINE CAR REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT IS ECONOMY, REGULAR OR SPORT MODE "BRAKING ISSUES. TOLD TO NOT DRIVE IN A LOWER GEAR GOING DOWN THE STEEP HILLS AS THE BRAKING ACTUALLY CHARGED THE HYBRID MOTOR EVEN THOUGH IT CAUSED OUR BRAKES TO WEAR OUT PREMATURELY. GIVEN THE LITANY OF UNREPAIRABLE PROBLEMS THAT RENDER THIS CAR UNSAFE TO DRIVE WITH MY KIDS, I THOUGHT THE NHTSA WOULD LIKE TO BE MADE AWARE IN THE EVENT THERE ARE OTHER CONSUMERS WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS. I'VE REQUESTED THAT INFINITI INITIATE A REPURCHASE FOR MY QX60 HYBRID BASED ON MY STATE'S LEMON LAW.
TRANSMISSION REQUIRING FREQUENT REPLACEMENT MY TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE IN THE PAST YEAR AND IS CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING ISSUES AGAIN. PRIOR TO THE FIRST REPLACEMENT, THE ENGINE WOULD STUTTER WHEN OPERATING AT LOAD SPEEDS. AFTER THE FIRST TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT, THE ISSUE MANUFACTURED IN DANGEROUS SITUATIONS. FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN MERGING ONTO A HIGHWAY, THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PAST 20 MPH OR SHIFT GEARS. I CONTACTED INFINITI CORPORATE TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT AND THEY SENT A 'TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST' OUT TO REVIEW THE VEHICLE. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT A SECURITY UPDATE FROM 2015 WAS NOT APPLIED TO THE CAR. I'M NOT SURE HOW A DEALERSHIP SERVICE VEHICLE COULD BE MISSING A 3 YEAR OLD PATCH, BUT WE WILL IGNORE THAT FACT FOR NOW. EVEN WITH THE SECURITY UPDATE, THE CAR IS EXHIBITING THE SAME BEHAVIOR. IT IS UNFORTUNATELY NOT CONSISTENT THOUGH, SO SERVICE HASN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIX. THESE VEHICLES NEED TO BE RECALLED ALREADY FOR SAFETY.
WHEN DRIVING IT STARTED JERKING AND BUCKING,ALSO BRAKES NOT HOLDING.I ONLY HAVE THIS VEHICLE TWO TO THREE MONTHS.
I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW IN 2015. A FEW MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE. IT STARTED TO GIVE ME INTERMITTENT ISSUES WITH THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT LIGHTS (BUT NOT THE HEADLIGHT). A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER I FIRST NOTICE THE PROBLEM, I HAD THE CHANCE TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. WHEN THEY TESTED THE VEHICLE THEY DIDN'T FIND ANY PROBLEMS. I DROVE HOME PUZZLED BECAUSE WHEN I DROVE TO THE DEALER THAT MORNING THE ONE OF THE LIGHTS OF OFF. SO I TESTED THE LIGHTS AS SOON AS I GOT HOME AND THE LIGHT DIDN'T GO ON. I IMMEDIATELY CALL THE REP THAT HELP ME AT THE DEALER AND LEFT A MESSAGE. SINCE IT WAS CLOSE TO 5:30 PM I FIGURED THE REP WOULD BE CALLING ME NEXT DAY IN THE AM. NO ONE DID AND I FORGOT ABOUT THE PROBLEM DO TO WORK. THE PROBLEM CONTINUED ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS UNTIL THE LIGHT STOPPED WORKING. BY NOW THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTEE BUT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT AFFECTING MY DRIVING OR IT WAS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. HOWEVER, JUST LAST WEEK, ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DRIVER SIDE ARE NOT WORKING EXCEPT FOR THE FOG LIGHT. WHEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC, THE TEST REVEALED THAT THE PARTS TO FIX THE PROBLEM AS PER HIS DEALER CONTACT COST $1600. IT IS THE BALESTER. ACCORDING TO THE DEALER REP THEY HAVE HAD LOTS OF PROBLEMS WITH THOSE; HOWEVER, IF THAT IS THE CASE I NEVER RECEIVE ANY COMMUNICATION FROM INFINITI EVEN AFTER ME BRINGING MY VEHICLE FOR REPAIRS. THE COST OF REPAIR WITH LABOR NOW IS GOING TO BE OVER $2000 WHEN IT COULD HAVE BEEN FIXED WHILE ON WARRANTY.
THE CAR IS SHAKING AND STEERING WHILE GET LOCK AND TRANSMISSION IS JAMMING
SAME ISSUE MANY OTHERS NOTED, WHICH IS THE TRANSMISSION JERKING AT LOW SPEED AND OVER-REVVING/JOLTING ON ACCELERATION FROM A STOP. WHEN TRYING TO COAST AT LOW SPEED IN TRAFFIC THE CAR SHUDDERS SO BADLY I HAVE TO JUST STOP. SEEMS ESPECIALLY PRONOUNCED AS THE VEHICLE TRANSITIONS FROM E-DRIVE TO THE GAS ENGINE. WE BOUGHT THE CAR USED, AND THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A LONG TIME.
MY 2014 INFINITI QX60 HAS A SUNROOF THAT EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65MPH WHEN I HEARD THE LOUDEST "BANG" I HAVE EVER HEARD. I THOUGHT THE CAR HAD GOTTEN SHOT. UPON PULLING OVER AND EXAMINING THE VEHICLE, I SAW THAT THE SUNROOF HAD EXPLODED. I HAD NOT PASSED UNDER ANY OVERPASSES, NO TRUCKS WERE NEAR MY VEHICLE. I NOTED THAT THE THERE WAS NOT EVEN A SCRATCH TO THE INTERIOR SUNROOF PANEL, WHICH WOULD HAVE SUSTAINED DAMAGE IF SOMETHING HAD FALLEN ON IT. FURTHERMORE, IT WAS OBVIOUS FROM THE GLASS THAT THE DAMAGE WAS NOT FROM A FALLING OBJECT. SHARDS OF GLASS HAD APPARENTLY BLOWN INTO THE STREETS AS I DROVE. I WAS EXTREMELY SHAKEN AS I SWERVED WHEN I HEARD THE NOISE
PURCHASED 12/26/16 37,000 MILES NEEDED TRANSMISSION AT 43,200 NEEDED ANOTHER TRANSMISSION 47,000 NO POWER AND LOUD NOISE
The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, the vehicle would jerk upon acceleration without warning. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the jerking was a normal vehicle since the vehicle was a hybrid. As the failure persisted, the contact went to the manufacturer's website and discovered that her vehicle had been placed under NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V774000(ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING, HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM); however, the parts for the repair were not available. The manufacturer was also notified of the recall and offered no assistance. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the repair. The failure mileage was unknown. Vin tool confirms parts not available.
AS I START TO ACCELERATE I CAN FEEL THE CAR STUTTER AT TIMES. WHEN I'M AT FULL ACCELERATION THE CAR SEEMS TO RUN FINE, BUT AS I START SLOWING DOWN UNDER 5 MILES AN HOUR I CAN FEEL A STUTTER AGAIN.
CONSTANTLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION SLIPS WITH HARD ACCELERATION AND SLIPS SEVERELY IN REVERSE. THIS HAPPENS ANY TIME UNDER QUICK.ACCELERATION WHETHER ON STREETS OR HIGHWAYS. IN REVERSE IT HAPPENS ALWAYS.
DRIVING FROM HOUSTON TO AUSTIN ON 71 AT 65MPH ON JULY 27TH 2017. NO TRAFFIC AROUND ME, NO DEBRIS ON ROAD. SUNROOF EXPLODED OUTWARDS. NO IMPACT FROM DEBRIS BUT WAS VERY HOT DAY. TESTED TEMP OF SUNROOF AFTERWARDS WITH LASER READER - SHOWED 165F.
THE TAILGATE WILL CLOSE ON YOU AND THE SENSOR THAT TELL THE TAILGATE A PERSON OR OBJECT IS IN THE WAY COMPLETELY FAILS. ITS DANGEROUS FOR ANYONE BUT ESPECIALLY CHILDREN OR ELDERLY. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME. SOMETIMES WITH THE INTERIOR RELEASE BUTTON AND ALMOST ALWAYS WITH THE REMOTE KEY FOB.
CAR SHUTTERS AT LOW SPEED. HESITATION AND STRONG SHAKING.
AFTER TAKING OFF CAR NOT SHIFTING SOUNDS LIKE A WHINING NOISE COMING FROM TRANSMISSION AND CAR WAS JERKING AT LOW SPEED. ALSO HAD CRUISE SET AND CAR SPEEDS UP ON IT OWN.
HAD SEVERAL INCIDENTS INVOLVING REVVING OF ENGINE AND VEHICLE NOT ACCELERATING WHEN MERGING OR FROM A STOP SIGN. I WAS ALMOST INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT ON INTERSTATE 95 WHEN MERGING, INFINITI HAS REPLACED TRANMISSION AND MULTIPLE OTHER PARTS BUT PROBLEM STILL NOT FIXED. THERE IS STILL A VIBRATING METAL NOISE WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE UP HILL AT A SLOW SPEED, NOT ACTUALLY ACCELERATING JUST MAINTAINING THE SPEED. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 23000 MILES ON IT. INFINITI IS REFUSING TO ACCEPT THERE IS AN ISSUE SAYS THERE IS NO SAFETY ISSUE. INFINITI EXECUTIVE OFFICE ADVISED IF IT DOES NOT HAPPEN WHEN THEIR TECHNICIAN DRIVES THE CAR THERE IS NOT ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE EVEN IF IT IS RECORDED. UNFORTUNATELY IT IS A SPORATIC THING AND UNLESS YOU DRIVE IT 500 MILES YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE ANYTHING OCCUR. I HAD 2 MAJOR INCIDENTS WITHIN 500 MILES. INFINITI EXECUTIVE OFFICE ALSO INDICATED THAT THE NUMBER OF REPAIRS DOES NOT WARRANT A BUYBACK OR SELL BACK OPTION EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE 5 TIMES, WHEN ASKED HOW MANY TIME WOULD WARRANT IT THEY ADVISED THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW MY STATES LAWS. I WAS ADVISED TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE TODAY. SAD THEY ARE WILLING TO PUT A FAMILY IN DANGER EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A VERY KNOWN PROBLEM AFTER SEARCHING THE INTERNET.
I EXPERIENCED THE THIRD EPISODE AFTER A COLD START AND TURNING AND ENTERING WITH PLENTY OF TIME INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY OF 50MPH FROM A BOULEVARD. AFTER TURNING I HAD NO ACCELERATION. ENGINE RPM WAS REVVING EXCESSIVELY BUT IF FELT AS THOUGH TRANSMISSION WASN'T SHIFTING. NO POWER. I HAD TO PULL OVER DUE TO SLOW SPEED AND TRAFFIC COMING UP BEHIND ME. VERY DANGEROUS. AFTER I LET UP ON THE ACCELERATOR I FELT THE TRANSMISSION KICK IN. THEN HAD POWER AND FELT UPPER GEARS ENGAGE.
THE TRANSMISSION IS SHUTTERING AROUND 15-25 MPH BOTH WHEN TAKING OFF AND SLOWING DOWN. THIS PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME MY CAR HAS ROLLED WITH MY CHILD INSIDE THE VEHICLE I HAD THE CAR IN MY DRIVEWAY WHICH IS ON A LEVEL GROUND NOT ELEVATED I PUT MY CAR IN PARK AND OPENED THE DOOR BECAUSE I REALIZED I HAD TO RUN INTO THE GARAGE TO CLOSE IT AND THE CAR STARTED ROLLING THIS TIME MY DRIVER DOOR GOT CAUGHT ON THE HOUSE AND NOW I HAVE OVER $3000 IN REPAIRS THE FIRST TIME NO DAMAGE TO MY CAR OTHER THAN MY SON GOING THROUGH EMOTIONAL TRAUMA AND MYSELF TOO . THE CAR ROLLED IN PARK IN MY DRIVEWAY OUT INTO THE ROAD WITH MY SON IN IT . THE CAR STOPPED WHEN IT HIT THE CURB OF THE SIDEWALK

THE TRANSMISSION HAS AN ISSUE WHERE THE VEHICLE SHUDDERS AND JERKS VERY HARD WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING IT. IT HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT ON THE ROAD.
MY CAR GOT FRONT COLLISION PREVENTION AND LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION. RECENTLY CAR INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. MY WIFE SAYS SHE HAD THIS SYSTEM TURNED ON AND AS PER WITNESS, MY WIFE WENT INTO OTHER LANE AND HIT THE ROAD SIGN(WHICH WAS THERE TO DIVERT TRAFFIC). MY CAR WAS HIT AT FRONT CORNER DRIVE SIDE SO I THINK IT MUST HAVE SOME DEFECT WHERE ITS IGNORING CORNERS. IT WAS LOCAL STREET AND ROAD WERE CLEAR AND NO SNOW WERE ON GROUND.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM THE MANUFACTURER ADDRESSING THE CVT ISSUE, BUT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT HONOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
WE HAVE HAD REPEATED ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION FAILING ON THIS VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WILL OFTEN NOT ACCELERATE FROM A STOP OR TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE TRANSMISSION WILL SHUDDER, JERK, AND EMITS A HIGH PITCHED WHINE. WE HAVE NEARLY HAD SEVERAL ACCIDENTS WITH THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE IT CANNOT GET OUT OF THE WAY. THE DEALER REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO AND THE PROBLEMS ARE EVEN WORSE NOW.

WHEN DRIVING AT LOW SPEED, ON A CURVE, OR ON A HILL THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE, WILL STALL, SHUDDER, RATTLE. WILL NOT RESPOND TO EFFORTS OF INCREASING SPEED. THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT WILL SHOW THE AIRBAG IS NOT ENGAGED EVEN IF AN ADULT IS SEATED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT.
2014 QX 60 ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS (DEC 18, 2015 AND JAN 2ND,2016, ROUGHLY 2 WEEKS APART ) THE TOP BOLTS ON THE FRONT BREAK CALIPERS FELL OFF CAUSING THE CALIPER TO TILT OFF THE ROTOR. IN THE FIRST INSTANCE, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL STARTED MAKING SOME GRINDING NOISES WHILE DRIVING, AS IF THE BREAK PADS WERE LOW. THE NOISE STARTED OFF A BEING VERY LIGHT WHEN BREAKING, THEN CONTINUOUS GRINDING. IT WAS NOT UNTIL FURTHER INSPECTION THAT WE REALIZED THAT THE ENTIRE CALIPER FALLEN FORWARD AND WAS RUBBING ONTO THE INTERIOR OF THE WHEEL RIM. WE MADE THE REPAIR AND REPLACED THE BOLT AND ASSUMED IT WAS A FLUKE AND JUST ONE OF THOSE RANDOM THINGS. TWO WEEKS LATER, WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WITH MY FAMILY IN SAN DIEGO, WE STARTED TO HEAR THE SAME NOISE AGAIN. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION WE DISCOVERED THAT THE OTHER FRONT CALIPER HAD ALSO BECOME DISENGAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE NEAREST INIFINTI DEALER FOR INSPECTION. IT WAS A SATURDAY EVENING AND WAS NOT TILL TUESDAY MORNING WHEN THEIR SERVICE DEPT REPLACED THE MISSING BOLT AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE. AFTER THE SECOND INCIDENT, I RESEARCHED THE ISSUE ONLINE TO DISCOVER THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ISSUED ON THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WE EXPERIENCED, WITH THE CALIPER BOLTS NOT BEING TORQUED ON DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. HOWEVER AFTER DISCUSSING WITH THE DEALER AND INFINITI, I WAS TOLD THE RECALL DID NOT INCLUDE THE MANUFACTURING DATE OF MY VEHICLE. IN THE FIRST INSTANCE THE BREAK PADS WERE STILL INTACT WITH THE CALIPER WHEN IT SHIFTED FORWARD OFF THE ROTOR. IN THE SECOND INSTANCE THE BREAK PADS ACTUALLY SLIPPED OFF THE CALIPER. PHOTO ATTACHED.

VEHICLE IS MOVING WHEN PARKED IN INCLINED POSITION. REMOVING THE VEHICLE FROM "PARK" ON A INCLINED ROAD IT IS MOVING FREELY. WE HAVE PARKED ON A INCLINED ROAD AND AS SOON AS I REMOVE IT FROM PARK TO REVERSE IT WENT FORWARD FREELY. I HAVE TO HIT THE GAS FULL, IN ORDER TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE.
