Since the purchase, I have only driven it approximately 6,000 miles and the check engine light has already come on. I took it to the dealership and they stated that both Catalytic Converters need to be replaced. This vehicle is only 6 years old; it should not need both Catalytic Converters replaced. Upon research, I discovered that there was a recall on 11/28/2014 for certain 2014-2015 Infiniti Q80 vehicles. My vehicle was not part of this recall, however, I know it should have been because I believe this is the reason for the Catalytic Converter failures on my car. FIRST I WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT I LOVE MY VEHICLE, HOWEVER IT HAS AN ISSUE WITH STARTING THE ENGINE OCCASSIONALY. IN THE BEGINNING I WAS BLAMING IT ON THE BATTERY, I HAD THAT CHECKED SEVERAL TIME AND ALL SEEMED TO BE OK? AFTER SEVERAL TIMES OF THIS HAPPENING I DECIDED I WAS LOSING CONFIDENCE IN THE TESTING AND I PURCHASED A NEW BATTERY. THAT SEEMED TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM FOR 10 MONTHS, WHEN IT STARTED AGAIN AND HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES SINCE. I HAD A FRIEND JUMP START ME AND I DROVE STAIGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP I HAD PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND BATTERY FROM. IT WAS AGAIN TESTED AND NOTHING SHOWED? I LEFT IT OVER THE WEEKED AND IT WAS CHECKED AND TESTED AGAIN ON MONDAY I PICKED IT UP AFTER WORK AND THEY HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG, THEREFORE I TOOK IT HOME. THIS WAS JULY 27TH AND THIS PAST FRIDAY SEPT.20TH IT HAPPENED AGAIN? I HAD ANOTHER JUMP START DROVE HOME, AS THE DEALERSHIP WAS NOT OPEN. WHEN I GOT TO MY HOUSE I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND TRIED TO START IT AND IT FIRED RIGHT BACK UP? I'M JUST HOPING THERE IS SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT CAN GIVE ME A HINT AT WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY THOUGHTS. THIS HAS ONLY HAPPENED WHEN THE VECHICLE IS IN AN STATIONARY OFF POSITION.
