A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER STATED THAT HE WAS INELIGIBLE FOR A FREE REMEDY SINCE THERE WERE NO RECALLS, AND THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.
PARKING BRAKE FAILURE, DISC NOT AVAILABE AND ENGINE FAILED. ALL THESE INDICATORS CAME ON ONE AFTER THE OTHER AND THE BRAKES WOULD NOT STOP THE CAR, NOR WOULD THE CAR ACCELERATE. THE CAR LEAPED FORWARD AND THEN SLOWED TO A STOP ON ITS OWN. DEALER STATED THEY REPAIRED THE RECALL ITEMS AND COULD NOT STATE WHY THE PROBLEM PERSISTSED IT HAPPENED THREE TIMES, AND THE VEHICLEWAS STILL COVERED BY FULL FACTORY WARRANTY. *AK
CONSUMER RECEIVED MANUFACTURER'S RECALL R167166 CONCERNING ABS BRAKES. HOWEVER, CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER WILL NOT HONOR THE RECALL. ELECTRONIC ABS BRAKE MODULE: WHICH CONTROLLED THE APPLICATOR OF THE PARKING BRAKE. IT MAY BE UNINTENTIONALLY APPLIED TO THE PARKING BRAKE. *AK
