DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, GET TO A LIGHT OR I AM TURNING- THE CAR TURNS OFF FOR NO REASON. THEN I CUT IT OFF THEN START IT BACK UP. IT RUNS FIND. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST WEIRD. THEN HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY TWICE. IT STALLS. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. WHY IS MY STALLING? DO YOU HAVE ANY DATA FOR ME? I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT TO DO. I AM GOING TO RESEARCH MORE AS WELL. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JAGUAR XF. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, A LOUD ABNORMAL NOISE WAS HEARD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AS THE VEHICLE DECELERATED, BUT KEPT OPERATING. THE CONTACT TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE, OPENED THE DOOR, AND NOTICED FLAMES UNDERNEATH THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT. THE CONTACT CALLED LAND ROVER MONMOUTH (807 NJ-35, OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ 07712, (732) 869-2500), BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 102,000. *TT CONSUMER STATED CAR CAUGHT FIRE WHILE HE WAS DRIVING ON 6/18/18; IN THE PASSING THE VEHICLE CEASED TO OPERATE AS DESCRIBED ON PREVIOUS PAGE. AFTER FOUR HOURS, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED BEFORE OR AFTER THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER (JAGUAR HILTON HEAD, 145 DRIVERS WAY, HARDEEVILLE, SC 29927), BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.

I PURCHASED A 2011 XF THE LAST DAY OF JULY 2010. DURING THE TEST DRIVE AND DURING THE FIRST WEEK, THE CAR HESITATES (FEELS LIKE IT IS RUNNING OUT OF GAS) AND THERE APPEARS TO BE GRINDING UNDER THE ACCELERATION PEDAL.
