THE WINDSHIELD OF MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER LIMITED SEEMS TO BE VERY VULNERABLE TO CRACKS. I HAVE HAD 2 ROCKS HIT ME AND HAVE GOTTEN THEM REPAIRED WITHIN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE. IT IS A VERY EXPENSIVE WINDSHIELD TO MAINTAIN; IS THIS A DESIGN FLAW?

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE INDICATOR LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PROCEEDED TO DRIVE AS THE VEHICLE BECAME JERKING WITH HESITATION. THE FOLLOWING DAY WHILE PARKED ON AN INCLINE, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY AND CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WERE THEY STATED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSFER CASE THAT CAN MAKE THE GEARS STICKY AND THAT IS WHY THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE LIGHT CAME ON. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
MY NEW 2006 JEEP COMMANDER NOW SHUTS THE ENGINE OFF AT WILL WHILE DRIVING. I WAS EXITING I-4 ONTO CR579 GOING JUST UNDER 40 MPH WHEN THE STEERING WENT OUT (SO I THOUGHT) ALL GAUGES WERE LIT I ROLLED OFF ONTO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ONCE IN NEUTRAL THE TRUCK RESTARTED. I DROPPED IT AT COURTESY CHRYSLER 3/29 AND WAS INFORMED PRIOR TO INSPECTION THAT THE PROBLEM HAD BEEN SEEN ON THE COMMANDERS AND WAS APPARENTLY PREVALENT ON THE PACIFICA MODEL HOWEVER THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO IF NO CODE CAME UP SO AT THIS POINT I AM EXPECTED TO PICK THE TRUCK UP TELL MY WIFE TO DRIVE AROUND MY CHILDREN AS IF THINGS ARE A OK. SPOKE TO THE SERVICE MANAGER WHO STATED THAT HE IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND HE WOULD CHECK TO SEE IF DC IS WORKING ON ANYTHING TO FIX IT AND IF NOT HE WILL TELL ME(VERY COMFORTING) THE DEALERSHIP IS VERY VERY HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL BUT APPARENTLY JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. *NM
TOOK NEW CAR IN FOR THE FIRST OIL CHANGE. DROVE 30+ MILES AND THE ENGINE DISINTEGRATED REQUIRING A TOTAL ENGINE REPLACEMENT. DEALER DENIES ANY WRONGDOING AND BLAMES IT ON A MANUFACTURING DEFECT FROM CHRYSLER. THIS IS A NEW JEEP COMMANDER 4.7L 2006 VEHICLE. *NM

WELL THE JEEP HAS YET ANOTHER NEW HABIT, MY WIFE TOOK IT INTO TOWN TODAY TO PICK UP SOME DIAPERS FROM THE A+P SUPERMARKET AND PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT AT 3MPH IT DECIDED TO LEAP FORWARD VIOLENTLY ALMOST CAUSING HER TO CRASH INTO THE CAR IN THE SPOT IN FRONT. DCC ARE PICKING UP THE TAB FOR THE RENTAL OF A JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WHILE THIS ONE'S FATE IS DECIDED... TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. WHEN DRIVING UPHILL AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ENGINE SHUTTERS AND STALLS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER AND THEN RESTARTS ON ITS OWN. THERE IS AN OPEN INVESTIGATION (# EA07007) REGARDING THIS FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 16,500 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120.

SATURDAY 25TH FEBRUARY AND GUESS WHAT- YEP THE JEEP HAS A NEW TRICK TO ADD TO IT'S ALREADY GROWING LIST OF ELECTRICAL FAULTS, (ODI#10151913&10148480) PLEASE CAN YOU ADD THE FOLLOWING TO MY LONG LIST OF COMPLAINTS . AT APPROXIMATELY 12.45PM 2/25/06 I WAS PARKED OUTSIDE THE RT44 BRANCH OF THE ULSTER SAVINGS BANK, HAVING JUST GONE IN THERE TO CASH A CHECK, I CAME OUT AND ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, TURNED THE IGNITION KEY- NOTHING, NO LIGHTS ZERO RESPONSE, TRIED AGAIN- STILL NOTHING. I REMOVED THE KEY PUT IT BACK IN THE IGNITION, STILL NOTHING. GOT OUT WALKED AROUND IN DISGUST, GOT BACK IN AND TURNED THE KEY ONCE MORE AND THIS TIME IT FIRED UP FIRST TIME. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED HYDE PARK MOTORS SERVICE DEPT AND SPOKE TO KERRY THERE, I ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYTHING TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT AND HE TOLD ME NO PROVIDING IT DIDN'T TURN THE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT ON, WHICH IT HAD NOT DONE. SPOKE TO PETE THE SERVICE GUY AT HYDE PARK MOTORS IT TURNS OUT THAT THE NOT STARTING WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED ISSUE IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO A FRONT POWER TRAIN MODULE PROBLEM THAT DC ARE AWARE OF.
MANY TIMES WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN INTO TRAFFIC OR A U-TURN THE VEHICLE WITH SHUT DOWN AND LOSE ALL POWER FOR 1-2 SECONDS. YOU CAN PUT YOUR FOOT TO THE FLOOR AND THE JEEP MOVES JUST ENOUGH TO GET YOU INTO AND INTERSECTION THEN LOSES POWER. INSTINCT IS TO PUSH THE THROTTLE ALL THE WAY TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT, BUT THEN AFTER A FEW SECONDS ALL THE POWER COMES BACK AND THE VEHICLE LEAPS AT FULL THROTTLE ALMOST SENDING YOU INTO A SPIN. THIS AS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES, BUT THE DEALER HAS NO FIX. *JB
WINDSHIELD ISN'T SEALED PROPERLY WHICH CAUSES A LOUD WHISTLING NOISE WHILE DRIVING. DEALER COULD NOT FIX PROBLEM. FURTHER MORE, THE SEAL PROBLEM SEEMS TO MAKE THE WINDSHIELD MORE SENSITIVE TO BEING DAMAGED. *TR
COULD YOU ADD THE TO MY JEEP COMPLAINT (ODI#10148480) THE SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT ISSUE IS APPARENTLY A SENSOR THAT DETECTS' NEGATIVE WEIGHT 'IN THE SEAT, SO NOW DCC HAVE INVENTED ARTIFICIAL GRAVITY AS WELL, BUT I'M SHOCKED NOT TO SEE THAT CLAIM IN THEIR MARVELOUS TV ADVERTS- TEE HEE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER 4X2. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 06V037000 (SEAT BELTS), 08V203000 (POWER TRAIN), AND 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE PARTS NEEDED TO DO THE REPAIRS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER AND AFTER BRINGING IT HOME, I CAME ACROSS A DESIGN FLAW THAT HAS BECOME A FAIRLY HUGE PROBLEM FOR MY FAMILY. IT SEEMS AS IF THE HEAD RESTS ON THE SECOND ROW SEATS CANNOT BE REMOVED. THIS POSES A BIG PROBLEM FOR MY FOUR-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER WHO MUST USE A BOOSTER SEAT. IN ORDER FOR THIS BOOSTER SEAT (OR ANY BOOSTER SEAT, FOR THAT MATTER) TO LAY FLAT AGAINST THE BACK OF THE CAR SEAT, THE HEAD REST MUST BE REMOVED. FRANKLY, IN EVERY ONE OF MY PREVIOUS VEHICLES, A HEAD REST COULD BE SELECTIVELY REMOVED BY PRESSING A BUTTON AT THE TOP OF THE SEAT AND SLIDING THE HEAD REST UP AND OUT. THE COMMANDER HEAD RESTS SEEM TO BE FIXED IN PLACE. THEY JUST SEEM TO MOVE FORWARD WHEN YOU FLIP THE SEAT DOWN TO ACCESS THE THIRD ROW. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, THEY ARE FIXED IN A SLIGHTLY FORWARD POSITION, WHICH FORCES THE BOOSTER SEAT TO PITCH FORWARD. I CAN CORRECT THAT SLIGHTLY BY RECLINING THE SEAT BACK, BUT, IN THE COMMANDER, THE SECOND ROW SEAT ONLY SLIGHTLY RECLINES. IN ANY CASE, THE BOOSTER CAN'T BE INSTALLED PROPERLY (OR SAFELY, ACCORDING TO THE MANUAL) BECAUSE IT CAN'T REST AGAINST THE BACK OF THE SEAT DUE TO THE HEAD REST, WHICH PUSHED THE TOP OF THE BOOSTER SEAT FORWARD. AFTER COMPLAINING TO DAIMLER-CHRYSLER, I RECEIVED AN EMAIL SAYING THE INDEED THE HEAD REST CANNOT BE REMOVED OR ADJUSTED. THEY OFFERED NO FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. *NM
WE PURCHASED A 2006 BRAND NEW JEEP COMMANDER FOR SAFETY AND RELIABILITY REASONS. WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING WITH OUR THREE YOUNG DAUGHTERS ON THE HIGHWAY AT SPEEDS OF 70 MPH DURING THE EVENING HOURS THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF AND LOST ALL POWER. MY WIFE AVOIDED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT BY QUICKLY TURNING. SHE LATER RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND DROVE THE ENTIRE TRIP ON THE SERVICE ROAD. THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE TO BOTH MY WIFE AND MYSELF. THE PROBLEM HAS NOW BEEN ID, IT'S THE LOCATION OF THE IGNITION KEY BEING JUST ABOVE THE RIGHT KNEE. WHILE DRIVING THE JEEP CLOSE CAUTION MUST BE EXERCISED WHILE DRIVING NOT TO HIT THE KEY. VERY DANGEROUS AND SERIOUS SITUATION. *JB

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. WHILE STOPPED OR IDLING HE NOTICED THE LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD WOULD DIM AND THE ENGINE WOULD ACT AS IF IT WERE GOING TO STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. HE REPLACED THE BATTERY HIMSELF BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO RECUR. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER AND AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS HE WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO START. THE VEHICLE THEN OPERATED AS NORMAL. IT WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE EXAMINED FOR THE CAUSE OF FAILURE AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 39,848.
I HAVE A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER AND I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM. EVERYTIME I TURN MY VEHICLES, AND SWITCH PEDALS FROM BRAKE TO GAS, MY CAR JUST LOCKS IN PLACE. BASICALLY THE VEHICLE HAS THE SAME PROBLEMS DESCRIBED ON THE CHRYSLER RECALL PRESS RELEASE BUT ON THEIR WEBSITE I CHECKED THE VIN NUMBER AND IT SAYS THAT THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE SEAT BELT AND THE AIR BAG INDICATOR MODULE WERE REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
MY 2006 COMMANDER WITH 40,000 MILES HAS HAD THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS SINCE IT CAME OFF THE LOT. THE VEHICLE STALLS AND I OBVIOUSLY LOSE POWER AND STEERING BUT THERE ARE NO ERROR MESSAGES IN THE COMPUTER, THE 4WD DOES NOT ENGAGE - THE WARNING LIGHT FOR THAT COMES ON BUT THERE'S NO ERROR MESSAGE IN THE COMPUTER. THE WINDOW'S ROLL UP AND DOWN INCORRECTLY - THE GASKET ON THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD HAS BEEN REPLACED AND THE KICKER OF ALL PROBLEMS IS WHEN THE VEHICLE GOES THROUGH A MINOR PUDDLE OF WATER OR THE AUTOMATIC CAR WASH THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS COMPLETELY UNTIL THE WATER IS GONE - TRY DRIVING THAT IN THE RAIN - JEEP WAS FINALLY ABLE TO DUPLICATE THAT PROBLEM BY PUTTING A GARDEN HOSE UNDER THE CAR AND SQUIRTING WATER ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE VEHICLE - THIS PROBLEM APPARENTLY CANNOT BE FIXED AND THEY CAN'T BELIEVE THAT NO OTHER JEEP OWNER'S AREN'T THROWING FITS. SO MUCH FOR THE LEMON LAW - THE STEERING PROBLEM WASN'T TAKEN SERIOUSLY BY THE PREVIOUS JEEP DEALERS -I WENT TO A DIFFERENT DEALER ALTOGETHER HOWEVER, IT'S TOO LATE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING MY NEW 2006 JEEP COMMANDER LIMITED HOME FROM A CHILDREN'S PARTY AT APPROXIMATELY 8:30 PM ON CHRISTMAS EVE AND WAS TRAVELING NORTHBOUND ON THE TACONIC STATE PARKWAY AT 54 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE CUT OUT COMPLETELY(STALL), IT LOST ALL ELECTRICAL POWER, THE HEADLIGHTS AND ALL INTERIOR LIGHTING WENT OUT, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. FORTUNATELY I WAS TRAVELING AT THE TIME ON A STRAIGHT SECTION OF ROAD AND THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS ON THE ROAD. I WENT DOWN AND SWITCHED THE IGNITION KEY TO THE OFF POSITION AND IMMEDIATELY BACK TO THE ON POSITION AND THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND ALL THE LIGHTS CAME BACK ON. MY WIFE WAS SITTING IN THE SECOND ROW OF SEATS WITH OUR 10 MONTH OLD BABY AND SHE WITNESSED EVERYTHING AND CONFIRMS WHAT I EXPERIENCED. A WEEK AGO THE VEHICLE DID THE SAME THING , BUT THIS TIME I WAS STATIONARY IN A LOCAL SHOPPING MALL PARKING LOT, ENGINE CUT OUT AND THE LIGHTS WENT OFF, AND THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY RESTARTED WHEN I TURNED THE KEY. THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AGAIN TODAY WITH MY WIFE DRIVING IT, SHE HAD STOPPED AND LEFT THE ENGINE RUNNING TO RETRIEVE SOMETHING FROM THE FLOOR, AND WHEN SHE WENT TO PULL AWAY THE VEHICLE WAS SHUTDOWN THE DEALERSHIP HAS ORDERED A NEW FRONT POWER TRAIN MODULE FOR THIS VEHICLE, AND THAT WILL BE FITTED TOMORROW MORNING AT 10:30 AM .THIS NOW REPRESENTS THE THIRD SEPARATE CHRYSLER VEHICLE AND SIXTH POWER TRAIN COMPUTER. CHRYSLER DID A BUY BACK' FROM ME IN DECEMEBER 2005 ON MY 2005 DURANGO, WHICH AFTER 6 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP, FROM NEW HAD CUT OUT APPROXIMATELY 7 TIMES . MY PREVIOUS DODGE VEHICLE WAS A 2003, RAM PICKUP WITH THE 5.7 LITER WHICH EXHIBITED ALL THE SAME PROBLEMS , BUT ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT WHEN IT SHUTOFF PULLING ON O A LOCAL PARKWAY. FORTUNATELY, I PULLED THE SHIFTER INTO NEUTRAL AND STEERING ON TO THE SHOULDER, BUT WE WERE ALMOST HIT BY ANOTHER CAR THAT WAS TRAVELING UP THE PARKWAY.*AK
I WAS DRIVING MY NEW 2006 JEEP COMMANDER, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 6 CYL ENGINE. I AM 6'4.25" TALL AND WEIGH 205 LBS. I HAVE PROPORTIONATELY SIZED LIMBS AND APPENDAGES. I WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 35 MPH ON A ROAD NEAR MY HOUSE AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE CAR TURNED OFF. THE KEY WAS BRUSHED BY MY KNEE AND THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY QUIT. THERE IS NO WAY FOR ME TO FIT IN THE SEAT AND PUT THE SEAT FAR ENOUGH BACK THAT THERE IS NO RISK OF THE KEY TURNING OFF WHILE STILL LETTING MY ARMS REACH THE WHEEL. THE KEY PROTRUDES DIRECTLY PERPENDICULARLY OUT OF THE DASH, INTERCEPTING MY KNEE DEAD ON FROM THE FRONT. I HAD DRIVEN THE CAR FOR OVER 100 MILES BEFORE THIS EVER HAPPENED. THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN THIS MORNING. COME TO THINK OF IT, THE NEW JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE THAT MY FRIEND HAS, THIS HAS HAPPENED TOO. THE PLACEMENT OF THE IGNITION SWITCH, COMBINED WITH ITS ANGLE ON THE DASHBOARD AND THE SLIGHTLY LARGE SIZE OF THE KEY FOB MAKE THIS A BIG RISK FOR TALLER DRIVERS LIKE MYSELF. THE KEY ONLY BARELY HAS TO BE GRAZED (I COULD NOT FEEL IT HAPPENING) AND THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF (WHILE IN MOTION!) AND HAS TO BE PUT INTO PARK IN ORDER TO BE RESTARTED. I THINK THAT EVENTUALLY SOMEONE WILL HAVE AN ACCIDENT KEEPING CONTROL OF THEIR CAR WHEN IT UNITENTIONALLY SHUTS OFF ON THEM, NOW IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME 3 TIMES WITHIN ABOUT 200 MILES, AND LIKE I SAID, THERE IS NO PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE WAY FOR ME TO ADJUST THE SEAT SO THAT MY ARMS REACH THE WHEEL AND ME KNEE DOES NOT REACH THE KEY. THIS SEEMS DANGEROUS AND I WANTED TO BRING IT TO YOUR ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY SO THAT CHRYSLER CAN MODIFY THE DESIGN OF EITHER THE KEY FOB OR THE IGNITION SWITCH IN ORDER TO PREVENT PEOPLE FROM CAUSING DAMAGE TO THEMSELVES OR THEIR VEHICLE. PETITION FOR THE CONTINUATION OF A DEFECT INVESTIGATION INTO UNINTENDED ACCELERATION OF THE 2006 JEEP COMMANDER VEHICLE, HER MOTHER WAS KILLED WHILE OPERATING HER 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. *TS *NM
ON DECEMBER 2, 2005, MY MOTHER WAS KILLED IN AN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT IN STANTON, DELAWARE. SHE WAS OPERATING MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER, AND THE INCIDENT WAS CAUSED BY UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. THE DELAWARE STATE POLICE CONTACTED THE OFFICE OF DEFECT INVESTIGATION AS PART OF THEIR INVESTIGATION. 2006 JEEP COMMANDER STALLS OUT AT LOW SPEEDS. CAR SHUTS DOWN, NEED TO PUT ON BRAKE, TURN OFF ENGINE, AND RESTART VEHICLE. HAS BEEN VERY CLOSE CALLS ON BEING REAR ENDED WHEN CROSSING TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND STOP SIGNS. HAS RECURRED 20 TIMES. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE VEHICLE CONSTANTLY STALLS AND ALL OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS FLASH. THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. OCCASIONALLY, THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WHILE IDLING AT A STOP SIGN OR PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE. THE DEALER KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR SEVERAL DAYS, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 29,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DECELERATED AND EXCESSIVE FORCE WAS REQUIRED ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IN ORDER FOR THE VEHCLE TO RESPOND. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000.
ALL 4 OF MY DOOR HANDLES ON THE INSIDE ARE BROKEN. THE ONE IN THE BACK DRIVER SIDE IS COMPLETELY UNUSEABLE. I WORRY ABOUT THE SAFETY OF ANYONE WHO GETS IN MY CAR. THE HANDLES DON'T WORK. ANYONE I'VE EVER SPOKEN TO THAT OWNS ONE OF THESE JEEPS HAS THE SAME ISSUES. THEY ARE JUNK!!!! IT'S ASKING FOR A SPECIFIC DATE AT THE BOTTOM. THEY ALL STARTED BREAKING RANDOMLY AS SOON AS I GOT IT.
My jeep will shut off unexpectedly, it will do a up and down idle increase and decrease while at a idle the abs will lock up my wheel tight to where itll drag while trying to move forward. The 4x4 low will not engage at all says service 4x4

2006 JEEP COMMANDER WITH A RECALL FOR POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE REPROGRAMMING. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION FILTERS. HE ALSO STATES THAT THE REPROGRAMMING DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING THE VEHICLE STILL STALLED. *KB
