HEATER VENT DOES NOT WORK. *TR
I HAVE HAD 3 WINDOW REGULATORS BREAK IN MY 2004 JEEP CHEROKEE. THE REGULATOR ITSELF IS A FAULTY PRODUCT, MADE OF CHEAP PLASTIC INSTEAD OF SOMETHING THAT IS BUILT TO LAST WITH METAL. DAIMLER-CHRYSLER TOOK A MAJOR SHORTCUT TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS AND NOW JEEP OWNERS ARE PAYING FOR IT. EACH WINDOW REGULATOR COSTS ABOUT 277 DOLLARS FROM A JEEP DEALERSHIP, AND THEY CHARGE $500 FOR PARTS AND LABOR TO FIX 1 (ONE) REGULATOR. I'VE HAD 3 FAIL AND REPLACED, SO I'VE PAID $1500 ON A 4 YEAR OLD AMERICAN VEHICLE...ON THE WINDOWS!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE RECALLED, AND JEEP OWNERS SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR ALL EXPENSES, OR HAVE ALL 4 WINDOW REGULATORS REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. *TR
I HAD THE SEAT HEATER ON WHILE DRIVING ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK, AND I NOTICED THAT IT CONTINUED TO GET WARMER AND THEN HOT. IT STARTED IN MY HIP AND THEN WENT TO MY BACK AND CONTINUED TO GET HOTTER. THE HEATER WAS SHUT OFF. WHEN I GOT HOME I FOUND TWO HOLES IN MY LEATHER DRIVER SEAT AND ALSO A BURN HOLE AND SCORCHED AREA ON THE BOTTOM OF MY COAT. I HAD RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE AND HAD GONE TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. THE RECALL WAS F17 - HEATED SEAT ELEMENT. *TR
2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED. BLEND DOORS ARE BROKEN AND DEALER WANTS OVER 2200USD TO REPAIR. THIS SHOULD BE A FACTORY RECALL. THE ORDINARY WORKING CLASS PERSON CANNOT AFFORD THIS REPAIR. BECAUSE THE BLEND DOORS DO NOT OPEN, YOU CANNOT GET HEAT OR AC. CONSEQUENTLY, THERE IS NO DEFROST, MAKING DRIVING EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
DRIVING TO WORK ON THURSDAY MORNING, 2/14/08. ROAD CONDITIONS DAMP BUT NOT SLICK. PULLED INTO PARKING SPOT AND CAR ACCELERATED VERY QUICKLY AND RAN INTO THE BUILDING. I COULDN'T SEEM TO STOP THE CAR. *TR
THE INTERIOR LIGHTS STAYED ON. AND ALL GUAGES ON DASH WERE MOVING IRRATICALLY. AFTER GOOGLE SEARCHING, I FOUND THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE WITH THE 2004 CHEROKEE HAVE PROBLEMS WITH WIRES IN THE DRIVER DOOR BREAKING. WE CHECKED THE WIRES IN THE DRIVER DOOR BOOT AND THE BLACK WIRE WAS BROKE. FIXED THAT PROBLEM. NOW THE WIRES IN BOTH FRONT AND AND REAR DOORS DRIVER AND PASSENGER ARE BROKEN. REAR SPEAKERS DO NOT WORK, WINDOWS DO NOT ROLL DOWN, AND DOORS DO NOT LOCK. SENSOR FOR INTERIOR LIGHT ON REAR PASSENGER DOOR DO NOT WORK. WINDOW IS PARTIALLY DOWN AND NO WAY TO PUT BACK UP. MY DRIVER SEAT IS MAKING A ROCKING MOVEMENT THAT JUST RECENTLY STARTED. THIS IS THE WORST VEHICLE I HAVE OWNED BY FAR. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO REPLACE ALL THAT I HAVE IN A VEHICLE. THIS YEAR AND MODEL JEEP HAS ALOT OF ISSUES THAT CHRYSLER DOESN'T WANT TO AKNOWLEDGE. THEY NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED FURTHER. I JUST CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR JEEP AND THEY SAID THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR MY JEEP, AND THEY HAVE NEVER HAD ANY COMPLAINTS THAT I TOLD THEM ABOUT. DO THEY JUST IGNORE THE CONSUMER OR NOT WANT TO ADMIT THEIR ERRORS IN THIS MODEL. *TR
2004 JEEP WITH 42K MILES- THE BRAKE PEDDLE HAS ONE INCH OF LATERAL MOVEMENT. THE DEALER PLANS TO REPLACE THE PEDDLE ASSY. FOR ABOUT $1,000. MY FOOT HAS SLIPPED OFF THE PEDAL WHEN MY SHOES WERE WET. I AM TOLD THAT IT CAN NOT BE TIGHTEN UP ONLY REPLACED. TO ME THIS SEEMS THE PROBLEM IS IN THE DESIGN ON THE BRAKE LINKAGE, AND NOT DUE TO NORMAL WERE AND TEAR. ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME. *TR

2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED. DEFECTIVE BLEND DOORS, NO DEFROST, AC IFFY, HEAT ONLY AT TIMES. EXPENSIVE REPAIR, FOR NOW LIVING WITH IT. *TR
THIS PASS SUMMER I LOST AIR CONDITIONING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, NOW THIS WINTER I HAVE LOST HEAT AND DEFROST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. JUST TODAY I LOST ALL HEAT AND DEFROST. *TR
FAILURE OF THE HEATING SYSTEM, MAKING VISION OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD DIFFICULT IN POOR WEATHER. TURNED OUT DO BE A MID CASE UNIT (BLEND DOORS) CAME APART, ENTIRE DASH HAD TO BE REMOVED FOR THE REPAIR. FORTUNATELY EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERED REPAIR COST. *TR
SEVERAL DIAGNOSTIC CODES REFERRED TO OXYGEN SENSOR PROBLEMS THAT CAUSED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO GO ON AND OFF ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHICH EVENTUALLY LEAD TO THE VEHICLE MISFIRING, WHICH LEAD TO MULTIPLE DIAGNOSTIC CODES AND LOSS OF POWER, UNBURNED FUEL, AND STALLING. IT WAS LEARNED THAT THE MANUFACTURER PUT THE WRONG OXYGEN SENSOR ON THE VEHICLE, OXYGEN SENSORS WERE INSTALLED WITH INCORRECT PARTS WHICH COULD CAUSE ENGINE TO LOSE POWER OR STALL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH OR FIRE DUE TO UNBURNED FUEL FROM ONE OR MORE CYLINDER MISFIRE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATER DOORS IN HER VEHICLE BROKE WHICH LEFT HER WITH NO HEAT AND NO DEFROSTER. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS PRIOR OR AFTER THE FAILURE OCCURRED. SHE HAS NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER OR SPOKEN WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ON 12/17/2009 BY A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 87,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.
SEAT TRAC AND FRAME FAILED ON 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. *TR
I AM WRITING BECAUSE THE FRONT DRIVESHAFT DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLE IN MY 2004 JEEP FAILED ON JANUARY 4, 2008 AFTER I PUT IT INTO 4 WHEEL DRIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME. I HAD IT SERVICED THE DAY BEFORE AT A GOODYEAR STORE. ON JANUARY 10 THE REPAIR COMPANY DETERMINED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BECAUSE TWO NEW TIRES, PURCHASED FROM AND MOUNTED BY THE SAME GOODYEAR SERVICE COMPANY, HAD BEEN PLACED ON THE FRONT AND TWO OF THE EXISTING TIRES WITH TREAD HAD BEEN PLACED ON THE BACK PER GOODYEAR'S INSTRUCTIONS. THE TWO EXISTING TIRES WERE LOWER IN TREAD THAN THE NEW TIRES BY ABOUT AN 1/2 TO 1 INCH AND THEY SAID THIS CAUSED THE FAILURE. I CHECKED THIS WITH A LOCAL JEEP DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN AND THAT THE TIRE COMPANY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE TIRE COMPANY THAT MOUNTED THE TIRES ON DECEMBER 1 AND ALSO DID THE SERVICE, THEY SAID THEY DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS POTENTIAL PROBLEM AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE PURCHASED FOUR TIRES FROM THEM. THE TIRE PEOPLE HAD GIVEN A PRICE ON FOUR TIRES BUT SAID THAT THERE WAS ENOUGH TREAD ON THE TWO FRONT TIRES TO CONTINUE TO USE THEM FOR A FEW MONTHS. THEY DECIDED TO MOVE TWO FRONT TIRES TO BACK AND PUT THE TWO NEW TIRES ON THE FRONT. THE MECHANICS SAID THAT THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY USING THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WITH THESE TIRES. THERE IS NOTHING ABOUT HIS IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL; IT SAYS "PROPER OPERATION OF FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES DEPENDS ON TIRES OF EQUAL SIZE, TYPE AND CIRCUMFERENCE ON EACH WHEEL. ANY DIFFERENCE WILL ADVERSELY AFFECT SHIFTING AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TRANSFER CASE." ALL TIRES MEET THIS. JEEP/CHRYSLER SAID THE CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND EVEN THOUGHT JEEP NEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM; THEY SAID THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING IT OR PROVIDING INFORMATION TO THEIR CUSTOMERS ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THE HEATER IN MY 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE HAS STOPPED WORKING. TURNS OUT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH GRAND CHEROKEES. THE BLEND DOORS BREAK BECAUSE OF DEFECTIVE PLASTIC STOP PINS. DAIMER CHRYSLER NOW WANTS TO CHARGE OVER $1,200 TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE, EVEN THOUGH IT CLEARLY IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT.*CN
2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WITH DEFECTIVE HEAT AND COOLING SYSTEM. CONSUMER STATES THAT AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES THE HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IS REPLACED BY COLD AIR. HE STATES THE VEHICLE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO KEEP FREE OF ICE WITH THIS FAILURE. *KB THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND ORDERED THE REPLACEMENT PARTS. *JB

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEATED SEAT BURNED HER AND LEFT TWO BURN MARKS THROUGH THE LEATHER SEATS. SHE NOTICED THE DEFECT WHEN HOT SPOTS BEGAN TO COME THROUGH THE SEAT. SHE HAS UNKNOWINGLY BEEN BURNED FIVE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT OFFERED ANY ASSISTANCE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR HER VIN NUMBER; HOWEVER, THERE IS A NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06V197000 (SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:SEAT HEATER/COOLER). THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 38,000. UPDATED 02-19-08 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED AT THE SAME TIME THERE WAS A COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE HEATING SYSTEM INCLUDING THE DEFROSTER. CAUSING HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. UPDATED 02/19/08 *TR
HEATER AND AIR CONDITIONER DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. MAY BLOW HEAT ON ONE SIDE AND COOL AIR ON THE OTHER SIDE WHEN THE A/C IS ON. MAY NEED TO TURN ALL THE UP TO 86 BEFORE HEAT WILL COME OUT IN THE WINTER. WILL SOMETIMES CORRECT ITSELF IF CAR IS TURNED OFF AND LET SIT FOR A PERIOD OF TIME. *TR
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM, BUT THE BLEND AIR DOOR ON MY 2004 JEEP CHEROKEE IS BROKEN AND ONLY BLOWS COLD AIR. THE AIR DOES DEFROST THE WINDOW OR HEAT THE CABIN. THIS COULD LEAD TO A DRIVING PROBLEM IF THE WINDOWS FOG UP WHILE DRIVING. *TR
2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WAS DAMAGED BY A FIRE DUE TO THE SAFETY RECALL F17. *NJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE DAY HE PICKED THE VEHICLE UP, THE SEATS WERE STILL NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY DUE TO THE FIRE DAMAGE TO THE WIRING AND MODULE. THE DRIVERS SEAT WAS NOT REASSEMBLED CORRECTLY AND THE LUMBAR SUPPORT HIT THE CONSUMER IN THE CENTER OF HIS BACK. AFTER A CLOSE EXAMINATION AT A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP, THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE THE PASSENGER SEAT RECALL WAS EVER ADDRESSED. THE FOLLOWING MORNING, THE BATTERY WAS DEAD, THE PARKING AND SIGNAL LIGHTS CONTINUED TO BURN OUT AND PERIODICALLY THE DASH LIGHTS AND POWER WINDOWS DID NOT WORK. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT BOTH SEATS HAD ADDITIONAL FIRES AND INTERNAL HEAT DAMAGE. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT ELECTRIC HEATER ELEMENT OVERHEATED. SHE TURNED THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE TO LOW HOWEVER, THE TEMPERATURE CONTINUED TO RISE. IN ADDITION, SHE NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT THEN FLAMES ERUPTED. SHE WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE BUT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE. THERE WAS RECALL REPAIR WORK PERFORMED IN 2006 FOR THE SEATS: FRONT ASSEMBLY: SEAT HEATER/COOLER (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID # 06V197000). THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 41,600. THE BLENDER DOORS ON MY 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE'S VENTILATION SYSTEM FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. I CAN ONLY GET AIR FLOW FROM THE WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER VENT. THIS MAKES IF DIFFICULT TO WARM UP THE VEHICLE IN THE WINTER. ACCORDING TO MY RESEARCH ON THE WEB, THIS TYPE OF FAILURE IS RIDICULOUSLY COMMON ON THIS JEEP MODEL. I HAVE SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THE PROBLEM FIXED, BUT MY DEALER HAS ALREADY WARNED ME THAT THE REPAIR COSTS WILL BE AT LEAST $500 OR MORE. THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THEY HAD ALREADY PERFORMED THE SAME REPAIR ON 2 OTHER JEEPS THIS WINTER. ONCE REPAIRED, THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN. CHRYSLER SHOULD RECALL THE AFFECTED VEHICLES AND COME UP WITH A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE VEHICLE SHIFTED OUT OF PARK AUTOMATICALLY AND WAS HEADED IN REVERSE TOWARDS THE CONTACT. THE VEHICLE PINNED HER AGAINST THE MAILBOXES. SHE SUSTAINED A BADLY BRUISED RIGHT HIP AND RIGHT ARM AND PULLED A MUSCLE IN HER BACK. SHE WENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS DAMAGED. THE VIN, ENGINE SIZE, AND SPEED WERE UNKNOWN. DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER SYSTEM:WINDSHIELD:BLOWER- BLOWS COLD AIR FROM PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE. I HAVE THE DUAL ZONE AUTOMATIC HEATING UNIT IN A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED. THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE WHOLE UNIT AND IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY I PURCHASED FOR THE VEHICLE. *TR
BOTH 2004 JEEP CHEROKEE SPECIAL EDITIONS WERE PURCHASED THE SAME DAY AT THE SAME DEALER, BOTH IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS HAVE NEED THE WINDOW REGULATOR REPLACED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. *TR
CLIMATE CONTROL STARTED BLOWING NOTHING BUT COLD AIR OUT THE PASSENGER SIDE VENTS. NOT WARNING PRECEDED THE FAILURE. I JUST GOT A COMPLAINT FROM A PASSENGER THAT THEY WERE FREEZING ONE DAY. RESEARCH LEAD ME TO FIND IT IS A POORLY DESIGNED BLEND DOOR IN THE HVAC SYSTEM OF WJ GRAND CHEROKEES. A QUOTE OF OVER $1000 TO FIX A CARDBOARD PART! *TR
2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 6CYL ....CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, BROUGHT TO DEALER SERVICE STATION. THEY INDICATED IT WAS A SENSOR WHICH THEY REPLACED. TWO DAYS LATER LIGHT IS BACK ON, RETURNED BACK TO STATION THIS TIME IT WAS THE COMPUTER. COMPUTER WAS REPLACED ONE WEEK LATER ENGINE LIGHT BACK ON. THIS TIME THE PROBLEM IS THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT HARNESS WHICH MELTED TOGETHER. CALLED CHRYSLER THEY REFUSE TO ASSIST ME WITH THIS PROBLEM, THIS TYPE OF REPAIR IS ESTIMATED AT OVER $2,000.00. *TR
WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH ON INTERSTATE 45N, WE HEARD A LOUD "POP", ALMOST LIKE A TIRE EXPLODING. THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW COLLAPSED INSIDE THE DOOR, THE NOISE AND CHANGE IN THE ENVIRONMENT CAUSED THE DRIVER, MY SPOUSE, TO SNAP HER HEAD IN THE DIRECTION OF THE WIND AND NOISE. SHE HAS PAIN IN HER NECK FROM TURNING SO QUICKLY. REALIZING WE WERE NOT BEING HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE, SHE LOOKED BACK TO THE ROAD AHEAD WHERE HER ATTENTION SHOULD HAVE BEEN, ONLY TO REALIZE SHE HAD SECONDS TO AVOID RUNNING OFF THE ROAD. WHEN WE PULLED OVER TO INSPECT WHAT WAS HAPPENING, OUR LITTLE DOG JUMPED OUT THE WINDOW ONTO INTERSTATE 45. THANK GOD WE WERE ABLE TO GET HER TO SAFETY BEFORE THE DAY GOT WORSE. WE CALLED OUR LOCAL DEALER WHOM WE PAID A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF "CASH" FOR THE 2004 JEEP CHEROKEE SPECIAL EDITION, THEY ADVISED US IT WOULD COST $75 TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, MOST LIKELY THE WINDOWS REGULATOR, $250 DOLLARS FOR THE PART AND $150 FOR THE REGULATOR. I ASKED ABOUT THE VEHICLES WARRANTY AND WAS ADVISED IT WAS ONLY 3 YEARS. NOT SURE WHAT A WINDOW REGULATOR WAS, I SEARCHED THE INTERNET, TO LEARN THAT THOUSANDS OF JEEP OWNERS HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE DURING THE FIRST FEW YEARS OF OWNERSHIP. IT APPEARS THERE IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THESE WINDOW REGULATORS AND THE ISSUE IS BEING IGNORED BY THE MANUFACTURER. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CONDITION AND WE ARE FORTUNATE IT DID NOT RESULT IN A MAJOR INCIDENT. THE DESIGN AND/OR MECHANISMS NEED TO CHANGE TO IMPROVE THE SAFETY OF THOSE NAVIGATING IN A CHRYSLER JEEP PRODUCT. BI SHARED MY CONCERNS WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT THE SUV. JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED 2004- HEAT NOT WORKING PROPERLY DUE TO BLEND DOOR MISFUNCTIONING. SPENT $1200 AT JEEP/CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP TO FIX AND LESS THAN ONE WINTER LATER IT IS BROKEN AGAIN. EVEN REPLACED ALL PARTS T-WORKING AND NON WORKING PARTS. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH JEEP AND THIS SHOULD BE MADE A RECALL. DEALER STATES IT IS LIKELY A BLENDER DOOR PROBLEM, BUT WILL NOT FIX UNDER MY BUMPER TO BUMPER EXTENDED CHRYSLER WARRANTY UNTIL THE PROBLEM PRESENTS ITSELF IN THE DEALERS POSSESSION. I HAVE A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE AND THE PASSENGER SIDE HEATER OUTPUT WENT TO 'FULL COLD'. TOOK TO DEALER AND WAS TOLD 'HVAC DOOR REPLACEMENT' WAS NECESSARY AT ABOUT $1200.00 COST TO ME. APPARENTLY A PIN HAD BROKEN OFF WHERE THE ACTUATOR ATTACHES TO THE HEATER DOOR. ENTIRE DASH ASSEMBLY HAD TO BE REMOVED, ALSO AIR CONDITIONER GAS HAD TO REMOVED AND REPLACED. *TR
2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE-DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW REGULATOR BROKEN IN SEPTEMBER. IT COST $260 TO REPLACE. YESTERDAY (NOVEMBER 25TH), PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW FELL. WILL COST A COUPLE HUNDRED MORE TO REPLACE THE SECOND WINDOW. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, IT CONTINUED TO DRIVE FORWARD. THE VEHICLE STOPPED WHEN IT STRUCK A TREE WHILE THE GEAR WAS STILL IN PARK. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE HAS SEVERE DAMAGE, ESTIMATING APPROXIMATELY $4,000 IN REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY IN THE REPAIR SHOP. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED ARM INJURIES FROM BEING STUCK IN THE SEAT BELT AND THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER HER RIGHT LEG AND FACE. THE VEHICLE ALSO RAN OVER A DOG. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 35,000.
I HAVE HAD THE BRAKE PADS REPLACED THREE TIMES IN LESS THAN 4 YEARS WITH ONLY 30,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE; THEY PULSATE WHEN APPLIED. I AM AFRAID THEY MAY NOT GRIP SOMETIMES AND MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. *TR

AFTER OWNING THE CAR FOR A YEAR THE PASSENGER'S SIDE HEAT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. WE TOOK IT IN TO GET IT DIAGNOSED. THEY TOLD US IT WAS THE BLEND DOOR AND THEY ESTIMATED $500 PLUS. THE MECHANIC SAID THIS WASN'T THE FIRST TIME HE'D SEEN THIS, THAT'S HOW HE WAS SO EASILY ABLE TO DIAGNOSE IT AS A BLEND DOOR PROBLEM. *TR

THE BLEND DOOR AND RECIRC DOOR IS BROKEN AND I HAVE HEARD OF SEVERAL CASES OF THIS HAPPENING TO OTHER OWNERS. I OWN A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED......I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR THE SEAT HEATER RECALL AND SINCE THEN I HAVE TERRIBLE PROBLEMS WITH THE SUDDEN ACCELERATION OF THE CAR....(700RPMS TO 1800) I CONSTANTLY HAVE TO PUSH THE BRAKE DOWN AND BE VERY CONSCIOUS OF KEEPING MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THEN CAME ON WITH A P0505 CODE. AIR INTAKE SENSOR. WELL A NEW ONE WAS PUT IN AND THE PROBLEM WAS NOT RESOLVED. THE MECHANIC COULD NOT CONTROL THE IDLE EVEN WITH THE DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER ATTACHED TO IT. IT WAS FOUND THAT TWO WIRES ON THE WIRING HARNESS WERE SHORTING OUT AND MELTING......THEN AFTER DRIVING APPROX 1200 MILES THE IDLE STARTS JUMPING AGAIN.....THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON ABOUT TWO DAYS LATER......THEN WITHIN THE SAME DAY THE IDLE CALMS DOWN AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES OFF. I HAVE PAID LOTS OF MONEY TO HAVE THIS REPAIRED.....I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A SHORT SOMEWHERE FROM THE SEAT HEATER RECALL SINCE THE CAR DID NOT DO THIS PRIOR TO HAVING THE DEALERSHIP FIX THE SEAT HEATER WITH THE RECALL. I REALLY LIKE MY CAR WHEN THE IDLE IS RIGHT ........I AM NOT COMFORTABLE HAVING ANYONE ELSE DRIVE IT DUE TO THIS ISSUE AND DO NOT ALWAYS FEEL SAFE WHEN THE ACCELERATION GOES WILD.....PLEASE HELP.....THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED QUICKLY BEFORE OTHER PEOPLE GET HURT OR KILLED. *TR

DOES YOUR DASHBOARD HAVE A LOUD CREAKING SOUND COMING FROM ITS UNDERSIDE WHEN YOU TURN ON YOUR VENTILATION? IS THERE CREAKING FROM THE DASH SECONDS AFTER SHUTTING THE ENGINE OFF? ARE THERE STRANGE NUMBERS POPPING-UP ON YOUR CLIMATE CONTROL DISPLAY? DOES COLD IR BLOW FROM ONE SIDE OF THE DASH EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE THE HEAT TURNED ON? YOUR VENTILATION SYSTEM MAY HAVE FAILED, OR, MAY BE IN THE PROCESS OF FAILING. YES TO ALL OF THE AFOREMENTIONED. HOW IN GOD'S NAME HAS THIS NOT TURNED INTO A MAJOR LEGAL DISPUTE?!
