EVERY TIME I CONTACT MY LOCAL DEALER, THEY TELL ME THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE...I NOW HAVE NO FAITH THAT THIS WILL EVER BE RESOLVED. HELP!

BOTH AIRBAGS DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING NORTHBOUND ON INTERSTATE 95, NO CRASH INVOLVED, THEY JUST SUDDENLY DEPLOYED. PASSENGER SUSTAINED INJURIES (SCRATCHES, BRUISES, ETC), WHICH DID NOT REQUIRE PARAMEDICS ATTENTION; HOWEVER, HE IS STILL COMPLAINING HIS RIGHT KNEE IS A BIT NUMB. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,000.
STEERING BECOMES HARD WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN AT LOW PARKING SPEEDS. PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT BUT HAS CAUSED NEAR LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. *JS

AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE RECALL REMEDY WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.

THE CONTACT WAS NOT ABLE TO SECURE THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE SEATBELT DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. MY 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO WAS ACTING LIKE THE DOOR WAS OPEN (OVERHEAD COMPUTER WARNING DRIVER DOOR OPEN AND INTERIOR LIGHTS WOULD NOT GO OUT), BUT WAS VISIBLY/PHYSICALLY CLOSED. THE WINDOWS, DOOR LOCKS AND MIRROR CONTROLS WERE NOT WORKING. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION OF THE MAIN WIRES COMING IN FROM THE BODY OF THE JEEP INTO THE DOOR, (DOOR JAM/BLACK BOOT) IT WAS CLEAR WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THERE WAS A BLACK SEVERED WIRE AND A PARTIAL SEVERED ORANGE/WHITE WIRE. THERE WAS NO CLEAR SOLUTION WHY THIS HAS HAPPENED. THERE HAS BEEN MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THIS BEING A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE WIRING HARNESS. THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED AS IT IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT AND IS COSTING PEOPLE A LOT OF MONEY TO FIX. *TR
HAVING PROBLEM WITH THE TRUCK ACTING LIKE IT'S GOING TO OVER HEAT ALREADY REPLACED WATERPUMP THERMOSTAT AND NEW ANTIFREEZE NEW O2 SENSORS IT ONLY HAS 102,500 MILES. *TR

I'VE ALWAYS HAD TROUBLE WITH MY 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. ESPECIALLY WITH THE FUEL SYSTEM AND FUEL PUMP. I'VE HAD TO REPLACE MY FUEL PUMP 3-4 TIMES. NOW ITS READING THE RPM EXTREMELY HIGH. I'VE ALSO HAD TO REPLACE MY JEEP'S COMPUTER BECAUSE I WAS TOLD THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. IT SEEMS THERE'S ALSO ELECTRICAL ISSUES. I STILL CAN'T FIND THE EXACT PROBLEM.
PURCHASED AND INSTALLED 4 NEW GOODYEAR WRANGLERS IN SEPTEMBER AT TOWN FAIR TIRE. WHILE MY SON WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER TIRE CAME OFF OF THE RIM CAUSING LOSS OF STEERING WHICH RESULTED THE VEHICLE HITTING A UTILITY POLE AND GOING OFF ROAD AND HITTING A STONE WALL, WENT TO TOWN FAIR AND WAS ASKED WHAT DO YOU WANT US TO DO ABOUT IT MANAGER DIDN'T SEEM TO INCLINED TO HELP US. *TR
I BOUGHT MY VEHICLE IN DECEMBER AT ONE OF YOUR DEALERSHIPS AND WHEN I TEST DROVE IT I TOLD MY SALESMAN THAT IS SWAYED IN THE BACK END AND HE SAID I JUST HAVE TO GET USED TO IT CAUSE I'M USED TO A CAR. THIS PROBLEM HAS GOTTEN WORSE AND I HAD IT LOOKED AT AND THE BALL JOINT IS ABOUT TO FALL OUT AND THE REAR TENSION BARS AND PARTS ARE BROKE AND HAVE BEEN SINCE I PURCHASED IT. THIS IS UNSAFE AND I HAVE MY CHILDREN IN THIS CAR. IT HAS EVEN RUINED MY TIRES ESPECIALLY THE PASSENGERS BACK ONE. THE DEALERSHIP LOOKED AT IT AND SAID IT WILL BE OVER 1,000 TO FIX AND THEY WILL ONLY COVER 220 OF THE COST AND I PAY THE REST. I PAID OVER 7,000 FOR THE JEEP AND I FEEL IT'S THEIR JOB TO FIX IT ALL. IF NOT I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCT AGAIN. THIS MOTION IS ENOUGH TO PULL ME ALL OVER THE ROAD IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A POWER LOSS EXCEPT FOR THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL MY SPEED AND LOST POWER STEERING. AFTER 5 SECONDS, WHILE COASTING TO A STOP, THE VEHICLE RESUMED FULL POWER. SINCE THE FIRST OCCURRENCE, IT HAS BECOME MORE FREQUENT (UP TO TWICE A WEEK). IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START RANDOMLY AND REQUIRES A FEW MINUTES WAIT TIME BEFORE A SUCCESSFUL START. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
MY CAR KEEPS CUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING. IT HAS DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES ON HIGHWAY, RURAL ROADS AND MAIN ROADS. IT HAS CAUSED ME TO ALMOST HAVE SEVERAL WRECKS. WHEN THE CAR CUTS OFF, I LOSE ALL POWER. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED SEVERAL TIMES. I HAVE HAD TO WALK BACK HOME OR GET SOMEONE TO COME GET ME IF IT WAS FURTHER AWAY. I HAVE HAD TO USE SOMEONE CAR BECAUSE I AM AFRAID IT WILL DO IT AND I WILL WRECK MY BROTHER-IN-LAW WAS KILLED IN A SIMILAR ACCIDENT. AFTER A WHILE THE VEHICLE WILL START AGAIN, BUT DOES THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN. IT STARTED OFF ABOUT 1 MONTH AFTER I PURCHASED IT, WHEN I WOULD JUST CRANK THE CAR AND THE FIRST TIME IT WOULD NOT CRANK BUT THE 2ND TIME IT WOULD. IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS IT HAS BECOME MORE FREQUENT OCCURANCE. WHEN I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL TO SEE IF IT WILL CRANK. IT DOES AND THEN I PUT IN DRIVE. IT CUTS OFF AGAIN. I HAVE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE AND SOMETIMES IF YOU ARE GOING ON THE HIGHWAY AT THE SPEED AND YOUR CAR CUTS OFF, YOU LOSE POWER AND COULD EASY WRECK. IF I WAS TO PULL OUT AND IT CUT OFF, I COULD BE HIT AND KILLED OR A FAMILY MEMBER IN THE CAR WITH ME. I WAS STRANDED RECENTLY, A GENTLEMAN CAME OVER AND BROUGHT SOME EQUIPMENT WHEN I TOLD HIM WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT COULD BE EITHER THE CRANK SHAFT SENSOR OR CAMSHAFT SENSOR THAT IS BAD. HE ALSO SAID THERE COULD BE A RECALL ON SOME VEHICLES OF THAT MODEL YEAR.
I'VE HAD PROBLEMS ON AND OFF WITH THE POWER WINDOWS, DOOR LOCKS, INTERIOR LIGHTS AND STEREO SYSTEM. THE POWER WINDOWS/DOOR LOCKS DO NOT WORK. UNLESS I TURN THE INTERIOR DIMMER LIGHT SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION, THE LIGHTS STAY ON. WHEN THIS IS DONE, I CANNOT SEE THE DISPLAYS (I.E., SPEED, ETC.). THE STEREO SYSTEM WILL PLAY AND THE CD PLAYER WORKS; HOWEVER, I CANNOT SEE THE DISPLAY AT ALL --- CHANNELS, TRACK #S, ETC. ALL OF THESE ISSUES, EXCEPT THE STEREO SYSTEM, CREATE DRIVING HAZARDS.

THE 1999-2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SEAT TRACK HAS A WEAK POINT ON THE REAR SCISSOR ASSEMBLY. WHEN YOU START TO NOTICE A WOBBLE OR CLICK IT MEANS ONE OF THE TINY CONNECTING PIECES HAS BROKEN. EVENTUALLY THE OTHER SIDE WILL ALSO BREAK ALLOWING YOU TO LIFT THE ENTIRE SEAT UP. THE SEAT BRACKET THAT CONNECTS THE SEAT TO THE FLOOR OF THE JEEP CRACKED. I STARTED TO DO RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS A VERY COMMON ISSUE AND HAVE CAUSED MANY ACCIDENTS. I HAVE LOOKED INTO GETTING THE ISSUE FIXED AND FOUND IT TO BE VERY DIFFICULT. I HAVE FOUND TWO WEB SITES THAT LIST COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER PEOPLE THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO. I REALLY FEEL THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. DRIVER SIDE ELECTRIC ADJUSTABLE SEAT BRACKET BROKE, MAKING THE SEAT WOBBLE AND ROCK FROM SIDE TO SIDE AND BACK AND FORTH. IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS ADDING STRESS TO THE OTHER CONNECTING POINTS ON THE BRACKET AND WILL EVENTUALLY RENDER THE SEAT INOPERABLE. THE BROKEN SEAT BRACKET IS A HAZARD TO SAFE DRIVING. *TR
THIS VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A MAJOR ROLL OFF A CLIFF, LANDING ON FRONT END ROLLING SEVERAL TIMES THEN ROLLED SIDE OVER SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. THE AIRBAGS ON BOTH SIDES FAILED TO DEPLOY DURING THIS ACCIDENT. THE DRIVER HAD MULTIPLE BRUISES AND CUTS AROUND HEAD, NECK AND ARMS. HAVE REPLACED THE ENTIRE REAR TAIL LIGHTS DUE TO THE LIGHTS NOT ILLUMINATING WHEN BRAKE IS PRESSED. THE MECHANIC INDICATED HE SEE'S THIS ALL THE TIME WITH THE JEEP CHEROKEE'S. THERE IS A PROBLEM. I DROVE AROUND ALL DAY NOT KNOWING I HAD NO BRAKE LIGHTS. THIS IS A PROBLEM EVEN AFTER REPLACING I HAD TO RETURN TO HAVE IT FIXED AGAIN. THIS NEED TO BE LOOKED AT.
