2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO WITH 3.7 LITER MOTOR SHOWS ALL FOUR GEARS PARK NEUTRAL REVERSE AND DRIVE "PRND" ACTIVE AT THE SAME TIME AND THE CHECK ENGINE OBDII CODE U0103 (CAN BUS COMMUNICATION LOST WITH THE SHIFTER). THIS CONDITION REOCCURS EVERY 1 TO 7 DAYS APPROXIMATELY. WHILE IN THIS MODE THE VEHICLE IS IN LIMP MODE STUCK IN 2ND GEAR. I TRIED TO DRIVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE WITH THIS CONDITION ON BACK ROADS BUT IT WILL CLEAR AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 5 MILES IN LIMP MODE. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE JEEP DEALERSHIP WITH THIS CONDITION PRESENT. IT CLEARED WHILE THEY WERE TRYING TO DIAGNOSE PROBLEM AND THEY COULDN'T GET IT TO REPEAT WHILE DRIVING IT WITH MY PERMISSION FOR THREE WEEKS. THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. I GOT MY VEHICLE BACK AFTER THREE WEEKS AT DEALESHIP AND PROBLEM REOCCURRED AFTER TWO DAYS OF DRIVING. TRYING TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE IN LIMP MODE IS VERY DANGEROUS AS YOU CANNOT EXCEED ABOUT 30 MILES PER HOUR CAUSING DANGEROUS CONDITIONS TO MYSELF AND OTHER DRIVERS ON ROADS WITH SPEED LIMITS HIGHER THAN 30 MPH. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND THE DEALERSHIP CAN'T DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. IN THE MEANTIME I AM STUCK WITH A VERY UNSAFE VEHICLE
MY JEEP 5.7L V8 WAS UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY AND WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR RECALL ON IGNITION AND COMPUTER FLASH FOR RECEIVER. WHILE THERE I ASKED THEM TO CHECK THE TICKING NOISE COMING FROM MY MOTOR. I WAS ADVISED THIS WAS NORMAL FOR THIS MOTOR AND MILEAGE(88,000). THIS TICK KEEPS GETTING WORSE AND I SEE MOST 5.7S UP TO NOW STILL HAVE IT ,BEFORE THE LIFTERS RUIN A CRANKSHAFT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE IGNITION SWITCH MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT COULD NOT SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
ALL FOUR INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAVE CRACKED AND BROKEN FROM REGULAR WEAR. REAR PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOW ONLY OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. I HAVE SPOKEN TO SEVERAL OTHER JEEP CHEROKEE 2005-2006 OWNERS WHO HAVE HAD THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPEN.
CLICKING IN DASHBOARD UPON START OF VEHICLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 MINUTES STRAIGHT. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE ARE MANY OTHER JEEP OWNERS DEALING WITH THE SAME ISSUE. IT COMES FROM THE HEATER FAN AREA. I WAS TOLD BY A MECHANIC "ITS WORKING NOW, ITS GOING TO BE EXPENSIVE WHEN IT GOES, AS IT'S LIKE $1000.00 TO TAKE THE DASH OFF".

AFTERWARDS, THE GEAR SELECTOR ILLUMINATED ALL OF THE GEAR OPTIONS AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE FAILURE CODES WERE READ AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF A RECALL DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V240000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,517.
VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING, WITH 4 ATTEMPTS BY THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE, VEHICLE CONTINUES TO SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. *TR
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE IT SLIPS INTO GEAR 3 BY ITSELF AND WHEN I ATTEMPT TO ACCELERATE ITS IN LIMP MODE. I ALWAYS HAVE TO PULL TO THE SIDE AND SHUT THE VEHICLE ON AND RESTART IT SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE IT ACTUALLY SHIFT THE ( D ) DRIVE.
TAKATA RECALL, MY CAR SHIFTS TO NEUTRAL WHENEVER I'M DRIVING IT
THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON CHRYSLER SAYS THEY NEED TO BE FIXED AND DO NOT WORK ALSO THE BACKING OF THE DOOR HANDLES HAVE ALL CRACKED AND BROKE THE DOORS DO NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE DUE TO THE BACKING THAT HOLDS THE DOOR HANDLES TOGETHER HAVE ALL CRACKED AND BROKE.
ALL OF OUR INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAVE CRACKED AND THE DRIVERS SIDE NO LONGER WORKS. EACH IS CRACKING IN THE SAME WAY LEADING ME TO BELIEVE IT IS AN ENGINEERING PROBLEM NOT JUST A REGULAR USE PROBLEM. WE CAN NO LONGER GET IN OR OUT OF THE VEHICLE FROM THE DRIVERS POSITIION.
ALL 4 INTERIOR DOOR OPENING HANDLES BREAKING/FAILING: 1 REAR DOOR TOTALLY INOPERABLE. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE ' IF HANDLES BREAK OR ARE INOPERABLE IN CERTAIN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS, PASSENGERS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH! MANUFACTURER CHARGE TO REPLACE/REPAIR HANDLES IS PROHIBITIVELY EXPENSIVE
MY JEEP WAS IN A REALLY BAD ACCIDENT AND THE FRONT END WAS TOTALLY BASHED IN AND NONE OF THE AIR BAGS CAME OUT. THE JEEP IS A COMPLETE TOTAL AND THE AIR BAGS ARE STILL NOT DEPLOYED. HAVE YOU HAD ANY OTHER COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS YEAR AND TYPE OF VEHICLE? IT WAS IN MOTION AND RAN INTO A HUGE AREA WITH SEVERAL LARGE SIGNS.
ON 04/23/2016 I TOOK MY VEHICLE FOR A RECALL, P41 / NHTSA 14V-438 TODAY IS 7/10/2016 AND THE VEHICLE HAS DONE THE SAME THING TWICE, ALL OF A SUDDEN ALL THE LIGHTS IN THE DASH BOARD GO ON I LOOSE POWER AND AFTER A WHILE IT STARTS UP AGAIN. LIKE I SAID BEFORE THIS HAS HAPPEN TWICE NOW I LOST MY CRUISE CONTROL AND A SERVICE ELECTRICAL BRAKE SYSTEM IS COMING ON AND ENGINE LIGHT. I FEAR THAT THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT ONE DAY AND THERE FOR I HAVE BEEN USING ONLY SECONDARY ROADS THAT DON'T HAVE MUCH TRAFFIC.
INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY HAS CRACKED ON ALL 4 DOORS (HANDLE HAS COMPLETELY FALLEN OFF ON RIGHT REAR PASSENGER DOOR) AND HANDLES ARE NOW INOPERABLE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY HAZAARD. DRIVER AND PASSENGERS ARE UNABLE TO OPEN DOORS FROM THE INSIDE. IF IN AN ACCIDENT THERE WOULD BE NO WAY FOR THE OCCUPANTS OF THIS VEHICLE TO EASILY EXIT. JEEP/CHRYSLER DOES NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM ON THIS VEHICLE. THE ONLY OPTION AVAILABLE IS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE INTERIOR DOOR PANEL WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY $700+ PER DOOR. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD. JEEP/CHRYSLER NEEDS TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES AND FIX THIS ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED BECAUSE THEY ARE TRAPPED INSIDE A VEHICLE WHOSE DOORS WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE.
THE SPEAKERS ARE MADE CHEAP PLASTIC THAT THE MAGNET ON BACK FALLS OFF. THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ARE EASILY TO BREAK DUE TO PLASTIC VERY BRITTLE ALL 4 DOORS ARE BROKE MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO OPEN DOORS. ALSO THE TRANSMISSION WILL SPUTTER AS IF I'M RUNNING OUT OF GAS. WHILE DRIVING THE CONNECTION FROM AIR CONTROL KNOB HAS BURNED OUT AIR ONLY BLOWS ON HIGH. ALSO THE PART THAT SWITCHES FORM COLD TO HEAT ,THE PLASTIC GEARS WORE DOWN NOW WILL NOW SWITCH OVER .. OVER ALL THESE VEHICLES ARE OVER PRICED FOR ALL THE CHEAP PLASTIC PARTS THAT ARE USED. I HAVE READ THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES WERE TRYING TO GET ON RECALL LIST BUT GUESS IT DIDN'T MAKE IT . UNABLE TO SELECT A DATE THIS ALL HAPPENED BUT IT BEEN OVER THE YEARS STARTING IN 2007
THE PLASTIC SURROUNDING THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ON 3 OF THE DOORS HAS BROKEN AWAY. ONE OF THOSE DOORS NOW CANNOT BE OPENED FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THIS ISSUE COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS IF THERE IS A WRECK AND/OR FIRE THAT THE OCCUPANT NEEDS TO EXIT THE VEHICLE QUICKLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,000.

I HAVE A 2005 GRAND CHEROKEE I BOUGHT IT NEW AND IT HAVE 48575 MILE THIS VEHICLE HAS PROBLEM SINCE I BOUGHT IT WHEN IT RAIN THE WATER COME IN THE DRIVER SIDE I MAKE MANY COMPLAIN TO JEEP ABOUT IT AN THEY ARE NOT FIXING THE PROBLEM NOW ALL MY DOOR PANEL WERE THE HANDLE IS ARE BROKEN AND JEEP DON'T WANT TO FIX IT .THE COST ON ME TO REPLACE THE PANEL FOR EACH DOOR ARE ABOUT SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS EACH PANEL AND THAT IS SOME [XXX] . "TAKATA RECALL" MY 2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WAS PURCHASED USED FROM A DEALERSHIP WITH "0" OPEN RECALLS. AFTER OWNING THE VEHICLE LESS THAN 2 MONTHS, HIT A POT HOLE AND THE PASSENGERS AIR BAG DEACTIVATION LIGHT AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ARE BOTH ON. IN ADDITION, THE TIRE INFLATION INDICATOR IS ON AND WE PAID TO HAVE A NEW SENSOR INSTALLED. LIGHT IS STILL ON-BEING TOLD THERE IS A MALFUNCTION. HAVE READ OTHER COMPLAINTS FILED WHICH STATE BOTH THE AIRBAG AND TIRE SENSOR INDICATORS HAVE COME ON AT THE SAME TIME.
I PURCHASED SOME HAWK BRAND ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS TO REPLACE WHAT I HAD OEM. IMMEDIATELY, THE PRODUCT BEGAN TO FAIL. AFTER HAVING THE PRODUCT ON THE VEHICLE FOR 2000 MILES THE BRAKE PADS HAD TO BE REPLACED. I CONTACTED THE COMPANY WHO REFUSED TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE FAULTY PRODUCT. THERE WAS INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE, WHICH CREATED AS A SAFETY ISSUE AS WELL AS THE BRAKE PADS NOT BEING ABLE TO KEEP THE VEHICLE FROM MOVING FORWARD WHEN PARKED ON AN INCLINE.

WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), THE DEALER ALSO REMEDIED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V175000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN). AFTER THE RECALL REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A FAILURE WITH THE TRANSFER CASE CHANGING GEARS TO AN IMPROPER GEAR WHILE DRIVING. PRIOR TO THE REPAIRS, THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 190,000.
I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT PAULDING CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE IN DALLAS, GA ON 5-17-16. THIS APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED ONE WEEK PRIOR TO 5-17-16 TO REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH (P41) AND TO UPDATE A COMPUTER SYSTEM (P73). I WAS TOLD THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS IN STOCK. I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN FOR THE REPAIR AT 0830 ON 5-17-16. I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL @ 1300 FROM ONE OF THE SERVICE MANAGERS (NATE) TELLING ME THAT THE PART WAS NOT IN STOCK TO REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH AND I WOULD HAVE TO BRING IT BACK IN WHEN THE PART WAS AVAILABLE. WHEN I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE THAT AFTERNOON I WAS TOLD THAT THE DEALERSHIP WOULD CONTACT ME AND RESCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE IGNITION SWITCH. SINCE THEN, I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM THE DEALERSHIP AND MY VEHICLE HAS LOST POWER 3 TIMES AFTER I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE. I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY WHEN THE VEHICLE LOST POWER THE FIRST TIME AND TWICE SITTING AT A RED LIGHT. I NEED THIS RESOLVED RIGHT AWAY. I AM A HOME HEALTH RN AND I DRIVE ALL DAY SEEING PATIENTS.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A MAIN ROAD, MY CAR COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. MY STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED, GAS AND BRAKE PETAL WERE NOT WORKING, BASICALLY MY CAR WAS GOING ON ITS OWN. THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ARE CONNECTED BY PIECE OF CHEAP PLASTIC AND THE PLASTIC BREAKS EASILY; RENDERING THE INTERIOR HANDLES USELESS. IT'S HAPPENING ON 3 OF MY 4 HANDLES. IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IT MAKES THE INDOOR HANDLES UN-USEABLE. IF INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, IT MAY MAKE IT DIFFICULT, IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THERE ARE MANY,MANY COMPLAINTS. I BELIEVE IT'S INVOLVES MOST GRAND CHEROKEES FROM YEARS 2005-2010 AND JEEP IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE. HOWEVER THEY HAVE OFFERED NO RESOLUTION OTHER THAN REPLACING THEM. THIS REQUIRES REPLACING THE ENTIRE INTERIOR DOOR PANEL AT AN EXPENSE OF AT LEAST $500 PER DOOR. I AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS CAN NOT AFFORD TO REPLACE THEM. NOR SHOULD CONSUMERS HAVE TO FOOT THE BILLS FOR AN OBVIOUS, COSTLY AND DANGEROUS DESIGN FLAW.

THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE AND BOTH REAR INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES EXHIBITED EXCESSIVE CRACKS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 163,415.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THREE OF THE FOUR INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES FRACTURED. THE DOORS COULD NOT BE OPENED FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO INDICATED THAT THE FOURTH INSIDE DOOR HANDLE WAS CRACKED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. BROUGHT VEHICLE IN FOR OIL CHANGE (ONLY OIL CHANGE). JEEP DEALER GAVE BACK VEHICLE BACK WITH A NEW IGNITION STATING THERE WAS A RECALL ON IT WITHOUT ME ASKING OR AUTHORIZING THEM TO DO SO. NOW I HAVE A NEW IGNITION THAT IS NOT FLUSH WITH THE DASH (STICKS OUT ABOUT HALF AN INCH) AND DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY WITH MY ORIGINAL KEYS. MY KEYS ARE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO GO IN AND OUT OF THE IGNITION AND ON 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS THE KEY WAS UNABLE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION RESULTING IN THE ACC BEING LEFT ON OVERNIGHT AND BEING FORCED TO TAKE VEHICLE TO DEALER IN THE MORNING WITH A DEAD BATTERY. DEALER STATES I NEED TO PURCHASE A NEW KEY BECAUSE MY KEYS ARE ORIGINAL AND THE IGNITION THEY REPLACED IS BRAND NEW AND ARE NOT SYNCED UP. THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME IT IS MY PROBLEM TO PURCHASE NEW KEYS FOR THE JEEP THAT HAD NO ISSUES PRIOR TO THEM REPLACING THE IGNITION. CALLED JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY TOLD ME I WOULD BE GIVEN A NEW KEY BUT THAN PUT ME ON HOLD FOR 20 MINUTES AND TOLD ME IT IS ACTUALLY MY RESPONSIBILITY TO PURCHASE A NEW KEY AFTER THEY CHANGED OUT MY IGNITION.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND REPAIRED PER A MANUFACTURER'S RECALL TO ADDRESS THE FAILURES. SHORTLY AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR, THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE, THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SHORTED OUT, AND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES FAILED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND PROVIDED NO RECOMMENDATION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 175,000.
THE GAUGES INTERMITTENTLY WORK, THE RADIO WORKS INTERMITTENTLY, THE POWER WINDOWS DON'T WORK, THE POWER DOOR LOCKS DON'T WORK, THE POWER SEAT DOESN'T WORK, THE POWER MIRRORS DON'T WORK AND I'VE HAD THE VEHICLE INTO MY LOCAL JEEP DEALERSHIP (WILLY RACINE'S JEEP) REPEATEDLY FOR ELECTRICAL ISSUES. THEY HAVE REPLACED A VARIETY OF COMPONENTS INCLUDING THE IGNITION CYLINDER AND SWITCH. I CONTINUE TO HAVE PROBLEMS. THE BATTERY AND STARTER HAVE ALSO BEEN REPLACED AS THE CAR WAS EITHER HAVING A HARD TIME TURNING OVER, WOULDN'T TURN OVER OR EVEN STALLED WHILE DRIVING. THOSE ISSUES STILL CONTINUE BUT VERY INFREQUENTLY.
WHILE DRIVING, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WILL FLICKER ON AND OFF, THE HEATER/COOLER BLOWER SHUTS DOWN, CUTS OUT. THE SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER QUIT WORKING AS WELL.
TRANSMISSION OIL TURNED MILKY AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. AFTER SERVICING TRANSMISSION VEHICLE NOW WILL NOT ENGAGE INTO PARK, STAYS IN REVERSE. VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN IT WOULD NOT MOVE FROM PARKING SPOT BUT, AFTER TRANS FLUID WAS CHANGED AND TRANS SERVICED WHEN YOU GO TO PARK IT AND PUT THE SHIFTER INTO PARK THE VEHICLE MOVES IN REVERS.
FRONT PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE CRACKED / VECH. HAS APPROX 60K MILES LITTLE USE FOR A 2005
ALL 4 OF MY INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAVE CRACKED AROUND THE DOOR HANDLE ITSELF. THE PLASTIC SUPPORTING THE DOOR HANDLES HAS BROKEN LEAVING THE DOOR HANDLE USELESS. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS WITH THE SAME ISSUE AROUND THE 2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE AND A RECALL SHOULD HAVE BEEN ISSUED. GOD FORBID A FIRE OCCURS THE PASSENGERS IN THE CAR WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE FROM THE INSIDE!!!!!
VEHICLE WILL NOT SHIFT INTO CORRECT GEAR WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A DEAD STOP. TOPS OUT AT 3,000 RPMS AT 60MPH. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. BUT WILL AT LEAST HAPPEN 2 TIMES A DAY. WHEN IT HAPPENS YOU HAVE TO PULL OVER AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTART. THIS MOST LIKELY WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN IN TRAFFIC. THIS TYPICALLY HAPPENS WHEN YOU STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND START TO TAKE OFF. I HAD THE CENSERS CHANGED IN THE TRANSMISSION BUT DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 100,000 MILES ON IT. IT IS GETTING WORSE EVERY DAY KNOW.
NOTICED THE "PASS AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT" WAS STAYING ON ALL THE TIME. THEN I RECEIVED A P41 IGNITION SWITCH RECALL. TOOK THE CAR TO A CHRYSLER DEALER FOR IGNITION SWITCH REPLACEMENT. AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT STILL STAYS ON AFTER SWITCH REPLACEMENT. MY REASONING IS THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ORIGINALLY CAME ON BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL IGNITION SWITCH WAS FAULTY AND CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE AIR BAG AND/OR IT'S SENSOR CIRCUITRY. IS THERE ANY RECOURSE UNDER THIS RECALL TO RECTIFY THIS AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT PROBLEM WITH HOPEFULLY NO COST TO ME.
I HAVE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THREE TIMES SINCE DECEMBER 2015 TO CHECK ON THE STATUS OF MY RECALL. THEY HAVE PUT ME ON A WAIT LIST WITH NO RETURN CALL AND NO SIGN OF THIS BEING COMPLETED. WHEN OPENING UP THE RIGHT REAR PASSENGER DOOR, THE DOOR LATCH BROKE OFF IN MY DAUGHTERS HAND. NO FORCE ABLE OPENING HAD BEEN DONE, THIS WAS IN A PARKED POSITION STOPPED IN A PARKING LOT STALL. I DO NOT ALLOW ANY PASSENGERS ON THIS SIDE FOR FEAR OF NOT BEING ABLE TO GET OUT IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.

I HAVE TO TOGGLE THE LIGHT SWITCH ON AND OFF TO TRY AND STOP THE FLICKER OR EVEN TO GET THE LIGHTS TO COME BACK ON BECAUSE SOMETIMES THE LIGHTS STAY OFF EVEN WHEN THE SWITCH IS IN THE ON POSITION. THIS IS EXTREMELY SCARY WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT AND I'M SURE IT IRRITATES THE HECK OUT OF ANYONE WHO SEE'S MY LIGHTS FLICKERING. THEY THINK I'M SIGNALING THEM FOR SOME REASON. REALLY NEED A FIX FOR THIS ASAP. HOPE DAIMLER/CHRSLER ISN'T WAITING FOR DEATH/ACCIDENT TOLL BEFORE THEY FIX THIS ISSUE. I HAVE ALREADY HAD THE IGNITION SWITCH REPLACED PER THE RECENT RECALL AND THE PROBLEM WITH THE LIGHTS PERSISTS.
